I ran into the same killer (player) 3 times in a row, The same tryharder, can't say the last 30 minutes of my life were awesome. I've come to the conclusion that considering grabs never work due to the latency registering actions, the most balanced thing is to allow you to grab someone off a healing action so survivors can't just heal in your face without a care in order to force someone to escape or recover. Just because you don't like versing a certain perk, or killer, or playstyle, doesn't automatically mean they are an issue. Nor does a game mechanic being hard to verse automatically make it unfun (Pyramid head, Artist, Blight, etc). Release Legion was an issue due to them having 0 meaningful counters. Its just feels bad that out of 27 killers like 2 usable at high mmr to achieve results. I get it that solo survivors dont have the tools to deal with that high power level, but then if they got the tools, then would be no problem to give killers the power to deal with SWF. We noticed something was up pretty early in the match when every gen on the map was blocked and every totem was lit. It seemed to have every add on and perk equipped at once. The phasing speed seemed to be MDR+yellow+brown. Vault speed was bamboozle+all stacks of Fire Up. Etc. It seemed to get really confused in the basement around the hooks. We see a bunch of threads about camping nearly every day. To get things clear I am a killer main and I am 100% against camping except I can see that it is a tacticall move in endgame situations. A few thoughts beyond the perspective of in-game balance. I think it is pretty interesting to understand a game from business view. Any maintenance/updates/balance decision of the game is business-oriented, which means the ultimate goal is to increase the players amount, thus potentially leads to more revenue. I don't know what happened, but I simply cannot rank up as survivor anymore. I was 4/5 to Iridescent III, now I'm at 2/5 after about 10 matches yesterday and today (solo). Before the matchmaking tests I was able to rank up consistently by doing gens, unhooking and healing survivors and being chased a few times. Maybe it's just me, but as I play Killer I get more and more annoyed. I could play perfectly , but some maps just make it so I can't do anything. An amazing example is The Game. Especially after it's rework; the amount of safe pallets in it is ######### atrociously bad. Although playing off-meta can be difficult in the times of MMR, I still feel that it's important to sometimes take a break from the meta perks and enjoy some unique builds. For me, I like using a massive terror radius build on Doc or looting builds for survivor. Pallet shredder builds with killers like Bubba, Nemy, Blight, and even Legion are also lots of fun. Are there any maps or positions on a map etc that a bot will be confused at? Maybe you could give us some tips because we definitely need it considering there are cheating bots running around with all perks right now. Any good strategies? BHVR, if you wait for the AI bot to be rampant on DbD before starting to take measures to counter it, it will be too late. Find another anti-cheat system, co-work with some companies that are actually good at it or require EAC to greatly improve their service Using a kernel 0 anticheat is now a necessity, not only for DbD but for all multiplayer games. Personally, still trying to figure out Onryo, but always find myself rotating between my current learning/fun killers (Ghostface, Myers, Nemesis, Spirit) and my workhorses (Hag, Artist, Cenobite, Doctor).
