I think I'm just getting more lucky LOL. Not only as a killer main myself, been letting survivors keep crowns and if they want, farm with me. I also been getting nice killers that farm whenever I play survivor this week or just fair sports that tell me I played well. My first match of the day so far was this really nice blight that let me keep my crown on feng. I let him hit me, and hook me for him to get points as well.

Not saying I always farm though. It's a bit harder for survivors to get crowns, when I dont feel like farming I will play normally, I just won't kill them. I pretty much ######### off for the rest of the match.

was I that blight? did the blight have golden cane, bloody torso and that blighted head? I mightve been him cause I did that exact thing

If you play killer people are almost never very nice in the endgame chat.

When everyone offers a cake and you get 4K as killer you can better just say gg and leave because people will almost always insult you or call you a camping and tunneling tryhard.

hmm maybe its just me but even tho I play mostly killer like 80% killer ive still noticed alot less toxic people even when they lose guess its justm me

The only way you can chill and still make it to high mmr is if there is some gross imbalance for one side vs the other.🤔

A lot of people who play this game to chill and if SBMM actually works the way it’s intended every game will become a sweat fest

if they chill wont they be able to chill with other chill killers? or the other way around at a lower level of mmr? cause wanting to chill and wanting easy games is two different things

This is a thread for you to share more pleasant moments from DbD, to remind us all that toxicity isn't all that there is. I'll start.

I'm not sure who the killer was playing, but long story short, I was destroyed by them early on. I think the last survivor got the hatch.

I checked out their profile, as I usually do when I'm killed off early to pass the time, and saw that they had played "Ori and the Will of the Wisps", the sequel to "Ori and the Blind Forest". These are games I've been curious about, but never really tried before because of all the promotion surrounding it (the more something is promoted, the less I want it and the more I suspect it's utter crap).

We ended up having a nice conversation about the games. I asked them what they thought of it, to which they gave the games complete praise. I explained that I wasn't too much into platformers, but they assured me that wasn't an issue because the game was simply incredible and I'd barely notice it.

I haven't bought either of them because I'm saving up for a new everything (GPU, CPU, RAM, motherboard) and still want Cyberpunk 2077, but I'll probably be checking out the first game when it's on sale. Worst case-scenario, my BF will love it.

    What are your wholesome moments?

idk I was playin blight and saw steve hiding and let him go cause steve = mercy and let him go and he was wholesome in post game but it was ruined by someone who was mad that they didnt get hatch but he did, ruined a wholesome moment

Just run head on and take them out that way then you preserve pallets

Somehow they might randomly walk into your Gen and following you at 80% Gen.

You're forced to pay like 20sec or even more because of their slow speed that time massive time to bait them get out of the place. Slow speed is the problems.

I willingly to take more Zombie in map but

increase their speed to make it easier & less time to bait them to go away.

Decrease their attack speed so survivor can bait their attack (but increase their range attack and target homing to comprehend).

Give Survivor more way to kill them.

maybe they could have a dodging thing so after they attack if you dodge it they have a short time where you can kick them to stun them for like 30 secs

  • @ad19970 said:

I kind of agree with this. Wasting a pallet just to kill a zombie that respawns shortly after is a bit much in my opinion. Although to be fair you can still use it until the killer breaks it.

But I do not think it should go back up automatically. Instead, if a pallet is used succesfully to kill a zombie, survivors should be able to put the pallet back up again, just like with Any Means Necessary, but it should take like something between 10 and 15 seconds in my opinion, since the main purpose of zombies is to pressure survivors where the Nemesis isn't.

maybe they can make the pallet go back up instantly but after that if its used again it infects you with the blue goo on the pallet maybe idk

cause every good game has a learning curve, its more fun that way and also balances the killer a bit

I’m not trying to be toxic or anything, I just truly think his power is not the best, it’s basically a mish-mash of everything into one character:

He can hit through pallets like Pyramid head, infect you like Plague, has 3 tiers of his power like Michael Myers, can break pallets instantly like one of Legion’s add-on.

therefore making him basically a dbd’s version of “Jack of all trades master of none” which is not entirely bad but rather disappointing, personally at least.

So I thought he needs some upgrades mostly to his tentacle strike’s tiers (since they take SO much to build and has anti-climatic upgrades) so why not redo his ability a bit? Here’s my suggestion:

    Nemesis’ powers will be determined by the amount of T-virus he has;

    25%=tier 1, 50%=tier 2, 100%=tier 3.

At base (with no juice of T-virus) your tentacle attack doesn’t damage survivors but grab them in to his place and infect them (if you have any juice less than 25%), with a bit longer range than the current version (much like deathslinger). With him walking instead of running.

In tier 1: He uses his tentacle to damage survivors and no longer grab them (basically the current version).

At tier 2: He still uses his tentacle and damage survivors but can break pallets and breakable walls with a faster base speed and he starts to run instead of walking (like the current’s version).

At tier 3: He no longer uses his tentacle, but he’s able to run really fast (250% speed), and gain the ability to leap (much like Victor), and if he landed he will leave an impact damage that will damage any survivor around said radius, and if Nemesis himself stomps on a survivor it will damage them for one health state and can also hit through pallets as well. (And perhaps the weak umbrella ultra rare addon will make him instantly down survivors if he stomps on them directly).

and the more you use his powers (even his base ability) the more T-virus juice you consume therefore you have to refill it by hitting the zombies in the map or you can simply stick to infecting survivors with T-virus.

In compensation of giving survivors pistols (NO MEMES HERE) to take out the zombies, much like Resident Evil franchise, to prevent Nemesis from gaining his power and protecting yourself from the zombie attack, it will be scattered around the map (and respawn after awhile), and it shouldn’t categorized as a whole item as it specifically counters one niche therefore it should be worn like a charm (but on the other side of where charms are usually worn). press a button and start an animation that will attack any zombie in one line (much like the older version of RE 3 and 2) aaaand it’s a one time use to prevent survivors cheesing their games.

All done. Thank you for reading :)

I kinda like him alot, he seems a bit too good for his difficulty and rng element but maybe if instead of making him worse just make him more difficult

Can we talk about the crutch killer build? Corrupt, ruin,pop,tinkerer/bbq. When it works it stalls the game with corrupt. Then you have 2 gen regression perks which ones guaranteed to get value. In a match were this works the killer gets so much leeway the survivors cant come back from. Then throw it on a good killer that already operates fine like blight nurse or spirit its very overkill. Point is both sides have bs perks and builds that need and wil eventually be addressed its not just one side.

lets talk about both being cancer and instead of fixing only one sides problems fix both to make all communities better and more happy

if hes tunneling you DS should work

    Period. 50/50 killer/survivor, 3k hours.

Midwich is literally the worst map in the game, for killers and survivors. I highly doubt you can convince me otherwise.

There's too many pallets for survivors to use, even if they're unsafe. Stuns still gain distance.

It's almost impossible to find a safe way to get from the first level to the second level as survivor.

90% of the map is a straight hallway with no room for counterplay. Due to the fact that there's ONE safe pallet on the whole map, it's a crapshoot for who wins.

Whoever designed this map did a horrible job. I would play the most killer sided map as survivor or the most survivor sided map as killer 100 time before I would play this monstrosity of a map ONCE as either role.

outdated but its my favorite map on both sides

To be honest I never heard any dev saying that j-flicking was intended. If it was intended then why can't console players j-flick? and why do I need to have 2000+ DPI to do it? I mean you can show me a clip or the thread where a dev said it was intended if you want to.

Listen, I love playing Blight but all these conversation about j-flicking yay or nay are becoming really boring. People posted hundreds of threads when it was "publicy" discovered. Even if the devs were okay with it at first, that doesn't change the fact they want it fixed now. I'm pretty sure J-flicking is fun and all but it is really not the end of the world. Blight will still be a really fun killer.

want the clip? FLICKING is intended its when you max out the normal turn, melee and max out that turn you can do a really good flick and it actually takes skill but jflicks are an exploit and I dont support them as they are non intended I havent even been using the jflicks but rather flicks not jflicks. So when ppl say they will be removed, they think that will be removed entirely I think they are just saying that the exploit version of the jflick will be removed not the flick or I guess its not a flick but rather the bigger range of turning but its basically a more skill needed jflick.

  • technicly you could youd be suprised if you first max out the turn and then melee maxing it out, you can do a flick but I have come to the realization that j flicks are different from just a flick a normal flick takes some skill and I actually wasnt even using a jflick only a normal flick which makes the survivors even worse

Not gunna lie one of the most jumbled confusing venting rants I've read in a while so thank you for that.

Interesting some are still tilted about that jflick knowing it is gone soon, kinda thought it has been fought over enough. My biggest gripe with it is you need one of those mousey thing devices to even attempt it. But I've never went after the killer verbally because I suspected they were using it either.

Hope your next match goes smooth, and is a tad bit quieter afterward!

The avg normal mouse has just enough to flick I think it doesnt need to be that high its recomended I think around 1800

  • see part of my problem with this game is the conflicting things with the dev team, first it was oh its completely intended and will not be removed then a week later NONE OF IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE WE SHALL REMOVE, almo doesnt even know about jflicks, how can they be so devided about these things?

  • @LazyPayday said:

So basically, you posted on the forums because someone didn't like that you flicked with Blight, you dirty flicker.

  • @syain said:

Could you please elaborate on that "360s are okay and have ALOT of similarities with the j flick" part, please? I'm just curious.

360s werent really intended and are much like blights flicking thing a movement "exploit" but they were made a feature and accepted cuz they are easily counterable and much like jflicks (some ppl have already mastered countering it) people have and will counter it A LARGE % of the time. And if you say oh well if you 360 "it just makes it impossible to hit someone" just as you say "its impossible to not get hit." your lying cuz its EASILY counterable 360s (you see they are setting up) you quickly react, jflicks are similar but kinda differant you have to read what they are doing and make the right play to get away and if they miss a j flick its really really punishable and in most cases I still find bumping off things and hitting them normaly (which I did through that game most the time, yet they just singled out the one or two instances of me flicking) is more effective and consistent. I went on a ramble but I think this sorta kinda explains it but I am definitly missing many parts of my point but I dont want to type anymore so bye.

I feel like you're mad, but I'm just confused.

The problem with stuff like this, is players will abuse it. "I lost in a way I didn't like, everyone gets a - ". You have to make something that can't be abused, which is much easier said than done. I also imagine a lot of players giving props or rewarding each other for being toxic to the killer.

what if you could only props someone and it has to be the killer or a survivor to stop from abuse (killer has to vote a survivor and the other way around too)

    hey all,

a rather short (looking back at it after writing it, it wasnt that short after all - ive added a short TL;DR at the bottom ^^), rantish kind of post today, so my apologies for that.

so ive been playing quite a bit of survivor recently. obviously my main goal is getting the tome challenges done, so ive been doing that a lot lately.

however, throughout the games ive played as a survivor i made two observations (they tie into one another, so they are based on the same thing):

    1) hook suicides are VERY common with solo survivors

    2) a vast majority of my games that the killer got a 3 - 4k are because of someone suiciding on hook early on. more often than not, with a functioning team (you know, one where no one ragequits at 5 gens), the killer got 0 - 2 kills (unless we threw last second and started a basement party ofc - not that that would ever happen of course. ahem anyway...)

why is it that so many people feel the need to suicide early on into the game?

at least to me, this is the main thing that ruins the solo survivor experience: teammates that just refuse to participate and quit, leaving everyone else behind to die.

yeah certain killers arent the most fun to play against or sometimes you meet your occasional hardcamper / tunneler / slugger, but none of those instances are even close to the amounf of people i see suiciding on hooks.

wasnt the whole point of the DC penalty system to force people to keep playing the game they queued up for? im not saying hook suicides were as frequent as DCs were back in the day - that would just be an absurd statement - but they are still way, way too common and imho there should be a penalty for it.

that doesnt have to be as big as the DC penalty, but when someone repeatedly suicides on hook early on imo its best for them, and everyone that has to play with them (and gets forced into an instant lose scenario due to their actions), if they were to take a little break from the game.

and just to be clear: i am NOT talking about someone not struggeling to give their mate hatch or sthg like that. i am soley talking about those who will suicide on hook immediately when they are caught, usually pretty early on into the game, ruining the experience for not only their fellow survivors, but (at least in my case) also the killer. at that point its no better than when someone DCed back in the day.

    my suggestion:

make hook suicides reportable. I'm not saying someone who hook suicided once or twice should get banned immediately, however if you hook suicided like 5 (or more) times in like two hours, maybe you should be taking a break. at that point you basically left more games early than you had time to complete, so why are you even playing?

so please stop hook suiciding, if you are someone who does it. you're ruining everyone elses game. I dont want penaltys to be necessary, but sadly they are - and YOU can change that!

    welp, thats about it.

thanks for reading, sorry that it was such a rantish post of mine - but hook suicides really get my blood boiling.

anyway, whats your take on the topic? do you too hate hook suicides too or do you think they are fine / dont care? do you think my suggestion is good or bad? i'd like to hear your thoughts on this!

have a good day / night!

    TL;DR:

hook suicides suck the fun out of DbD and imho they should be a reportable and ultimately bannable offense. if you queue up to play the game, you should be playing it and allow everyone else to have the chance of playing a normal game aswell.

    please stop hook suiciding.

I posted something about this, a -1 point for a certain plater or +1 for being a good or bad teamate or killer cuz it would give rewards for being a good teamate or killer not being scummy and toxic, and while it would be easily exploitable to do to ppl who does something you dont like the -1 would be cool to give feedback on some players

In my opinion, i think DBD its evolving to some kind of scary mobile game ( which has a lot of customer and its cheaper to develop ) so they kind of lost interest in PC/Console and by doing so it lost its dark/scary feeling

It was scary at first cuz we werent used to it and now its so sweaty its hard to remember its a horror game at all

Some of you might remember that Myers used to be able to stalk all survivors in his FOV simultaneously, which would increase the speed at which his power gauge would fill. This made him much more dangerous when survivors grouped up in trials and it was a strategy amongst survivors to keep dispersing when he started stalking them.

It lead to a more engaging and diverse playstyle in those days and I'm not the only player who was sad to see it removed as it was deemed too strong back then.

However, considering Myers isn't the strongest killer around anymore and could use some help, I think this would be an easy buff to him, to give him an edge against grouped up survivors.

I'm curious about what you guys think.

Let's be honest: The dev's surveys seem rarely to ask for actual input from the community but come across like stealthy 'hey, we are going to do this, tell us how much we'll missing the spot'.

So, what do you actually want to see in the game the most.

(Game Health, q times and general bug and glitch fixes aren't listed, because we all know those make the top of many priority list...)

Better rewards: As of now pretty much all you get for playing are BP, nothing else. There's the rift, sure, but it's not really a reward for good or interesting playing, just for playing a lot. Achievements don't even wield anything ingame. So, how about getting unique cosmetics or charms for achievements? Shards and even cells for tricky tasks (like the Power move (i think) achievement)?

Dynamic Gameplay: Some killers call for stealth instead of chases, yet no matter whom you face as survivor, aside from a few unique BP events there is nothing to encourage changing up your tactics. Should point events and maybe even maps therefore be more dynamic and adjust slightly to the killer? Denser grass for trapper and hag, more drop points for Deathslinger etc

New modes: Be it 2:8, be it a pure stealth mode (yeah, kinda do think the F13 game) or something else, would you like a mode that isn't the current 1:4 mode? Or get complete new objectives in general?

Something else: Does something else make the top of your wishlist?

new modes cuz I want to have fun in game
