Eruption is healthy for the game, because it encourages killers to chase after survivors that immediately run away from all the unrepaired generators. Without eruption, killers are often encouraged to just let these survivors run away, and excessively defend their generators until a survivor messes up and is caught out of position.
I can only speak for myself but I very rarely see that kind of thing happen. The vast majority of time as survivor when I go up against someone running Eruption is they chase you off the gen, kick it, then patrol the gens again. They basically just keep wandering to each gen to kick them until a survivor gets bored or greedy that they can easily take down, which then causes Eruption to go off and hamstring anyone trying to get the gen done.

Eruption is single handily making me play less and less survivor now. It's just so painfully boring to go against, especially as so many killers running it pick out their 3 gen right away and defend the hell out of it.
Feels like there's nothing I can do about it but more importantly it turns games into a boring slog.

I've had players do the same thing to me
If they want me to do absolutely nothing as the killer, then I can show them the same kindness and now they don't get to do anything as a survivor. They can lie there and think about why they're on time out in the corner.

Honestly I never bought it because I saw it like one of those games that comes out and then gets forgotten by everyone (it's kinda what happened) but if it goes free to play it might have another chance! I'll definitely try it and see how it is.
It seems to be doing well enough with keeping a player base so they must be doing something right. I just found it painfully boring as most matches I found the demon was pretty impotent for the vast majority of the match. Sucks to spend 20 minutes doing a whole lotta nothing as the demon throwing rocks at Superman just waiting and hoping you get the kryptonite gun unlocked before it's too late.
But free is free so you might as well try it for yourself

I assume it's an automated reward system so if you got the error at some point during the event, you'd get the "rewards". But that's just my assumption based on the wording of this post and how it would have worked in the past (like Bubba losing his masks, presumably they have a system in place to track who actually played as Bubba and who didn't since people who didn't have Bubba didn't get anything).

Yeah, I've never really felt like this before and I'm honestly not sure what it is.
I've been playing for quite a long time (relatively at two and a half years now) so maybe at this point it's just natural or if all these changes have just made the game very...stale (while the meta change was great, all it did was shift the meta to a bunch of really boring gen slowdown perks that really screws over solo queue players like myself). As a survivor, I'm constantly getting curb stomped but because it's all gen slowdown perks, it's a boring curb stomping (like....death by a thousand paper cuts curb stomping). As killer, I'm finding less and less challenge as either the game thinks I'm bad and keeps putting me against bad survivors or I've somehow hit a point where I'm just really good (unlikely but always possible!).
The Halloween Event was super fun and I played a bunch of it as the side quests made it so that I could get curb stomped and still have lots of fun but without it, the cracks the game was showing are becoming wider and wider...

A killer who is tunneling is gonna tunnel regardless of the hook count
Having a hook count will allow me to let survivors go when multiple BPS are used without me having to risk feeling bad if I inadvertently take one down. I do my best to make sure I don't but it's easy to lose track of which Dwight I've hooked twice and which one I hooked once and a pain in the butt having to look at the counter and figuring out how many hook states are left when I'm unsure sucks.
I've never heard a good reason why killers don't get that info while survivors do.

What is it that you wish BHVR did? They added EGC so they couldn't stall out the game forever.
Personally I just walk away and let them tbag each other. You can also chase them out if you don't want to wait.
It would be nice if some members of this community could win with some grace but whatcha gonna do?

In pre-hatch rework, I still wouldn't care UNLESS they did a last second switch, in which case it became my goal to make sure they didn't escape.
But nowadays, they can run keys and maps all day long and I don't really care

It's an absolutely brutal perk for solo queue because as a solo queue player, not only do I not have any way to know when it's about to pop, I also am always cursed with three potatoes on my team who can last approx 7 seconds in a chase before going down, causing Eruption to go off. Killer comes to my gen, kicks it, takes out another potato in 7 seconds, and the cycle repeats.
Such a frustrating perk that punishes solo just a little bit extra because solo queue isn't allowed to have nice things

They're pretty easy to do. You actually can run so I'm not sure why the description of them implies you can't.
Basically you can't get hit, fast vault, or fall from a "great height" (I'm not sure what it considers great so just go down the stairs instead of jumping down them).
Once you put the glyph in the basement, the challenge is done. However if you do escape with the mirror, (which isn't fragile so the only way to lose it is to drop it yourself or get hit by Franklin's) it gives you 25,000 bonus BP so personally I do not go after the White Glyph until I am confident I will be escaping.

That picture you had posted earlier when I asked how you could tell them apart was basically just their back
Now that I can see more of their front, they're super easy to tell apart now.
Unless all you can see is cuteness, then it would be impossible to tell them apart since they're both equally super cute!

In that cats defense, that was their bed on the Roomba it looks like so the owner placed it (or likely the cat while they were in the bed) on it.

I don't think that would work thematically at all. Not to mention that BHVR gutted the bonus BP from WGLF and BBQ specifically because they didn't want people running perks for extra BP.
Then as a survivor, I'd be irked to end up in a game where we don't actually really get to play because the killer has a Blue Farmers Tan...

Some players play the way they want, regardless of offerings and whatnot. Maybe they find winning at all cost fun. Maybe they think it's the most effective way to win and winning is all they care about over having fun. Maybe they're just a jerk who does this to ruin other people's day.

As a killer, I've had plenty of times where I was walking around the area because I saw something, think I saw something, or maybe sometimes just have a weird hunch at the time. Walk around the locker a bunch and then finally decide to take a look in it.
Maybe I would have just walked past this time. Maybe I would search the locker this time. Either direction, the survivor in the locker has to decide what kind of gamble to take.

Lucky for me, Holly is content with sleeping in my lap rather than wanting pets. Heck, I've determined if Holly is in my lap and I need to go to the bathroom or something, all I need to do is to start petting her. She loves it...for about five minutes and then decides she's had enough of this and leaves :D
