Is there a reason why the game runs smoothly in Custom games than actual games?

Seems to me that there is a massive difference in the FPS

    Because KYF mode still uses the killer makes the lobby method of joining that the game used until dedicated servers were introduced. The consoles, especially the last gen machines, can handle these connections much easier it seems.

    Others way smarter than me prolly can answer why.

    You can be playing with someone from China in online matches, while in kyf you're prob playing with friends that are near you or in dame country
