Because if you play to the emblem system ranking up isn't that hard. Killer is harder do some missteps in how the emblem system works.
-
There are no toxic killers, or survivors for that matter. Only toxic players. I suppose you could argue certain killers and survivors draw in toxic players though.
-
No. Spine Chill is absolutely fine as is.
-
Let's not pretend that it's all about the ranking system. Most of them it's an ego thing. I don't disagree that the emblem system needs adjustment. But it has nothing to do with most killers feel they deserve the 4k.
-
A Mori no. I suppose the could add something to give the killer a free addon. But that might be broken.

It's gone up 5% when it really is needing a nerf.
It does not need a nerf. Nobody uses it as is.

Nor is there a reason for the gate to be a secure safe haven for survivors.
It's not. You can be downed in the exit normally. Hence no need for a buff.
-
No. There's no reason to give the killer free downs in the gate.
-
Most of the time to be jerks. Though sometimes it's to draw the killers attention to help a teammate.

“Unrelated” no legion is very related it’s his tome for the mid chapter and he did receive a change so that makes it related just admit you guys don’t care about legion because it’s obvious you don’t
Will it make you feel better if I admit I don't care about Legion? They're useless and need to be reworked from the ground up.
-
I'll never understand why everyone just accepts anecdotal evidence as fact. We don't know the number of killers to survivor. Let alone how many red rank killers there are. Add to this that match making has been a known issue for months. I think it's assuming a bit much.
I will add that if there is a shortage of red rank killers. I would assume it's because the emblem system really doesn't make much sense for killer.

im all for different threads, its sure damn annoying to see every post about nerfing something because they dont like it etc. but i honesty dont see any more progression being made my trying to overly sexualize characters, having ideas and discussions about prosthetic limbs etc. or just new types of survivors in general are cool and interesting but people shouldnt be focused on tits, ass etc. the characters are what they are and they dont all need to be sexually attractive, hell give me a fat geeky guy that snorts as he gets hit, i want a range of characters not similar looking ones.
Pretty sure this was just supposed to be a light hearted topic. No need to take it so seriously.
-
It's definitely an interesting thought. But I think it would be likely to be overpowered. If we assume a 24m TR M&A knocks it down to 16. Which is really tiny. Then I'd personally run Brutal, Enduring, Spirit Fury. Depending on the map, you get easy hits because they were out of position. Or you shred through pallets like they're nothing.
As a side question. What the killer addons do? At this point there power is always active. So addons would have no use.
While interesting, I'd say it's probably a really bad idea.
-
No it doesn't.

seriously though, how are you hindering your build by taking infantry belt ?? you only have to be an average shot and you're going to down survivors.
Because you can't use any of her windup addons.

theres no drawback to being able to instantly down survivors at range
You lose 4 hatchets. Meaning you have to run infantry belt to compensate. Which limits your build options. And as I already mentioned, weaker Huntress players need those extra hatchets.

But that makes you a bad player. Maybe not in such harsh terms. But players that are afraid to take chases and hide lead to the same people being in numerous chases. Which leads to them dying and the stealth players being left alone to get slaughtered.
If I waste 20 seconds of the killers time while they search for me, how is that different than 20 seconds of chase? And in the event that I get caught that's that much more of their time I wasted. People that prefer stealth play aren't scared of chases. They just don't actively seek them.
-
The problem with this is it punishes stealthy playstyles. If I manage to completely evade the killer when they come to check on my gen I'd be considered a bad player under this system.
-
I prefer Q&Q or Head On over Lithe. But that's just me.
-
Uhh Iri hatchets have a large draw back. Especially if the Huntress player isn't very good.
Mori's used to kill after your first down. I do think they need a bit of a rework. But it used to be far worse.
DS was not created for anti tunnel. It was made to extend your first chase. It eventually became an anti tunnel perk. All be it with a bit too generous of a timer.
-
Jesus. This again. How many different ways can it be said match making is messed up before people get it? Killers have never been in a better spot than they are now. Nearly everything they've complained about for years has been nerfed. Pretty much all that's left is maps and DS. The devs continue to work on the maps to balance out unfair structures. Leaving DS. Which I agree needs a nerf. Ffs killers have never had it easier and they're still bitching.
-
Most Freddy players are boring to face. They run the same slow down build. Alot of the time camp or tunnel. Also his lunge always feels unfair. I know it's not. But it just looks off. Add in they're usually pretty sweaty and it becomes pretty unfun.
In short it's not really Freddy. It's the players that tend to use him. Obviously not all. But alot of them.

I'm not saying this is a good change, it has many flaws, but I was pointing out the fact that many survivors are claiming survivors always get nerfs when in actual fact it's the opposite way round.
Besides god loops, when was the last huge killer buff or survivor nerf that effects trials.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/015/JUEUZFB77PU5.png
Also yes P3 50 Claudette at rank 1, definitely new to the game and not a player who is unbiased.
It's hardly the opposite way around. Both sides rant and rave about the other side needing nerfs and demanding buffs. Both sides complain they're being nerfed into the ground. In reality they've been getting pretty equal treatment. At least from my view.
As for the OP. I honestly have no idea. I haven't read anything in the ptb notes that make me think there's anything unfair. The only thing that concerns me is the pallet nerf inside the Crotus Penn asylum map. That building is definitely unfair. But the rest of the map is also not very survivor friendly either.
-
It's definitely arguably unfair. The only reason I don't see it as completely unfair is chests are a complete crap shoot as to what you get. Yeah, you sometimes get a dull or skeleton key. Others you get a broken key.
-
@Fibijean said:
The short answer is, they don't.
Every time a new patch comes out that contains more buffs for one side than the other, people start complaining about a double standard that doesn't exist. If anything, the frequency of changes which inspire this kind of reaction in players on both sides would suggest that neither side is actually favoured over the other when it comes to balancing.
Pretty much this. There have been tons of buffs and nerfs to both sides over the games life.
-
Faking the pickup helps alot. If they want the save they have to commit at that time. At that point I slug and go for the person with the flashlight. Also facing a wall during pickup.
-
God no. Pick the strongest pallet on any given map. Now multiple it by 5. Because you'd deal with it 5 times a match. Don't get me wrong. The concept is cool. But it's completely unbalanced.
-
Prove Thy Self helps to max out objective points fast so you can focus on the other categories if BP is you goal. As was already mentioned WGLF will double whatever you get. Totems are also fast and easy points. Unless you escape survival is always a weak category unfortunately. Healing yourself is about the only thing for survival points.
-
Otzdarva is a Trapper main.
Ohtofu is a Billy main.
Scott Jund was an Oni main.
-
Gross. I hope it's not them.
-
I've seen both sides get things they wanted. Mostly because they were generally good for the game. Not that there haven't been plenty of questionable decisions as well.
-
Nobody really liked Ruin. Killer or survivor. I think the current Ruin is fine. I'd rather they come up with something to slow the early game a bit. Not a perk. But something that would be a base part of the game.
-
Why not run both?

The fact you consider any non-meta build a "meme" build is the problem.
If I want to run a skill check hell build on Doctor.. Distressing/Unnerving Presence/Overcharge/Pop(or Lullaby).. game's over in 3-4 chases even though it should theoretically be an entertaining build. Sure I can run it, have a horrible time and get Brutal/Displeased.
That's the game's way of telling me to choose 4 of 6 useful perks, out of 50.
And you're trying to argue that's not proving my point of the game being stale?
Obviously they're not all meme builds. But, like I said. The meta perks are meta for a reason. Using anything else will naturally be less effective. My point was to focus on having fun when you run something less effective. I don't disagree that many perks need attention. But until they get it there's not much to be done.
-
I don't really understand why you would expect a meme build to not cause you issues. The point of running them is to have fun goofing around. To try new things. Naturally they won't be as effective. I'm not saying there aren't issues that need addressed. There clearly are. But meta perks are meta for a reason. You can't choose to not run them and expect it not to negatively impact your results.
-
Oh this was supposed to be a joke? I thought something had broke with my game. I reloaded it to double check.

"When the rift first came out we were told completing the tomes would be enough to finish the rift." This was never said. You can do basic math to see that the Rift Fragments are nowhere near enough to complete the full Rift.
Regarding the Grind, not everyone has to finish the Rift. Like, even when not reaching Tier 70, there is quite a lot of Stuff to get for the 1000 Auric Cells (including most of the Auric Cells back).
And well, Rift Extension... Lets say the Devs give a extension of 5 days now. Then, after 4 days the next guy will show up and wants an extension... Makes no sense at all.
I think part of the reason to not extend it is because they don't want people to be able to repeatedly pay for the next rift with the same cells. I think they should extend the time complete it all the way until the next rift starts. With the caveat that the cells are only available for the first 70 days. That would give the people who are trying to grind for cosmetics a little more time. I'd even argue more people would probably feel they got their monies worth that way.
-
Not a killer main, but no. If I see prestige skins I assume they are at least reasonably competent but that's it. I don't treat them any different. Aside from assuming they won't fall for simple tricks.

Actually, the issue OP has is getting DS'd when he's not tunneling at all. Scott Jund, Otz, and a few other streamers will hard tunnel if they get DS'd whilst not even coming close to tunneling.
Which is just petty. If I have DS up (which I never actually use) why would I not use it? It's ridiculous to me that people expect either side to deliberately handicap themselves. Tunneling feels scummy, but if you have no other targets it's understandable. If I get caught at 59 seconds it would be silly not to use DS.
-
Liked? No. That's pretty much impossible. Every person has the killers they don't enjoy facing. I think it generally has nothing to do with the killers strength either. I personally can't stand Plague, but enjoy Billy.
-
I mean, that was basically F13. Especially early in the games life. Being chosen to be Jason was relatively rare depending on your luck, and it felt special. I kinda miss that. You still had counselor mains. But the hostility was less.
-
Complains about keys while bringing an Ebony Mori....
-
Honestly it depends on how you look at it. The original experiment proved that if you put 4 very good and coordinated survivors against most killers the killer loses. But these are also fringe cases. So many things have changed since then it's hard to say that it's still valid. Though I'd guess the results would be pretty similar today.

When I do not tunnel, I want to hook Survivors as fast as possible because the gen speed is awful and ignored by those developers. But I get punished for that, heavily. I get punished for trying to hook Survivors even If I don't tunnel them but this Survivor, probably deliberately, wants me to be stunned.
This is such an obvious thing..
I get that. But you get nearly as much pressure by slugging them.

Apparently DS is so OP the survivor can do three gens and open the gate all in 60 seconds.
Pretty much. I do think the timer needs a nerf. But they act like DS costs them every game.
-
I only consider it gen rush if there's at least two tool boxes. Even then I'm not sure I'd consider that gen rush anymore given how useless toolboxes are now.
-
Uhh what is the wrong reason? If it's still active why wouldn't you use it?

Awww, look at the cute noob who doesn't know about the overwhelming amount of survivors who use DS to run straight at and harass the killer after getting unhooked.
So smack them to the ground and move on. I swear killers act like they are completely helpless.
-
At this point they're just one more useless thing clogging up my blood webs.
-
Part of it is going to be alot of people don't play anybody but their mains. Another part of it is she's kinda terrible. Her perks are pretty useless outside of fringe cases or memes. Her cosmetics are pretty meh. And her back story is boring. Add all those together and it's no surprise really.
