  • This game go in the bad direction. So many killers buffs and survs nerfs, so now the only opportunity for survs is to genrush and finish the game in 5 mins.

  • @Clevite said:

So you think killers at high ranks are OP in comparison to high rank Survivors/Swfs?

    What is your complaint?

I think the devs are trying to balance this game. I think these dead zones are going to eventually eliminate bloodlust.

But currently, 4 Survivors that play optimally and with teamwork, completing gennys as the priority have the advantage in this game.

Yes, and the other 99% of games survs are demolished

  • Remove the aura reading part and give it to , or reduce the time to cleanse totems to 10 secs.

  • Can't imagine a reason for nerfing pay to win freddy

Well if solo survivor mains never escape than that means you haven't learn anything yet appearantly.

Cause if you main survivor than you should be able to escape way more often instead of never.

I play both sides, so i main neither side and yet I escape so much.

So personally I would say record your gameplay and watch it back.

Look at the reasons why you died, why you went down.

There's always a reason why anyone goes down especially when it is fast.

Happens to me to and I just analyse my own gameplay on the fly and see what I could have done differently and adapt myself.

I have games where I go down to fast for my own standards and when I identify why that is, the next chase is very very long.

Rank 2, 3000 hours. I know perfectly how to play, and yes, killer is so easy

Are you serious or are you joking?

I always play solo survivor and my escape rate is about 90% and I don't play for escaping but for chases.

So personally I wouldn't say it is almost impossible tbh.

It's just a matter of knowing how to loop en when to use a pallet and when not.

Just a simple example from what I see a lot of survivors do.

The get hit near a pallet and the stop their sprint burst they get from the hit and drop the pallet.

Instead of doing that, use the sprint burst to gain distance and get to another loop.

It will waist a killers time and if you play it right, they even let you go because they spend to much time 😉

Again, it's just a little example nothing more.

But escaping is very good possible and pretty easy imo

Well, escape rate is 25%, and every one in this killers' forum say that SWF always escape. Also, every killer in this forum always escape because is so easy, so solo survs main never escape

  • Pleas devs, stop nerfing survs, I beg you. It's almost impossible to escape as solo surv.

  • @cluedup_survivor1988 said:

I don't care who you are weather survivor or killer if you body block me on purpose to block pallet use you are getting a report, it's skewed enough towards the killer as it is without them resorting to underhand tactics like that.

    What do you guys think?

Guy, this is a killers' forum, don't you know it?

  • @CountVampyr said:

And now I officially have zero respect for the ranking system. I still very much suck at this game in a lot of areas, mainly looping. But I am pretty good at getting things done under the radar and willing to take one for the team. I definitely think that a lot of my success depended on good teammates as once I reached red ranks the progression from 4 to 1 was pretty rapid. But I still find the occasional red ranker that acts like a newb, sandbagging me, safe unhooks and following me leaving all sorts of trails to my location, etc.

Survs die 75% of games, so devs need to give something so you don't think you have lost. That's why ranking as surv is so easy.

Instead of making this about killers being op let’s talk about something that will actually change the game. I’ll go first.

    How many times you 4k?

  • @Iceyrawr said:

ah the boring argument again, love it.

after major nerfs to pig, legion, nurse, billy, spirit and countless nerfs sure we still need more.

Of course survivors are weaker with 3 second chance perk per person (everyone knows which 3),

just nerf killer, I agree with you.

Spirit+undying+ruin+tinkerer is 4k everygame if you are 5 years old or older.

  • Because dead zones are the opposite of god pallets. And sure you have seen a lot of complaints about them

  • @UncleStabby said:

I've played killer for a while, done so many matches that I can't even begin to remember half of them, and if survivors do escape, the Exit Gate stands in solidarity as a shining beacon of broken that needs to be fixed.

First off, let's talk about the lever. I don't know about you, but I think its a bit unfair that Survivors can get the gate's progression to 99, leave fore twenty years, and then come bag and open it with a tap. This poor design choice makes Blood Warden (The only perk that really punishes gate-teabaggers for their toxicity) all but impossible to use.

Possible Fix: Immediate gate regression upon letting go. You touch that handle, you better be leaving.

Second, we have gate toxicity. Too often have I been matched up with red-ranks with toxic builds (Dead hard, decisive, head on, sprint burst, adrenaline, you get the picture.) who ceaselessly loop the killer shack and other god loops, throw down pallets and then emote spam and teabag if they get the succesful stun. Then they get to the exit gate (most likely after body blocking or something like that), stand right on the cusp of the gate's exit, and teabag because they know theres nothing killers can do about it.

Possible Fix: If you teabag inside the exit gate, you should be blocked from it for a limited amount of time. I think this would cut down on toxicity even just a bit, which is a good thing.

What do you guys think? Does the Exit Gate need a change or two or fifty?

Sure you don’t have problem with facecamper a hooked surv to ensure the kill. 99% the door is a strategy survs can use. If you don’t like it open the door

Which I think is wrong, I don't think the community needs to be split to only killers and only survivors, but that's just my opinion.

in this forum you can find killer mains and killer mains that play surv sometimes, and obviously escape every match

We need stronger killer, especially because this game favor survivors like no other, they basically have free wins, they should be nerfed.

Guy, probably you are new in this game. Killer is easy as hell

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

Unfortunately discussing something that might suggest a killer nerf on the forums is only welcomed by hate. Personally, I agree with you. It's an easy value combo that brings me memories of the old ruin, meaning it's:

    Used every single game

The only way to counter it is by spending valuable time searching and cleansing totems.

this is a killer forum, what do you expect?

  • Pay to win freddy. Why I need to imagine where are his arms? Has anyone see something like that in another game?

Make him taller or reduce the hit range.

  • -Killer is easy as hell

  • Etiquette: if the killer is camping and a surv unhooks you with bt body block and take the hit

  • 1- NEVER cleanse a totem if someone is finishing the last gen in front of it. It can be noed

2- if the killer is chasing you don”t run towards a hooked survivor. I see it so many times and I can”t understand it

  • 3 games today against undying + ruin and infinite tier 3 Myers.

  • @Awakey said:

I don't tunnel because I can't win otherwise, to preface.

    I tunnel for two reasons:

    1. It makes my life a whole lot easier. Why wouldn't I take the easy win?
    2. There are reasons why rage compilations have millions of views. It's kinda fun.

My job isn't to ensure your fun. Frankly, I don't care whether or not you have fun. I did, that's all I care about and that's all I bought the game for. At the very least, I don't complain (nor do I have the right to) about the occasional 4-man SWAT squad all running Soul Guard, DS, BT, and another strong perk.

So many selfish people playing killer

  • And don't you think that new survs have problem with Pop?

  • Killer perks:

Hex silent: While the hex totem is active survs can't hear noises 5m from them.

Hex alone: While the hex totem is active you see the aura of survivors that are together in a 5 meters radio. It has a cooldown of 60 secs.

  • Another surv perk: Hex survivor: While there's an hex totem uncleased you can see the aura of every survivor and you heal/unhook 5% faster

  • Surv perk: Telekinesic: Press active button to see with the eyes of a random surv for 5 secs. It has a cooldown of 60 secs.

  • @Zagrid said:

    1. Its not a problem with the game its a problem with the community. There are too many survivors queuing compared to killers. So telling BHVR to "fix the queue times" it useless.
    2. You want to know why everyone plays survivor compared to killer? Killer is 1000x more stressful and 1000x less fun compared to survivor games. Especially compared to survivor SWF games.
    3. If you don't like long queues go help the problem by playing killer. Or keep playing survivor and t bag every killer at the exit gates. Soon they will swap to survivor too and your queues will keep getting longer.

Survivors wonder why their queues are so long when the match before hand they 4 man escape against a clown with no add ons while using the exact build of Dead hard, DS, Unbreakable, and borrowed time. And rub every second chance in his face, t bagging and pointing along the way.

TLDR. Killer is unfun and stressful so no one plays it. So there are too many survivors for too few killers.

Surv main here in purple-red ranks. 5-10 secs to start a game. Sorry, your theory is not good

This. Too many survivors don't want to adapt. I came back a month ago after not playing since before Plague. I had a bunch of new killers to deal with and got rekt. I didn't cry for nerfs, I went on YT to learn how they play and see how they can be tackled.

Guy, killer is easy as hell. You only need 5 years old, a finger, an eye and good headphones to 4k 99% of games

I always try to give a Survivor the hatch if I thought they played well and weren't being toxic

And I never escape against fair killers. Perhaps one day we”ll play against each other :D

  • Can’t remember last time a killer gave me the hatch. Years ago it was 1/5 games, now probably 1/100

I think killer complain about DS+Unbreakable because whatever the killer do he cant counter the combo.

On the other hand undying+ruin you can still ignore those totem and focus the gen or you can get lucky and disable undying+ruin on the first try.

If you don’t tunnel ds+ub are 2 slots wasted, and if you take the hit is 5 sec stun one time and 2 slots wasted too

First of all I don't think having moris over all is a bad thing, but the ebony mori is really too powerful. Having the ability to kill every survivor right off of the first hook is just too powerful. It make matches boring and stale, and I have come with a solution. Instead of being able to kill all four survivors after their first hook; killers should only be able to kill two survivors off of first hook. If not that isn't good enough you could have the ebony mori kill all the survivors when their on dead hook. Keep in mind that the last solution kind of comes into conflict with Pyramid Head's power so it's viability on Pyramid Head wouldn't be the same as other killers, but when you're using a mori I don't think you're thinking of its viability. This is just my thoughts, I'd like to see what you think.

Don”t play against moris. End of the problem

  • @SaltyRainbow said:

ds may need some tweaks and is too strong in endgame scenarios but anti tunnel mechanic are needed.

played today multiple matches with no obsession and guess what the killers did^^

in the past the pallets/windows were so save, the killer couldnt catch up without BL and window blockers.

they added the last years mostly more unsave loops and BL is not needed to catch survivors there.

BL felt pointless anyways since its last nerf some time ago..

"...ds may need some tweaks and is too strong in endgame scenarios.." And facecamper a hooked guy to ensure the kill is not strong in endgame?

  • I play only surv because I don't want to destroy survs, and I let the killer kill me if he/she plays fair.

  • Make kindred base perk, with nerfs. That's all solos need. It's not so difficult.

  • @rglarson13 said:

This community has a huge problem with camping and tunneling, so much so that there's a lot of insistence that already abusable perks like DS should be buffed (or made base kit) because people seem to think the survivors should be able to "punish" killers who don't play how they want them to play.

But this is ridiculous. Camping is normally a terrible strategy, and usually results in the killer losing. (Also, normally when I see a killer camping it's almost always in response to a particularly toxic survivor.)

Tunneling is basically the opposite problem: it's a wise move that helps the killer win. Tunneling is the killer's version of gen rushing. (Hooking survivors is the killer's objective -- why is there a reason not to do that?) Punishing a killer for playing smart and effectively -- rather than as hosting an entertaining game of tag for the neighborhood kids -- doesn't make much sense. (Sure, I get that it's not fun for the survivor, but being slugged isn't fun, either, and that's what happens when the killer suspects DS might be in play.)

I'd much rather see the game's fun factor get upped in other ways to encourage the more fun parts of the game, rather than facilitate any kind of punishment. Maybe to handle tunneling the killer should be incentivized to chase different survivors, e.g., maybe bloodlust triggers more quickly when chasing survivors who have full health. (Honestly, I don't really mind the concept of DS as base kit, but maybe it should be made more high risk -- the killer is the one who gets a haste effect for a moment -- that would make chases more fun than the current repetitive game of ring-around-the-rosie that they are now.)

Similarly, rather than buff Ruin, which at best just leads to long games with more time spent holding M1, maybe Tinkerer should be base kit for all killers in order to set up more action as the survivors get close to finishing their objective.

Finally, I like where NOED is at -- it makes the EGC actually stressful for me as a survivor, and perks like Inner Strength help make totems a worthwhile secondary objective that resolves the issue.

Camper and tunneling are terrible strategies against SWF, but against solos is 4k 99% of times

  • ######### in the first hook and go on. If eveyone does the same, no killer will use Iri Head

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

Most people who play enough killer would feel they outplayed your team to the last two players, so slugging for the hatch is what they have to do to finish the job.

That being said, as much as you experience it, killers don’t like slugging for the hatch. In their opinion, the hatch may be a broken outdated mechanic that rewards gameplay (yeah just gameplay) whether the team performed well or terribly. They just feel like it’s another annoying obstacle to the game they should actually get the 4K for.

Agree. Same as doors for survs. If we do 5 gens doors should be opened

  • I prefer them to remove aura reading perks or scratch marks. A weekend for killers to finally work for their kills

  • @BioX said:

NoeD is one of the better designed perks man, what are you smoking?

Imagine a surv perk: EED (Everyone escape from dead). If the killer don't hook you before the 5 gens are done you move 4% faster and the killer need 3 hits to put you in the dying state. It's is a good designed perk too?

  • Guy, grow up. Don't you think killer can do the same thing?

  • @xenofon13 said:

Delete the option for friends who wanna play together a game, playing solo is more fun. If it's possible, ban the on comms discord exploiters.

Dead hard, OP: Needs cooldown 250 seconds. (Less times exhausted on the ground) 😉

Borrowed Time: Extremely OP. Make it 1 time use like unbreakable. Can't tunnel properly players out of the game. 😢

DS: The most crutch perk. Disable it when i touch the corn, pointing the Claudette, walk 1 meter, and when closing my eyelid. 😖

Sprint Burst: I'm so close to the survivor and denies me the hit! 99 the sprint burst is also bannable offense!

Only then, the poor killers will find peace. Make it happen devs.

    Other OP survivor perk?

Agree, if the remove campers, sluggers, tunnelers, moris, spirit, freedy, MYC, B&C, Undiying, NOED, bloodlust, ....

  • @Purgatorian said:

The problem I have with this if it does go live is they say they have made it easier to catch up with the looping changes. They did however add some breakable walls that, if not broken, create god loops meaning the killer has to spend precious seconds breaking them. I do understand some of these walls work in the killers favour though.

Also some slower killers need this mechanic, the huntress can be looped for quite a while around cars and obstacles by good survivors. Yes, she has hatchets but the better survivors know the best time and place to duck these and be safe.

With gen speeds being as fast as they are and that being the only real objective, not counting being able to 99 the gates, losing bloodlust will really hurt most of the killers.

The devs are starting to kill this game with their decisions. I really do enjoy it and would like Dead by Daylight to be in a healthy state but the way it is going I will give it a year at maximum.

The survivor mains may love the idea now but if no bloodlust goes fully live there will be an exceptional increase with camping, tunneling, noed and moris.

I honestly think if it does go live all killers should go on strike for a month to show the devs we are getting sick of all the nerfs. They won't listen until we hit them in their wallets and they see the player count drop to an all time low and the game becomes dangerously close to be forced to stop development.

They see killers as a joke now and we have to show them we are sick of their attitude towards us, seeing nerf after nerf, in order to save the game.

So survs must give killers easy kills so they don't campe/tunnel/mori?

  • @SoySensual said:

keep listening to the toxics, devs, let's see how many people play killer tomorrow, if already now to find a match being surv it takes time, tomorrow I'll have fun playing lobby simulator

Now I find a game as surv in 5-10secs

  • @Pipefish said:

NOED is a high risk high reward perk. It can get cleansed right away or single handedly make you come back.

I personally think it's a fair perk and far less oppressive when compared to ruin and undying.

As for the do bones argument, I wouldn't recommend it. Since you'll likely end up doing 4 totems and NOED will jump into the fifth one you can't find.

I hate those survs that cleanse a totem in front of you when you're doing the last gen. Please, don't do it, probably it could be NOED.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I am just not going to play killer this weekend, easy enough. Hopefully others do the same.

Maybe if queue times are so awful no one can get a match they'll take the hint.

Sound like a killer main who always want 4k, probably camper/tunneler. Thx for no playing

  • @Jay_K said:

I think if they ever did decide to remove bloodlust from killers it would cause a lot of lower ranked killers and even medium ranked killers to potentially take a step back from playing. I myself main killer and average anywhere between rank 10 and 7 but im by no means "great" at the game. Bloodlust (for me at least) gives that extra little help when i get ranked against higher skilled players which happens more times than not.

As a lot of others have said instead of bloodlust changes right now (and yes i know its just for the weekend) they need to look into changing the maps to make loops not as infinite in the hands of good players.

On a side note i did have a spitball idea. why not (if the devs truely wanted to remove bloodlust) have bloodlust as a killer addon that killers can equip if they want. it would allow lower skilled/new killers the extra benifits of the buff whilst giving higher skilled killers the challenging gameplay that us lower skilled players can't do.

“gives that extra little help when i get ranked against higher skilled players”. And what happens when you face surv about your skill? How many times you 4k?

  • I Know, but it”s evident they”re lying, or at least they”re afraid to try it

No one can think that devs want 2k average. That”s false. It was almost 3k before undiying
