If you need 35 pallets on a map... You should not win

How actually dark it was looks pretty cool, tbh. The generators having lights is way more impactful.
Gens still have lights on them.

TBH, its probably a DDOS attack, some surviviors will DDOS you if they get mad, and feel you winning the chase is "unfair".
The amount of survivors that do, let alone, are capable of doing this is so small,

I think the timer resets every 24 hours. So if you dc’d within that time period then thats probably why your timer is 15 minutes.

It doesn't need a nerf at all. Never got problems with eruption, and for everyone who complain about it: get ######### good. It's a skill issue. It's like pain resonance: oh I know the killer has pain resonance, I don't want my gen to be blocked with dms, so I stop doing the gen, wait for the hook, let the gen pop and continue with it. Eruption is a little different, because in solo q can possibly be lethal but because the communications is absent. I play only with my swf, and we say "I die" like 2 seconds before the killer can hit us and bring us to dying state. So we prevent eruption.
Get good instead of crying for nerfs where aren't needed. And for soloq, I'm sorry, but this game can't be balanced around you all, and you can't cry for a nerf where isn't needed.
Nothing about using eruption and countering it is skillful.

Which does not solve the problem of being trapped in a game that can go anywhere from 20-40+ minutes.
You're right. Truthfully, devs should implement some type of anti-AFK system. Something like survivors getting their aura revealed after not interacting with anything after maybe 3 minutes. A system like that could work and would help. Plus, I'm pretty sure devs added a system that makes the game end automatically after an hour in-game. This also helps a little but they should shorten it to something like 40 minutes. An hour is far too long.
-
It is annoying and rare, but like you said you can report and get those survivors banned assuming you recently encountered people playing like this.

technically you can't entirely, it's just by guessing (like another certain survivor perk of my knowledge), but it can be predicted easily by the movements of the killer or the chased survivor by a couple of specific perks (fogwise and emphaty)
Ah yes so for me to have a chance at not being inflicted with incapacitated for 30 seconds I need to either use a perk that's locked behind a paid content and also RNG based or use a different perk that still not any good because telling whether a survivor is gonna go down through seeing their aura is near impossible.

If 'dragging games out longer than necessary' is your core grounds for complaint, the trick to avoid getting AFK crows while hiding in a locker for 20 minutes has been around forever. Shouldn't that be the top priority?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3310315#Comment_3310315
We'll probably be back to STBFL or PR+DMS. Whatever the new killer meta is.

Thing is Aven - you cannot balance this game around solos.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3310221#Comment_3310221
You see that anyway. If they nerfed Eruption, you'd still see that. Because both sides are free to bring their strongest stuff, so genrush SWFs are only going to get more common, not less.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3310472#Comment_3310472
Don't Kafkatrap.
The counter to Eruption is info perks and a bit of gamesense, or voicecoms.
Survivors have the choice to play solo or play in an SWF. Killers do not have the choice to not face SWFs.
Therefore, it's not fair to balance this game around solos.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3310448#Comment_3310448
Did you watch some of the recent Community Cup games?
Killers camping, slugging, tunneling and running Eruption. On fairly killer sided maps. Against teams that had heavy restrictions on what they could bring.
Killers absolutely didn't 'suck', and still had a very rough time of it.
If 'dragging games out longer than necessary' is your core grounds for complaint, the trick to avoid getting AFK crows while hiding in a locker for 20 minutes has been around forever. Shouldn't that be the top priority?
Yes, same with Eruption dragging out the matches since both can prolong the game for no good reason. Why would their priorities be separate when they both cause the same problems?

Or maybe you are the one that's new or bad... Having problems with that perk it implies that you have difficult to kept busy/hiding fron the killer...
And what if I'm the survivor on a generator with no telling on whether my teammate is gonna go down soon?
-
@Tostapane said:
imagine complaining about a average perk who works only if survivors are bad at looping/hiding from the killer and the killer wasted time kicking a gen instead of being in a chase... seriously with all the perks that killer can use i don't understand all this hatred toward eruption... overrated perk imo
Eruption is far from overrated and can literally cause games to last far longer than necessary. If you think it’s overrated your either new or god awful at the game.

If they keep giving existing killers new chase music, what happens eventually with the original 6 generic themes?
Maybe after some time they’ll have an option to toggle unique ones off and on.

Tunneling is a problem of Unhookers pulling Survivors off too fast, they do this all the time, I take three steps away and they have unhooked. I have no incentive to hunt the unhooker, he has 2 health states and dead hard probably. The unhooked has 1 health state and dead hard probably. bHVR needs to increase safe unhook score event to until healed or 1min to prevent other Survivors farming each other for unhook points and causing tunneling. Let the Killers be big baddies, the problem is with your teammates.
Killers coming back to the hook doesn’t exist I guess.

@Steakdabait said:
wait knight players actually chase you? The knight im against rn has camped his 3 gen from minute 1 for 30 minutes now (im still in the match)
Yes they chase me. And then hit me on hook and nod their head at me after I stun them once.

CoB and Eruption aren't even in need of nerf. Nerfing it would be just going with the casual players wishes once more. This game without gen regression simply isn't functional and even if CoB and Eruption get nerfed people will probably just stack other forms of gen defense.
People already stack other forms of gen defense. Anyways COB and Eruption are in dire need of a change. Two perks shouldn’t be allow players to make games last up to an hour.
-
People love to say “Survivors getting 3 genned is entirely their fault.” as if killers aren’t in control of the match and can set up a 3 gen from the start of the match. Do you guys think for yourselves at all?
-
Yet people still run nurse with 4 slowdowns or facecamp with bubba as if people won’t leave the match.

Then they should do something about the survivors who go in to a match to ruin the killer’s experience by teabagging, flashlight saving, and spamming “gg ez” in endgame chat too.
You're the ruler of 'Whataboutism'.

That sounds like something's dying on your computer. As mentioned above, it could be your gpu. Could be a ram issue. Could mean somethin on your board is crappin out. Your best bet would be to take it in for service.
Either way, don't keep racking up penalties. It will eventually lead to a permaban.
I don't think DC's can lead to a permaban, at most a temporary one.

Refusing to do gens, just to bully the Killer for 2 hours isn't wasting everyone's time? Oh because it's just one player it affects - that makes it okay.

Pretty sure yours is by making that statement. It's not either sides job to care about the other sides fun in the game. If a Killer finds fun in watching survivors bleed out - I say let them. Just like survivors have fun bullying Killers. So unless you want to fix both sides, I don't see there being any issue so long as no one is taking the game hostage.
It’s completely different when the killer is purposely wasting everyone’s time. At least when survivors are “bullying” the killer the game is still progressing and either team has a chance of losing or winning.
They’re not comparable.

Cool.

@SmolBlob said:
Skill issue. Also you have this weird misconception every Nurse/Blight player is super good.
Part of it isn’t a skill issue and OP never said all blights and nurse players are “super good”. If you read the title you’d know they clearly stated if the player was decent at the killer.
-
@Sycamore said:
It's not like the Survivors care about Killer's fun? 4 minutes is not that big of a deal.

So... if i read this right, then suvivors dc/suicide because they don´t get tunneled or camped? But instead have to wait occasionally 25 seconds?
Obviously it’s a combination of all the aspects that make survivor unbearable. Please use your common sense.

I think it’d be more interesting if we had variations for where the hook is.
It looks a bit silly to just have to watch the ceiling whenever it’s an indoor hook. Especially the basement, where you can often see the corpse being dragged up through the ground and then just popping out.
Why always up? Why not down for a change?
Lorewise, going down would probably signify that the survivor is actually escaping instead of being sacrificed because of the hatch being a thing.
-
I’m glad they took it away. It looked weird and they seemed more angry rather than in pain.
-
What? You don’t like hair dynamics being as stiff as boards?

For the sake of not making her even more broken with exposed perks. Her blink attacks should be counted as special attacks. I don’t see the point in defending a mistake like Nurse.

@kisfenkin said:
You queued up, so that's what you are agreeing to. If you don't want to play the full match don't start the game. This is how it works here and I, for one, think the rules should be more strict, not less. I feel that if anyone DCs the negative pip should be removed for everyone. That person should start at a one hour DC timer, then a one day timer, then a one week timer, then a one month timer, and then a one year timer for each offense and it should take 30 days of no DCs to reduce it by only one offense.
If you DC you are wasting other people's time, not just your own. Either stop doing that or go away. Also, if the killer DCing just gave the survivors their 'win' that doesn't account for everything else those survivors needed to do in that match. They could have a daily ritual, a tome challenge, a trophy/achievement that they are working on and had already put some of the work into these things but you selfishly want to leave...
Thank god you don’t work for with the dev team.

When survivors tunnel gens, killers tunnel the first survivor they hooked.
People heard a random killer main say "Survivors like to tunnel gens" and everyone ran with it.

Eyrie is about medium sized, it isn't comparatively that big at all. I'm not sure why so many people think that it is...
I dunno, man. They're just gyms, you can outplay those by mindgaming and at least they require survivors to stay in them to use the pallet, harder to drop-and-run the way connected tiles normally work. I truly do not think Eyrie deserves to be discussed in the same breath as the real monsters of survivor-sided map design.
Eyrie is not medium sized.
