IMO the pig is ridiculously op.
Most of the killers have 1 or 2 abilities some being more powerful than others. Huntress has 1 pretty bad ability so she rarely gets used in higher levels where as killers like nurse and trapper are still used with their 1 because it is a powerful ability.
So why does the pig have 3 all of which are what i'd consider powerful abilities. The no terror radius thing is hard as it is, but then she also has a charge attack that is nearly impossible to dodge ( i was on the opposite side of a 3 meter loop, she charged at me did a hairpin U turn around it and caught me before i could get to the pallet.) which makes it more powerful than the stalk abilities of ghost/shape because it is like being instantly exposed but you make injured sounds too and only takes a few seconds to charge up. But then on top of all that it can put a trap on your head that takes 2 seconds but sends you into a frenzy running around the map trying to get it off, wasting a few minutes each time and potentially taking you out of the game instantly.
I run around about rank 2 survivor and I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a pig lose to 5 gens, thankfully you don't see a heap of them because it isn't one of the free killers but it almost feels like a P2W thing with how powerful it is.
I even thought maybe its just me and there is someone that is good at dodging the attacks but then I googled it and the only thing i could find was a low rank messing with another low rank.
Do you have faced a good spirit or pay to win Freddy?

Cooldown too high
Power recharge too slow
Useless power
Power bad in loop
Power "cool" for chase
Power useless for saw other survivor because doctor make better

Rework or buff legion's addons
Power useless for saw other survivor because doctor make better. Guy, do you really think he doesn’t have a power to see survs?

So, killer isn't fun. Why do you think that is?
because they read these forums and they feel they need to 4k every game. That's why they think it's stressful. Or do you think is stressful as killer to 2k?
-
It’s not balanced. 20.000 hours swf group is easy, but killers are absolutely more powerful than solos

So, if killers are OP, how come, that killers have instant lobbies while survivors have to wait 10 minutes in a queue?
Wouldn´t people prefer to play the OP role?
Because many people play to have fun. They don’t need to feel powerful in a video game

I kill myself in first hook against iri head, and I'll do it until they rework it. I know I'll depip, so I won't give 3 hooks to the killer

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/215751/swf-are-killing-this-game-prove-me-wrong
The devs have said the goal is two dead & two escape on average per match, across all ranks. Your personal goal as killer might be to get all 4 (perfectly reasonable btw) but overall they're looking for two.
Based on their history of changes, imo they resist doing anything that splits the playerbase, hurts queue times, or 'punishes' a side. So directly nurfing anyone in a SWF is unlikely either. Since more that half of all survs are in at least a two-man that's a lot of players to consider in all the ranks.
I believe we need to keep all of this in mind when making suggestions. To me the method that makes the most sense is to raise the info aspect of solos to something closer to SWF levels, and then balance killers around that. Exactly how to do that is very debatable.
Over the past few weeks I've been teaming up with friends who are quite new to the game and trying to teach them, mainly because the tutorials are ineffective and solo queue is a nightmare. My personal goal has been to get everyone else out, easier said than done just check out recent vods for that.
But it helps to remind me we have to consider all players and ranks together.
This is false, they don't want 2k on average. This is what they said, but it's not true. Every killer have more that 50% of kill rates, so if they wanted 2k they need to nerf every killer, including clown. do you think they'll do it?
-
And you forgot these 3 meters arms
-
spirit is ultra easy 4k, so the best counter is ######### in first hook. You’re going to depip anyway and she will depip. That’s the only counter
-
Kill rate was 65-70%. Without moris and with undying probably is 70-75%, so they”ll nerf it. Sorry

That's because there are 8 of these in the survivors team, not 2, and they are not used to anti tunnel purposes, they are used offensively and have no counterplay. And you know what is the counterplay for NOED right? Do bones
And the counter play to ds is hit again

Ruin+ Undying can be extremely good, but if one survivor is deliberately looking for totens It won't last long. And NOED is a trash perk, that only hinders good killers by playing with 3 perks the whole game and maybe got 2 downs after the gens are completed, I still don't understand why people think it is OP or whatever
Wel, if you tunnel someone an take the ds stun, ds and ub are 2 wasted perks during the game. Same if you don’t tunnel. And every killer think they’re op
-
@Phasmamain said:
Imo this game is balanced rn. Sure some perks and add ons are too strong but maps are pretty balanced and all killers are viable in read ranks
Yes, all killers are viable at red ranks. That’s why many killers are overpowered like pay to win Freddy or spirit

I feel ultra powerful when premades Tbags at the door :)
DS, Borrow, UB... The Game has a lot of perks to avoid Tunneling.
Try to join private Game with friends, and just Chase 1 of them dropping all the palets, the rest Rush gens and see how gens fly and they still having palets to drop
The problem is not tunnel, the problem is that survivors reach red ranks holding M1 and taking points loosing chases, and they think they are good and Killers are OP because they are red ranks and a purple killer Smash them.
The problem is killers are so overpowered survs barely escape, so devs need to rank up survs so they could think they won something. No one wants to ply a game when 75% of times you lost

yeah i dont think you understand what im saying, and i go as far to even say you also newer to the game or just stuck in lower ranks. the difference between killer and survivors start to show when survivors know how to use their advantages and abuse them, not to mention the addition of gameplay mechanics that punish killers for doing their objective. yes asymmetrical means the the killer is 4 times as strong as the survivors but this isnt fully the case with DBD, survivors have plenty at their disposal to use against the killer and with perks that offer even more opportunity while the killer only has their power and the basic attack which can be buffed by perks. this is ok so far but alot of these systems get abused by survivors who know how to play the game (figuratively and literally). and saying the game is over when its a 1v3 is also false. i dont know what rank you are or how experienced you are but i can get an idea by what your saying
And I can imagine your skill as killer too

I think Spine Chill needs looking at. Like a cooldown on the detection or something. It's an incredibly overtuned perk that gives WAY too much value in way too many situations. It's run by so many people these days, it makes stealth killers just a chore to play.
There are other, less strong perks that have way more downsides than Spine Chill does. Give it a cooldown, like Small Game, but a bit longer.
I used to play with spine chill. Now I play With dead hard and I won’t play with it anymore. Do you really think nerfing no meta perks will help killers?
-
That’s because killer is easy as hell. But in this forum full of killer mains they want to easily 4k with a rank 10 trapper against a 4swf squad with 5.000 hours each
-
because selfish people always play killer because they need to feel powerful
-
Nah, killer is easy as hell. Escape rate was 25-30% before undying and map reworks, and that includes swf. But you read these forums where 90% are killers main and they want 4k every game

Vacuum pallets were not okay. Do I need to pull up clips? I started playing right before they were removed and let me tell you, I am glad they are gone.
Toolboxes are still very good. You just cannot do an ENTIRE gen faster, now you have to be intelligent about how you use them.
Self-Care has always been useless, or at least, it has always promoted poor gameplay.
If Survivors are entirely focused on gens, the Killer will usually lose. Heck, if the Killer and Survivors play casually, the Killer will lose. Gens go very quickly at Red Ranks. Have fun trying to pressure 4 people off of gens when you still have Cow Tree Loop into Shack into Jungle Gym.
The game isn't balanced towards Killer, if you are having trouble as Survivor, that's on you. I am a Red Rank Survivor (though I should probably be in Purple Ranks) and I have zero problem winning solo because I know my job. If I can get even half of a gen done for every hook, we win by a landslide.
Congrats. Escape rate is 25%, so when you play no one else escape. I know, all potatoes of course. Only killers are semi gods survs

I'm not really a fan of either but by all means turn ds/unbreakable into hex perks :P
Yes, and create a perk when at the egc the killer needs to hit you 3 times to put you in the dying state and you move 4% faster.
-
So the game is survivor sided and killer only can win (4k) against bad survivors. Of course every killer that write here have at least 3k on average and they always escape as surv, but survivors mains are all potatoes
-
@Blueberry said:
It isn't becoming survivor sided, it always has been. This is agreed upon by almost all the high rank/high hour community.
Is the game less survivor sided than it used to be? Of course
Does that mean it's balanced now? Definitely not.
Killers can look stronger because the average survivor is really bad. However if we had a match of equal skill really good survivors against a really good killer, the killer will lose almost every time bar some off scenarios such as playing Nurse etc.
He won’t lose. He won’t 4k but probably 2k. The problem of killers is they think win is only 4k

How? Just How? I see this posted a lot (Mostly by surv mains or "totally rank 1 killer main who thinks unbreakable and DS is a good combo") yet I've never seen anyone actually say why. The best reason ive seen is " X killer/killer perk is OP" or "I had this one game where this bubba camped the whole time" The second one being what seems to be most common as the reason why. From what I can tell the reason killers are "the most powerful they've ever been" is because sometimes people are mean and can abuse the broken balance on their power (Ex. Bubba camps or Pyramid tunnels) and that ALL killers are powerful. How? Just cause some killers CAN do well in very specific situations doesnt mean ALL killers are powerful. If you look at it from an overall viewpoint killers are incredibly weak. If your team is even somewhat competent you should easily get all gens done with minimum casualties especially if your doing a 4-Man. (which is more then likely). It takes about 40-50 secs for a gen to be done with more then 1 person on it and it takes no more then 30 to do a basic chase with someone who has a mid tier skill level. By the end of one chase a gen will be about 60-75% done by the time you hook and 85% done by the time you get to the gen (this all depends on location but it will also be above 40% done) lets say you get pop and kick the gen. Then it goes down 25% and thats all. Not bad right? Well thats about 15 secs of survivor work and about 7 secs with more then one and you can only do that about 12 times over the course of 5 gens so good luck getting any results. Most killer perks are starting to feel like a Placebo effect. "I should take pop because its a gen slowdown that must mean its real useful I mean it does 25% damage on a gen" then you use it and it becomes a waste of a slot due to easy counter of literally doing gens for a second. Not to mention how all killer perks are easily counterable while there are so many surv perks that arent. Ruin? Do the bone and done., Retribution? do the bone and done. Noed? bones. Sloopy? heal. Pallet burster(dont rember but its endurng + that one spirit perk that destroys pallets) just dont slam killers. Nurses? dont heal in heart beat or use spine chill. Speaking of spine chill lets talk about surv perks with no counter and are actually OP as hell. Spine chill directly counters about half the rouster and plenty of perks. Quick is complete BS and can easily throw someone off. DS is DS just use locker and your safe for a minute and run that nancy perk that lets you heal cause thats cool, also unbreakable cause your small dick. I could go on. The only thing all Killers have that is OP is that they can Tunnel, Camp, or slug and even then they are garbage. Let me tell you a secret, its how you can beat someone win easily when someone does these. Do gens forehead, its that simple. By the time two people are camped and dead the gens will be done and the rest can escape. The killer will also down pip. If they slug then just hide better, and if you die then you get to black or 1 pip and they get a down pip so who cares. So please tell me who killers are overall stronger then survivors now then ever before when base survivors can easily counter most killer tactics and if their smart and bring perks like spine, unbreak, ds, and quick they can easily win every game if they have even the slightest bit of IQ.
Don't camp/tunnel and 2survs perks are useless. Wait 1 sec before hit and DH is useless. Both are easier than find 5 totems and cleanse them with undying. And yes, escape rate is about 1 of 4 games so killers are powerful.
The problem with this game is that devs let killers 4k so many times they wanted it every game. This has let to 4k - 1k games depends on the velocity of gen rushing. If gens take longer and killers where m1 and slower this game would be more enjoyable and it would be easier for a surv to escape and the killer to kill anyone, and sometimes you 0k or 4k, but on average you 2k. And you won't see DC or salty comments at the end, and campers or tunnelers. But now you can only escape if you gen rush, so games are 1k or 4k in 5 min.

And why did you not mention that this includes a) games vs killers where surivors hooksuicide on first hook and b) were red rank killers, even if the survivors were in green ranks? I think this is a vital information to assess the information you have given, why did you keep the rest for yourself?
Yes, i think dbd is survivor sided. SoloQueue is bad neverthless, because a lot of survivors are just potatoes. I play mostly solo survivor (had played killer up until the mori change, but not now) and the biggest problem is that in solo queue you often have 1-3 ppl allergic to generators.
I belive a lot of matches with solo survivors are not won by the killer, but rather lost by the survivors.
And include too killers that let survivor take the hatch and red rank survivors against killers in green ranks
-
Of course is survivor sided. You only need to see last stats and how kill rate is only about 70%. And this was before undying
-
Because freddy is pay to win, that's all

It's amazing how DS is still stronger than most killer perks, punished 3 times in a row because DS is a fair perk with no downsides.
No tunneling at all, use ruin + undying you as the killer get ######### talked, but survivors can use unbreakable + ds and it's fine in their eyes.
I'm just ranting but it is bs how you can tunnel 3 survivors at the same time but they still have a second chance and most likely we are going to see an undying nerf than DS.
I don't use undying and ruin but I'm sure they will get nerfed since DS is fine.
Inb4 "just look for another survivor!!!"
so many killers ask for a ds nerf only to be an anti tunnel perk. I”ll to see a nerf to ds that makes it active only for 30secs after unhooked and desactivated if you do something but you can use it twice and without the skill check. you would see rivers of tears with this modification

Seriously my least favorite killer by far
Just played against one who moved faster than usual while holding someone and had basically no cooldown when trying to hit me. I mean like she swiped three times in the span of ten seconds it was ridiculous.
Any tips for facing off against the legion? I almost want to hook suicide every time I figure out that they're my killer, and I probably would if it wasn't so unfair to the rest of my team. It's so frustrating because the survivor queue is pretty long after a certain hour and I sit in the queue for 20 minutes just to get put against a tunneling, camping legion, and an entire team suicide.
Do you know this is a killer forum? Expect answers like git gud, do gens, he’s the worst killer in this game, play civilization ...

I just find it strange that in a game where the killer is supposed to be a powerful dangerous Force meant to be avoided, my fellow survivors want to complain about the danger. Iridescent add-ons, instant down attacks, moris, undying and ruined hex combo, etc. It's four survivors versus a monster, not four survivors versus their equivalent. Every survivor should expect the killer to decimate them without any Mercy and using every shortcut available. I firmly believe that if a killer seems too strong it's only because your survivor skills are too weak. The opposition is supposed to be oppressive otherwise it's not an obstacle to overcome. I just think we should stop with the cuddle requests to the devs and let them expand the danger not pull it back.

They should move many of the 100% russian campers to these servers. Perhaps this way devs would make something about camping.

Not OP. Very strong combination, sure, but the price you pay for it is also high. Ruin + undying takes half of your perk slots and can be destroyed.
Sometimes gens pop so fast that new killers can't get much done without slowing the game down somehow. Still, those perks won't do anything without some map pressure, so it's not a free win either.
I'm survivor main.

multi-quote exists, you just click quote on each that you want to respond to.
It's understood, unless you state in the title or description, that you know the basics of how to do something regardless of what your opinion on it is. People who post the obvious don't have a critical mind to actually look past that, and instead just point out the obvious because we apparently need to repeat the same thing over and over again like a bunch of babies.
"Do bones" is the strategy against this combo. It's is the best strategy, it is the only viable strategy. Asking the devs to nerf it is like asking a dev to nerf Calm Spirit because it negates Doctor's whole concept. A killer who comes in with this combo in mind must be aware of the risks and downsides, and survivors who play against these killers must keep an eye out for the potential of this happening. Just like survivors have to know the risks behind running Unbreakable/Decisive Strike. But these are all potentials, both sides need to be aware of these combinations and know how to fight against them.
And hit again was the strategy against mom, and they killed the perk

You don’t need distorsion to this. It’s always b&c, ruin, undiying and tinkerer. Touch a gen and if you see there”s no regression it”s pgtw
