That's the right play tho. You drop and stay near the body waiting to injure a rescurer and hopefully get a second down. Some won't be happy if you don't let the survivor wiggle out once he sabbo'd and then act as if nothing happened.
-
Let's be honest, pyramid is not very fun to play and not many people use it. His m2 can is good but only hits on windows and pallets, and the whole mindgame is switching m2 into m1. Its a good killer, just a bit boring, i liked him before the nerf/buff when he could switch to m1 faster and didn't have the slowdown even though he couldn't spam m2 as much, i really hated that change and i almost never play him.
-
I'd say dying light and no mither are the 2 perks that are worse than not having one.

3 games in a row now where the obsession DCs before i can get the last hook and i can't complete the damn challenge. Make it so if they DC you get credit for it.
Same thing is happening to me O.O
-
A survivor told me "I hope you choke on your own vomit while sleeping" without any chat filter. I feel like the introduction of the filter made people even more toxic than before, not that i care much since endgame salt can be fun, it just shows how low-life some players are.
-
They did that to save money on moderation team, now they don't have to reports about end game chat.
-
It's not the hatchet hitbox, it's the survivor hitbox, all of them have the same even if they have different sizes, otherwise running male survivors would be even more of a disavantage. And also have to remember that environment has garbage hitboxes and hatches collide on invisible stuff all the time, specially on reworked/new maps.
-
bbq gives you info when you hook, and thrilling when you pickup so more or less they do the same job, i would swap one of those for example tinkerer or some other perk that you like
-
none of them are unfun to go against i just don't get why you use bbbq and thrilling tremors together
-
About the locker thing... I've been accused multiple times of "wallhacks" because i spotted someone slowhiding in a locker on bbq... I hope it's not the case.
-
You clearly have never played killer if you think "cOmInG baCK HoOk" is as valuable as just camping. I hook, i leave if i see nobody near, if i still haven't spotted anyone and i hear an unhook going back hook is the BEST option available, and if i find you i'll down you. There's nothing misterious or evil about that, you just have no idea what you are talking about and are entitled to killers playing the way you want and get 4 escapes.

He got some QoL changes. Also, you have to let go of the notion that nerfing or buffing perks is the same as nerfing or buffing killers.
Undying was literally the best perk on Blight, nerfing undying nerfed the max potential of Blight, i don't think you can argue otherwise in good faith. He is obviously still very good but it was obviously a big nerf to his most powerful and popular build.

- He's fun.
- He's pretty strong with a very comfortable learning curve, that also feels satisfying.
- The growing popularity of streamers such as LilithOmen.
- The impending doom of SBMM.
- He is no longer a midget in first person.
Oh true i remember the atrocious FOV, that alone could have changed a lot of minds
-
Might be useful in brown ranks where people can't hit skillchecks and don't know what coulrophia does.
-
Deadhard is the best exhaustion perk BY FAR because it's useful even if you don't have it. The killers will allways waste some time in case you have DH at least once per game for each survivor, and this sometimes means they get to make it to pallets or windows and extend the chase for 30 secs.

That's the reason. It's not the overheat mechanic. Every billy used to run Carburator, Primer bulb, Spark plug, Engravings.
Example. They gutted Freddys add ons. I used to face full slowdown Freddys every other game before the nerf.
Where is the Freddy mains now? I mean Freddy add on mains. That's right, no one plays as Freddy anymore.
The thing that made me stop playing freddy was not the addons... It was the unnecessary nerf on his kit after the undying nerf.

I also want my altruism points. What I don't want is a petty frustrating twat constantly doing ######### near me when I wasn't even the one who saved them
I'll continue taking my chances, i think it's worth rescuing anyway. Maybe 1/3 times i rescue someone that wants to kill themselves goes to grief the game and being able to report him so he doesn't do it to more survivors in the future is good for the game. Griefing is bannable but killing yourself on hook is not since you can't prove he wasn't just trying to 4% or claim ignorance on how it works etc.
-
######### only 2 pigs and plagues? Pig i could understand but plague is actually a good killer, i don't get it. And i bet the ones you encountered was because they had a quest.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
If you rescue a survivor who is trying to kill themselves on first hook, they won't return to playing the game just like you want them to. They want out of that game and they will make an effort to get out of it, no matter what, and they'll be spiteful about it too.
Dropping all pallets on the map? They'll do it.
Fail every skillcheck while following someone around even if they didn't save? They'll do it.
Spam loud noise notifications near you? They'll do it.
Lead the killer to you by "accident" in a chase? They'll do it.
They'll do more, too, but this is the most common things I've seen and had done to me because someone rescued them from the hook.
So, please, stop saving people who are trying to kill themselves on first hook. Your 1500 altruism bloodpoints aren't worth the entire team being jeapordised even more than if they'd just died. Because instead of the game becoming a 3v1, it becomes a 3v2, and that's infinitely harder to win.
Record them, report them, I don't care, just please let them move to another game instead of having them ruin the one they're stuck in. I'm so tired of it.
But then you have an excuse to report him for griefing plus i want my altruism points on a game that will be doomed anyways with 1 less survivor.
-
Why would i even bother spending time bringing the survivor to the basement if it suddently becomes just a hall with safe hooks? The whole point of bringing someone to the basement is that survivors need to be more cautious and spend more resources to rescue from there.
-
I allways give a chance for 1 of the last 2 survivors that have been hiding for ages to rat the other survivor out to make him think i'll spare his life if he does.
-
Yeah it's the one of the must fun parts of the game. I'm not changing targets or throwing the game but if it's worth i'll make sure he won't get past struggle phase and i will remember his name in future matches, specially good if i happen to play bubba.

Except most of the cheaters use alt accounts on family share to get the game and dlcs for free on as many accounts as they like, continuing to use the same cracked client, and havent been VAC banned yet. If you've been VAC banned for Dead By Daylight, you cannot play Dead By Daylight in any online capacity. Being VAC banned in another game isn't a guarantee of being a cheater in DBD, though it is more likely.
Ultimately, it would be a giant waste of time.
I guess lobbies in games like TF2, garry's mod...etc that have a box to block people with vac bans in their account are just wasting their time doing that. People that have cheated in the past are much more likely to continue cheating.

RPD is a trash map, that's what I think. It's mostly the map's fault. Try hiding on shelter woods from the killer for long and tell me what you think.
So survivors should not get banned for stalling a game for 2 hours just hiding from the killer without him having a chance? Because i literally went afk on nurse on this map, i went to take a shower and lunch and the game was still going on, apprently this is allright.

Hiding is not taking the game hostage either: the killer can stop it any time by finding the survivors. Holding the game hostage is only literally bodyblocking survivors as a killer while the EGC can't start, only literally unending situations qualify.
Try playing Nurse in RPD against "immersive" survivors and come back and tell me what you think.

@Yatol said:
it dosent work like that, in order to do that they would have to use Valve anti cheat program (which they aren't)
I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be that much of an issue to make a script that checks peoples steam profile for their ban historial.
-
I hate deadhard, but i hate many other things too and you shouldn't change your playstyle because some people might not like it or you will just end up being everyone's cuck.

proof i used the add-ons
(for the record im joking her purples and iris are trash)
I actually love matchbox, they don't expect a walking nurse and you get a lot of cheap hits, and you are stil a killer that can teleport so doesn't get unplayable. It's like playing an A tier killer.
-
I got told that i was a psycopath and a bunch of racial slurs for not respecting the 4%. Yeah no thanks, there's literally no skill involved and no reason for the killer to respect that.
-
EDIT: removed it was not the same game, it was from yesterday
-
The survivor one i just equiped the perk calm spirit and got the reward just by doing gens near him, i don't think it's that bad. The one with the tonic is absolutely impossible to get without throwing the whole game. You'd have to be very lucky to be in an a loop of the perfect size where the survivor just stays there and doesn't hold W so you could setup the right tonics at the right time.

I don't even know how I would submit video evidence of a cheater on console, which I play on. Any idea?
You could but i bet nobody does. You would have to pull out your phone while you record the screen with one hand and play with the other one and then send that video from your phone to your pc and upload it to some web online to include the link to the ticket and you will probably have lost the interest in doing that some steps back and the cheater will continue.
-
My only rule in the book is play how you want but don't complain in end game chat if the other team plays like a ######### back.

I think that the Meta would greatly diversify if Ruin began gen regressing, it was at the (50%/75%/100%) speed, and kicking a gen causes 200% gen regression.
this would make kicking viable.
Also, after a generator has been kicked maybe add a two or three second downtime of uninterrupted repairs where no progress can be made, and must be done all at once.
this prevents tapping gens to stop regression immediately.
Thoughts?
Many people have said something like that and i agree. And this would make other mediocre regression perks like surge or opression viable. Going against ruin is unfun because you have to stick to the gen and at the same time the killer has no reason most of the time to kick the gen right now if he doesn't have pop, this is a change that i hope at least they try on a future patch.
-
Just do bones lol. If you just nerf NOED you remove only reason for survivor to do totems so they have more time to do gens, it would be a straight up buff for survivors even if the killer wasn't running NOED. If you want to do something like that then you must give another reason for survivors to do totems, like for example for each dull totem not cleansed gen speeds are reduced 2%
-
@Boss said:
Outdated and demanding?
I successfully got someone a VAC ban not 2 months ago for blatant cheating, video added.
It is outdated and demanding, you shouldn't have to use an external program to record evindence of someone cheating or else you get ignored, the mods should be able to check the logs of the game to be able to decide wether he was cheating or not. Counter Strike for example.
-
I don't get it... You are getting offended on behalf of someone else about a killer getting a kill? I'm confused.
-
Never. A killer will never be S tier without mobility because it would mean his kit would feel too opressive for survivors and would eventually get nerfed even if it was already worse than nurse, spirit or blight. This could happen if they eventually reduce the size of all maps and allow killers with decent chase power to also have map presence.
-
That would be a good idea to rework NOED (the only reason to break dull totems) and introduce something like this.
-
I actually agree with what's said in this post, remove BT, Kindred, bbq abd ruin and make them sort of base kit in a nerfed way this way would make soloq better without making swf stronger since they don't benefit as much for kindred and killer would still be benefited by those 2 changes. I think the devs should consider some variation of this to introduce more variety on builds and playstyle.

Ok, thx. Do totems count for the Objective emblem?
Totems give chase points
-
Getting to rank 1 as solo survivor is hard but not as hard as many people pretend. Kindred is a MUST if you want to have an easier time, I'd include BT and then your choice exhaust and extra perk. As long as you don't ragequit in games you will get safety pips or +1 most of the time and you'll eventually get to 1. If a game seems totally lost go do totems, try to milk as much altruism and objective and try to bait the killer to chase you in a safe zone to farm chasing, even if you die you will safety pip.
-
When you say it's not fun ANYMORE you mean that you used to have fun with killer in the past? I don't think killers have been ever in a better state in the game (maybe before the hit validation patch). I still have plenty of fun as killer even with all the problems that very slowly are getting solved even if some others emerge. I don't know your playstyle but the thing that made me enjoy the killer role more than survivor was not trying to follow the rulebook and to lower expectations when I play weak killers.
-
When you talk about Myers i hope you don't talk about the red tombstone because its one of the easiests builds to counter and bully of the game.
-
put the graphics on low and activate sharpening from nvidia and looks better than on ultra and with better fps
-
Don't you eventually get banned if you dc when penalty is on? I've seen people on the forums complain about longer dc penalties
-
Last test as survivor i went against nurse and blight 75% of the time, the other killers were A tier. As killer i was facing 4 mans constantly. I don't know if it will be the best experience.
-
I've played matches as oni against a good swf where 3 gens pop before they let me hit a surv, they just drop pallets nonstop, and in this patch where pallets are ultrasafe it's even worse
