  • It's hard to imagine what a new game mode could be in a game like dbd, I know plenty of people have suggested repairing a car but I feel that wouldn't really be it. However I'm not sure how different the node would be, there would have to be looping as usual, a killer. So what do you all think could possibly be added as a new game mode?

  • Is this a bug or a cheat? Experienced this around 4 times a least since the Witch dlc: I hit a survivor, hit them again and they don't go down! The hit connects along with the sound etc, but they just dart foward like they've taken an extra hit. They didn't use any medi-kits or syringes and this is not Mettle Of Man. What's going on?

  • hi, The Q/A stream was very informative and I would like to point out this part in the video: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1270103249?t=0h22m32s There he explains wonderfully what the SBMM is all about. I would like to write it again: BHVR definitely chose the right way here and made the right decision. I know there will be some who disagree with the final decision of the developers, but I mys

  • Did the devs say anything about the data received back from that? I know it happened a while ago, but we seemed to have gotten the experiment but it went nowhere. Did I miss anything they said?

  • I started out in QA and used to develop for some mmo's for level design outsourced, map building, and pvp balance (yes, literal pvp balance overhauls in the mid and late 2000s). People are mad, malding, and all of the above. So I gotta ask how deeply do you play your own game? I say this because, if theres any question the people on your team are out of touch with the game you guys are wor

  • Dwight is in chase, i should stay on generator. Dwight is on hook and Meg is not doing anything. So i should stay on gen, probably Meg is going to save. Dwight is on hook and killer is camping him. Okey i should focus on gen and then we can save him with teamplay. etc. This is greatest change. I know we are complaining so much but i will give that, this is one of the best jobs from you guy

  • So twins’ add ons are being nerfed because apparently she is a “monster” at high level play and these add ons affect her kill rate too much. So this begs the question. What about Nurse? She’s by far the best killer at high level and her range and recharge add ons are ridiculous when stacked. But apparently Nurse is fine? Surely these add ons should be looked at too right?

  • Why cant they change the number of addon or perk more often when they say it does not take a programer to do those change. If they did that more often like i dont know every 2 or 3 week then maybe people will maybe use more perk and the player will be happy.

  • I guarantee you most of what he said was probably read off a script. I get it if you are annoyed with the state of the game, but just because a face has been put to the terrible arguments doesn't mean it's their fault, much more goes into development and to think that one person controls everything is just ridiculous. I really did not like the stream, but seeing the way people are going out of th

  • Well if that doesnt highlight the issue of balance alone. So we nerf most killer addons because of the one player who mains and masters one killer meanwhile we balance for casual survivors so everyone can have fun. What? Why do we make killer harder for the more average playerbase? Not even gonna go into their SBMM and how they try to back it up, embarrassing to say the least.

  • At this point it seems like they just do not care about this killer to even entertain the idea that perhaps they are not as good as they think. It reminds me of that terrible boss that only focuses on quantity, rather than getting the full details of why the quality sucks. Toy Sword was already an underwhelming add on to begin with, and to even come close to comparing it to something like Alche

  • Welcome back to the DBD forum game show this or that! It’s been a long time since we have last aired a This Or That! This time you say which perk you think is better, this or that. Both hook perks!

  • i srsly dont know why they dont change addons on the fly to keep the game fresh you were like super proud that you can disable bugged addons or maps or killers ? why arent you changing addons every patch? and if something is to broken and you cant put your finger on it ,why , simply disable it and return it to pre buff/nerf in the same question (addons nerfs for weak killers) peanits

  • A lot of questions got this new style of deflection. It seems that adding a practice mode, removing perk tiers, getting to the optimization on console they promised years ago, making a 'nuanced' sbmm system, or even just saying what the ratio of survivor/killer is is all just too hard. Personally I'm glad they innovated in new non-answers and look forward to even more new ways of getting my time

  • Patrick, the leading game designer, has openly said that if you get 9 hooks as killer, your MMR shouldnt be adjusted at all because you didnt kill anybody. Because in BHVR's mind Kills=Skill=MMR. This not only shows they have no idea what a skilled player in their own video game actually is, its also shows they have no concept of what MMR is. If you play a match as killer and get 9 hooks you

  • Even though COH is being nerfed next patch people aren’t happy with it saying it’s still going to be the same and nothing changed. I do agree the perk will still be strong cause of the self heal action. But I don’t want the perk to be nerfed to where it’s mediocre I want to make it so it’s more fair while still strong. I came up with 2 changes and I want you guys to decide what you think the ch

  • So I assume at low mmr the killer wins, mid mmr is split and high mmr is a loss. I honestly dont see this as a balanced map just because overall it averages 2k tbh and I think that's a bad way to balance maps Thoughts from you lot?

  • I don’t usually post about videos but OhTofu had an interesting video about MMR this week where he breaks down what he considers faulty arguments against the system and arguments against it that have some validity. A lot of what he says I’ve said independently at one point or another so I wanted to give the vid a shout out. I’m not going to try and bullet point the whole thing, but TLDR you can

  • If you want to win against good survivors. This perk is mandatory. Without it, the generators will quickly envy you, and you will not have time to do anything. And once on Q&A there was a topic about adding Borrowed Time to the basic set of survivors. I would really like to see Corrupt Intervention added to the base kit. Thus, it will become easier for all killers to play and a precious slot

  • I've seen a lot of comments mentioning that the nerf would increase self-healing time by 4s and (and I thought it would too), It seems to be not so simple the way the perk works for self-healing. CoH allows self-healing at 50% of standard speed and increases all healing speeds by 100%. So we have self-healing at 50% + 100% of 50%, totaling the 100% speed of a standard heal. After the nerf we wi

  • I ntroduction: As you may or may not know, there was a Q&A yesterday, where Patrick (lead game designer), Peanits (community manager) and Justin (product manager), answered questions that were asked on twitter and on the forum by the community. I want to specifically react to Patrick's claim that basing MMR on hook state as well as escape/kill could break the system and maybe put an 8h 0k

  • If you want an explanation and analogy makes no since when it comes to player skill i would say listen to Scott's take on it. I would also add that most really good survivors(and i would take a good survivor as good in chases and good in decision making) usually don't care about getting out. Most good or confident survivors do what? They go try and find the killer right off the bat which doesn't

  • The explanation during the Q&A why the mmr only takes kills into account instead of hooks, made me realize that the current system works just like the Victory Cube used to work. During the VC, a killer who got 2 kills +1 hook had a guaranteed pip. While a killer who got 7 hooks but no kill depiped and a killer with 8 hooks and no kill black piped. Back then, killers realized how easy it was

  • Now that they've decided that 4 seconds was enough, we can enjoy people healing across half of The Game and all other multi-level maps, the continued nonviability of any hit and run style, and so on. BHVR never accepts making a mistake so they will insist until the end of time that boons are fine and that CoH is 'balanced' now. I'm laughing. The game is unbalanced, and I'm laughing. If you don't

  • A really hot topic I see right now is about MMR and that it's not working or that basing it off of just kills is a bad idea. Well I actually agree with the devs in that kills are the biggest indicator of skill. Not the only indicator, but the biggest. So a big argument I see against this is that hooks actually matter more than kills. Well do they really? I totally get that 8 hooks with 0 kills

  • New to the forums but I had to make an account to post this. I'm someone who plays regularly as both survivors and killers - not the best but not the worst with either and quite impartial when it comes to both camps. Not sure if anyone mentioned this but Dead Hard has got to be the most overused, overpowering and broken perk in the game. I'm sure you could maybe say the same about 1-2 perks but

  • I didn't expect much to be honest. I just got a really fancy "no" to an honest suggestion that many, many, many people have suggested. What astounds me is that they even mentioned that removing perk tiers WOULD reduce the grind by 66%, but that it wouldn't be worth investing time into instead of a real permanent solution. I have to say BHVR, this solution you guys have in mind better

  • Since sbmm came out did u change approach to the game? Do you like it more? Or don't play at all? My personal experience is that i don't take the game seriously anymore, it effects my mental sanity especially when it comes to sweaty games over and over again. I was used to play a lot before it came out, around 90h in the last 2 weeks according to steam, now i have 10h the last 2 weeks which i

  • You've got to be kidding me. A significant percentage of your player base quit playing this past fall (myself included) due to boon totems and SBMM and all the devs could say was that they don't see a problem with either issue?!?!?! SIMPLY LOOKING AT DATA IS NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU THE ANSWERS TO PLAYER'S COMPLAINTS. The devs REALLY give the impression that they don't play their own game when i

  • Guess what? Old Undying + Ruin. The difference is that old Undying could be the first totem to be destroyed. I hope devs acknowledge how COH is extremely unhealthy and it does all the work for survivors, just like old Undying. A tweak to the healing speed does not adress the issue.

  • Downstairs there is a room with one entrance where a generator can spawn and there is an opening to the ceiling on the other side and like a half wall you can hide behind. I was doing the gen there and two survivors drop in. Then Plague comes in and proceeds to stand at the entrance vomiting repeatedly on the three of us but never moving. What the heck are we supposed to do lol
