    Because most killers are frustrated at seemingly not having a 'power' role in the game along with the frustration of all the survivors second chance perks. Pigs changes are only reinforcing that feeling.

    That and recent changes to Pig and Legion make it seem like we are not playing the game that the devs have envisioned.

    @GenSim12345

    You know what's the worst part about the Pig's changes?

    Ok, so they nerfed Legion in a lot of ways because he would be too powerful (ms while in FF, Tr, swing miss cancels FF, power gauge, etc) but when they nerfed the Pig they didnt give her anything to compensate for that...

    They're saying that if the devs made the killers or survivors OP in a situation then it would be frustrating and unfair for the other side. How is that reasoning false?

    If the Killer or Survivors are of equal skill, there should never be a situation where either side has "no chance to win."

    @MistressChara

    There is no situation designed by Devs in which one of the sides is not able to win.

    Take Pig for example, they nerfed her because they thought "hey, if she manages to get you in the end-game it's gonna be almost impossible to win" but every decision the Pig has made through the game has lead to that specific moment and she has earned it, why is she getting punished for that?

  • @Peanits said:

    There seems to be a misunderstanding here, by no means is a Killer not supposed to kill. The key is that you need to make sure that both sides always have a chance to win, even if that chance is very slim. To use the pig, as an example, if you got chased for a minute after the End Game started and then trapped, you simple would not have a chance to remove your trap escape by the time you get saved (especially now that the End Game timer is two minutes). You would have to win the lottery and remove your trap on the first box.

    If you create a situation where someone has no chance to win, it feels like a waste of time. If you know you're going to die and there's nothing you can do about it, it's going to feel awful. You'll just want to get it over with as fast as possible. The same would go for the Killer side as well. If you were in a scenario where you could not possibly win, you would have a miserable time.

    It's a tricky to strike a balance in an asymmetrical game, but it's important to make sure that everyone in the match has a chance up until they win or lose, whether losing is dying or getting sacrificed, or if losing is all the survivors getting out the gates.

    @Peanits

    "If you create a situation where someone has no chance to win, it feels like a waste of time. If you know you're going to die and there's nothing you can do about it, it's going to feel awful. You'll just want to get it over with as fast as possible. The same would go for the Killer side as well. If you were in a scenario where you could not possibly win, you would have a miserable time."

    That reasoning makes no sense.

    Both killer and survivor have the same chance to win, the fact that a killer makes that "situation where someone has no chance to win" happen, is because every decision that killer has made in the game has lead to that moment, meaning that YOU, the devs, are not creating that situation, the players are doing it, therefore those players who make that situation happen should be rewarded for it because they spent time and effort to get to that situation and they take the risks that may come alongside it.

    In other words, this game is chess, a game in which both sides have the same chance to win from the start, and you are just punishing the player who earned his checkmate.

  • @Trotfoxx

    Dude, even survivors have said that infinites should be removed...

  • The real question is: why cant any killer be top tier?When most killers just need little tweaks:

    - Trapper: being able to carry all of his traps.

    - Myers: Increase stalking speed.

    - Pig: This EGC was gonna be a good buff to make her top tier but they nerfed her instead.

    - Doctor: Bigger range on his shock + less shocks to put someone in madness 3.

    The list goes on and on...

    I understand that not EVERY killer could be top tier, but at least make them as strong as they could be.

    Check Battlefront 2 for example.

    Obi Wan in that game was freaking trash, he was like the Doctor version of that game and what did the devs do? They just increased the speed of his normal attacks and now he can keep pace with heroes like Anakin or Luke (who btw are top tier heroes).

    My point is, now you can play as Obi Wan in that game because you wont be destroyed by some other experienced player, why cant we have the same here? If I want to play Clown against experienced survivors I wont stand a chance because that killer is just not good enough, when all he needs to stand a chance is make It so that his bottles have a bigger effect and duration...

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:

    Definitely says something when they immediately go after the Killers first attempt to adapt to the new changes.

    @Tzeentchling9

    Check the Q&A video around 40:40, they literally said they didnt want to make him top tier. In other words, they want Billy and Nurse all day...

  • @Tru3Lemon said:

    Erm the only nerf she have now its that her traps wont work on the end game

    @Tru3Lemon

    Yh, and while survivors keep their second chance perks like MoM, DS, DH, etc; the only second chance she could have in a match is completely removed...

  • Hey, if they dont want to protect their teammate it's their problem...

    I let them go if they are solo survivors but if they are SWF the unhooker better put his healthy ass in front of my face if Im following the injured guy, otherwise he's going back to the hook.

  • I like his changes tbh, the only thing I dislike is that they punish him too hard if he uses his power... There is no reason to punish him that hard because he cant down anyone with his power so I dont understand why they did that.

    Also his Tr should've stayed at 24m, just so he could punish those survivors who dont heal way harder.

  • @MonsterInMyMind said:

    @tt_ivi_99 https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/20099/patch-notes-2-2-0-shattered-bloodline#latest this was the patch he was talking about "Fixed an issue that could cause the Hillbilly's chainsaw to miss the hit detection" which they did buff his cone slightly to fix it which was shadow buffed people later noticed after this patch billy's hitbox was a lot larger

    @Hexyl

    Thanks!!!

    I didnt read that change when It came out because I never read the bug fixes 😂

  • I dont think this is the way to go... forcing you to play in a way that you dont like is not gonna help at all.

    We need either new objectives or buff all killers to Billy tier, this way survivors could keep using whatever build they'd want and killers wouldnt be at such disadvantage because they would have more time to accomplish their objective. + we would see more variety, something this game desperately needs.

  • Even with bamboozle you'll get looped. Some infinites still have 2 windows that completely negate any kind of counter.

    if you truly hate infinites you should just play Nurse.

  • @KaoMinerva said:

    I agree. Survivors just get so many chances. It's annoying

    @KaoMinerva

    If genrush wasnt a thing most people wouldnt even complain about Adrenaline, MoM, DS or exhaustion perks. Hell, if killers were all Billy Tier I would understand why that stuff is needed but that's not the case.

    Survivors tools just punish low tier killers, no wonder Billy and Nurse are the most played.

  • I've also played KYF with and against my SWF team and we all think the same, there is a reason why Billy and Nurse are still top tier.

    The reason is because they can mess up many times and they'll still be able to have a chance against survivors, they are also strong because they can punish survivors mistakes WAY harder than any other killer, shortening the chases by a lot.

    If you mess up as Legion 1 time while in Frenzy you'll get punished to hell...

    Same goes for Piggy, if you decide to keep some traps for the end-game because you got genrushed too hard you wont be able to use them because survivors will just scape through the exit gates anyway... In other words, instead of making survivors use their brains to beat a tactical killer, the devs just nerfed her to the ground... She is a tactical killer for ######### sake, if she wants to keep her traps is because she probably has something that'll help her on the end-game. Dont genrush, cleanse the totems and dont get found near the end-game, it's as simple as that. But no, survivors need easy scapes...

    I dont understand why Devs would do this when everyone wants the same thing, variety. Survivors cry because it's just Billy and Nurse and killers cry because they cant play anyone except Billy or Nurse and instead of making some other killers stronger they decide to just nerf them to the ground...

  • @White_Owl said:

    For some reasons they increased his hitbox some time ago. As if chainsaw hits weren't easy enough.

    @White_Owl

    Do you have anything to confirm that?

    If you go to Coldwind Farm and go to the combine and make a survivor stay on the hay and get as close to the window as he can you'll see that you cant hit him with the chainsaw if you are beneath him but you'll be able to hit him with your M1 attack.

  • @Peanits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/441976#Comment_441976

    That's not the flick, that's just the increased turning the hillbilly gets at the start of a chainsaw sprint. The flick was something that happened at the end of a chainsaw which allowed you to quickly look to the left or right. It basically made it so you could hit someone that wasn't in front of you.

    Short version, good luck dodging a chainsaw. Even if you made a sharp turn around a corner, you would still get hit.

    @Peanits

    That's exactly why I said they meant the curving shown in the video instead of the flick, because the flick doesnt exist anymore. I've had survivors telling me that I abuse the flick and when I ask them if they know what the flick was they say I get the speed boost at the beginning of the chainsaw therefore they mean the curving.

    My point is that some people misunderstand certain stuff like when people say that auto aim still exits but they confuse It with the fact that the game corrects the animation so that it doesnt look like you are hitting the air instead of the survivor. It's just a common mistake.

  • Yh because the PTB is full of experienced players and good swf teams to face...

    They punish this killer so hard for the little he gets that it's not worth playing as him, he is just a nerfed version of the Wraith...

  • His chainsaw hitbox is smaller than his regular M1 attack so stop clompaining.

  • Everyone has been doing that since the bug...

  • @GuapLz said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/441976#Comment_441976

    No they don't you can still do that kind of turn now,

    The chainsaw flick was when you ending your chainsaw you could turn your camera moving the chainsaw into survivors and it would kill them, but now it just goes through there body and doesn't do anything, cos they removed it.

    @GuapLz

    That's the only real Chainsaw Flick there is. Everything else is either hit detection messing around or just lag issues.

  • Even if they dont have anything programed yet, which I doubt it, you cant say they've done nothing to him because they've already given ideas on how they would like to rework him, whether those ideas make it or not is another thing.

  • @PiiFree said:

    @tt_ivi_99

    I imagine the endgame chat:

    OMG HIT THROUGH THE WINDOW WHAT THE ######### IS THIS #########????? FIX THE ######### HIBOXES I WAS 2 METERS AWAY FROM THE WINDOW WHEN I GOT HIT.

    @PiiFree

    Yh, I've had so many people telling me the same that I just dont reply anymore, let them cry.

  • They mean this:

    20190425_145500.gif

  • Because devs killed all of her potential to be a top tier killer because they want to give survivors easy escapes.

    If It was up to me I would remove the entire End-game Collapse if that brought back the RBT killing survivors if they try to escape by the exit gates.

  • So what?

    If it's true that he's coming he'll be a mid tier killer at best. Im not gonna spend money to get bullied.

  • Obsolutely no.

    Pig's strenght comes from her RBT and apply preassure to survivors with that.

    Now that the RBT doesnt kill survivors if they leave they can just Gen Rush and not worry at all about totems or end-game and it's gonna really hurt her gameplay. I've literally saved games against survivors with Adrenaline thanks to NOED + Bloodwarden combo as those allow me to put RBT on everyone once I down the first guy on the end-game.

    The Tr thing is also completely unnecessary because a Pig that wants to follow you or bodyblock you will just crouch so I dont see why they made this change + I've never used this tactic and I've never seen It either.

    Devs literally threw her potential to be top tier out the window.

  • @Plu said:

    New power : You can now makes yourself depip when using m2 and instantly end the trial, only 1 use per match.

    @Plu

    I can already see some survivors complaining about that...

  • What killers? You mean those guys that slap your back and hook you every now and then? You know, those that get punished if they kill you too early...

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    "end of story"... Tell that to the Hillbilly who yesterday chainsawed the Air next to me and still put me into the Dying State... with 40 ping. But yeah, its only Lag.

    @Aven_Fallen

    Hillbilly's chainsaw hit detection is the most inconsistent thing in this game. It doesnt work at all against exhaustion perks but sometimes you can get really strange downs.

    The problem goes both sides, not only survivor suffer from this.

  • They already said that if you want to be competitive you have to play those 2, that's it.

    I would love to be able to play any killer in rank 1 and also stand a chance against experienced survivors but they keep nerfing mid tier killers at best, look what they've done to Pig and Legion, look what they did to Freddy when he came out, Myers could have also been a top tier but he got nerfe long time ago, some killer perks are still trash which doesnt help at all with variety and the list goes on and on.

    Worst thing is that some survivors say ######### like "oh exhaustion nerf, DS nerf, flashlights nerf, pallet vacuum nerf, some Infinites nerf" thinking those changes werent needed, which btw all of that wasnt a nerf, those "nerfs" are balance, nerf is what they've done to Pig, a complete unnecessary change that makes her weaker.

    But anyway, Im using all my Moris and insta-saw add-ons this days because as soon as this changes make it live, because killer's feedback always gets ignored, I'll just uninstall and move back to Battlefront 2 full time. At least those devs know about balance and have all characters at almost the same tier + they listen to the community :)

  • @Hudson said:

    @tt_ivi_99 Member

    You are the first one I hear from that he loves scratched mirror Myers.

    Most of the time I bring him up, survivors just disconnect and tell me how lame I am to use this add on.

    @Hudson

    He is really fun to face imo, probably those who complain are the same people that complain about Billy...

  • Drop the pallet earlier or vault the window earlier, dont be so greedy.

    Hit-stun trade-off is fair, if you mistime a pallet drop you get punished, end of story.

  • @Andreyu44

    Sorry about that match, I was burning my Frank's Mixtapes, otherwise It would've been a Billy match :)

    Duuuude, you were the Legion that couldn't manage to hook Dwight! I was Kate xD.

    @tt_ivi_99

    @Andreyu44

    Haha, hey man. Yh, that f*cker kept going to the same corner, btw I just saw your comment.

    Also, sorry for that bs game, I had to burn all my Frank's Mixtape add-ons.

  • Haha, you figured that out on your own? Good, now go make Behaviour understand all of that because killers have been saying the same thing for a looooong time and devs dont seem to get the idea...

    They literally said that if you want to be competitive, aka be a scary killer, you have to play either Billy or Nurse. Now killers are playing those characters more than ever, just like the devs wanted...

    Good job devs :)

  • Win, like in any other normal game.

    Survivor = Escape

    Killer = 3-4k

  • I made more than one because I know you like them:

    My Time Has Come 23042019211542.jpg

    Bro Not Cool 23042019211651.jpg Trojan Horse 23042019211828.jpg

  • Worst part is that devs will probably ignore all of our feedback and release this patch like It is right now anyway...

    No problem tho, I have other games in which you actually get rewarded if you play good and you dont have to rely on 2 characters to win instead of your own skill.

  • It's actually a good idea, It would help to close the gap a lot.

  • The killer can chase only one person at a time, meaning that the other 3 survivors can do gens without any risk at all. Considering a gen can be done in 80 seconds you have more than enough time to complete all gens and get Adrenaline before the killer can hook all survivors 3 times. Even if the killer has NOED is better to just remember the totems you've seen around the map (something stupidly easy btw) and check them again once the killer shows he's got NOED.

    The only risk you face when being injured is when you have to move from gen A to gen B. If gens had to be completed like in Friday 13th, staying injured would be MUCH riskier because survivors would have to run around the map and the killer could have a bigger chance to find them.

  • Good luck Detective :)

  • You just described what'll happen to Legion with his new Tr, this is the main reason why that change alone will destroy that character.

  • If this becomes a thing I want Ruin to get the same treatment

  • LMAO, I literally started burning Frank's Mixtapes when I realized about the rework because I knew they would nerf It to the ground.

  • Not beyond 3 for sure.

    I honestly like how they made it so that his power cant down people but I hate the change they made to his Tr. That change alone is gonna kill this character...

    If they kept his Tr at 24m he would be in much better place. He would force people to heal or get ready for a 1 shot surprise attack. He is so small and if he kept his 24m Tr people would be healing like crazy because there would be almost no way to figure out when he's around, only some perks could help you.

    And of course they should get rid of that miss a hit and lose power thing... The speed nerf was also unncesary imo.

  • @No_Cluie_Louis said:

    It is indeed weird how the perk works worse against better killers like billy. I think any time you are injured you should gain a stack, that way killers can get it out of the way early game so it can't be a crutch towards the end

    @No_Cluie_Louis

    So you think the way to balance this perk is make It so that It doesnt have any counter in the game? Nice :D

  • Agree with everything you said except the Tr.

    His Tr was always 32m when using Frenzy so it's a big nerf for this killer and I think it's the most important tbh

  • I dont understand why Devs decided to make him a 32m Tr killer, I mean... The only reason people heal against this guy is because he's got a 24m Tr and combined with M&A it's a 16m Tr, so when they see the killer has M&A they start healing as crazy. With the 32m Tr no one will heal, survivors dont heal against Trapper, Billy, Plague, who are characters with a 32m Tr so it's gonna be the same with Legion...

    If they wanted Deep Wounds to not go down they should make it based on distance, not Tr, some perks like DH, MYC or TI work that way so I dont see why this couldnt be the same thing...

    Everything else should stay, except of course the reduced speed in Frenzy and the miss hit and lose power thing...

  • GWLF, Prove Thyself, Borrowed Time and No One Left Behind for those BP and quicker unhook speed or MoM to not go down whenever you unhook someone on your own and the killer is camping
