  • What questionable act have you committed in the name of getting an archive challenge done? I'll go first. I had the Escape as the Obsession challenge and after having failed in 4 or 5 attempts I was getting exasperated. When I finally got it there was a survivor on the hook and I was not the obsession. Injured Felix came to me and I used For the People (which made me the obsession) on him and

  • The Shrine of Secrets is an awful mechanic for a few reasons. It only ever features 4 perks. It usually only refreshes once per week. It has a pool of ~177 perks and this pool is always growing. Perks from free characters like Jake still appear in the Shrine to water down the pool. Perks from licensed chapters do not appear in the Shrine in the year after its release. Its functionality for

  • Give survivors a bribe to hang around. I think this could especially help SoloQs. I am envisioning something along these lines: In first stage survivors should get 25 bloodpoints per second in the survival category just to hang there. Hanging in there and not trying to kobe is the best thing a survivor can do for their team most of the time. If they hang the full minute, that'd be an easy

Hanging in there and not trying to kobe is the best thing a survivor can do for their team most of the time. If they hang the full minute, that'd be an easy 1,500 points. Struggling on the hook should be 400 points per skill check. (2,4

  • People are wondering why survivors are giving on hook or disconnecting every other game of DbD and it's because it's empty and unrewarding most of the time. To play out a game only to sigh at the pittance of bloodpoints they get on the tally screen. Especially with the grind being worse. I don't think matchmaking incentives will help much. It happens far too often that a survivor can try as h

  • Dead by Daylight is a game of RNG in many aspects. What map you get sent to, what tiles generate and their proximity to other loops, where hooks generate, where the basement is, whether that swing at the window vault will hit and I'm sure there are more. The RNG aspect I want to focus on is where the survivors and the killer spawn. Scenario 1: Killer spawns in one corner of the map and all 4 s

  • BHVR's changes to the game are addressing camping the wrong way. Before 6.1.0 we had the carrot: Barbecue & Chili. This perk used to be the best perk in the game for both killers and survivors. The bloodpoint bonus ensured many killers used it and the information it gave often gave killers a target far from the hook to pursue. It also gave killers a stack counter so they would know how

  • No one except BHVR knows for sure. I hope they give us more data soon, but I am used to having BHVR shatter my hopes. The last time that I can find where the devs released comprehensive data used data from December 16, 2021 to January 16, 2022. That data did show the Nurse to have the lowest kill rate. Patch 5.5.0 dropped on January 25, 2022 and brought many changes to Nurse, listed here:

  • How does DbD decide what is a hook grab and what isn't? What role does latency play? I have extremely good internet and when matched with the West Coast server my ping is 50 or less. Whenever I go for a hook grab as killer I almost never get it the survivor almost always cancels the unhook and I get a normal attack. As survivor I get grabbed going for a hook save more than I'd like to admit.

  • Shelter Woods is a boring and flat map so here is a small suggestion to improve it. Turn the tree into a treehouse! Just a small treehouse that still fits in the same footprint so the map doesn't need to be overhauled. A structure with about the same strength as the Blood Lodge and a place that Balanced Landing users could enjoy.

  • Currently Thanatophobia, Hex: Pentimento, Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain and Dying Light all stack their penalties together to create truly absurd action penalties. I'm not exactly sure on the math but it looks like the these penalties can be stacked together to reduce survivors effective action speed to -50% or worse. If a survivor can only work on a gen at 50% effectiveness then that gen is going

  • I believe Pharmacy was changed because it is one of the least used perks and it was your intent to buff it to increase its usage. You made it possible to get more than 1 med-kit but overall 6.1.0 is a hard nerf to the perk. Between searching for a chest while injured, opening the chest (if it hasn't been open by someone else already), picking up and using the med-kit, it is highly debatable if

  • Thanatophobia : Making the additional 12% regression contingent on all 4 survivors being unhealthy destroys this perk. It is incredibly easy for survivors to notice the Killer has Thanatophobia and keep one member of the team healthy and keep the penalty at 6% which is laughably pathetic. Not even Legions or Plagues should run this perk. Mettle of Man : You destroyed what little value it had

  • Do this first: Make any attack where she uses 2 or more blinks count as a special attack. Make her maximum teleport speed constant regardless of addons. Make it so if she blinks through a falling pallet she gets pallet stunned. Make it so that if she gets hit with a pallet during her fatigue she gets pallet stunned. Making Nurse vulnerable to pallets would make survivors at least feel not

  • The button on the left takes the player to a level 1 through 50 set of bloodwebs, same as we get now. If players want to gain a level of Prestige as cheaply as possible, this is the option for them. The button on the right takes the player to a set of 40 level 50 webs. Clearly the more expensive option, but if a player is looking for better items, addo

  • Eruption incapacitates a survivor for 25 (used to be 16) seconds working on a generator previously kicked by the killer when they get a down. Eruption disproportionately affects SoloQs while being easily countered by a SWF on comms. If a SoloQ is working on a gen they have no way to know if a survivor is going down to counter the incapacitated effect, even running perks like Empathy or Bond don

  • I believe so. Many of the oldest maps in DbD feature rotation of their main buildings and shacks which provides a much more varied gameplay in their procedural generations. In addition, they featured better variations on certain loop generations. (eg: If this window is closed than that window is open and vice versa.) These maps generally don't feature any really nasty uncounterable loops (at l

  • Imagine if a survivor could shout "Hey!" and be heard over a 20 metre range. This would be a great buff to survivors in general but especially to the solo survivor. It could be used to get another survivor's attention to get a heal, get help on a gen or alert them to a good item in a chest. To prevent this from being annoying it should not be useable in the killer's terror radius and have a

  • Due to the category caps being raised from 8k to 10k some changes are needed to Score Events to make 10k possible in some categories and easier to cap out and encourage survivors to stay in games with unfavorable odds. Survivor: Any Great Skill Check of any type should reward 300 points. Objectives: Completing a generator solo should award more points; 1500 or more. Prove Thyself s

  • Due to the C shape, I dub it the Cancer Tile . This is now easily the strongest tile in the game, possibly stronger than the Shack. This is the worst long wall design possible, as there is no short side and it is an easy fast vault every time. A survivor could easily loop the C wall alone 3 times to waste a significant amount of the killer's tim

  • People and players respond to incentives and disincentives. How do you want players to play DbD? Do you want players to have fun? Do you want killers to camp and tunnel more? Killers will camp and tunnel more after 6.1.0 because of the BBQ changes because the incentive to hook every player at least once is gone, as well as the stack counter. There is a very minor and easily avoided Chaser Em

  • I've been experiencing horrible rubberbanding since at least 5.7.0 and it is still in the game. I'm talking about the rubberbanding that makes you stutter in place for a fraction of a second and it happens to me both as killer or survivor. ZubatLEL uninstalled the game over this exact issue. These stutters are awful and happen to me almost every game, often multiple times per game and so

  • No, I'm not asking for the BP bonus just a base kit indicator so a killer can know if they how many unique survivors they have hooked. It could be built into the hook counter: In this example 3 survivors have been hooked twice and 1 not at all. I think this would be a nice QoL improvement because it would let me know at a glance that I have yet to hook

  • I knew it wasn't going to be a cosmetic from the get go, so I never hoped for anything like that. The article only said we'd get "a distinct reward" but the most recent dev stream said we'd get something worth "bragging" about. If you can't show it in game to other players you can't brag, so I never even thought of portraits. Here is an illustration of what I thought we'd get:
