  • I think it's your job AS ANOTHER PLAYER IN THE GAME to have some good sportsmanship and be aware of when you might be intentionally or unintentionally being a bad sport. This goes for everyone in the game. I've been survivor with purple flashlight in a game with a killer that was playing with good sportsmanship, and I ended up only using it on him twice because I didn't want to spoil his game; once to blind him as he broke a pallet so I could (desperately) get out of the chase and again in a failed attempt to save a guy that was on his last hook (ie. he still got hooked). Didn't just gen rush either, just did my 1 gen for the emblem then went for totems and stuff and took my time going for the next.

Killers think that being the 'bad guy' according to the lore that gives them the right to be a complete ######### to survivors JUST BECAUSE they are the killer. Newsflash, it's a game so show good sportsmanship. If the game REQUIRES you to tunnel or camp or do whatever cheesey thing killers will do, then it's acceptable and if survivors get mad at you THEY are being the bad sport. And if you tunnel one guy all game then pick him up for the last hook, don't get mad when you get hit with a flashlight or body blocked because then YOU are being a bad sport since they are just doing what they should do in that situation. Also just because the last group were bad sports doesn't mean the next group will be.

I've straight up got a 4k, last guy is on my shoulder I carry him to the hatch and let him have it. WHY? Because it was a fun game, and every survivor played well (tho obv not too well) and had good sportsmanship. I still 2 pip, it's what a good sport would do. Granted killers are not obligated to do this sort of stuff, but my point is you don't need to play like a jerk all the time.

  • Thank you both for the feedback. @MinusTheBillie I won't disagree they are 'kooky', it is just IMO the game is better with more perks like this because it mixes up the meta. If a perk is really strong, it should have some costs to it though. DS, for example, has no cost other than you have a higher chance to be the obsession, which isn't really a big deal. The new version the devs mentioned is a bit more of a risk/reward, since if you are not the obsession it will almost be worthless to use, but I think a perk like DS would be totally acceptable if there was a higher cost to using it. Maybe obsessions get faster hook progression or something.

Actually, with god addons (not good, god) he's more than viable at high ranks. And I don't see how he's not fun to play against, HE CAN"T CAMP, WHY DO YOU EVEN COMPLAIN!?

This is true. Black Box + Dying Light + green/pink mori + Ruin = Full gen lockdown. Throw on Thanatophobia, Pop Goes the Weasel, and Class Photo for good measure. Very costly, but probably unbeatable build. The only thing that can ruin your day is a shroud or just them spawning close together at the start. But as long as DL is dead before Ruin is gone the game is yours.

  • Was that recently? I can't just have gotten 1 map 9 times in a row. If it's 50/50 I should have gotten it at least once.

  • A killer choosing to not play with survivors for whatever reason is valid because the worst it does it make you have to search for another game (oh boo hoo). A survivor switching last second is not valid because the killer is locked into something they didn't agree to play.

  • Yellow Flashlight + Urban Evasion + Spine Chill

Heartbeat doesn't matter. You can move around as much as you want without setting off traps, and you can destroy traps if you need to. If Hag can't teleport back to the hook then MYC is worthless because she's slow.

  • It's all being tested apparently. The want to examine the entire endgame or something, so hatch might completely change. IMO they should just make it so killer can close the hatch, and the LAST survivor can pick the lock to open it again. If the survivor finishes another generator then it opens again and can't be shut for something like 30 seconds. If it gets shut again, rinse repeat until survivor dies, escapes through hatch, or powers the doors.

Dont twist it, I fully meant it should be possible sand not oppressively difficult to perform perkless against a fully decked killer

So you expect to just be amazing against a fully decked killer? GTFO dude. First it's not "oppressively difficult" it's easy. Stay out of line of sight, don't run, and know where the killer is. That's all you need to be stealthy. When you are on a gen and hear a heartbeat, against normal killers like Trapper the moment you hear it you have a little over 7 seconds to move. 7 [BAD WORD] SECONDS. If you can't walk away behind a block or something and not get found with 7 seconds I don't know how to help you. That is half a totem dude that's like forever in this game. Maybe don't stay by a 90% gen when the killer kicks it because they will be really searching the area for you. Just walk away, go somewhere else. Stealth achieved, ez pz.

I’ve only lost dozen or so survivors in my entire career, I’m a rank 1 killer... there is a definite problem.

Wow, you must be such an amazing killer. It couldn't be that 95% of the survivor player base is too incompetent to understand stealth?

Also by "lost" survivors you mean in a chase? Yea THAT IS NOT A TIME FOR STEALTH. I said this multiple times now, stealth is 100% viable BEFORE YOU ARE FOUND. I will bet you any amount of money, that you have had at least 100 survivors right next to you hiding and you just walked right past them. You would never even know the real number because you didn't know they were there. A survivor could be standing behind that 1 rock you didn't check thoroughly enough.

    Get your ego in check.

It’s literally survivors trump to dodging. Only reason killers are host is because it’s simple, and cheap, don’t let it get to your head.

Actually no it's a cowards way to play. Killers dodge, no doubt, but when you get the one killer that doesn't dodge that actually means something. It means he won't be a pushover, he sees your p3 Claudette with a flashlight. He knows it's purple and you have DS. He doesn't care, he hits 'ready up' anyway.

You want killer that are pushover. You want the ones that would normally dodge you because you know that killer won't be as good as the one that doesn't dodge.

And if you don't want to be constantly dodged don't bring a flashlight, especially if someone else has one. Really, why do you need it EXCEPT to harass the killer. Throw up a purple coin and go looking for one in a chest. With Plunderer's you are almost guaranteed a flashlight, usually a green one.

First off I’m a rank 1 killer. Second, dodging is just as cowardice. Third, why does it matter if it’s cowardly? Forth, luck is stupid. Fifth, same reason you use add ons on killer, to get an advantage. Sixth, if somethings annoying, and it pisses people off, you fight to use it, not break in immediately. Seventh, there is no way to know if a killer will dodge or not, and saying you screwed over an honest killer is ireevlant; what’s the saying “killers shouldn’t be honoroubly or honest, they’re there to kill.”? Get outta here with your hypocrisy and talking in circles.

All I'm saying is if I want a flashlight in a game I either spawn in the lobby with it and let killer decide if they want to deal with it or I go find one in a chest. And yes you are a coward for doing it, because there is less chance for the killer to counter it. You are doing it specifically to avoid stuff like Franklin's and Lightborn, besides trying to avoid killers that would actually just take you up on the offer and play anyway. I never said killers that dodge are "honest" btw, just that they are probably not as good as the ones that don't dodge and therefore you, as a bad survivor, would want to play against the former and not the latter because you have a better chance of being able to just bully the killer all game.

I have about 400 hours on Xbox, mostly as survivor. I have almost every survivor perk on my Jake, but often just run Spine Chill, Sprint Burst, Self Care, and then whatever else I feel like. I usually bring a toolbox if I bring an item, and it would be either a yellow or green with speed and charge add-ons. Currently (and several times previously) rank 1, and I have been in PLENTY of games with full rank 1/2 players including killer. I have juked every killer in the game on almost every map. I often pip with at least a silver in Evader, Iridescent if it's a long game or I get found and chased at least twice. Also unless other survivors are giving away your position, them being stupid shouldn't stop you from being stealthy.

LOL rebuttal I don't need to. You can counter all that, except for Doc (which I said in my post). Again read what I wrote because you are just assuming my argument otherwise.

I'm not "assuming" jack. You made invalid points for three elements of Killer detection and refused to acknowledge the rest. You claim you don't "need" to rebuke them because you have no real argument is my guess.

NC + M&A then don't heal unless you KNOW where the killer is. Also Spine Chill. You can stealth killers I do it all the time dude. It's knowing how the killer sees things, line of sight, being able to predict what perks they have. You might not always pull off the stealth but I can assure you it's all beatable.

Spine Chill tellls you when the Killer is looking in your direction. If you're healing and you see it go off, and the Killer has NC, that doesn't tell you to hide. It tells you you've just been found. The best you can do now is get a head start.

Oh and if you are too close for BBQ, the killer has NO IDEA where you are. A circle with a 40m radius is huge, I could be anywhere. If you get within range and he can't see you, then you are completely free to go where you want. I get inside BBQ range then leave. Easy.

You're SERIOUSLY underestimating the size of a 40m radius lmao.

I'm rank 1 survivor, and against good killers with BBQ if you play smart you can stealth them.

Really guys, it's not that hard to avoid.

So you're saying because you, one singular man, can be stealthy, that makes it not only feasible, but viable and easily done.

Anecdotal evidence is a logical fallacy, just so you know.

You are assuming jack, because you just dismiss everything I said. I explain to you, very clearly, how to stealth against these tactics. I do it all the time, against rank 1 killers. Once you get found though stealth isn't an option, you just run. Run until you are caught, the killer gives up, or (in many cases for myself) you actually mindgame the killer and get away legit.

Spine Chill tells you killer is looking in your direction. Nurse's has a 28m range, SC has 32m range. That means that you can tell the kill is looking at you before NC actually procs, and if you stop healing when SC procs then killer may only see you healing for a second at most. They are still 28m away which with anyone but Billy/Nurse means you have just over 6 seconds to move. Again, I do it all the time you just have to understand how SC works and react appropriately.

You obviously don't play killer if you think a circle with a RADIUS of 40m is small. Doing some math, that's over 5000 square meters. That's like trying to find someone inside the entirety of Crotus Penn Asylum's main building. If you seriously can't hide from the killer inside that range than I don't know how else to help you.

Anecdotal evidence is only a thing when you are talking very specific situations. But I do it all the time in every situation. Other people have come in here saying they can do it, how is that anecdotal? Stealth is 100% completely viable in this game. You don't even need perks, just a basic understanding of how the killer sees the world. I will flat out just walk around a rock or tree right next to the killer and they won't see me because the object is breaking line of sight. And I'm not running or injured, so the killer has no idea that I'm there.

Go play killer, learn what they can see and what they can't, and you will be able to stealth just fine. If you want to live in denial you won't ever get better at the game.

I’m rank 1 wraith, don’t give me “you don’t play killer” #########, it’s stupid, and promotes splitting the player baseyou ass. Not mentioning the simple fact you’re wrong with that assumption to begin with.

Was I talking to you? No.

The guy I was talking too doesn't play killer because if he did he would know what the killers sees. He'd also know more about how BBQ and NC, among other killer perks, actually work. Instead he wants to ignore my advice when I flat out explain how you can stealth killers. I do it all the time, at rank 1 and below. I've completely lost killers in a chase because I get how killer's perspective works and I understand line of sight, and I know when to walk and when to run.

Also, you seem to like running spine chill. Well guess what, stealth should be a GOOD option without ANY perks, ALL THE TIME.

It can be done perkless. Spine Chill makes stealth a lot easier, but you don't need it. And if we are assuming things are perkless, well if the killer doesn't have BBQ, NC, or Whispers, how do you expect them to find you? I'll tell you, by being SEEN. If they see you then you can't be stealth. If you run a lot you can't be stealthy. If you don't know where the killer is you can't be stealthy. But if they can't, you don't, and you do then stealth is easy AF.

Freddy is no fun to fight if you're a Survivor who likes Stealth like me, because you can't easily hide from him and once you're in the Dream World there is no hiding, just running. But that's no reason for RANK 2 Survivors to call you a cheater, lmao.

He can be stealthed, it's really hard but it can be done. Freddy can't see ######### in dream world, so you can actually hide in spots you couldn't normally from other killers. Anywhere really dark, literally the edge of the map (bc Freddy has to be like 12m from the wall to see it clearly). You have to know where he is though which is the really tricky part. I usually just think to myself "If I was just over there what path would I take to get to here?" then just kinda assume that direction is "unsafe" and go in the opposite direction. It works most of the time. If he ever is not chasing you, then you should just run to a gen and try to wake up, and as soon as you do leave (unless you know he won't be coming to you, ie. he is chasing someone else).

You have to keep in mind that when you are awake you are a lot harder to see. It's like putting darkest moonlight and purple fog together on every killer, with added blur and particle effects. If you never played a game with the moonlight offerings go try a KYF game. You will get a much better idea of how to hide from Freddy when awake.

  • Anytime I use NOED on Freddy it either never procs or is destroyed in 15 seconds after the gates are powered.

  • I feel like even good ideas just get ######### on by people. One guy posted some perk ideas and one survivor perk was an obsession one that basically let's the obsession and killer make a deal where the obsession can like, sell out other survivors and get some reward from the killer. The details were a bit questionable, but the concept is IMO very original and quite awesome. Most people just said how stupid it is and how it will abused. They don't see the potential in it because they are too focused on how angry they are with the game as it is right now. If there was a perk like this, yea it'd probably be a bit cheesey, but it would be a fun thing to throw into the game to mix it up.

So killers bring moris and put party offering at the same time, explain that pls

Haha! Well you know...4 Streamers by survivors, 1 secret mori offering. You get the point. But ok that was funny :P

So did I understand that correctly that if the killer brings a mori to a 4 man streamer offering party from teh survivors, then this is considered toxic?

    Quite interesting :P

No it's not toxic to bring a mori, but it's just a waste of the streamer party offerings if the killer decides to not make full use of the offerings. Same goes for survivors who lose out on thousands of points by bringing in BNPs during such events.

? I'm confused. I know using BNP and insta-heals don't track well for emblems, but when you do an entire gen by yourself you get 1250 objective BP. So no, they are actually farming points pretty hard with BNP.

  • IMO the game should lock survivor builds at 40 seconds, then give the full 20 seconds to the killer to prep, and then have the 0:00 flash a few times at the end to lock in the killer. People that switch last second are cowards and should be hunted with extreme prejudice.

Yea but then you know when it's a real heartbeat or not. If you hear a heartbeat but SC doesn't proc, not even a flash then chances are the killer isn't actually anywhere near you.

Also skill checks are easy. Unnerving + Overcharge doesn't stop me from doing them. I will just plow through your Ruin by hitting great skill checks. They can make it harder and thus increase the time it takes me to do something, but it's far from difficult. I feel like the only time I even fail skill checks is when I stop doing something right when it pops up and fail it automatically.

Umad? Bro why you so mad?

But really you're just kinda proving his point. Though IMO his point applies to the community as a whole. The game is toxic AF. Some of the top DBD YT/streamers are toxic AF. This forum is toxic AF.

I want to enjoy this game but it becomes so hard lately. Everyone abuses game mechanics that need fixing, which have been pointed out for a long time now. Devs are more focus on coming up with these wild solutions instead of actually fixing the broken parts. It's not hard to figure out. Killers need something to keep the game going at a reasonable pace so they have time to chase and get kills. Survivors need something to combat the tunneling/camping that killers so vehemently defend as acceptable despite it being far too easy to do effectively. Also there needs to be more perks that help with loops, like Brutal Strength or Bamboozle because those are annoying AF playing killer.

The game should reward skill more for both sides and find ways to get people to play nice with each other. As foreign as that may sound to some, the lore of the game doesn't absolve you of being an #########.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if they made an add-on that causes a bleed-out timer, it would be really fun @SoburrHippie :chuffed: If I remember correctly, the developers want every killer to have a set amount of add-ons for every rarity, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't remember the numbers they mentioned but I do know they want every killer to have 2 ultra rare add-ons. The Huntress only has 1 so eventually she will get a second add-on, hopefully it'll cause a bleed out timer like you mentioned without reducing hatchets.

You have to ask yourself though, what is the end result of the BT effect? If she stops chasing him then he will heal. If she keeps chasing him, how is that different from normal hatchets? Is this add-on really of any value? I don't think it would be, not over the current version at least.

What if instead her hatchets inflict several status ailments at once, kinda like how Doc's pink add-on gives him powers from all the other lower tiered ones.

  • I think Iri hatchets are fine. If they speed up her throw a bit (and offset her speed up add-ons) it would be a lot more viable.

As for her second pink add-on I would like something that boosts your movement speed to 115 or maybe 120 when you run out of hatchets. I feel like that would be super good for Huntress.

TL;DR: These things can only be avoided in really niche ways.

    Sorry, but I don’t suck TrueTalent’s dong. I suck Bricky’s instead.

Maybe you should read it, considering I point out how all these anti-stealth things here can easily be countered. Nothing about beating them is "niche" you just need to know what perks the killer is using and what they do. BBQ doesn't even phase me now, there are so many ways to hide from it.

Like really if you want to make an argument about how hard it is to be stealthy but then completely ignore advice on how to be easily be stealthy I can't help you.

The ideas you described are faulty at best. Here's why:

Nurse's Calling: Monitor and Abuse. Plain and simple.

BBQ: If the Kiler can't see you, that means you're near. If anything, NOT being seen by the Killer is a bigger giveaway than being seen by him.

Doctor: Take a good long look at how fast you go from Madness 0 to Madness 1. You will scream pretty much the second you enter his Terror Radius in Treatment Mode. Combined with Distressing and Order, it goes up even more, even faster, and even farther away.

Plus everything else you didn't give a rebuttal for.

LOL rebuttal I don't need to. You can counter all that, except for Doc (which I said in my post). Again read what I wrote because you are just assuming my argument otherwise.

Doc is a problem for me not because of the screaming but because he can stop you from vaulting (which is buggy AF, you can hop through a window and be clear away only to teleport back), and because you can't get out of tier 2, and with add-ons tier 2 is crazy strong. IMO when you 'snap out of it' you should revert to tier 1 because it's just ridiculous.

Oh and if you are too close for BBQ, the killer has NO IDEA where you are. A circle with a 40m radius is huge, I could be anywhere. If you get within range and he can't see you, then you are completely free to go where you want. I get inside BBQ range then leave. Easy.

    @powerbats said:
As a killer with BBQ if I don't see auras I know they're either really close or behind a gen, and moving one way works at low ranks but high ranks killers know this. Wide open maps well you can only go so far. Against a Nurse, Doctor, or Billy yeah good luck with that.

If you want to avoid BBQ against Nurse/Billy then either get inside BBQ's range then leave, or be as far from the hook as possible so you can fake them out moving one way while you are actually going another way.

I'm rank 1 survivor, and against good killers with BBQ if you play smart you can stealth them.

Really guys, it's not that hard to avoid.

  • I want feedback that doesn't have attitude attached to it hence the idea of a fun thread because it's not supposed to be toxic or argumentative, so thanks for ruining my thread and you will probably ruin my killer perk idea thread. You came in here with an attitude and just bashed my ideas because of things I've said in other threads. You gave your feedback, why do you continue to spam my thread? If you wanted to make your points, make them without being a pure ######### about it. Also maybe read what people write, which is obvious you didn't do merely because you didn't see the long ass link in the first line.

Post if you want I'm done talking to you.

And you can say what you want about my ideas, but I'm not going to respect your opinion if you have an attitude about it. If you want to keep giving me attitude please just don't even respond (here or the killer thread).

I'm not looking for feedback from killer mains. You can have you opinions of my ideas I don't care, but I don't want to argue with you about the game in my thread. If you want to leave feedback fine, but if you want to just rail on me because your a killer main (which is pretty obvious considering the petty nitpicking of just the first perks BP bonus put there for FUN), just state your opinion and move on.

"I want a feedback, but [BAD WORD] YOU if that feedback is not what I wanted" - won't comment that
    As to the perks:
    1. Seems nice.
    2. Yeah, sure, and when survivors unhook someone, let's teleport the hooked person on the other random hook. Can be triggered once per 60/50/40 seconds.
    3. It would make Nurse unplayable, nope.
    4. Another crutch?

Constructive feedback is one thing. Flaming and bashing my ideas because you are a killer main and just want to start an argument with me about stuff I said in a different thread is another. Your feedback is technically negative, but you don't have an attitude about it, so thank you. This thread is for a fun discussion, not arguing. He can move on, points noted.

Also regarding Houndini, just really think about the perk for a second. Say you go to the shack and the basement is there. There will be 7 lockers, 3 top 4 bottom. If you jump into one at the top you have 50% higher chance of jumping out of a locker in the basement. If you go to the basement, it is 50/50 if you go to basement or top. There's only a few maps and a few spots in a game when you would have a lot of lockers to go to. So if you don't pay attention to where you are then chances are you will just end up jumping out in a bad spot. There is actually a very low chance it would help you get away if you actually consider the layout of lockers and such. I'm not saying it wouldn't be powerful, it definitely would, maybe some other downsides to it. But the idea is to extend the chase, which is what the valuable survivor perks do.

Nurse unplayable with blood splatter? Not really considering it has the downside that you bleed more for a time after being hit. It's supposed to give you a window to lose the killer, but good killers or those with Bloodhound will be able to counter your perk easy. I won't argue that numbers might be too strong, but that's something you need to test.

As for #4, I say to you what I said to the other guy. Check out my killer perks, because one of my ideas is literally teleporting hooked survivors to the basement.

  • Honestly you are better off with tier 1 Devour Hope because survivors won't know until you can mori them. Only thing is it's a totem, and totems usually don't last that long. If you can get Lery's or the Game as killer they have good totem spots. Otherwise it's luck of the draw. It could last 10 minutes. It could be gone in the first 20 seconds of the game. IMO it's one of the most fun perks to use, it's just not very viable honestly.

  • Here is a clip of the scoreboard frame drop on Xbox X > https://1drv.ms/v/s!ArDQJhViBOPmjzYI0c_XKOmxTqy2

The pixelation is the DVR on the Xbox not the game. But the frame rate was what you see.

  • Xbox One X. Played a match as Huntress on Haddonfield last night and the frame rate was awful. No myst offers either. It felt like my camera was jittering whenever I would look towards the middle of the map. Survivors that were 3 feet in front of me would just disappear and I would had a hard time moving my camera to go where I wanted it felt like I had stick drift or something. But the 2 games prior and 2 games after I did not have this problem, and they were all on the Auto Haven, Macmillan, and Coldwind maps.

As far as the True comment, yea again read what I write and don't just pick out words to attack. I'm just using him as an example of a good killer that doesn't lose people. When the killer actually finds you and is chasing you, stealth isn't really an option and it's not supposed to be either. Stealth only works up to the point you are found, but it works INSANELY well if you do it right.

Yes, it's to stroke people's ego. And to troll and meme, which is pretty much what this game is about considering the current state of balance.

DS is more of an ego stroke than No Mither because DS makes people cocky and overzealous. Also it makes some people toxic AF because they use it specifically to annoy the killer. No Mither is only an ego stroke in the context that if you run it you can say "well you only got me BC I have No Mither". But I don't usually see that. More "I'm going to try this perk and see how it do" which is followed immediately in the next game by "I'm never using this garbage again".

-Visual and audio cues for pretty much everything that isn’t walking
    -The Doctor’s existence
-The surpsingly high gamma of many maps
-Loud AF music only the Surv can hear while the Killer is close which can cause a lack of judgement in what the Killer hears

“Stealth is viable.” -Every Nurse main

Stealth is absolutely viable against almost all of these. Doc and Bloodhound are really the only ones you can't stealth. Though for BH you could argue that since you need to be injured you can stealth it (which you totally can) but once injured it's fairly impossible to escape from the killer. You are just stuck being chase for X amount of time however long you can run for.

For each of the aura perks you can avoid them as long as you know they have them. BBQ, either be inside the terror radius, behind a gen, or just don't be where the killer just saw you. Walk away in a different direction. I'm to a point now I just assume every killer has BBQ until I know otherwise and I play around it. In fact just yesterday I had a game against Clown on a farm map (forget which, Rotten Fields maybe?), and it was down to me and my friend. He hooked my friend across the map and, knowing I was going to be spotted on BBQ, I did a dull totem in the very middle of a cornfield. I started it before he hooked and did it for 4 seconds, then walked away far to the left and circled around to make the save. Killer 100% took the bait and came RIGHT to that totem, searched all the corn and probably the pig tree (which was close by). Nope, I was 2/3 across the map at that point to make the save (which I got safely BTW).

Nurse's Calling is easy to dodge too just don't heal if you hear a heartbeat. Spine Chill is also a life saver here, because you tan easily tell if the killer has NC because you will be healing behind a wall and then it lights and stays lit. Killer can obviously see you and is probably coming to you. In those cases I just get as far away, into the deepest corner of the map I can to heal. You can even bait killers with this too. On Crotus Penn (long time ago forget the killer) I help another survivor by baiting a killer with NC to chase me upstairs in the main building. I healed myself to about 90%, then went upstairs to tap it so they came up looking for me. Then I go downstairs and tap it. By the time they found me I just finished the heal, made them waste a good 60 seconds trying to get me because of my aura. It was a very risky thing but IIRC this wasn't a very good killer. Point is you can stealth this.

I'm starting to really hate Doc just for the fact that you can't vault something when he shocks you. I am constantly making it through windows only to teleport back to the other side, it's infuriating. That really shouldn't be a thing. Knocking you off stuff, or keeping you from doing most actions is fine, but vaulting shouldn't be affected simply because it's too connection based. I also think you should be able to 'snap out of it' for madness 2. With some add-ons, madness 2 is so powerful and the fact you can't get out of it is kinda dumb. I also have a problem with Docs that run 3 gen strat but then over-commit to it to the point they are just wasting everyone's time. Too many games where the Doc refuses to commit to a chase on someone in madness 3 and injured because they will go away from the 3 gens that have 0 progress. It's really annoying to deal with, if they would just commit once in a while and kill people I'd be fine with it, but I've only met like 2 Docs playing 3 gen that ever did that.

But I think the problem people like OP have with stealth in the game is that it's impossible to stealth a good killer ONCE THEY FIND YOU. Any killer worth their salt in survivor tears will be able to follow you and eventually catch you. True Talent almost never loses someone in a chase. If they get away it's mostly because he let them go because he knew it would be a waste, or he found another surv, or he had to protect a totem/gen/hook. You don't get away from a killer like him, you just run, for as long as you can, until he catches you or gives up. That's where people say stealth isn't viable, and it's not in those cases (unless you have IW&UE). But stealth is totally viable when the killer has no idea where you are. I've straight up walked right behind killers knowing they won't think to turn around or sat motionless in a patch of cat tails for the killer to walk right past me, SOMETIMES EVEN BUMP INTO ME, and not see me. If you understand line of sight and know how to move around without drawing attention to yourself you can stealth killers all game. But once you get found stealth isn't an option anymore.

  • All her perks are pretty solid IMO.

Boil Over is one of those perks that can help in a pinch, but it seems like the map make a big difference in how effective it is.

Dance With Me has actually gotten me out of a LOT of jams. Pair with Q&Q and Lithe and you become a window magician. And even alone it can help you juke the killer just long enough to escape or get to another pallet/window. I've done stuff like jump through a window then just run around an object and hide, killer completely loses me because there are no tracks.

Windows of Opportunity is probably her best one. Great for newbies that need to learn where pallets/windows are. Great for pros because it let's you scope out an area without needing to move around too much AND you see fallen pallets which is pretty huge. It's also great verse Doc because you don't see fake pallets, making them easier to spot. The only downside to it really is that you benefit less from the perk the better you are at the game. Pros can still definitely make use of it, but if you play the game enough you just know where the pallets and windows are after a point.

  • Boil Over makes your wiggle affect killer movement more. It's basically Iron Grasp in reverse. The wiggle time, however, is the same as always.

I've been on both the giving and receiving ends of tier 3 and it's a good alternative to DS, since you can always use it. One some maps it can really help, like Lery's, where there is a lot more stuff for killer to get stuck on while carrying you and it's harder to see where hooks are and such.

I think it's a good perk. The problem is that it's kinda map dependent.

  • I think with No Mither you should spawn as "healthy" but it's actually an injured state. Both the UI and character animation would show healthy, but if you get hit then you go down. The No Mither icon should only be visible to other survivors too, not the killer. After you get hit and recover from dying you should just show as injured the rest of the trial.

Then if you play against a Billy, LF, Myers, or any character using a insta-down you can almost purposely take that hit so they don't see that you have No Mither.

As survivor, frames drop whenever a UI pops up, like status or hex. If you get hit by Huntress hatchets and she is running add-ons that inflict someone the frames drop for a full second or more. EDIT: Also literally anything Doctor.

As killer, frames drop when I use my power usually. Freddy, lags when someone actually falls asleep and you can hit them. As Huntress, lags when you throw a hatchet sometimes.

EDIT 2: I'm also noticing a lot of frame lag on the scoreboard screen. The whole UI feels like it's crashing.

    1. I'm saying it makes no sense to give BP for this perk. How is it altruistic to point out a generator?
    2. It will be free most of the time, since lockers aren't usually in visual range of each other. Chases are already long enough; no need to extend them further.
    3. Maybe they changed it since I last played (been a little busy IRL), but last I played, it was hard to see for a brief moment.
    4. Survivors already have a ton of chances, plus second-chance perks. Killers can stand wherever the [BAD WORD] they want, and there's no reason to punish them for it. Killers are supposed to be the power role; not Survivors. Suggestions like this completely forget that very basic principle.

    1. The altruistic part is because you do it with another player. You don't even need to point at something just do the same gesture as each other.
    2. No it's not free because it has downsides. It triggers a notification so the killer knows what locker you came out of. It has a risk because most lockers are grouped together, in fact you'd have a very low chance of going to a locker far away. You also can't attempt to kobe, which might not be that big of a deal but it can make a difference in some cases, but the idea is you trade 1 kind of escape for another.
    3. I honestly don't notice it. I have no problem tracking someone that I just hit, except when I'm Freddy and they are a P3 Claudette and even then not that much.
    4. You just have to stand farther away. The fact killer can totally prevent you from making a save is BS. If a killer sit that close to you there is no way you can be saved, don't pretend like you can. If you want to talk about things for free, bad killers get free kills because they can camp hooks. Now those killers will get punished for it. If you don't want to get stunned, then don't stand so close to the hook. Killers being in a power role doesn't mean they can completely block hook saves. That's like saying the catcher should be able to just pick up home plate and carry it with him so no one else can score.

But I'm not going to argue the camping issue with you here. Thank you for the feedback, but you are obviously not the demographic I'm trying to reach here. Go check out my killer perk ideas because then you get a better picture of what I think killer should have.

  • @Orion said:
    1. The BP makes no sense. Other than that, this is just a combination of perks that already exist, but more powerful.
    2. No, Survivors don't need yet more free escapes. Furthermore, you can't struggle until the second hook phase, and if you don't struggle then, you just die instantly.
    3. I take it you haven't played Killer. The amount of blood you get on your screen by default is absurd.
    4. No, you may not punish the Killer for being near the hook.

    1. BP is there more for fun than anything. It's 300 BP at most, nothing to whine about.
    2. It's not free, there is still a notification and you could very well teleport to the locker right next to you. It extends the chase more than it is a free escape. Also you can struggle during phase 1, that's how you kobe. That is something you can't do if you use this perk.
    3. I do play killer and the blood is nothing. If it really bothers you then I question how good of a killer you must be. It's meant to be similar to Dance With Me in that it gives you a window to escape. Plus the downside of hemorrhaging means any decent killer will be able to follow your blood trail and keep on you.
    4. The perk is meant to give survivors a chance to make an unhook, because if the killer is that close it is literally impossible to actually unhook someone. Maybe don't stand within 10m if you don't want to get stunned and it's not a problem.

Maybe take a look at my killer perk ideas if you are a killer main.

The point is that communication happens anyway, yet the devs pretend like it doesn't when they create perks or killer abilities. Like if you just assume that people aren't communicating, Pig's crouch seem like an AMAZING ability. But the moment you throw communication into the mix, it becomes utterly worthless most of the time. Planning for the communication could avoid pitfalls like this, Pig could have gotten a much more powerful ability if designers built it around the idea people can communicate with each other.

I say the fix here is to get rid of SWF, and the communication problem goes away. And blah blah blah PEOPLE WILL QUIT IN OUTRAGE... no they wont, they'll hissy fit for a couple days and then play anyways. And the ones that stay gone we didnt need anyways.

No because people can still find ways to communicate. On Xbox, I can just invite you to my party right from the lobby. Not sure how it works on PS4 but I'm sure you can do something similar. If you want to make it really easy on PC, stream your game put the link as you name, once other survs catch wind of the idea they will all just be watching each others streams. It's an extreme example of how people can subvert the system, point is that getting rid of SWF does not actually solve the communication problem.

I stealth all the time, frequently walk away with gold Evader. The trick?

    SPINE CHILL

This perk is absolutely necessary if you want to play stealthy because it let's you know when you are being watched. On a gen and suddenly it lights up? Killer is coming to that gen. Going for an unhook but see it lights up as you approach and doesn't go off? Killer is waiting by that hook. Trying to open a gate without being seen because NOED and Spine Chill lights up? Killer is coming to that gate. Any time you are doing something and Spine Chill procs and stays proc'd, the killer is coming to your position. If you react within the first second of it triggering you can easily just walk away from whatever and hide. It also let's you know when the killer loses you in a chase. When you are being chased it will always be lit. If it's not lit then technically the killer doesn't see you so you can just walk or crouch away. I've baited so many killers to think I'm going to run a loop, only to just simply WALK away, completely away, by keeping my eyes on Spine Chill to know I can't be seen.
