Feels like the perk steps on Thrill of the Hunt and Retribution's toes too much; they're supposed to be the dedicated defense hexes. Undying is a totem respawn hex it shouldn't be anything more.18 comments 231 views last activity

For a long time, I thought that balanced landing was too niche and map specific to be useful. I only used it for challenges and pretty much nothing else. Until I realized I was looking at the perk completely wrong. Balanced Landing isn't meant to be used as a single exhaustion perk it's meant to be used as a secondary exhaustion perk. Running Dead Hard with Balanced Landing means I can actively3 comments 61 views last activity

Everyone has their favorite perks that aren't really part of the meta. So what's your perk that you really like that most people overlook? Mine's Blood Pact for Survivor and Mindbreaker for Killer.38 comments 501 views last activity

From Felix's Backstory: "With time their efforts dwindled, and the five friends slowly grew apart, each going their separate ways." From Élodie's Backstory: "The Pariahs were long gone. Standard Build- Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/BBQ Variation Build- Ruin/Undying/Surge/BBQ (Killers that down with an M1 only) This build is overkill most of the time with mediocre Survivors. But in the case you encounter some actually skilled players, this is what will give you a chance at winning on Killer.52 comments 1,681 views last activity

The twins are probably the most ambitious Killer we’ve had released to date. They’re full of unique mechanics and were probably a total pain to add into the game. I bet they took twice the development time of most of the other Killers and the Devs are still working on them right now desperately trying to get them ready as soon as possible. So in the sea of hate posts about the twins, I want to12 comments 191 views last activity

Using a Killer’s power should reset bloodlust. Doesn’t matter what it is. Pressing M2 should reset it. This change would effectively remove bloodlust on Killers that shouldn’t need it. But it would keep the mechanic around for the couple Killers that are weak enough to rely on it because they get in scenarios where they have to M1 because their power won’t help them (Wraith, Myers, Legion, Trap3 comments 132 views last activity

Sometimes it’s strategic to prevent the Survivor from moving to different tiles. If you catch someone right near a hooked survivor or generator that you want to keep an eye on, sometimes its better to go around and around on a relatively safe loop and catch them with bloodlust. Because if you break the pallet and continue the chase away from the area, you lose potential map pressure. It’s als19 comments 401 views last activity

Base generator regression is extremely slow, so realistically it’s not worth it to even kick generators without a perk like maybe Pop or Overcharge. I don’t think that generators auto-regressing at normal speed would even be problematic. Ruin could have its tiers be reworked to regress generators by 150/175/200% and people would still probably run it a lot because the regression is significantl5 comments 51 views last activity

DBD is a multiplayer game where your performance is based solely on yourself. If you have a tough match on Killer but you play reasonably well and get a decent amount of hooks, you'll still get a high amount of bloodpoints and brutal/ruthless even if one, two or even three Survivors escape. You don't have to get a 4k every game you just have to play well to rank up and score points (lots of hoo1 comments 41 views last activity

As a Rank 1 Killer player, I believe that removing bloodlust will help the overall health of the Killer roster. In my personal experience, stronger Killers like Spirit, Pyramid Head, Deathslinger, Freddy and Huntress rarely ever get in scenarios where bloodlust is needed to secure kills because their powers are strong enough that they usually come into play during chase. While weaker Killers,31 comments 2,952 views last activity

Resurgence You've lost many people in your life and refuse to lose more. While you are within 16 meters of any Survivor(s), Resurgence activates. Survivors in the Dying State within range of Resurgence recover 10/20/30% faster and gain the ability to fully recover from the Dying State . "I won't lose you again! Come and Get It Healing the Obsession activates the perk. Being downed or taking damage from the perk de-activates the perk. The next time the Obsession takes a hit. The damage they would have taken is transferred to the perk user instead. Upon activation, the Survivor’s Aura is revealed for 5/4/3 seconds. “Back off my friend. You want it? Come and get it!”4 comments 61 views last activity

Disclaimer- Deathslinger is not fun to play against in the slightest as a Survivor. We all know this. This discussion isn't a complaining thread about how "boring" he is. Deathslinger is addictive and really draws in Killer players with his mechanics as you learn him. There's this constant positive feedback loop with playing him. When you hit shots, its extremely satisfying. And when you miss9 comments 491 views last activity

What if the stacks of Huntress Lullaby remained when the totem was cleansed? The Hex Totem would be what allowed the Killer to gain stacks and once it was cleansed the stacks wouldn't be able to increase anymore. Lullaby isn't one of the crazy strong hex perks and this would finally give the perk a niche to be used over things like Ruin and Devour. I think it could be pretty balanced because th2 comments 41 views last activity

Felix, Blight and Elodie are all playable characters directly tied by the game's lore to Dyer Island. It's probably the most lore based location in all of Dead By Daylight. Dyer Island was a former prison camp, contains Talbot Grimes secret laboratory, is owned by a secret society (The Imperriati, which Felix and Elodie's parents were part of) and was undergoing a renovation with new buildings13 comments 331 views last activity

Lets face it. Scratch mark perks have always been bad. Dance with Me needs tons of setup and other perks to be effective. You pretty much have to make your entire build around it. Lightweight, Poised and Distortion all hide scratch marks but they're super inconsistent, so its hard to have control over whether they come into play or not. Deception is different. If you get downed on a pallet, Flip Flop can allow you to be picked up with automatic wiggle progress and use Power Struggle to escape the Killer. So if another Survivor is nearby and the Killer has to slug because they're suspicious of someone going for the pallet save. Leaving them on the floor can allow them to pallet save themselves.10 comments 412 views last activity

It’s a pretty plain, boring looking charm. As a Killer, I wonder if Survivors even notice I’m using it in the first place. The fancy glowing charms from completing level 70 of the Rift are certainly more eye catching8 comments 181 views last activity

I don’t understand why generator speed is only balanced by regression perks. If the base gen repair speed was slower and all the regression perks got nerfed, I feel like that would be healthier for the game. A more diverse set of Killers could be viable, a more diverse set of perks could be played and Killers could afford to commit to long chases instead of constantly having to leave Survivors11 comments 291 views last activity

Survivors insult my intelligence on a daily basis. The dumb tech, the window tech, the maybe he didn't see me on BBQ so I'm gonna crouch in place and turn invisible tech. Doing tome challenges at Rank 1 made me realize something: altruistic playstyles are the most risky and the least likely to help you as an individual escape. In general, the easiest way to farm points and escape is slamming gens, totems and taking chases. Saving is only really optimal if you're the closest person or your team is in a scenario where you HAVE to save because everyone else is oc8 comments 181 views last activity

As a Rank 1 Killer, the only perks that really determine the outcome of a game are gen slowdown and gen tracking perks. Perks like Enduring, Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, Bamboozle, I’m All Ears, Monitor and Abuse, Nurse’s Calling, Infectious Fright and even Sloppy Butcher just don’t pay off. It kind of sucks that Killers have to be on top of gens and devoting most of their perk slots to them13 comments 341 views last activity

Pyramid Head counters the most annoying mechanic in the game for Survivors: predictably dropping strong pallets early because there's no mindgame the Killer has to break them. Its extremely nice to punish Survivors that you can read like a book because 90% of Killers can't and have to let them get away with playing like bots and being rewarded for it.0 comments 31 views last activity

Surge stacks with Ruin now so the two perks have great synergy on Killers that down with M1 attacks. -8% gen progress with almost every down with Ruin's 200% regression really puts an exclamation point on the sentence when you're interrupting generators. Plus, Surge sticks around all game no matter what so you still have something to work with if you lose Ruin. Personally, I've noticed that the34 comments 2,981 views last activity

I don't understand why Legion is slow enough that its impossible to catch up to Survivors highlighted with your power that hold W the entire time even with full duration add-ons. I spent a lot of today watching different Fog Whisperers trying to get a Dwightcrow code and finally got one! Here are my tips for getting one for yourself: Work your way down the Fog Whisper list to find a smaller streamer that has less competition. I have double monitors. I play on PC. I just can't type codes fast enough. I think most PC gamers are like top 10% of people at typing. And I'm just too average to be one of the first ten. It's too competitive and I think the Devs underestimated how steep the competition would be for these Dwight Scarecrows. That 4% luck buff to Slippery Meat made it combo really well with Up the Ante even outside of a coordinated SWF. I get kobes extremely reliably running the two perks together. Is it overpowered? Not really because you're using two perk slots for something one perk slot can potentially do. But its really fun and if you're the first perk hooked it doesn't matter11 comments 2,261 views last activity

Nerf: Deathslinger has a 1 second cooldown on scoping and there's a noise notification when he scopes. Buff: Deathslinger exposes Survivors if he hits shots from 15m or over. Basically Iridescent Coin Base Kit. You get rewarded for hitting crazy shots. You give Survivors more warning and get punished for trying to "zone" Survivors with your power.1 comments 61 views last activity

I'm gonna preface this by saying that I'm a really good Killer. I hit Rank 1 on Killer within the first few days of rank reset every month and the vast majority of my matches are 4ks or 3ks with hatch. But honestly, I don't have as much fun with the role. On Killer, I feel like matches are largely predictable because the Survivors are all the exact same mechanically. So they all tend to run to11 comments 121 views last activity

Now that Mindbreaker is in effect the whole game and doesn't stop at 50% gen progress, it's really a solid perk. If you use your exhaustion perk and the Killer leaves you, you won't recover exhaustion while working on generators. And if you're greeding for a gen and leaving at the last possible second, you won't have your exhaustion perk to bail you out. It's very nice what more can I say?31 comments 541 views last activity

I think the base generator speed should be tuned individually to each Killer. For example, Killers like Spirit, Freddy and Nurse should have default faster gen speeds. And Killers like Trapper, Wraith and Clown should have slower default gen speeds. With the current balance, some Killers need TONS of gen regression perks to even function. And others don’t even need to bother and can usually h2 comments 41 views last activity

Recovering while downed gives Survival bloodpoints in the new Mid-Chapter patch. That category has been notoriously hard to max out up until this point, but with this change Survival bloodpoints become more in line with the other point categories. Be prepared for average Survivor bloodpoint scores to go up by 500-1000 points every game.4 comments 121 views last activity

Added a sound cue that activates whenever Deathslinger scopes in. Shot projectile speed decreased by 25%. Base Reload time increased by 25%. Basically, his weapon just needs to be more telegraphed like Huntress and Pyramid Head. Survivors will hate him significantly less if there’s more opportunity to react to his shots.3 comments 61 views last activity

If a Survivor is very aware that you're chasing them and has their route planned ahead of time, even getting the first hit can be a pain. Survivors really thrive when they're in control of the chase and where the loops are happening. In contrast, when Survivors don't run early and haven't planned their routes, often times you can get free hits or even downs. Most of the time, if a chase seems r19 comments 2,041 views last activity

It seems like most Killers don’t like good old fashioned looping anymore. They’ll leave you at the drop of a hat if you’re playing good and camp you like crazy if they can tell you’re playing bad. Killers with anti-loop spam that stuff so hard it’s like they’re allergic to looping normally. I roll up to every game with Detective’s Hunch and Inner Strength. And you’d better believe I end up cleansing every single totem by the end of the game. I almost feel bad for Killers that run hexes against me because they’re just giving me more points and my build more value. Most people think Ruin/Undying is crazy overpowered... I just think it’s extra bloodpoints lol28 comments 651 views last activity

Over the past week, I’ve had the revelation that running the long wall of the shack is really good. Especially, when you see the Killer vaulting the window. It can really widen the distance and give multiple extra loops. And if the Killer reads you wrong you can easily make nearby tiles because the Killer is slow to tell that you left shack because taking the long way around temporarily blocks t0 comments 61 views last activity
