First of all, it was a holiday yesterday in Quebec.

Second of all, it's more been 2 1/2 days, considering the holiday yesterday it's been 1 1/2 days, and not even that considering it took them some time to discover it's a bug.

    Have patience with the devs.

I wish i have a boss like you. Just take it easy, it's not like it affects significantly all of your players.

Personally i'm not mad because of the bug (at this point is the most normal thing to expect), i'm mad because of the lack of updates. Just keep people informed. Hey, it's taking longer because of "insert whatever", once or twice a day. This is unrespectful for the whole community and BHVR should feel ashamed.

  • Inner Strength, Unbrakable, DS, Adrenaline.

There you have an anti-tunneling build if you hate it so much. You have options to avoid this situation.

DS is fine at it is now.

I think at least 6 or 7 perks were good. I didn't expect any less from a licensed chapter.

Some people don't have lecture comprehension. I agree, they're good. What i'm saying is they're not High rank material (mostly).

  • @indieeden7 said:

2 of the survivor perks literally allow you to heal yourself without wasting 32 seconds of time. Both are very good.

People don't heal (themselves) on high ranks.

With possibly nine new perks, I am concerned that at least one of them will break the game like MoM and DS did.

Are you confident that we have seen an end to perks coming out that will break the balance of the game? Would you prefer to see underpowered perks that get buffed later on?

I am concerned about 9 perks being useless. I don't really care having an op perk (surv or killer) as long as it changes the game a bit. I'm tired about the same perks over and over.

The last useful perk was head on and it's more about it being fun than useful.

I hope a perk like letting you instaheal a teammate when you're injured after being hooked twice for ex. rather than a perk letting you see the crows aura in a 36 meter radius for ex.

  • I would remove the sprint but made it heal 2 states (from dying to full health).

    1. His traps affect you while asleep. Even if they're just snares, not having to worry about them for the first hit in a chase helps.
    2. Waking up lets you see which pallets are real or fake.
    3. Each sleeping survivor decreases his projection cooldown.
    4. Depending on the add-ons used, his projection cooldown could be further reduced for each sleeping survivor, or action speed can be decreased for each sleeping survivor.

You can stay asleep if you want, but there's no point in not waking up if you can. Waking up does not make Freddy stronger and it only takes a few seconds.

You have either to go to the other side of the map (where the clock always spawn), or fail a skillcheck. It costs you more than a few seconds.

  • This. It is bugged (sometimes), i don't know how it is so hard to notice and work on it. I stopped using it because of his inconsistency.

  • Self care is not as common as it used to be. I don't run it since Legion and i'm doing ok.

  • @se05239 said:

MoM literally protects you from insta-down attacks while at full health now, it didn't before. So one of its counters has been removed.

    Wow, such nerf.

No, that's not gonna happen. Will need 3 protection hits and just activates if you're injured. The devs said it in the last Q&A. Yes, it's a big nerf.

  • WGLF for sure. Just make it the equivalent of BBQ, a perk which gives points plus a decent other thing, probably something related to saving or healing a teammate.

  • The image they show to everyone is that they're not professional. You can't throw things live and then change it a few weeks after so so so so so so often. What game does that? Just dbd. It's a very bad exclusive to have.

I know right? MoM was ######### OP. Now that it's become a perk that requires you to work for it and risk yourself, as well as making you protect your friends, people are saying it's dead.

It will be used on synergized SWF, it's dead for solo survs (on high ranks).

Protection hits should be "random", not a thing you force -talking in terms of efficiency in-game-. If you try to force them, you're more than likely losing time you could use to do gens, and i'm not even talking about the time you have to waste to heal after those free protection hits.

Ehm...as a survivor main,I have to say the perk variety is huge.

If you can only play using second chance perks, I think you need to improve your skills.

In fact i'm a rank 1 surv with +2k hours and 100% achievements (all DLC buyed)... so i kinda know what i'm saying and doing (i can be wrong, of course).

If you're interested, i'm currently using MoM, DS, Head On and BT. I will switch MoM for Adrenaline after the nerf, i'm not gonna die, i'm just disappointed for getting another bunch of perks unusable at high ranks... i'm just getting tired of the game and praying the devs to put some fresh air in it... but they just can't. Bad perks, bad killers... and when there's a new decent perk to use, they just kill it... starting to be too tired and disappointed to keep playing the game. I'm sad because with minor tweaks and decisions, it would be exciting, but it seems they just refuse to do that.

It shouldn't be too difficult to get your stacks. You can give it a try in the PTB, if you like. You can reliably get a stack by taking a hit when the killer is carrying a survivor to the hook, as well as a second stack by taking a hit near an injured survivor.

It is meant to be hard to get considering the powerful effect of the perk.

First of all, thanks for the answer, i appreciate the feedback you give. The PTB version it's fine, the only getting stacks from protection hits, it's not. I will be curious to see if people use it after it's released though; i may be wrong, but it's the way i see it.

At least i prefer a lot of other perks than this one if it requires 3 protection hits, same as Unbreakable. Sure it's great when you can use it, but how many matches it's unusable and you're playing with just 3 perks? Too many; same will happen -imo- with MoM.

  • @Peanits said:

Yes, that is exactly the case. It ended up being too easy to get stacks between safe unhooks and protection hits.

And now is too difficult, great balance... a couple of random guys will get you a decent solution in 5 min. I don't get why people getting paid just go on with "solutions" like this. Another trash perk to the list, i don't even remember the last usable survivor perk on high ranks, honestly. It's getting boring af to play the game ultimately, when there seems to come some fresh air... nope, back to the usual. Great.

  • The consensus around here seems to be that nurse is broken and unbeatable.

If a good nurse blinks at the right spot, you can't do anything, specially with 3 blinks. That's how broken she is in good hands.

If the killer is not that good, of course it's beatable and mind gaming going back works.

  • I love this game, and the things I'm about to say is for to see an improvement for the future, because let's face it, everything they presented was badly presented.

I would have been very disappointed if i watched it. If they want to do a special (which they aren't forced to do), it should show shocking things. Like actual decent gameplay of Freddy, a new map concept, some new cosmetics which we don't know about, maybe even the concept art from the next original killer... but just them talking is really disappointing. Glad i din't see it.

  • Nothing if he gets to the door before 60 seconds. Annyway you should try to go for the unhook guy before the hooked one, as most likely he will have BT anyway (not always, but is common).

  • @Visionmaker said:

Huntress Lullaby increases failed skill check regression before any tokens, so it is not powerless before first hook.

    Didn't know this.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    What exactly are you asking?

That the totems should appear to look like dull totems until the first hook?

Or survivors shouldn’t know they’re hexed till their first hook?

The totems should appear to look like dull totems until the first hook.

  • @Blueberry said:

    I agree.

    This happens A LOT.

I have regular SWF groups that will DC on every single game I get them after the match starts and they see I'm the killer. I don't camp, tunnel or anything and regardless of which killer I'm playing.

But you try to kill them. How dare you? /s

  • With the destroyer build and the best add-ons. Yes (imo).

Spirit Fury + Enduring + Bamboozle + Brutal Strength (or BBQ).

And add-ons the one which lets you see auras on invisible mode, the one that let your go super fast on inv. mode or the ones to cloack or reapear fast... he's really fun to play with if you put your bloodpoints on him. And the best is that he's funny to play with and against.

  • God please no. Top tier killers shouldn't be the boring ones that rely on a power to slow the game (Plague, Legion, actual Freddy, Pig). Hate that game mechanic. The killer should be able to track you down and down you, not force the surv. to mend, take out a helmet, drink from a fountain, escape the dream world... it's boring af.

Unpopular opinion: Wraith is the funniest killer to face as a survivor by a lot. Killers should be like him in terms of relying on chases and his ability to hit you rather than slowing the game down by forcing boring actions to do.

  • They want money to keep doing those cosmetics. I totally get it, so should you. If you want the new cosmetic NOW, pay; if you wait enough it will be buyable with shards.

  • I enjoy being camped with Insidious against leatherface from time to time, i find it funny. But yes, saves against a facecamper leatherface are literally impossible and frustrating. But it's they way it is, part of the diversity of the lore.

  • If they want to make it as hard as getting 3 protection hits, at least it should work against any kind of hit, not just M1. Chainsaws, hatches, etc. too.

It wouldn't be worth it anyway, but at least you would be guaranteed to take profit from it.

  • @Peanits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/487353#Comment_487353

This is true. If you wanted, you could get one stack each time someone gets downed. If all four survivors are running MoM, that could make it really difficult for the killer to get a hook while also building up MoM stacks.

So giving 3 free hits + having to heal 3 times because yes, it's worth an extra hit? I don't think so. If they change MoM to 3 protection hits it will become trash tier inmediately. I don't get the why there are so many useless and situational perks in the game. Barely 10% are worthy.

  • Tomorrow is the day.

  • I think it needs a slight buff. Something like "when you're the last survivor alive, the killer can't read the gates auras for 10 seconds after closing the hatch" for example".

  • At this point they're obviously waiting for the servers to start punishing DC's.

  • @UncannyLuck said:

I think the suggested NoED change would be too strong - when would you ever not run that? Like, what other 4 perks would you choose over running that?

I don't think it's reasonable to call Remember Me situational since a killer will either: A) make it to the end game, or B) not have needed the perk to make it to the end game. And once you're in the end game, unless your Obsession is a master of disconnection or stealth, you're likely getting something out of it. If this perk was increased like that, they wouldn't be able to do something like make EGC start when all gens are powered since you could easily make it mathematically impossible to win - just something to keep in mind.

I think it's a good idea, just make it usable only when there are still 4 survs alive (maybe 3 too?) when the last gen is done. Otherwise it won't do anything.

  • 100? Wow, on PC it's 20 and i consider it too much; it sucks. Best you can do is using iridescent and aim to a hooked surv. or be friendly and get someone on a gen. Doing it playing "normal" it's... well, absurdly hard, specially using a controller.

  • What they are saying to everyone is that you better not buy any DLC with money because, as good as it might seem, they can nerf it in a few weeks. So yeah, i'm 100% achivements and have all DLC but that's it. If you can't test a perk before launching it, you are telling what kind of work you are doing. It's highly unprofessional to do that on a daily basis.

  • Imo the doors should be at red light 1, in that way it's more difficult for killers to know at which door you are waiting and only know for certain you are there when you get the 2nd light.

  • @Orion said:

Remember folks buyer beware. MoM is useless if:

    • You don't escape, then mend each time your hit
    • You don't find someone to mend you
    • You don't find a med kit to mend yourself with
    • You didn't bring a med kit with you to mend yourself with
    • You didn't take Self Care as a perk
    • Your up against a Killer with Nurses Calling
    • You don't get rescued / de-hook yourself
    • Your up against a Killer who face camps
    • Your up against a Killer who tunnels
    • Your up against an M2 Killer
    • Your up against an M1 Killer abusing the Surprise attack MoM exemption bug
    • Your up against a Killer who uses Noed.
    • Your Claudette

Now armed with the correct knowledge about your purchase, enjoy MoM!

The most of the time is useless because you escape before using it or you die on your 1st/2nd hook. The rest is the perk not being useful because the killer uses M2.

    @Pizzaman

Because that is what the perk is supposed to do. We are running the perks for a specific reason. If you do not have the perk equipped, then too freaking bad.

Again, sorry that you DC to deny players of some extra BPs out of a perk they happen to be running. This would be a fair compensation for rage quits and when players fail to load in.

@SnakeSound222 Thank you! Exactly my thoughts.

  • @Pizzaman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/470714#Comment_470714

And that's exactly what it isn't. People without BBQ/WGLF won't be able to capitalize, so it's not balanced and fair. But you probably alread read that.

"People without BBQ/WGLF won't be able to capitalize". Obviously, as it is now.

What's the issue with giving the stack? Are you mad people gain more BP with that perks? Use them. You don't use them, why do you care if they get a stack or not? It's a way to compensate people who use a perk about gaining BP to not be affected by a DC, as it's not their fault.

If you want to DC, fine, but give me my stack. That makes DC's less powerful for people using those perks, as they gain something with the DC; right now, you only lose, that's why they (quitters) do it ,as they now they're annoying the killer/survs. It's their way to say "fck you" for whatever reason.

  • @Pizzaman said:

I like that at least both sides were considered (nice! finally!). BUT.

I don't see a reason why either side should get a stack. What exactly did they do to deserve the stack? Earn stacks by hooking survivors or unhooking them. If there's nobody else to hook/unhook you don't get stacks. The concept is pretty easy to understand.

Also why should only people with certain perks get "something" for a DC? In the end it would just be another bitter-sweet band-aid fix for a certain group of people (those who run the mentioned perks).

    This should not be considered.

Because DC and quitters should be punished, not the other way around. If the killer just tries to play the game and wants to get the 4 stacks, he shouldn't be punished because a selfish survivor decided to quit before he can even hook him.

If DC gives a stack, there's one less reason for a surv. to DC, as some of them do that in purpose to fck the killer not letting them get the stack.

  • @ClogWench said:

I'd say give killer a BBQ stack and give survivor a WGLF stack

    Fair.

  • Agreed, it's unfair for the killer.

  • tl;dr. Legion is a Wraith without the cloaking ability. His power is just useful when you see 2+ survs, and maybe it isn't even in that situation.

  • @SlinkyJinky said:

@Trotfoxx what perks would use use in place of MoM just out of curiosity?

A lot of matches I've found myself thinking MoM was a wasted perk slot as well is all.

@SlinkyJinky Well, i'm thinking of Borrowed Time / Decisive Stike / Unbreakable, but i'm still thinking about which perk is more worthy as most of the time it goes unused. Probably Borrowed is the most worthy, specially since the last buff.

  • @tt_ivi_99 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/470140#Comment_470140

    @Trotfoxx

So your reasoning on why the perk is not useful is because you have to waste something like 32 seconds of healing if you find a teammate, you gain way more than that in a chase if you know what you're doing...

You gain if you heal yourself for in-game reasons. Like being healed after being hooked or after losing, while injured, the killer in-chase (and then healing). But giving away a free hit just to force it to work is a waste of time imo.

  • @tt_ivi_99 said:

It doesnt always activate because you dont want to.

Against M2 all you have to do is tank a hit when the killer is carring a survivor.

If you really hate tunneling or camping then use perks to counter them and you'll see that you can use the perk without any problems.

If you leave by the gates then it's because you didnt even need the perk, so that's on your favour.

If i give free hits to the killer to force the activation, then i have to waste time healing myself, which counteracts the utility of MoM, which is make a chase longer. If i waste the time that i get from make a chase longer, healing, what's the point?

  • @SunderMun said:

    >pretending lack of variety wasn't an issue before MoM

This. They should try to kind of buff the rest of killers, perhaps giving a bit more speed to the less powerful ones would do it.

  • It's waaaaay more difficult and you need to use the best add-ons every match, but still possible. But yeah, it was better before the update.
