It's a powerful crutch perk so don't be cocky when you win an entire game thanks to no ed. Yes it's an end game perk and can easily be avoidable, but not everyone is going to break totems.
I mean it's not the most powerful crutch perk ( DH used properly for distance) theres no counter to that . meanwhile there are several counters to noed 1. small game 2. detectives hunch 3. maps 4. learn totem spawn points 5. do totems on your way to gens .

The killer can instantly down the unhooker if they are close enough when the unhook happens if I'm not mistaken. And that's just while healthy.
just like if a killer doesnt pressure the survivors working on the last gen and a survivor comes off the hook fully healed by adren it's the survivors fault for making a mistake . the unhooked went for a risky unhook without borrowed time and should be penalized for it .
killers get penalized for messing up a lot (which is fine imo) for example , nurse gets penalized for a bad blink .

Just slug them. If you lunge when they’re on a gen you hit them instead of grabbing them.
I find it funny how people here complain about DS night and day.
Old DS was awful, absolutely awful. New Ds...there are some situations where it’s annoying by for the most part I dont find myself affected by it that much anymore.
If someone is getting frustrated with DS all the time then I think they need to reflect on their playstyle as its likely more tunneling than they realize.
I dont have to deal with getting hit by DS much either but when it happens it's usually for something stupid .
also how do you feel about DS working during the EGC?

Just dont pick up the guy who just got unhooked for 60 seconds. I don’t see whats so hard. Otherwise eat it, its only a 5 second stun.
Meanwhile killers think its perfectly fine to ask survivors to cleanse 5 totems which is 74 seconds and then theres the travel time on top so you’re talking 2-3 mins minimum otherwise the killer gets a turbo boost and instadowns.
How about you lot take a look in the mirror. You’re asked to do one simple thing and apparantly its too hard but you expect survivors to jump through all kinds of hoops. Now apparantly we dont just need gens the game needs to be changed so we collect 50 golden trinkets and 20 silver jingamabobs before we can even touch a gen. lmao what is this a 90’s platformer?
you're still not understanding the point. the devs have stated several times that ds is a anti tunnel perk , survivors abuse it by doing stuff like going for the save . or getting on a gen only to be grabbed off it after another survivor has been hooked.

I don't mean the November stats, I'm restating what Almo said was the reason Pig is not getting any drastic basekit buffs.
yes and almo also forgot to mention that she has one of the lowest pick rates out of all killers. which means there is probably a reason a lot of people are not playing her .

Pig isn't underperforming rn, so they were probably for the best.
devs said you shouldnt base your opinions on the stats. also if we are then you gotta remember she hasone of the lowest pick rates which means the people playing her have been probably playing her nonstop so of course the kill rate will be extremely high.

Then show me the killer nerf that made a drastical change in their gameplay like non of the survivor changes! All this bias of yours is unacceptable.
the legion nerf would like to have a word with you. also all the good trapper spots would like to have a word with you too.

including all the pig nerfs?

As a Doctor main with about 2600 hours in this game here is what I've come into believing.
Doctor before required precise timing, planning and positioning which added to his difficulty. Compounded with his cooldowns and speed, this made him a hard to master, but rewarding Killer to play.
Now, with this rework, although super fun to play. It has made him completely mindless to go against and took the skillcap from him. He's now incredly high reward no risk that even a baby could play him and 4k.
He's back to being competely unfun to go against as a Survivor.
I only played doctor a couple of times before the rework and the one thing I've noticed that his static shock is much easier to use . like you said old doctor had to be precise with his shock but now it seems like you can just use it and get a free hit.
as a survivor I've also realized that the only way I can really counter him is by throwing pallets down early .

Yeah because running around a huge map looking for 5 little totems and cleansing all of them to stop the killer from having godlike power is so much easier than.....simply not picking up the guy who got off the hook for 60 seconds just to avoid a 5 second stun lmao
there are perks and items that can help you with finding them. detectives hunch works wonders.

that's really just an opinion , I've been maining legion at rank 1 this past two weeks and I'm doing alright .(not winning every game but that's how it be)

When I play killer, I try to make this happen and it's usually pretty easy to do.
it always happens on autohaven I swear .

Oh I have a lot
teammates are allergic to generators
teammates who go down in 5 seconds and it is LEGIT 5 SECONDS!!!!
3 of my teammates get injured in 20 seconds
teammates who bring the killer to the hooked person instead of making the killer go far away so the hooked person get rescued
All of my teammates hide behind a tree when the killer is camping me even tho I have kindred
teammates search for ruin for 3 minutes but do not find it and all the generators have 0% progress except the one I am working on and they get slaughtered left and right but ruin got nerfed so it is not a thing anymore
teammates who try to farm but fail now we have one hooked one down
Solo is ez btw 🤡🤡🤡
u forgot about the teammates that throw all the pallets down during one chase

I play the game so I can actually. Nice troll about Hag. All I said was that there is nothing you can do in one specific scenario - a point which you never refuted. Never specifically said the killer was OP.
So either refute my point or pipe down about it.
you said "what are you supposed to do when unhooking someone over a trap?"
you're acting like it's impossible and that she's the strongest killer in the game. all you have to do to counter her is crouch away lmao.

I've played maybe 10 hours since the archives came out, and only one of my games was as survivor. I know killer is stressful to play, but I also know that it isn't impossible to do everything right. They key is learning from your mistakes and having patience with yourself.
just out of curiosity what rank are you ?

By that time couldn't the killer wait 10 seconds or less? Or is it too much to keep track of?
it's kinda like how red rank survivors always find a way to 3 gen themselves

Out gamed by a perk that requires no skill. Wowser. Who’s entitled? Lmao.
You could also argue that she baited you into coming for the save which got you killed.

I love how it's okay for survivors to have second chance perks but not for killers lmao.

No I felt bad and am on account I don’t care about so I went for save. Doesn’t change the fact she didn’t earn any kills by chase or skill. Relied on Noed or would have gotten none. Sorry but killers who rely on Noed suck.
well its still your fault , you (knowing she was camping with noed )went for the save and got killed. you could have done other things to prevent this :
1. just leave and not go for the save
2. cleanse the totem before opening the exit gate
3. cleanse totems while she was camping your teammate earlier.
Stop making excuses and realize you messed up .
Also DH doesnt take and skill, BT doesnt take skill, and adrenaline doesnt take skill hell you could even argue DS doesnt take skill.
-
@ppo8820 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/124120/for-the-people-who-are-complaining-about-noed
Yeah yeah. Just went against a rank 16 huntress. Spent game tunneling one player. Me and other players did all gens. Facecamped the tunneled player. I tried to go save at egc. Noed. Then she facecamped me. Noed is a crutch for unskilled killers. Huntress sucked and was toxic af, didn’t deserve any kills.
so while your teammate was hanging you should have done totems .
Also you didnt have to go for the save . also you could have left the door 99ed and looked for the totem. I never said it easnt a crutch perk but remember survivors have dozens of crutch perks for second chances
-
@LetsPlayTogether said:
Just accept that NOED is a crutch perk.
kinda like DS, DH, BT and adrenalin.

Just down the rescuer instead of grabbing him and chase the unhooked person for 15 seconds so borrowed time will run out and down him and if they both still have ds active leave them slugged until it run out and if the others come to rescue the slugged survivors you will still get free hits on them making them more pressured
but then they use another meta perk called unbreakable and your pressure is gone !

lmfao so hag chases a survivor and teleports to the hook is tunneling?
Is it that hard to crouch and unhook in quiet way?
I was being sarcastic. which is why I said "tunneling"
-
@ClickyClicky said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1033353#Comment_1033353
Why are you waiting around the hook?
I can see now why so many players here find the game hard as they aren’t applying any pressure to the survivors sat elsewhere pumping generators.
you could also argue that trying to down survivors who are hook rushing Is a great way to apply pressure.
-

Yes, because its camping when you turn around to go check on a gen and survivor with BT unhooks them while within a meter of you. Fair and balanced and takes tons of skill and can be countered by good play. (sarcasm mode)
just stop arguing with him, dude isnt going to listen. too bias.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1033269#Comment_1033269
Yep, I sure loved being chased for most of the game or messing about for a few minutes trying to get off a RBT then dying because I didn’t have enough time to scout the entire map for 5 totems before the gens were done.
Great having to run map wide around 1000 mile long maps like mothers dwelling hunting for 5 little totems just to stop a perk that turns the killer into a god and removes the speed penalty from slow movement killers. Seems like a fair exchange.
if you cant take time out of pumping gens then it's your fault. not the killers.

I believe this is mainly for those in game who do(Idk why he's posting on the forums).
He does however have a point as when I play survivor(I don't run it because I try not to let all gens get done when I play killer) nearly every game where noed goes off people complain in the end game lobby about it and decry the killers for using noed when I was the only one who broke totems(Noed when off after I broke 4 totems meaning no one else did a single one of them).
that's what it is mainly for but I have seen some post complaining about it today . also I just wanted to inform solo que survivors that Its still possible, I only play solo que so i just wanted to give some advice .
-
that has nothing to do with the topic. did you get lost or somethin? we're talking about noed here buddy boy .
-
yes because a survivor unhooking another survivor and getting grabbed is "tunneling"
-
@ClickyClicky said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1033164#Comment_1033164
Because when killers dont like something its nerf, nerf, nerf and a lot of excuses.
When survivors dont like something its adapt or jump through hoops. No matter how much effort needs to be put in killers will argue some counterplay in some way. Best one is “dont get hooked”.
okay now I know your comments are bait lmao.

@FrenziedRoach NOED rewards bad play. You never see a good player take NOED, it’s always the bad players.
Its hilarious how killers always defend it. You know if it was on the survivor side they would be screaming. Hell they are about Adrenaline and begging for nerfs.
Its hard to stop NOED as a solo survivor. If you run around on a totem hunt you miss out on so much else you wont get points. You have to confirm all 5 are out though, you cant just rely on other survivors. You can run around and not find some, have you missed them? Have they been cleansed? Even small game is no good as it wont tel you if the totem has been destroyed.
People have talked about ways to make NOED fair. You want survivors to do totems? Fine. How about a notification so solo players know how many have been done?
bzzzzz veto’d. Killer mains wont allow it because they dont actually want survivors doing the totems. They want NOED to activate as its far more powerful and easier than having survivors cleansing totems.
With NOED its always “git gud, just cleanse totems” but its funny how when it comes to DS asking them to simply “stop tunneling” and its “DEEEEVS!! NERF PLZ!!”
@almo care to share the actual statistic if you have it? Outside of swf It definitely activates far, far more than survivors cleansing all 5 totems.
I can’t believe the game designer uses NOED. Hmm, then again maybe that explains more than I realise.
Do you stream? When I see Pigs with NOED I get bad vibes. Would nice to be dispel that image.
There are plenty of ways for solos to find totems , I never play with SWF and I have no problems with finding and cleansing .
1. small game
2. detectives
3. maps
4. cleanse totems on your way to another gen
5. not really a counter but advice , totems usually have common spawn points . just try and memories where they can spawn and check those places on your way to another gen or when doing nothing.
like many people have said , this perk lays in the hands of survivors , if they're sole objective is to pump out gens and they get hit with noed then it's on them .
-
they should nerf them, but only when they nerf keys.
-
yeah I've been getting tunneled non stop by doctors today . feels bad man.
Also what's with all the doctors using iri queen ?

You can expect some of those Items for the Archives. Like, you have to do a number of Gens? Bring a Toolbox to be faster. Also many Toolboxes right now are for Sabotage, because there is also a Challenge.
Flashlights, most likely because they are bugged right now. I have not seen them as a problem, because they might be bugged, but when Survivors suck with them, they are not effective at all, despite being bugged.
Other than that, should be fine? Survivors pay for their Items, so I guess its fair to get some use out of those before those BPs are wasted.
so I can use my moris ?
-
I've found that throwing pallets down early is a great counter to him
-
why spies?
-
Out of curiosity, what rank are you?
Also like others have stated there are many ways to counter bbq
1. hop into a locker

3. be near the killer when he hooks the survivor
