There are no second chance perks. Every "second chance" perk exists to counter a strategy. BT to counter camping. DS to counter tunneling. Though granted the DS timer is a bit long.
-
This community is really weird sometimes...
-
I don't have an issue with him personally. But I believe it's because almost every Freddy plays exactly the same. They run a Forever Freddy build and tunnel off the hook. At least that's what I usually get with Freddy's. When there seems to be literally one playstyle it gets pretty stale.
-
You just pointed out how rarely your gf plays. These people could easily be in the same boat. I don't play often enough to reach or maintain a high rank. The people in the matches you mentioned could be the same. Not saying people don't smurf. But it's not the only explanation.
-
I have no idea honestly. I have messages turned off. So I never get into people's genders. I will say that based on the forums, there seem to be a fair number of lady gamers. Also this game seems to have a large gay community as well. I noticed there seemed to be a large gay community when I played F13 as well. I wonder if horror is just really popular within that community.
-
Yeah people are ridiculous.
-
Because Sabo is still bad. The only reason to run it is for dailies or to meme.

Just give survivors another recover bar after the first one to get healed to injured.
That was actually what I was going to suggest. But I think it needs to take 60 to 90 seconds.
-
It does seem small. But I need to see more of him before I can say for sure.
-
Of course he struggled with a new killer. It takes time to learn how to play a new killer properly. I was watching Marth struggle alot with Deathslinger last night. As the evening progressed he got a better feel for the new killer. I don't disagree that the early game needs to be slowed a bit. But you act like every game is filled with veteran rank 1 survivors.
-
Really interesting stats. I'm kind of amazed that Bubba had that high of a pick rate.
-
Damn. That's a big drop. I think 16 was a bit too much. But 6 was way too far.
-
I'd wait for a sale if you don't play often. If you do decide to go ahead and get one, I'd say Doc. Pop and those other perks will hit the shrine eventually. May as well get the killer you enjoy.

what's the point of holding onto 1 million bloodpoints? i don't get it.. there's only one thing to do with them.. do it
If you want to prestige a character for one thing. It would be nice to be able to just power through it without worrying about the cap. Also the people who want new Dlc characters to have good perks quickly.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, and there's not really a trend to bloodhunts. Even if you do spot what might be a pattern between them, I wouldn't hold your breath for it. It wouldn't be the first time a pattern has been broken.
One thing you guys might consider is having a blood hunt everytime a new chapter releases. It would help add a little hype to new releases.
-
Just play who you want and don't worry about the tally screen. Killer can be stressful, and unfun if you let it. I used to worry so much about how I did in a match. Now I just play whatever killer I want and don't worry about the results.
-
I hated pre rework Doc. I actually enjoy new Doc alot. Though I do dislike his chase music.
-
It's fine as is. Though if they made it so you could stack up tokens I'd be ecstatic. It's probably best they don't though. You'd have the one ######### in every match who cleansed every totem. I'd be that #########.
-
Honestly they should just eliminate the cap. Both for matches and the total you can have.
-
I don't know about God Tier. But I'd say it's definitely underrated.
-
Honestly both sides can be pretty hostile towards each other. Though I would agree on the average the killers seem quicker to be hostile.
-
They broke down 4 man swf and solo. I don't remember if 2 and 3 man was covered. I do remember solo was over 50%. Which means around 40% is 2 and 3 man swf. My guess is of the 40% it's majority 2 man.

Some would, but unfortunately I think you're giving the community too much credit by generalising there. I suspect that a lot or even most of those who dodge specific killers, or would dodge them if this were implemented, do so because they never learned to play against that killer and think they're "too OP". I can easily imagine people dodging killers like Spirit, Oni, Freddy, Hag and even Nurse or Billy for that reason.
Oh some certainly would. But I know given a choice, I'd rather face Freddy, Billy, or even Spirit than I would Plague, or Legion. I honestly believe people would dodge killers because they find annoying far more than because their powerful.

Stop being the obsession.
Pretty sure that's not how that works.
-
No. Both sides are over dramatic about the game. Both sides cry and stomp their feet about how something is broken. Which is not to say there aren't issues. But they are usually overblown.

It's fairly rare for people playing a casual game like DBD to be the type who enjoy a challenge, so many will take the easy way out if presented with that option, regardless of what role they're playing. And even if they don't dodge, it makes sense to use all the information at your disposal to be as prepared as possible for the match ahead, which in this case would just be too great an advantage.
I think people dodge killers they find miserable to face far more than ones they find a challenge. I personally despise Plague. I've never had a fun game against one. While I love facing Billy. He's honestly the perfect killer to me.

All killers you've listed are licensed and must be bought with real currency, so it's not strange that newbies never play them. Buying killers with ingame currency isn't quite cheap as well, and starting choice of simple killers is pretty limited. But I would expect a lot of Wraiths (OMG OP permanent invisibility1), not Huntresses.
Not really. I got into this game because you could play as Michael Myers. I bought the game and the Dlc at the same time. Granted this won't apply to more casual gamers. But I'd bet a fair few did the same thing I did.
-
I think that's a bit much. I wouldn't mind an expanded Shrine though. Maybe keep it having 4 perks. But have a separate shrine for killer and survivor.
-
I'd pass on both personally.
-
Oh Tofu, Puppers, Monto, Otz, they're all pretty chill in my opinion.

I think "Spine Chill" is very underrated, but i prefer "Iron Will", because it is more versatile in combination with a flashlight. Just a personal preference tho. Both perks act in the same area.
I understand completely. For a while the combo of Iron Will and Spine Chill were fixed slots for me.

the fact is simple : you can run only 4 perks and spine chill is not in the top 4
p.s: anyway spine chill is a good perk
Oh I understand people choosing to run something different. Of course the top 4 meta perks are pretty meh to me. So that also influences my choices.
-
It still amazes me how many people don't see the value in Spine Chill. It's incredibly useful in almost every situation.

NOED didn't use to be a hex perk. Would you like it to go back to that?
Yes, actually I would. I've suggested in the past it should be on a timer. Each hook would earn a stack. Each stack would add to the timer. You'd then have a perk that helps the killer in the end game that rewards them for playing well. The better they play, the more powerful it becomes. It has the added benefit of being no longer in the survivors hands.

Yeah but now its pretty close especially if new sabotage comes out wanna never be able to even hook a survivor because oops another survivor saboed the hook right infront of you. Unfortunate.
It really isn't. On top of the things I mentioned you had old DS, Insta heals, hooks that stayed broken, and a bunch more. Like I said, these were needed nerfs. But the game isn't even remotely close to when it was at it's worst.
-
Uhh survivor is not easier than it's ever been. Pallet vacuum, literal infinite loops, old BnP just to name a few nerfs. Not that they weren't needed. But it's definitely not easier than ever.

Tables will turn next week. Level 4 has "Mori 3 survivors" as their first challenge.
So they went from a miserable challenge to a miserable challenge. Joy.
-
Yeah, this was not a good idea for a challenge. Killers ######### about keys nonstop already.

Survivors telling me I'm a trash Killer or that I make X killer look bad never fazes me because I already know I'm not a good Killer. Just makes it easy to point out that they're even worse if they lost to me. ;)
I have messages turned off because I don't feel the need to deal with those kind of people. Of course the fact that I know I'm bad makes killer enjoyable for me. When you don't worry about piping or getting the 4k games are enjoyable.
-
I thi k most of the unwritten rules can be summed up as don't go out of your way to make the game miserable for the other side. I don't get mad at a killer who camps me when the gates are powered. And I don't blame a survivor using strong perks and loops. It's when they are clearly trying to make your game miserable that I get upset.
-
Nope. I've always known I'm a bad killer.
-
I main survivor because I enjoy the close calls when hiding from the killer. Also my eyesight and hearing aren't the best. So that makes killer more difficult for me.

it's more the fact that they knew we expected the patch today as it has mostly always been 2 weeks after the ptb went live and did not tell us until less than 24 hrs and also the fact metacritic leaked the march 10 date and the devs still waited until the last second before confirming it some people have busy lives and schedule things around it i mean i would not be surprised if all the streamers and youtubers set there plans aside to get footage of the patch.
its nice that they have given us a date but they could have been a bit more punctual about it. we want them to communicate and tell us these things not give us nothing but silence, i miss the days when they would do a dev stream every week not once a month even if there was not much to talk about it made it feel like they were actually engaging with us
This. I agree with the OP that people shouldn't get mad when they are assuming a release date. But you'd think when BHVR is well aware of that assumption they could just tell us as soon as they know if it won't drop when expected.
-
Honestly if they just moved it to two protection hits it'd be okay.
-
Plague, Legion, Ghostface. None of them are particularly strong. I've just had almost no fun games with them. All three of their powers are annoying. They're also usually extremely tunnel heavy.
-
Why would you bother. People will try Sabo for a week. Realize it's still crap, and move on.
-
I don't think gens themselves go too fast. It's more a matter of the early game goes so quick it's hard to comeback from it. If they could find a way to slow the early game a bit I think that would help alot.
-
Pretty much this. Though I don't think you have to play both sides evenly to maintain a fairly balanced perspective.
-
The game has had issues with sounds for a very long time. Which tells me they still can't figure out why. Thinking they simply ignore killer issues is ludicrous.

So, you're like the flatearther of the measurement units? you know the metric is WAY better, but you just don't want to aknowledge it?
Ok, I know it probably feels like an attack on you and on what you've learned as a child and somehow you have to be defensive. Somehow this bothers you, since you engaged in this discussion as soon as someone mentioned it and it bothered you that I "took a tangent" to say something you apparently don't like. But this is not the case, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings or something, the metric system is superior. In fact, I don't think the metric is superior, it's just that the imperial is SO inferior, like you have crazy units and relation that don't really make sense. Sorry mate, the metric is better, don't take it personal.
Uhh I was more baffled that you had that much emotional investment in the metric system.
