Survivors when they actually have to interact with secondary objectives.
??

I think removing the 8% speed penalty and making it something like survivors can't benefit from the haste status effect or even receive a slight repair penalty would make Wesker more fair and probably the most balanced killer despite his hitbox issues. I'd take anything over that 8%.
-
The reason why tunneling is so effective is because the average survivor that plays this game is utter garbage, even though survivor is incredibly easier than killer.

His laugh is so annoying and his knives are so awful to go against and he's so speedy even with them equipped. I can't say much tho, I love playing as him
This post is almost 3 months old...

I disagree with Hag. The whole reason why she is 110% is because she isn't meant to engage in chase as much as other killers. Her traps should be you're main way of pressuring survivors, not chase.

Skull Merchant isnt as bad as people say, they just aren't combating her well enough
She is as bad as people say. She's literally the 3 gen queen, there's not much to elaborate on.

I remember once a survivor in end chat telling me I used my chainsaw too much. I was “Isn’t that the point?”
Ugh, people really say anything. I remember when someone tried reported me for turning my "invisible hacks" on and off as Freddy before his rework.
-
Most billys I play with just M1. I prefer a blight without speed addons.
-
I know this take can be combated with the amount of unrealistic cosmetics DBD has in the game, but for the sake of immersion, I really wish they don’t add any more celebrities after Nick Cage.

I have not seen anyone talk about that before. Not 1 person. Might be I missed it but I didn't see anyone talk about it at the time.
Having 1 survivor be gay specifically so that people can identify with him is completely fine. Nothing against that. And if someone feels like they need to have all of these flags (I've lost count of how many there are by now, so please forgive me for that) that's fine as well. I really don't mind and I 100% support you in living your life the way you want (as long as you don't break the law). I start to care when this is what the game revolves around. And I'd argue that this is also where the problems would begin.
It doesn't look particularly good when there are 3 LGBTQ+ survivors and 1 straight survivor and only the straight guy escapes. I've been called horrible things in this game over much less (one time I was called racist because I defended my last hook, which happened to be an Adam, haven't repeated that mistake since) and seeing how BHVR went to action in Bubba's case (rightfully so) I really am not too keen of finding out how they'd act on this when the reports start to roll in. The same thing would happen when there is only one LGBTQ+ survivor and they die while everyone else escapes. Sometimes people are just so salty they'll report you for anything.
Again there is nothing wrong with having representation but it should not define the game. And basically that would happen, if we focus on every character's sexual preferences over the actual premise of the game itself.
The game has revolved around the trials the survivors and killers go through since it’s development. You're “worried” about nothing.

Because most of the killers come from the USA? Flags for charms are ok, why can't I have a USA charm?
Most of the killers in DBD come from countries outside of North America. So this comment makes no sense.
-
The only thing this makes me think is that you're trying to stir up unnecessary conflict.
-
DBD has way too many variables to be played in a professional competitive setting, whether it be because of perks, add-ons, offerings, items, and even smaller things like RNG in the map tile system and certain survivors being more advantageous to use than others (in a sense of stealth). Not only that but the current comp community for DBD is stupidly toxic for whatever reason.

clean clothing makes 0 sense in this game
The legion being dressed in bunny cosmetics and the plague having a gumball machine as weapon also don't make sense lore--wise and atmospherically.
-
I've also noticed a lot of patterns and inconsistencies in their cosmetic design. A lot of cosmetics tend to be dirty or muddied for whatever reason, devs seem to be allergic to giving female survivors longer haired head cosmetics let alone proper hair physics, a lot of non linked cosmetics have major clipping issues whereas some linked cosmetics have no clipping issues whatsoever when paired with other cosmetics, and some linked cosmetics being linked for absolutely no reason. (Felix's Suiting Architect outfit being one that comes to mind)
-
I really find the ambience of the game to be engaging and fun. The maps, VFX and SFX, sound and art design and so much more. You guys did a really nice job in those departments.
I'd also think I'd enjoy DBD more with a ranked mode too.
-
Holding W has always been viable and there isn't anything you can really do to fix it without breaking survivor.

Would be great! Too bad indoor maps exist.

All iron will needed was a number change. The exhaustion bit was uncalled for.
Or you know, devs could’ve fixed the fact that it caused some of the noises survivors made to be completely silent.

Ahh yes, the new survivors (gabriel) perks are the perfect example of useless perks, idk what you consider a good perk because if you say that regarding him, just...Lmao
And just like every other survivor perk people claim to be good, they won't be ran by a single person.
The last survivor perk that was actually decent was Reassurance, but I don't even know if I should consider it as a perk since it's a bandaid fix to a big issue.
-
I don't think I need to elaborate on who my favorite is.
But I really dislike Jeff. He's boring and forgettable, if the DBD movie were to feature any of the survivors he'd be least likely to make an appearance for sure, let alone be mentioned.
-
BHVR is a small indie company that's why.
-
This is very heartbreaking. It’s so surreal how a person’s life can be stripped away and nothing can be done about it. Rest in Peace Puppers. ❤️
-
No hate to TCM devs, but I don't think it's enough to be a competitor for dbd. Maybe a close competitor, but not near the level F13 was at.
-
The only thing I can tell you is try not to get hit. Once you're injured you might as well stand still and let her down you.

Remember when this was supposed to be a horror game?
Its more survival action. But regardless, I don't see how adding country flags would make it any less horror-ish than it already is.

Or you can just make a normal punishment for each dc, as in all competitive games. 30 minutes + 30 minutes for each next one.
Especially now, when they want to add bots instead of real players who left the match, literally giving them carte blanche to leave any game for any reason with current penalty
Do you want to ruin the match for 4 other players? Please sit in the lobby for half an hour and think about whether you want to do this next time.
PS. YOUR bad connection also is YOUR problem, if you are going to play ONLINE game, if someone gonna hit me with "but my internet......"
DBD isn't competitive move.
-
I liked the simplicity of killer powers.
-
I think I might lose my mind if we get another surveillance killer after the last two flopped.
-
Effective way to delete half of the survivor playerbase.
-
As long as the new chapter is something we’ve never seen or expected (in a good way) I’ll be glad.
-
Depends on how garbage it is.
If it's like the previous anniversary chapter where overall it was an ok chapter, the game will still be the same. However if its something like legion release where the killer is as unhealthy if not more unhealthy than old legion, than the game will most definitely start to go through some trouble regarding player count.
-
Closing the game...
No but really, this game has really good music, sound, and art design. Probably my favorite out of all the games I've played!
-
At a certain point, it's probably like that because you aren't a good killer.

Imagine complaining about iri tag. Lol
I can probably count on both hands the amount of times I’ve used that addon.
You will hardly ever see it.
You could say the same thing about old iri head. Yet it was still overpowered, complained about, and inevitably nerfed.

@Xernoton said:
It's not killers, it's players in general.
Truthfully it’s more frequent in killers. In the past, it was definitely survivors.

Nobody moved.

Hillbilly, Huntress, Oni, and Doctor. Sometimes Wesker and it is always a 50/50 with Pinhead.

Wouldn't that make survivor que times shyrocket?
Survivor queues won’t skyrocket because someone got the same killer 3 times in a row.

Its literally right there in front of you, you just refuse to see it.
Custom = casual
Queue = Competitive.
MMR is there for a reason so that you can have more balanced and fair matches (in theory) why would you have that in a "casual" game? If it was meant to be a casual "party" game it wouldn't have matchmaking that does that. Do you think Mario party queues you up with people using MMR?
Except BHVR has never came out with a statement stating that custom games are casual and open queue games are competitive. Because they aren't. Ask a new player if they think that open queue games are meant to be competitive. Games with a competitive mode generally have ranks or divisions that separate players based on skill level and also, you know, are capable of distinguished and seen by the players and not hidden from them.

Queuing in DBD is the competitive mode. "Kill your friends" is the casual mode.
I think they should punish DCs "and hook suicides" much much more harshly, as in, eventually you are permabanned if you do it too much. Just like you would any other online game like CS:GO/LoL/DotA etc.
Queuing in dbd isn't the "competitive mode". This game that people somehow think is competitive is so RNG based and inconsistent that its ungodly and is stupidly unfit for competitive play.

You people think every killer that isn't nurse, blight, or spirit is ass.

Well, just to nitpick, the "injured only" vault grabs are the outlier to the other "get caught during any action"-grabs.
For consistency, vault grabs should be performable on healthy survivors.
Great way to make stealth and w-keying even more popular.

Who said I want easy mode? I want to finally see survivors using different perks instead of using the same perks 24/7 such as Dead Hard and CoH. Shits getting really old.
I also wish to verse anything other than the same 6 killers I play against everyday but you don’t see me bitching.
-
In this day and age it should be removed. Same for bloodlust.
-
The meter range on the last perk makes it almost completely useless. Not to mention up to a 50% increased stun duration from playing the game normally?
