As a Feng main, Meg in general looks better than most of the survivors, including Feng lol.

Have you tried the no-stalk strategy with Ghostface? I've gotten much better results that way. Still needs ruin or corrupt intervention though.
Yeah, I don't stalk all the time, typically when the survivors don't notice me. Even so, the fact that you have to essentially ignore half of his power to get any good use out of the Killer is really poor design.
-
Haddonfield or Coldwind Farm or we RIOT!
I hope it's not the case were we get like 18 barely noticable variants of the same map.
We all still hate Badham, guys.
-
No, and people should really stop bringing these types of threads up.
Self-Care can be good when used at the right times. Don't advocate for hurting players who use it effectively and those who aren't good with it. It's up to them to learn the right times.
Only potatoes make these type of threads.
-
Salt thread is salt thread because your last one calling for unnecessary nerfs had backlash.
Plague becomes an easily loopable M1 killer with no chasing ability and no map pressure if you don't cleanse. If anything, Plague should encourage survivors to heal in some other way so that she can actually use Corrupt Purge more often.
Spirit just needs a tell for her power, but that's it. A "nerf", but one that is fair, seeing as she's the only killer that doesn't telegraph her power.

Kinda wish they just... got Steve and Nancy to do their own voices.

I swear people exaggerate about the state of dbd on console. Not sure if I'm lucky or my console was crafted by the gods, but I never experience these bugs nearly as often.
You're one of the lucky ones. Sometimes I can't even turn my camera too fast or else my entire PS4 will go into overdrive trying to process the bad coding while the game runs at 6 frames for the rest of the game.
I'm on good Ethernet, by the way.

Killers and Survivors...
Anyone else tired of the rampant clickbait topic names?
Anyways, no, just rework them. @Carlosylu 's suggestion is perfect.
-
Demogorgon.
-
Wait until they pick someone up, or commit to breaking a pallet.
-
Here's who I think:
- Trapper - Needs setup time for traps, and he'll still lose a few gens even with Ruin up.
- Wraith - Easily loop-able. Other than initial surprise attacks, good survivors won't be getting hit.
- Doctor - Doesn't have much map pressure, and is very add-on dependent for any pressure at all.
- Cannibal - Because it's Leatherface. Of course.
- Pig - Her traps can slow down the game for a bit, but after she uses them all it's mega gen-rush.
- Clown - Not much map pressure.
- Legion - Though it's debatable if Corrupt Intervention would be just as useful.
- Ghost Face - Has no map pressure. I main Ghost Face in purple ranks and he struggles there without Ruin. He's pretty add-on dependent, and isn't fast at all. His stalking takes too long compared to how quickly survivors can reveal you. Ruin is practically essential, especially in survivors sided maps (i.e. Haddonfield, The Temple, Coldwind, etc.).
-
Most likely still the Nurse lol. She has telekinesis and can teleport through the physical plane.
Logically, she could just drag anyone into the Spirit World, which would either kill them or leave them stranded there.
-
Frame rate is absolutely atrocious sometimes, and I don't know how considering games like DMC 5 run at 60 just fine.

It's actually not. Not to mention it's a rendering of an actual set, so they can't change it any old way they want just because you want to whine about a few extra windows. As a killer, it's a small map with plenty of cutoff points, making it a great map for Pop-up and ambush killers, especially. It's not imbalanced or unfair - you're just bad, I would assume. The reason badham got reworked was because Freddy got reworked, which gave them an out. Michael got a new cosmetic solely because of his new movie. The original neighborhood from the film was scaled and built into a DbD arena, sure, but they aren't going to change it's looks or take windows out, just because you can't predict movements or cut off survivors intelligently. Grow up.
Hawkins Lab in game is very different from Hawkins Lab in the show. I'm pretty sure they can change the layout a bit.

Yes, I know. Those parents are stupid.

I am a Myers Main I played since day one of me getting the DLC. And guess what? It was my first.
My second was Huntress.
I entered purple and Red ranks with Myers. I know what is bad or good for killers.
And having 90 spine chills going off and them hiding before you get there is kinda dumb
Moonwalk if you have such a problem with Spine Chill. There are ways to play around it. Mind-game, moonwalk, just outplay them. Spine Chill isn't a guaranteed factor anyways.
-
Yes, trumping stealth abilities applies to the Undetectable status as well.

I'm gonna say "change". He seems just too similar to Billy, in my opinion.

Lol you really think they ain't bad? Have fun with 4 spine chills with Myers.
Huntress is barely played same as the others. Myers is just rare.
A good Myers player will have no problems. Huntress is undeniably top-tier. A player that is good with those killers will have no problem. Just because you've had a negative experience doesn't mean they're bad.

Trapper:
Where would Bloodloss encourage tunneling? Because otherwise they heal? That would mean Deep Wound also encouraged tunneling, no? Since they can heal out of that.
Self escapes wouldn't be guaranteed downs. Remember that this change is to give Trapper a bit of a hand when a survivor stepped into a trap far away and managed to escape out of it quickly. I could see Deep wound being added to this, though I opted out of that idea because Deep Wound wouldn't really help Trapper here at all. The survivor would then simply escape and if the Trapper did manage to get close(r) then looping would ensue.
It's very simple to disarm traps and ignore the effect entirely (Bloodloss upon trap disarm is an "extra" thought I had, the main goal is when stepping into one).
Nurse:
I'd like to hear why momentum is unnecessary, and why it would be hated. You can play around it by not blinking as far, for example. It puts a lot more control into the players' hands than the current cooldown system does, and at least seems a lot more interesting than a cooldown, and at the same time it would reward survivors a bit who managed to make the Nurse miss a blink, giving them slightly more distance before she uses her second. It would increase her map pressure as she would cover more distance, too, if the player decided upon that, or they could use an object to stop at a location of choice.
Hillbilly:
I opted to give Hillbilly this slight tweak because I've read a lot of the time that Hillbilly is incredibly strong for how relatively easy he is to pick up. This change would still let him keep his immense power, as all plays Hillbilly can currently do with him will still be possible, but would make his learning curve slightly more linear and more in line with other strong killers.
Appreciate your feedback, let me know any counter-arguments you may have!
Bloodloss encourages tunneling because the Survivor can't heal if they're being chased, and the timer will still deplete if the killer is near you. The killer won't have to try, just wait until the timer runs out and it's an instant down. This is the same problem everyone had with The Old Legion.
Nurse is already strong without momentum and requires quite a steep learning curve. Experienced Nurse players will suffer from scrambled muscle memory since they are used to precise blinks.
Hillbilly is understandable, but people will be pissed lol.

But then the stores wouldn't have a legal reason to NOT sell the game to just anyone. The age is on there for that reason, and it makes sense. Including the content for parents to view doesn't do jack if the kid can just walk down the street and buy it anyway.
That should be the responsibility of the parent and not the sellers.
-
Bloodloss encourages tunneling and punishes Survivors way to harshly. Absolutely not. Any self-escape is a guaranteed down. Just make it Deep Wound.
Momentum is unnecessary. If anything, just make it an add-on. It'd probably be even more hated to the people who play her.
Dunno why Hillbilly needs add-on either. He's fine.
-
I dunno, I just started using the Nurse. She has a learning curve for sure (especially on console), but she's great.

@Micheal_Myers said:
Lol Nurse is being ignored?
Guess who else gets ignored:
Myers
Pig
Hag
Plague
Legion
Doctor
Demogorgon
Huntress
Leatherface
And clown.
And soon to be Spirit.
They all are rarely seen or rarely played anymore.
Deomogorgon barely came out and I dont even see him much.
That means:
Trapper
Wraith
Billy
Freddy
And Ghostface
Are all getting played more often than (58.8%) the entire killer roster.
(Barely played Killers of the Killer Roster = 58.8%)
(Mostly Played killers of the Killer roster = 41.2%)
17 Killers = 100% of Killer Roster
100 ÷ 17 = 5.8%
So each killer is 5.8% of the entire killer roster.
So.. 10 × 5.8 = 58.8 of killer Roster barely played.
Which is funny.
Cause what do they all have in common? Crappy killer powers because either a nerf messed em up, or because they were made with the intentionally crappy power.
That's why they aren't played. And people wonder why we dont have good queue times 🤣
Myers, Huntress, Demogorgon, and Hag are all excellent killers. Just because you don't play against them often doesn't mean they're bad. I get Myers like every other match.

I have a recipe for you: take a trapper with two bags. Collect all traps on a map in one place, like a shack or some building, don't do anything else, just rearm traps. Repeat until some survivors finally get a message and start derping around with you. Swing at a totem or at a gen and grab them when they do what you ask. Done. Traps done the same way. After this return a favor with pallet drops, blinds, etc.
Killers are way less responsive to survivors goofing around, for obvious and understandable reasons (interpreted as taunting or baiting), so don't expect the same thing working as a survivor.
Alternatively. Use The Doctor. Block a survivor from vaulting and then stay in Treatment Mode and wait for them to vault while standing right behind them. Survivors usually just try and spam the vault button. The Doctor grabs way faster and has a longer available grab time while in Treatment Mode.

For parents who aren't into videogames they are actually very helpful. There are too many games for a parent to go out and research everyone that their kid would want to play and the reasons why they get that rating are listed. That way parents can get a quick overview of the questionable content.
Yeah, parents are the reason for their existence. They should just take off the age and leave what it includes.

Well... obviously the people who ignore them don't. But yeah, some people do, the devs apparently being one of them since they age-gate the website.
I think that may be because they're probably in a region/province where the game is law enforced.

Myers.
Imagine being lifted by one hand by a guy almost double your size, a stab like that wouldn't just leave you with a (most likely non-repairable) wound, your organs would be ruptured by the shear force of his strike, then he throws you away like you were nothing, no weight, just a target, job done.
Myers actually silently says "STAY IN THE TRASH CAN TRASH!"

That's the reason. Ghost Face shouldn't have to ignore part of his power in order to be a good killer.
-
Ghost Face should be on their buff list, if anything.

Not sure why there isn't just proximity chat.

I wouldn't mind. They'd definitely have to pick only of the Nightmare animatronics though. Any of the other ones probably wouldn't fit the feel of the game.

I don't know Peanits, it started with Nurse, then Spirit, and maybe I got myself missunderstood, I don't mean that there's people who wanna nerf every killer, but every time you guys nerf something they see the chance and ask for more and more, I really hope no other killer gets nerfed, more like reworks or buffs for unloved and practically unseen killers at purple and red ranks.
I do get that you guys call the shots, but I really don't wanna see any change to Freddy, this post is merely for fun
Nurse and Spirit changes were completely valid. Nurse completely ignores any survivor defenses and Spirit gave so little feedback that survivors might as well have been playing in-game Kahoot.
There are some things in games that need buffs, and others that need nerfs. That's just the way things are. I'm sure all of those killers will be buffed soon enough (please Legion and Bubba for the love of Vigo), but until then we'll just have to wait.
And I'm pretty sure Freddy isn't getting nerfed anytime soon lol.
-
You don't have to completely finish the generator or healing, you only have to be doing the action when it's completed. If I start healing a survivor or doing a gen the second before it's finished, I'll still get the achievement.
It's not that hard.
-
I say Doctor. Spirit doesn't have that much in terms of story to convey to make an entire movie. Doctor is something that could be really good as a psychological horror though.

it's not only when in 1v1 but also when the all gens are done. Remember that there is still time between the moment the gens ar epowered and the gates are opened.
So... your suggestion is to have the perk work exactly the same as it currently does?
EDIT: SORRY SORRY
So you're suggesting that it can also work when hatch is closed but not all 5 gens are powered, gotcha.

Yeah, you said near, when it actually IS zero.
Devs don't shy away to nerf killers in wide sweeps to generalize their similarities. Pig got smacked by that the hardest with ambush nerf (again, without any complains about it at all).
And I'm still waiting for balanced landing and adrenaline to be put in line with other exhaustion perks.
As in, in Tier 2, his TR is also near zero.
T1 = 0
T2 = 16 meters (can be lowered with add-ons/perks = near zero)
-
@RainbowPatooie said:
Unfortunately that would also make long-term players less likely to stick around, as they would max out easily. As nice as more BP would be, there is sadly some downsides to too much.
I'm not entirely sure that the reason long term players are sticking around is just to max out characters as opposed to just playing the game for fun.
@PolarBear said:
They recently alleviated the long term grind a bit by introducing 4 perks (2 of which you can pick) per bloodweb at level 50. Doubling bloodpoints is not the smartest idea as this will lead into an abundance of high rarity add-ons and items that will throw off the little balance the game still has.
That's about the only downside I can see. I'd say just make the items more rare since you'll be going through Bloodwebs at a faster rate.

it's not when the End Game Collapse happens. But when the gates are powered so when all 5 gens are done and if you are in 1v1 and you close the hatch.
The effect already triggers once all 5 gens are done. Adding two more requirements is once again, a nerf. A survivor who knows they have Rancor will just immediately leave from the gate. What benefit would come from only having it triggered once you're in a 1v1 AND the hatch is closed?
-
You forgot to mention that Myers can have near ZERO terror radius up to Tier 2.
-
No...
The obsession will just leave once the Endgame Collapse starts, which is more likely to happen when the Survivors open the gate, making Rancor's effect practically useless.
It'd just be a nerf.
