It is still normal gameplay distracting the killer is still a method of gameplay which boil over users are doing yes that area sucks and I say yes let them bleed out but saying it is bannable isn't true
Distracting the killer is looping tiles, attempting to draw them to you by making noise, or using perks like diversion. Not running to a corner where you’re guaranteed to wiggle out, that isn’t normal or intended.

a 4th Japanese killer, though?
Also, if she was Japanese, it'd be written 'Imai Adriana', I think. Adriana is a very obvious given name.
That is true but I wouldn’t be surprised if they written it as Adriana Imai on purpose. They did it with Yunjin in the trailer for all kill.

What? The boil over tactic or the forced bleed out answer?
The boil over tactic. Using it is pretty much not participating in normal gameplay which is bannable.

Adriana Imai, I think it says.
An unredeemable female killer?? With shoes???
Imai is a last name from Japanese origin. If that is the new killer’s last name then it’s a possibility they’ll be a killer based on folklore from Japan.
(It could also be the survivor’s name as well but you never know)

Counterpoint though. Why in a horror simulator based game with iconic horror villians do they all have to stand behind the survivor for 5-10 seconds just waiting for them to use it or take the risk getting outplayed by the E key? Just had a game yesterday where a wesker was right behind me. And he just ran behind me for 10 seconds waiting for this schrodinger's dead hard. Didn't even have the perk. But everyones gotta think you do even if you haven't shown it yet. Is that what we really want for a game like this?
You answered your own question by stating the fact that it’s a game.

Perk is overpowered. Every time I have to abandon chase because the survivor is abusing a disgusting setup, they always have Windows. It never fails. The perk turns even the most mediocre players into serviceable loopers and stops them from ever running to a dead zone.
Windows isn’t overpowered map RNG just sucks.
-
Doing things like that should be bannable.

Play a different killer?

That's what happens in basically every game.
People gravitate towards the 'pretty' characters/races - be it Feng here or the Blood Elves in World of Warcraft. Less people are going to idealize Jane or a rotting corpse (Forsaken).
It sort of just is what it is.
@Piruluk is putting it inelegantly, but I think they're trying to say that at the end of the day, people generally want to play their idealized character - be it a character they can identify with as an idealized version of themselves, or an idealized version of a partner.
You may view that as problematic, but...it's never going to change. Because that's just how people's brains work from an evolutionary perspective.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3336534#Comment_3336534
What did I just read?
...Weird indeed.
(For the record, that's not what fetishization means).

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3337054#Comment_3337054
Sure...but here's the thing.
You sort of have to cater to what people want. And, while yes I'm sure black folks playing DbD would like more characters to identify with, I'm not sure what the proportional breakdown of people playing this game looks like by race - but I'd guess it's predominantly White, then Asian.
This is probably why you see mostly White and Asian characters. It's also why you predominantly see Black characters in Kenyan media and Asian characters in Japanese media. It's not good or bad...it's just how things work, I guess.
You also have Claudette, a character that's not only extremely popular and has a good amount of cosmetics, her pigmentation actually grants her a substantial in-game advantage.
Hence the term 'Blendette'.
Elodie, Tapp and Adam also have some great cosmetics.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3337078#Comment_3337078
Yes - but Feng fits a certain 'waifu' archetype that people are just going to gravitate to.
Meg is the 'girl next door' archetype - also popular.
Nea is the 'bad girl', so also quite popular.
Mikaela - kooky 'hot girl in nerd glasses'.
That all said - I see a ton of Elodie.
I don't find it problematic. My issue is with the way people treat Haddie because they think she's ugly or because they don't gravitate towards her. I don't like Haddie that much either but bashing her simply for being the way she is is unnecessary. Also what the is a 'pretty race'?

It has nothing to do with going outside, lmao. We are just giving our opinions since the OP mentioned that Haddie isn't played much and thought it was because of cosmetics. No, it's because she's ugly. Just being truthful. No number of cosmetics will make her popular.
I have a feeling you only read part of what I said.
-
@Piruluk said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3336475#Comment_3336475
Yeah, for example Vittorio is handsome, thats why he got lot more popular than Haddie.
I don't what's BHVR obsession with ugly females.
I mean you can add those, and get praise, but in the end won't ever sell
BHVR doesn’t have an obsession with “ugly females” the community just has a weird obsession with female characters that have to fall into the beauty standard. I’ve never seen a community that will actively trash a character simply because they don’t find them attractive. Go outside.
-
BHVR could give Feng something as simple as a white t-shirt with skinny jeans and they'd still make bank off of it.

Absolutely not, reforming the safety pip standards and lowering requirements I am on board with, removing depips would be like removing the dc penalty people killing themselves on first hook would go through the roof.
People already kill themselves on hook a lot anyway. Removing depips wouldn’t change that.

Sadly they then probably give him a lullaby like every other small TR Killer....makes no sense to give a Killer a small TR but give them a 40m lullaby that basically negates the TR size
Giving a trapper a lullaby makes no sense lorewise and powerwise. You don’t see hag or myers running around with a 40 meter lullaby just because they have small terror radiuses.

@Ithiria said:
Honestly? Just tunnel and facecamp in that situation. Practice your power/looping skills.
They'll either throw the game saving or they'll just slam gens and leave. In either case, your torment will end.
At that point just don’t play killer.

Quality of Life for solo survivors is most definitely the goal of this feature - its still nowhere near the level the information that's obtainable in a SWF, which is partly why I'm emphasising quality of life here, as it's going to feel a lot better.
A group of SWF playing together doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be a crack seal team, they're still limited by their abilities/skill - giving solo players information is going to help for sure (a much needed help!), but it's not going to make them invincible as they still have to figure out what to do with the information presented to them.
As with any change that we make, these are things that we will be monitoring.
Correct me if I’m wrong but does this update mean that the progress bar will FINALLY display an accurate percentage of how much of the generator is done?

Dont think they Won, bcs they are better than you...
They won, bcs at a certain skill level, if both sides are equally as good at the game, dbd is designed for survs to win.
Maps are surv sided, time is on survs side, even RNG is on survs side 99% of the time...
And its always the most subpar players that trashtalk the most...
Even the fact, that playing in an swf with trollbuilds could make you win the game against a META killer build should open everyones eyes on how frekin survsided this game is...
Just because a swf can beat a killer running a meta build doesn’t instantly mean the game is survivor sided. Sometimes, it isn’t the maps fault, or the survivors fault that you lost a match. Sometimes it’s because you played bad and no one seems to be able to admit that in this game.

Fair enough. And I suppose DH needs some kind of extra downside. Guess you'd be more like to stumble if the killer has inflicted 2 nasty wounds on you and more prone to stumble.
A stumble mechanic would be a great way to kill the game!

Large maps cannot be played by non mobile killers without 3 gen tactics. This is what you need to ask to be changed.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't you defending teabagging in other threads? That's the only time I see it intentionally done. The rest of the time it's done to create pressure, chase other nearby survivors, or to secure the 4K (personally I think it's lame to do that but it's not BM and it's up to BHVR to implement a bleed out button at two survivors left; not the player).
If it is being done as a response to teabagging it's 100% justified and, if the Killer is slug camping because of teabagging, I'll just do gens, leave and not even bother to try saving. People reap what they sow in that case.
I don’t see how bringing up stuff from other threads was necessary as you could’ve continued your argument without doing that. Especially since I never said anything was wrong with letting survivors bleed out after bming?

- Obvious _______ is _______.
- Nea is Asian. Vittorio is Mediterranean.
- Asian =/= White unless you're some sort of loopy hotep or BII type.
- Jake is also Asian.
- Characters of darker complexion already have advantages - they can be bloody impossible to find on some maps.
- And yet I see a billion Jills and Leons running around.
- Sex sells =/= White.
- Nea, Jake, Claudette. Both with a ton of outfits.
- There are plenty of nonwhite male characters. Vittorio isn't white. He's Italian - which is closer to Hispanic, in terms of genus.
Italian is an ethnicity, Vittorio is white.
-
Or their favoritism is based on character popularity?

Have you?
Because, again, I watch a lot of streams and play a fair amount of survivor - and aside from tactical slugging (something totally different) I almost never see this unless the survivor is deliberately doing something obnoxious in the first place.
No deliberately being bled out is more common than you think and it’s mostly for the lamest reason.

Like here is another example. Remember in early builds when you almost always got a speed boost after a hit as a survivor? Now it is equally likely you will get no speed boost after a hit. This creates a greater sense of tension because you can't expect the game to work correctly or dependably every game. Does this make it more horror-ish? Does the variation in physics and rules make it more fun for you because it is more like a horror movie where nothing works right for the victems?
Dbd isn’t a horror movie nor should it try to replicate one. The speed boost bug is incredibly annoying and if the killer has Stbfl (which most use) you’ll go down right after you get hit. That isn’t fun or atmospheric.

Right because the casual player with 300 hours is worse than the person who actively goes out of their way to make the game as frustrating and miserable as possible.

3 survivors with hyper focus and a toolbox can fix the generator in 20 seconds, 1 person should briefly distract the killer so that at the beginning of the game you make 3 generation
so a complaint about the 3rd generation is the same as that the killer will stand afk, and after complaining that he does not have 4k

I'll dodge :
- TTVs (gives me performance anxiety)
- Agressive names ('fix hitboxes', 'nurse = no skill', those interesting fellows)
- Full flashlights (I do have Lightborn and Mad Grit and I do know how to counter them, but they're generally gonna be exhausting and I can't be bothered)
- Several high prestige levels (with high for me being 30+). I know it's not equal to skill, but I've got less than 200h on killer and I'm not looking for people with that many hours into the game on one single role. I'll play the game out if there's only one really high prestige, because worst case scenario there are 3 other players.
People with names like ‘Nurse = DC’ or ‘I Hate Spirit’ are the worst people to play with.
