Maybe add wiggling fatigue, basekit. When a survivor wiggles off the killer's shoulder they suffer a wiggle speed penalty for 60 seconds or until hooked. Stacks.
Survivors can still go down in corners to buy their team some time, just not an absurd amount of time. Meanwhile the killer can actually hook the final survivor instead of waiting for the 4 minute bleedout.
Why should we penalize survivors for the killer playing poorly?
-
I’m confused. You said engaging in chases is your favorite aspect of the game, but you also want the survivors dead as quick as possible?
-
@Frogsplosion said:
you can have a 4th gen in endgame if we increase the time to repair to 120 seconds from 90.
I don’t agree with adding a 4th gen, but making generators take two minutes by default would kill the game.

They were sweating but they were atrocious at the game is my point. Now imagine if any of them was halfway decent. Why would anyone play a low-tier killer when their odds of running into a sweat squad like this are higher than not?
The chances of you consistently running into a sweat squad like that is lower than your chances of consistently 4K’ing with trapper or pig.

New Survivors need something else to do instead of just M1 simulator.
This is a weird attempt at a counter argument.

Typical of this entitled generation, do a quarter of the work but expect the same pay as the person doing 4 times your output.
How do you even know this person is from this Generation? Sounds like projection.

Funny you say that. It doesn't work no matter how long I took a two month break and still it does it.
Well SWF is SWF. Behavior can't people for playing with their friends without either suffering from a massive decline in players or the death of their nearly decade-lasting game.
-
I'd replace Doctor with Skull Merchant. At least for Doctor he uses his "knowledge" productively. Dull Merchant kills for her own good and uses her dad's manga characters as a way to excuse her ego and bloodlust. Very selfish and execrable of her. (Yes that is her entire lore summed up in a short sentence, subpar writing I know)

Not much you can do besides going next.

We're grooming survivors to be toxic to their own teammates. Rewarding survivors for beingtoxic to other survivors is how we find joy; if we're not slugging, face-camping or hitting you on hook.
So you're actively engaging in bannable behavior?

I think the diversification of top pick perks is a good thing. Plus its not like Killer doesn't have an equivalent (Zanshin Tactics).
That's because Zanshin Tactics isn't as effective in chase compared to WoW. There's a reason why literally no one uses it.

Should be basekit on Trapper and Pig. It's an ok perk in general.
If a perk needs to become basekit on specific killers that's a clearcut sign those killers need buffs.
-
A bit overtuned, either decrease the cooldown percentage in general or make it 6-7 stacks max instead of 8.
-
He's more fun to verse than like a quarter of the roster so.
-
Maybe you're not good.
-
I have a feeling all their perks will be chase and tracking oriented.
-
If behavior were to ever do a chapter where survivors become killers, they would probably choose between Jonah or Yun-Jin. But I'd also be interested in Vittorio becoming a killer, I think the devs would intertwine the artifacts he and his uncle found into his killer power to give us something that is visually appealing, unique, and possibly strong in term of gameplay.

Overtuned = Old Toolboxes
Overpowered = Old BNPS.

It's FOMO because they were available for a while and then are not anymore. That's all it takes.
Well yeah, that's what a battlepass does. It's available for what, 70 days. If you don't get the in-game content you want by then that's somewhat on you.
-
How is this FOMO? When have you ever seen Fortnite or Overwatch put their battlepass skins into the item shop? We're lucky the devs don't follow this pattern.
-
No, I don't want to stay in a match I'm not enjoying.
-
There's over 30 survivors to chose from. Yes it's a dumb rule but it was easily avoidable.
-
I don't find it to be outdated. It provides information that survivors are going to need to last in a chase. It makes sense as to why it's been in the game for so long.
On top of this, removing the red stain will make looping at tall structures pretty much a free hit as a killer and will only give survivors more of a reason to adapt to a w-key playstyle, which is already a huge problem.
-
The only thing she has to offer is that she's our first mixed race rep. Sucks that she's our first though considering how everything else about her is garbage.
-
I don't like the game nor the community. So I wouldn't like it.
-
I may be missing something, but how would getting rid of lobby dodging help with scummy teammates?

"Flicking tech" bro what? Flicks are working exactly as intended currently. It's not a tech, it's an intended feature. Try the following: if you know a Blight likes to flick tight, round a corner and do a wide U turn. I've even managed to flare ArrayGamer (top 3 Lethal Rush hits on Steam) doing this.
For all the other whiny comments on here, Blight is fine. His "techs" are more efficient but require prediction. If he hug techs and you do something he doesn't expect, he's out of position and out of a rush token. The really mean, sweaty Blights use double speed with pure bump logic.
As far as "nerfs", there is only one nerf he really needs: make the pallet break animation not recover tokens, same as fatigue, and do the same for pallet stuns. This is the only reason C33 and Vial are as oppressive as they are.
Now, for addons, remove Hindered from C33, make Alch Ring recover tokens at 200% speed for 5 seconds after a hit, and maybe drop the speedboost from Vial to 5%. There, I fixed Blight.
His "exploits" have plenty of counterplay. Adapt to the killer you're playing instead of crying that it's too hard.
If it's intended than why can they not be done on a controller?

There's not a problem with Adrenaline, I don't see it that often and it's a fun and rewarding perk.
-
Kinda funny how their team name sums up a match against Skull Merchant/
-
They are both capable of everything a PC player can do imo.
The only thing Console and PC are both capable of doing is having severe fame drops for doing simple actions.
For survivor, yeah, they can pretty much do as much as a survivor on PC can, despite being able to uncap FPS and use filters to make their game not stupidly dark and dull in color.
But killer is an entirely different story. Mechanically-demanding killers (with an exception of Huntress) have an intensely lower skillcap on console compared to PC due to limitations of a controller and simply because dbd is a horribly optimized game. Blight, Oni, Wesker and more that I can name are nerfed by default because they aren't console friendly killers whatsoever.
-
Majority of the player base is on console. Which is crazy since BHVR treats the console player base horribly.

Why only killers? lets punish everyone that does it.
Maybe because if a killer has bad ping everyone is directly affected.

@MrPsych said:
Good post. I agree with about all of it. The killer is supposed to be a feared, overpowering foe and yet survivors can lose them just by running circles around a car. You'd see this kind of thing in a comedy, not an horror movie about an omnipotent tentacle monster warping worlds and who organizes trials to see killers massacre survivors because it's soul food to it.
It's a game? You realize people become desensitized to things once they've dealt with it over and over again.

Does it matter which tier? As bloodlust was already nerfed and yesterday i´ve seen a streamer complain about bloodlust, while he ran the killer around for same log for... well to long.
Could it be a possibility that the killer they were versing simply wasn't good?
-
@Tsulan said:
Bloodlust was turned off for a weekend as a test, to see if killers still need it.
Turns out, yes.
And by needing bloodlust you mean tier 1, not 2 and 3. Right?
-
I think demogorgon is very overrated in terms of playing against him. He's just a slinger that can teleport to me.
-
Very good blights are the funnest killers to verse.
-
Real question is why Dwight and Meg don’t have blighted outfits.

Bloodhound is one of the most underrated perks in the whole game. A bright red trail that leads you straight to a survivor's location is better than any other tracking perk in the game.THERE, I SAID IT! LOL
Bloodhound is a horrible tracking perk, underrated for a reason. But it's not as bad as Predator.
-
Yeah I faced huntress a lot, in like 2018.

Bully squads are dead, next.

I mean fair enough but let's hold this same mentality for Garden of Joy map offerings and Made for This yeah?
You and I both know you aren't playing against Garden Of Joy every game, can't say the same about MFT though.

So that survivors have only 2 items to choose from and the other 3 are just bloodweb clutter?

It sucks. I'm sick of Wesker too, but I get why his pick rate is astronomical. They've released one killer that is fun to play and has a high skill cap in the last 5 or 6 chapters.
Knight? Literal AI killer. Skull Merchant? Press button to deploy a drone. Singularity? M1 killer with Fire Up. Dredge? Noob stomper. Sadako? M1 killer.
The devs have, for whatever reason, moved away from making even moderately mechanically demanding killers. Wesker is the one killer they put out in the last year and a half with any real depth.
Wesker doesn't need nerfs. They need to get back to designing killers that are actually fun to play with deep mechanics. This isn't meant as a slight to console players, but it really feels like they are trying to design killer kits solely with an analog stick in mind. No mechanical input is built into these killers beyond basic M1 stuff. It's boring as all get out.
Look at what they did in 2019-2020: Spirit, Plague, Pyramid Head, Blight. Compare those kits to what we're getting now. We've gone from "killer has a ranged attack, carves trails in the ground that inflict a status effect, puts you on a special hook, etc" to "killer deploys a drone by pressing a button and all power effects from then on are passive". Killers are being designed to do so. much. less.
Killers are being designed to do so. much. less.
If anything, killer powers are doing far too much. Look at how bloated Dredge's kit is compared to an older killer like Hag or Huntress. There is so much and possibly even too much going on in the average killers' power these days. And that's probably why it seems like so much people despise playing against newer killers compared to older ones.

Don't know what to tell you.
I'm not having any issues with it.
It's the first meta changing perk for Survivor in a year.
It's fine because just like MoM and CoH it'll be nerfed into oblivion.

Surivors gets injured
entity. heres a free sprint burst and a permanent lesser blood lust
Killer gets looped for 15-30s
Entity here's a speed boost
Surivor REEEE NERF BLOOD LUST ITS AN OUTDATED MECHANIC INFINITS DONT EXIST ANYONE SO WHY KEEP IT
Killer breaks a pallet
Entity you shouldn't of done that "removes bloodlust"
Here's how to rework mft if a surivor vaults a pallet or drops one mft deactivates for 15s see how often it bloodlust is actually used against you
Like someone has said in a previous thread, MFT and Bloodlust are incomparable.

Or, alternatively, gens can pop pretty fast since the gen defense perks got nuked and unless you're playing an A-tier or S-tier Killer it's hard to keep up. It is possible but rather than just disparaging somebody you can acknowledge there are issues.
It's sort of like with solo queue; I can still escape close to half the time but that doesn't mean there aren't issues in solo queue for BHVR to address.
After 20 games of failing to apply consistent pressure on survivors, you might be struggling from a common illness known as skill issue.
-
Is it me or does this Yun-Jin outfit look like something we've seen before, not just on her but on other female survivors as well.
Also I think they should've chosen a different killer other than clown, and choose a male survivor next time.
