For everyone who dislike NoED. What do you think of this rework?

I had 2 ideas for a rework for NoEd. It's still an End Game boost that does the same thing. But now it's something the killer has to work for to get the max out of NoED. Please let me know what you think :)

  • Can you now rework ds and bt, so survivors have to work for them as well?

    Just for fairness reasons.

  • Kind of funny how NOED would last 120 seconds with the full 6 stacks. When it was nerfed years ago and before it became a hex, it lasted 120 seconds at tier 3:

It's not a bad idea though. But I feel like it should no longer be a hex perk at that point. So a bit like how STBFL used to have a default value of 40%~ but now you have to earn tokens for it to be 40%, the same could be done for NOED without the hex part. Basically reverting it to how it used to be like in the screenshot above, but you gotta earn it.

  • But if the killer applies so much pressure to the survivors that they dont have time to clean some easy to find totems that basicly spawn at the same 2 or 3 points on a tile every match, hasn´t he earned it then already?

I actually had no idea NoED used to work like that. And yea, I think you're right. It would probably be better if it wasn't a Hex perk if it worked like this

I mean, DS and BT are just to prevent Tunneling. I don't really see why they need a rework. And DS did get a huge nerf to make it more balanced. But if you have something in mind, please let me know :)

Perhaps the killer should work for kills rather than tunneling.

  • Yes, but why has only the killer to work for something. Survivors don´t. (and dont get me wrong, i am a solo survivor main, but play both sides, even if survivor way more. However, i can get all totems in most matches even if i do them alone, and i dont think any hex totem is really a problem in this game).

I don't even know how to respond to this... Just lol

  • Then respond to my other post. Argument: If you didnt have time to do totems, the killer did work for his perk. Any argument against that?

I get your point. I myself don't really mind NoED. This is more for the people who complain about it all the time. And survivors do have perks they have to work for, just not as many as killers, like Adrenalin, Deliverance, etc.

  • Just do bones lol. If you just nerf NOED you remove only reason for survivor to do totems so they have more time to do gens, it would be a straight up buff for survivors even if the killer wasn't running NOED. If you want to do something like that then you must give another reason for survivors to do totems, like for example for each dull totem not cleansed gen speeds are reduced 2%

    This.

Killers can ignore both of these perks lol

  • Here's how I'd rework it:

For every totem remaining on the map gain a .5/.75/1% speed boost.

Any survivor who's been hooked at least once becomes broken when injured (Broken overrides Adrenaline)

Any survivor who's been hooked twice becomes exposed and can be killed by the killer's own hand.

  • Not that Noed needs to be reworked as it has counters, is endgame only and is also a hex.

But it would be better if it worked like coupe where you get tokens, these tokens are used per swing etc.

But seriously noed doesnt need a nerf. You're versing a killer with 3 perks 90% of the trial, no one is forcing you to try save the last person but you can get the hex and do so.

  • I like the first one.

That being said I don't like the mentality that a killer has to do back flips to have a decent perk... and with a hex none the less. This whole 'the killer must EARN' a perk is silly. On top of that people keep forgetting the whole point of hexes. They are high risk/high reward because they are attached to totems.

Here is the thing, I am not against changing noed. However you can't make it a hex, end game perk, and have conditions. That is ridiculous.

  • I like the idea, force Killers to actual work for it. Though the problem of Noed relied on camp/tunnel 1st survivor then Noed 2nd one. Makes it 2K no effort. And the idea doesnt really fix it.

And I feel there is no way to change how Noed work to not rewarded from camp/tunnel

Even at red ranks, these perks are not going to save a survivor against a good killer. If these perks allow the survivors to completely outplay the killer, they wouldn't have gotten the kill even if DS/BT were not present. I rarely see DS these days in red ranks, and if I do, it is usually only one person on the team. More often than not, I typically find these players to be the weaker link most of the time. I can think of less than 3 instances where I was outplayed by a team that baited me into a DS that allowed escapes. In those instances though, I had already lost to a competent team and was just looking for a 2nd kill during EGC.

As for BT, it means literally nothing until EGC. During the match, three things are going to happen:

    1. You hook someone, and go apply pressure elsewhere. Person gets unhooked, and BT does nothing for them because you aren't there.
    2. You patrol nearby gens, and return if you suspect an unhook. You focus the person unhooking, and BT does nothing.
    3. You happen to be nearby the unhook, but not close enough to catch the person unhooking. You pursue the person who was unhooked, and let BT run out, which is a measly 12 seconds, most of which will be burned from you catching up. BT does nothing.

The only time BT is going to save someone is if you hook them during EGC, and healthy survivors rescue them. They have a good chance of being able to get away if they are even remotely near a door, and their healthy teammates are blocking like they should be.

I'm saying this as a killer main: BT and DS need no changes.

  • How about this for a noed rework

When the exit gates are powered and atleast one dull totem is remaining noed activates and lights the totem

All survivors scream revealing their location and are effected by the expose effect. Survivors who cleansed a totem are unneffected by this effect

    Your speed increases by 5/6/7%

Added scream so the killer knows who is exposed and to let the survivors know noed is in play

Only 3 totems need to be cleansed to make the exposed effect irrelivant in case of a camp.

Even a single totem cleansed is enough for bodyblocking

Increased speed to compensate for the other effects being added.

Not only gives some counterplay to noed but also punishes survivors who let others do the totem work. If you want to not be effected do a damn totem

Play thing requires a hook, to affected on a Survivor. That Hex also not able to paired with any other Hex.

I got one. Hook a unique Survivor gain a token, up to 4 tokens. When 5 Gen done (not Gates powered), anytime you have enough 4 tokens, a Dull totem become Noed.

You can have 3 hooks on 3 survivors -> Gates powered -> you able to hook 4th survivor -> Noed activated.

  • A perk that rewards the killer for ACTUALLY hooking survivors? Hell yeah. The issue with NOED is that rn it takes zero effort to activate it, this would be a nice fix to it.

However I'm thinking, maybe increase the killer's movement speed by 2% for each token, up to a maximum of 12% for each token. The speed boost will only activate after the last gen is done.

  • No thanks. NOED doesn't need a rework. Survivors need to cleanse totems instead of begging the devs to do it for them.

Im a hardcore Noed user. But are you able to run Killer enough time for other 3 team mates do 5 Gen & 5 dull totem?

Totems, gens, and running the killer are divided up between all 4 survivors, making them all much easier to do.

Thats the point, Noed isnt a problem on its own.

The problem is when camper/tunneler use it. You have to ignore Dull totem and rush Gen. As it goes, first survivor camped/tunneled to death, second survivor will die to Noed. 2k. No effort.
