but also fnaf killer when?
The guys on the forums seriously underestimate the potential a FNAF character could have, especially with all the lore and potential powers.
They could legit have a scary killer come from that with designs from the 3rd and 4th games.

But survivors dont see him coming, and many struggle to break him out because of how busted the mechanic is. GF can expose them and they cant reveal him.
i dont know what to say. I find him really strong and its easy to dominate good teams with him because his stealth is overpowering.
Survivors don't see him coming if they don't have Spine Chill or he's taking a weird route to avoid line of sight. Good Ghostie players will purposefully do that to sneak up, unless they literally can't provided the map is something like Red Forest or Mount Ormond.
The reveal mechanic doesn't work if you don't have 40% of him in the center of of the screen.
Knowing this actually makes revealing him a lot easier.

Ghostface is easily red rank material. His ability to get free hits and the fact that survivors have no idea where he is often wins me games easily. It's not just my experience I watch a number of streamers who all have the same experience.
Yeah but it doesn't matter if he can get free hit if survivors completely counter the ability that gets him it by looking at him.
And then he can be easily looped by competent survivors.
Add that to the fact that he as no map pressure and he's not gonna be winning too many games without something to heavily slow down the gen speeds.

There is no real counter to his power, since you can be exposed while literally standing in front of him and staring at him. This killer is the ultimate tunneling machine, since he can easily counter BT and down people right off the hook again.
edit: I know it’s bait but GF does have issues so I treated it legit for the sake of it
Pretty much my only issues with GF. Being able to expose people mid-chase while being able to easily reset reveal with little risk isn't skillful or challenging, it just feels bad to play against as he isn't outplaying me, but just playing with broken mechanics. The easily reset-able reveal without losing stalk also flies in the face of the devs reasoning for ruin involving little risk. This isn't even going into how broken the actual reveal is, with GF being directly in view, yet according to the game, I can't see him.
I'm not sure if its a dedicated server issue (among many) or if its the actual reveal that is broken, probably both honestly
One example of reveal being objectively unfair:
https://gfycat.com/elatedelegantcougar
- oh yes i should have just played around it !!!
There are PLENTY of examples I could link showing him chasing and being apparently invisible to the game.
- the rest of your complaints; crouch spam, tunneling, camping etc are not an issue really to me
- i can’t wait till someone tries to justify that gif and spin it as my fault kek
Well, to be fair, since I think he's stalking around the corner from the left side, he can see your arm poking out.
Also he can see through the cracks in the wood in the basement.

Many people seem to agree hes the campiest of all killers. Even Leatherface mains are shocked.
Jokes aside though the reason hooked and slugged survivors can reveal him is precisely because of this. The devs said it themselves. Its to stop him camping.
Removing that would just buff his camping anility which isn’t fun for anyone. I dont see why he needs that anyway, you hook the survivor, walk away and then activate night shroud. If you arent hanging around the hook then you dont need to worry about that survivor revealing you
The devs also said that camping and slugging is a viable strategy, so where exactly did the devs say this?
Also survivors can reveal from up to 35 meters away, and he has a 32 meter terror radius. You don't want to let survivors within that radius hear you coming.

The guy is very powerful, he is by far the most popular killer on the PlayStation 4 next to Myers and Spirit killers. I see Ghostface far more than any other killer even the Oni and Hilbilly takes a backseat when it comes to Ghostface. And these guys are running very similar builds like 90% of the time. And like I stated before each game is a hatch game except for when they wanna tunnel and camp one survivor just to teabag them.
Ghostie is a popular killer, but he's not even close to red rank material. He's very popular in the green rank territory, but as a red rank survivor and killer, and Ghostie main, he's not red rank material and I see the typical Spirit and Billy way more often.
You cannot apply your experience to the game as a whole.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
"downed and hooked survivors can no longer reveal The Ghost Face"
This is a really bad idea to be honest. Most GF players camp enough as it is. If the hooked/downed survivor could not reveal him then every hook/slug would be more of an ambush than it is now.
I've seen you on the other post about Ghostie
You're speaking for most people in all of your posts regarding Ghostie when in reality you're just speaking from your own experience.
You do not speak for most people, and just because you have been slugged and camped by Ghostie, doesn't make it widely applicable. Another can say the exact opposite.
-
Will you guys be changing the ways gens are completed, to make it more interesting an fun for both sides? Since people have a problem with both gen times and the monotony of completing them, there should be something to address both of these.
-
To be consistently functional, like a normal game.
I don't understand how BHVR has gotten away with this for so long? Any other dev would have their game trashed on if it ran like DBD did.
-
Why would they ever be used then lol? Survivors will just 99% the doors and leave when everyone's there and Adrenaline will literally be useless.
-
@SurvJoe said:
I agree that revealing ghostface is broken bugged and i would also remove indication who revealed you because it's kinda unfair killer gets unearned info
You get to remove the killer's power in less than 2 seconds for like 35 seconds.
"Unearned info" lol.
To address the OP, no. Ghostie is nowhere near OP. He's just okay. He's easy to loop when his power's disabled, has no map pressure, and his power is easily disabled. You can disable his power while running away and after that, he's pretty easy to go against, as he has nothing for the next 35 seconds to use against you.
-
Try out Ghostie without Night Shroud.
-
I love add-ons like Myers' and Nurse's that change how you play The Killer, and I think that more add-ons should be this way. Myers has exceptional add-ons.
Meanwhile... Oni's... ew.

Killer main I assume, I always find whatever you main can be the most frustrating at times. I play at red ranks as both but I find survivor the most frustrating, as I care more about how I do in game. Compared to killer where I don't really care how I do, whether I get a 4k or all the survivors escaped it doesn't matter to me.
Anyway what I find most frustrating what randoms do:
- Play too immersed (hiding at the edge of the map, urban evading around the map)
- Not doing gens
- Wasting pallets
- Bad unhooking decisions
- Using self care (A red rank survivor should not be using self care in 2020)
- Using urban evasion
- Gifting a bad killer free kills that they didn't deserve
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/114/CIOSW5326TMU.png
In the image above, have in mind whilst I was solo I was rank 1, so the randoms should be high ranks too. The Claudette and the Kate were red ranks, and the Jake was rank 10.
A red rank survivor should not be using Self-Care in 2020
Hard disagree. People just don't understand which situations should be best to use Self-Care.
To answer OP's question:
- farming off the hook (unhooking in front of the killer w/o Borrowed Time
- not body-blocking/unhooking (especially during the EGC when the gate is open; for reference, I carried the entire team and was caught by Clown and face-camped, the two did not want to take a single hit even though one of them had an insta-heal, so I died)
- sacrificing a hook-state to finish a gen
- absolutely nothing (doing gens, you?)
- not running (yes, I know you have Sprint Burst, and no, the killer is not anywhere near us, they're on the other side of the map tunneling Claudette)
- giving up on first hook for literally no reason
- DC-ing
-
is this a real post?
-
I feel as though the main issue with it is that it lacks any intensity. While I like the melody, as it's very representative of The Doctor, the lack of a beat can make it extremely ear graining after a while. I've heard it with a beat somewhere, though I can't remember, but it sounds way better.
-
I feel as though this are some unnecessarily overly-complicated changes.
While I do agree that DBD can be much more intense and balanced for both sides, the main obstacle preventing this is the map design. By making the maps smaller as well as more consistent, survivor-killer interaction is much more frequent, which ups the ante of the games.
While new game modes would be incredible, and something I'm looking forward to, I don't think that this is the way to go about it.
-
The most fun average game I ever played. God, I hate and love this game so much!
-
They have openly acknowledged Haddonfield now, so my best guess would be there.
Then next would be Coldwind, as the game looks the worst on that map, and is terribly unbalanced.
After that, I could see Mount Ormond or Red Forest.
-
That's genuinely scary...
-
Another question I think could be useful:
Were you able to complete the challenges by playing normally? (Did you have to farm?)
I feel as though The Rift completely alienates newer players, especially with the broken matchmaking recently, as they will have to play characters they have absolutely no experience with, which could make some of the challenges nearly impossible unless they farm.
That's also a problem I have with the new Rift as well, in which some of the challenges will be literally impossible unless they pay more for the game, which indirectly raises the price of entry into the Rift.
These issues are something I think BHVR should take more of a look into in the future, Incorporate The Rift without making the player feel as though they need to farm to complete the challenges as well as redesign the challenges so that they don't artificially make the Rift cost more money, as it could be a real turn-off for the newer players, and seen as unfair.
The Rift as a whole seems like something designed with only vets of the game in mind.
Just a thought I saw as worth sharing.
-
I seriously don't understand the backlash with having a FNAF character in game because they "aren't scary", and yet we have Clown, Legion, Oni, Bubba... actually... none of the killers are actually scary after like a few hours of playing other than Ghostie and Myers since they get jumpscares. The animatronics in Nightmare form might be the scariest looking killers and yet people are opposed to it... because a lot of younger children like it.
Anyways, onto the post:
This is actually really good! There are a few tweaks I would make though.
I think keeping the Fazbear traps available to all that you mentioned would be pretty fair if you reduce the total number of traps that can be placed. 7 sounds fine.
I think that instead of taking away the immobilization, replace it with survivors being Hindered for 3 seconds (or until injured) and lower the Oblivious effect to 20 seconds (or until injured).
Springtrap should start the trial in Blindspot mode without notification to the survivors. He should also be able to place traps in this mode, so maybe he can get some set up for easy hits when he finds his first survivor.
I think the speed in Blindspots should be reduced. Maybe he's like 4.9 m/s instead of max speed Spirit, as that may be a bit too much. Also, I think the Undetectable effect should be cut in half, same as Demo, 3 seconds.
Hmm... interesting proposal I have. Instead of hard-locking Springtrap's Blindspots to 30 seconds, make it 45 seconds, with each trap still in your arsenal reducing 3 seconds. Will all traps still being held, you can get down to 24 seconds of cooldown!
This is a really good concept, and I was excited to see it on the homepage! Keep up the good work!

Try out the ptb first you and other killers are acting like small kids, and it's really sad that you and the other killers are overreacting.:(
Also let me remind you killer mains survivors said simlier things before this change. And oh my now killers are saying the same thing, oh nooo what are we going to do I know let's complain and threaten to leave this game cause the devs cater to survivors and only want money rip dbd,
You are acting like small kids. just stop. And test out the ptb.
The thing is that I'm not a killer main. I feel bad for killer mains because the devs refuse to actually acknowledge the real issue and why Ruin is used so much.
I don't care that the perk is good or not. I care that the devs continue to ignore the communities frustrations.

Go back to page 5 of this thread. You mention spirit on at least two different posts. How can my arguments be mixed when you don't remember what you posted
You need to go back. You're bringing up the stats about Nurse in relation to Spirit. You're the one that doesn't remember what was posted lol.
You're literally the one that bought up the stats stating insinuating Nurse was the worst killer. I mentioned Spirit being one of the best killers initially, before these stats were even mentioned. I don't understand how you don't even understand your own discussion.

Even if they fix the bug, it's still hard to hear footsteps while playing as spirit. So there is plenty of counterplay. Just because you can't jump a window and escape her doesn't mean she's op.
I can go with the stats presented to me, knowing they are flawed, or I can base everything off of your spirit experience. I think I know which is more dependable.
You're so mixed up with your arguments that you don't even understand what I presented to you anymore.
I said nothing about stats and Spirit.
You're still straw-manning. I said nothing about me playing against Spirit.
Ah well, this is a Ruin thread anyways. I shouldn't care anymore lol.

The same devs that said nurse add one, not the base kit, were going to be changed right? Yeah that's a trustworthy source. And the stats are the only things the devs have given us to go off of so that's the data to use. Walking seems to be a good option to seeing as how the sound bug is still going on. Just because you can't loop a spirit doesn't mean everyone else can't.
Saying discussion over does not mean it is, it means you have no more intelligent things to say.
Uh... wut?
The stats are extremely unreliable as not only do they not account for the absolutely broken matchmaking, they don't account for variables such as survivors suiciding on the hook or others. Anything else you wanna pull from those stats?
"Walking is a valid counter because of a bug" - yeah, no. You don't balance a game around bugs, and the bug doesn't even effect everybody.
I love how you also attributed my inability to outplay Spirit to the core issue, without a shred of evidence. I play Spirit, and it's boring easy. I've seen way to many Spirit games and how you can abuse her lack of actionable feedback.

No, because I played for this game it should be in a quality state, and I deserve to play it as such, no exceptions.

Then go ahead. If you’re so dependent on ONE perk then you don’t even deserve to be playing killer.
In fact, you don’t even deserve to be playing this game if you’re going to bash the devs for a needed change.
The perk isn’t even live yet, just wait it out. Inpatient people.
How dare you tell us what we deserve? We PAYED to play this game. By default, we deserve a game that is fun to play on both sides. Giving constant nerfs out to killers recently, BHVR is showing to us that they don't understand their own game, and that they don't care.
They showed us with the Tomes. They showed us with the Legion changes. They show console players every day they play on 10-25 frames. They keep showing us that our feedback does not matter to them.
We deserve a game that is fun to play. This is another nail in the coffin.

At least I have the brain cells to flex. The nurse nerf was overkill. Her point is to force survivors to adapt to her unique power. The nerf made her like everyone else. Spirit was never overpowered to begin with. And the larger point is they ignored the ptb and forum feedback on all of it
Yes, the Nurse nerf was overkill, but she's still the best killer in the game lol? I dunno how she's like everyone else when she can still move through every obstacle.
Prayer Beads was broken OP. And she's still basically the same, as she still has the easiest mindgames in the game, just stand still at a loop and it's a guaranteed down.
-
Legion and Ruin fine, but people who complain about Nurse, who COMPLETELY IGNORES all survivor defenses, and Spirit, who only got add-on tweaks and is still unbelievably easy to play as and unfun to play against due to her "go AFK to mindgame" is moronic. They're still the two strongest killers in the game, just flex an extra brain cell.
-
Here are my top 5:
- Black Incense
- Iridescent Head
- Fragrant Tuft of Hair
- Judith's Tombstone
- Iridescent King
I would like to see more unique add-ons, such as Nurse's new ones in the future, and all add-ons, current and future should take the approach of Nurse's.
-
Pretty sure that people are so strongly opposed to a FNAF chapter is because the toxic side of the community.
A FNAF chapter actually does have quite a lot of potential. The Nightmare animatronics would probably be the scariest killers in terms of aesthetic in the game. There's a lot of creativity that can come with their power. The story is pretty dark and complex too.
No survivor is fine, because multiple killers in the same chapter and potential for a nice creepy indoor twisted children's place map.
Plus, more player attraction, which means not players, meaning shorter queue times.
-
I think adding two Nightmares would be fine.
OG Freddy = OG DBD Freddy
New Movie Freddy = Reworked DBD Freddy
They could even make their faces a but different and I think that'd be great.
-
Console Optimization
Cross-Progress/Play
Legion and Doctor Changes
Map Reworks (AND LESS BADHAM)
Ghost Face and Myers Stalking through corn
Dedicated Servers actually working
More things to do in general
-
I like the idea, but your execution isn't ideal. Instead, have one survivor out of the four be given additional options to mess with the killer, and make it REALLY HARD. Maybe something like this survivor has 3 health states but can be Mori'd instantly when downed. This survivor also cannot stay injured for an extensive amount of time, or they will go down a health state. This survivor cannot repair gens, unhook, or heal other survivors. It can't be too powerful, but should also be beneficial to the survivor team if used correctly.

I have been trying all day, around 15 games or so, not all of them were DC's, some were just me not being able to get them all down there. (Crazy how much limiting yourself to one section of the map cripples you unless the survivors don't feel like living.)
Last 4 games in a row someone has DCed the second they see Iron Grasp/agi, unusually before a gens even done. In those games I just stopped playing and let them escape, but pretty soon im just going to DC along with them.
All I can do is just hope the next lobby has the potato survivors again.
Smurf for the challenge. Rank 20s don't DC, right?
Excellent challenge, BHVR. I wanna Mori myself.
-
It doesn't work, which is stupid.
You need to get hit 3 times before it works and it doesn't protect you from one-shots, AND reveals your aura permanently.
Needs another buff.
-
If they really want us to do THOSE challenges, the rewards should be 100K points, at least.
Those challenges are atrocious. I refuse to do those in that state. I'll save myself the trouble and play the game normally.
