Except with the mountain of killer nerfs, the ratio of advancement to sacrifice has heavily slanted in survivor favor. If you get 4 survivors running commodious boxes and a map offering, killer doesn't stand a chance. That's why no one wants to play killer and why the queue is so long.
Killers have received mostly buffs over time?
Also it was a bit disingenuous for me to say that it has nothing to do with queue time. It is a smaller part of the reason why queue time is so long. The primary reason is because of what I said above.

He explained the title fine, he just used metaphors. You're not in control as the killer. The survivors set the pace and all you can do is react to it. Picking a strong killer gives you a shot, but its still miserable. Survivor's should be the ones that stress.
That's the very foundation of the game. Survivors advance the game, while killers sacrifice. That has nothing to do with why survivor queue times are long.

So according to your theory, since there are more high rank players now, shouldn't their be more high rank killers as well? That's where there's a hole in your theory. Not all killers depipped after the rank reset, it's just there's no one WANTING to play high rank killer. It was never as easy of an answer as you made it seem.
Assuming you are a high rank player, can you tell me without a doubt that you've gone up against mostly red rank killers? Because if that's the case then you are an exception to every screenshot, streamer, and other forum member on here who has experienced otherwise.
You didn't actually read my post, did you?
Lemme highlight the crucial piece of info for you.
"Since there are more survivor players and more of them can stay in high ranks, there are too many."
Because of this, survivor queue times are drastically increased, and then they are matched with lower ranked killers.
It doesn't even take a ton of research to know this, it's just deductive reasoning.

You didn't explain the reason for your theory, if you actually read my post, you'd see that I did. Nice try calling it clickbait though.
It's not a theory. Since the rank reset changes, more people can easily stay in high ranks. Since there are more survivor players and more of them can stay in high ranks, there are too many. Have you noticed that more red rank survivors are actually not good at the game?
Your post was an analogy of your personal frustrations with the game.
Clickbait, indeed.
-
You didn't explain the title. For those who got clickbaited and are looking for an answer:
There are too many survivors and not enough killers in high ranks.
-
I'll cheat w/ three changes for Ghostie:
- the range of which downed and hooked survivors can reveal Ghostie is reduced by 50%
- hitting survivors who aren't fully marked reduces it's progression partially
- reduced Night Shroud Recharge by 10 seconds
Nurse:
- allow Blinks to recharge while charging
Trapper:
- can grab traps from lockers (in turn max amount of traps increased to 10)
Small Game:
- remove cooldown (essentially, make it Spill Chill for totems)
-
Clown, Legion, and Leatherface all need reworks.
Clown needs to be less boring. Something more than throw bottle at loop = profit or survivor runs to next loop anyways. He has no map pressure and isn't strong in a chase.
Legion is boring. Either you play tunnel Legion or normal Legion. Tunnel Legion is awful, and even still, normal Legion isn't fun to play as or against, as he's just Deep Wound sim. The group needs to be incorporated into the power so he's more than just the devs' easy cosmetic cash grab. Feral Frenzy needs to be dramatically changed and they need a power that can both apply pressure and use the full group.
Camp man is braindead easy to play against and extremely unoriginal. It's like the devs intended for Hillbilly to be Leatherface but then they got him after they made Hillbilly. Heavy changes needed.

Who says powerful perks need to be problem perks?
People already see the most powerful perks as a problem. DS is a problem for many (forum topic every 10 minutes), if anyone runs Object people complain, people hate NOED, etc. If perks more powerful than these perks are added to the game, it's going to become an even bigger problem.
Also power creep would kinda feel like the game is pay to win.
-
These same people who complain about perks that are already in the meta will then complain even more.
You guys would not like the replacement perk for DS, trust me.
Introducing redundancy will allow BHVR to address problem perks first. If every perk is a problem, then the game as a whole suffers.

Only to the obtuse.
You're comparing key and Moris which can instantly end the game to killer powers and perks which can be countered.
Once again, your comment makes no sense. Try again.

Fine get rid of keys and moris and every perk/addon/offering/power that allows for either instadowns or insta kills--noed, devour hope, instadown hatchets, all the Myers garbage and we have a deal.
This comment makes literally no sense.

Freddys Lunge is the same as any other Killer. He just looks odd because he is so small and has not a big weapon.
Interesting... Killers sure do all have the same lunge range for the most part. Missed this change somehow lol.
-
Hey, as someone that's a red rank survivor and purple ranked killer, I'll bring you up to speed with killer gripes.
Speed of the game is a big issue. Many on both survivor and killer sides complain that the game is just too fast. Gens can be completed too quickly, and while the issue has been partially alleviated due to toolbox changes, the game is still pretty fast with perks like Prove Thyself and Leader along with gen-stacking.
Map size is a big problem. Because most killers don't have much mobility, someone like The Ghost Face will struggle on large maps like Red Forest. Map size needs to be toned down to allow all killers to apply pressure aptly.
Second chance / game winning perks. There are a few very problematic perks that can allow one of the sides to make every mistake possible and still win the game. Perks such as Object of Obsession, No One Escapes Death, and Decisive Strike can instantly turn over the game in favor of one side even if said side made a ton of mistakes.
Keys and Moris are also a huge issue. These can both win the game almost instantly, especially Moris. Many players request that keys are changed to something like only opening the hatch for one player with a Dull Key and giving an unlock animation so the killer can stop the survivor before unlocking the hatch. Moris should probably be changed to only activating once all survivors are hooked at least once.
-
Dream Pallets are ridiculous. There is no reason for Freddy to have up to TEN CHANCES to instantly end a chase as long as a survivor is asleep.
Omega slowdown builds are also extremely annoying, because it's almost like Old Ruin, stacked on full Dying Light, stacked on Thanatophobia. There's NO reason for an add-on that slows down the game such an exponential amount to be tied to a killer's power that activates automatically.
He also has an unnecessarily long lunge, in my opinion. -
Enjoy being terrible at the game then. GG no RE, play a different killer with actual map pressure or have fun with the game as opposed to sweating so hard you give your house water damage.
-
just play claudette
-
Yes, PLEASE add a Hawkins shack.
Every map should have a "shack-like" structure actually, preferably in their respective themes.
-
Obviously they can, but something fishy is definitely going on when DBD produces a tiny fraction of say... what Warframe does in the same time span but they have more employees and it's less polished. I often wonder what their development even is like because balance comes so slow it's like they're only a team of 25 people working on the actual game while 100 people work on the art and characters.
-
I would like to rework Ruin at this point to specifically cripple those who ever dare harm Dwights, Fengs, Nancys, and Ghosties.
That is all.
-
I'm fine with losing provided the loss isn't from some BS thing that shouldn't be in the game like face camping / tunneling / playing Ghostie on Red Forest against 4 Rank 1s / Nurse not blinking because she doesn't feel like it anymore.
DBD is great at making me hate it though.
I wonder when my next DBD is gonna come along. DBD is my new Warframe kinda lol.
-
Ayrun's pretty good.
-
But... why?
Hag is a pretty strong killer and her power is fine. These changes seem overly complicated and would be much better suited on a new Killer with some tweaking.
-
For the love of god survivors who will die on the last hook anyways have no purpose in being Mori-ed, as they're already dead. It needs to be changed to everyone needing to be hooked once instead.
Key's should take about 10 seconds to use and reveal the survivor/hatch aura to the killer.
Also Moris shouldn't be secret lol.
-
Nancy walked directly past him while he wasn't paying attention, which is why the game didn't end in three minutes.

No I play on PS4, and deal with it all the time. Consider yourself lucky.
In certain skins her shards will shiver, not in all of them.
Trust me, it's not just her shards, her entire body from the neck down goes a bit translucent and begins to shimmer, which is the weirdest thing ever lol. Might be a bug with the skins.
-
Sound bug doesn't happen on PS4 from as far as I can tell.
Also you can SEE when Spirit is phasing now for some reason lol. Her entire body shimmers which is weird but also how it should be.
-
NOTES:
- No, the killer's name does not come from my IGN/forum name lol. The Fallen is representative of someone falling from grace or falling to "the dark side." It just happened to match up, which was really nice and kinda funny lol.
- A lot of the add-ons for What Once Was do not correlate with each other because one, I created the add-ons only in name first, and then what they do in backwards order (from Iridescent to common), and two, I ran out of ideas halfway through lol.
- Oddest One Out is a perk idea inspired by @CL4P_TRAP_ER 's Odd One Out idea. Thanks!
- At some point in writing this (took 3 days lol) I forgot what What Once Was was supposed to even do, forgive me if I made a few mistakes that may make the power broken OP or completely useless.
- I forgot to add a cooldown to Late Night Study, changing now!

Even if they buff him:
- He will still be an unimaginative killer
- He still won't appeal to many people outside of America who aren't into cowboys
- He'll still be a lesser Huntress wannabe
- He still won't fit in the game
- He still won't be scary
- He will still be unplayable on console
- He still won't be Pinhead
thought this was a joke but then i saw it got upvotes lol

Did you even read what i wrote? 😂 Ok a summary 4 you:
revert too basic attack
2 basic attack -> condition
condition -> consumed -> broken
BROKEN 4 THE END OF THE TRIAL
so revert to basic hit, reduce to just 2 hits, but after you got hit during the condition you get broken for the end of the trail
That's not reverting it then, it's completely changing how the power works and actually MAKES IT WORSE since you're broken for the remainder of the trial. Awful changes.
-
Reset by one color, but also by the placing of that one color.
Ex: If you were Rank 4 when the reset occurs, you are moved back to Rank 8. If you were Rank 1 when the reset occurs, you are moved back to Rank 5.
-
Infectious will be of little use to Freddy. Survivors will often be asleep which is not considered a Terror Radius.
Make Your Choice is okay? Freddy won't really get excellent use out of it unless you're kinda camping the hook since Freddy is supposed to be all around the map.
Devour is a good choice on Freddy but not with the Dream Pallets. Use Snares, always (also less annoying for survivors).
Monitor is pretty much useless on Freddy.
Definitely replace Infectious and Monitor with BBQ and Pop. Make Your Choice can be replaced with something like Dying Light, Discordance, or Thrilling Tremors, which will always let know know where to Dream Project or at least slow down gens a bit.

@Onyx_Blue said:
@thefallenloser Well, considering that Myers and Oni exist, slugging isn't exactly someting shyed away from lol
Plus it's a cooldown perk, and Basic Attack only. Which means Billy, Bubba, Plague, Huntress, Pig, Demogorgon, Oni all need to M1/RT/R2 hit you in order to gain this effect; and can only use it on one survivor at a time. So it doesn't stack with Infectious Fright. And if an Oni is using this perk, what's new if he slugs? Most Oni's play that way anyway.
The huge difference here is that survivors can still be active. Survivors can recover or crawl to teammates, meaning they aren't literally completely helpless for half a minute. Teammates can still quickly pick them up and get away. With this perk, there's almost zero chance they can get up.
-
Just cleanse Totems.
I agree with @ALostPuppy , just give survivors the Exposed status when all gens are done.
-
This is an awful perk. Slug2Win would become the meta.
This actually sounds like a game breaking perk.
-
What genius wanted decided to work on the killers who are almost completely fine first before the worst killers in the game?

I disagree with you on billy but I respect your willingness to keep stating it despite the ######### you usually get.
I kinda stopped listening after they tried to get Ghost Face nerfed lol.
-
Then the trial warmup can be abused by slugging killers so that it'd never end and survivors can't do gens.
-
Dumb friend messed around with my computer and erased what I was typing, but basically, I really like the concept, and have a few ideas that'd make some of the perks/abilities a bit better.
The Druid's Terror Radius is oddly large for someone barely faster than survivors. Maybe a reduction to 20 meters would be ideal, seeing as The Wolf's Radius is 30. A 2 meter difference is pretty negligible.
The Ravens are a bit confusing. Other than on Backwater Swamp's main structures, there are no flocks of crows, so unless The Ravens have areas of influence that are like 15-20 meters, they won't get much use, though it might be fine, as that'd be near constant notifications. Crows do tend to spawn fairly wide apart.
The Druid should definitely be able to see the auras of the The Wolf and the captured survivor w/o any add-ons, otherwise, how's he supposed to find them?
Dusty Horn seems a bit powerful. A startled raven for 30 entire seconds of deafness is a bit too much.
Battered Crest is kinda a meme add-on lol. It should probably increase the effectiveness of their effect as well.
Will-O-The-Wisp is something I mentioned should be changed earlier. The Druid should be able to see the aura of The Wolf and the captured w/o the add-on, just like The Trapper can see the aura of survivors caught by his traps.
Complementing you on the amazingly created Stone Cube.
For Wolf's Head, there should probably be an additional reduction in link time, as The Wolf moves at an insane 5.2 m/s. It'd be impossible to not down a survivor unless the link time is dramatically reduced.
Nature's Wrath is pretty weak. You'd only be able to down and hook two survivors before the perk is completely gone. Tokens should only be lost when hooking a survivor.
Hex: Wisps' Will sounds AWESOME!
Subtle Presence would be a lot better just making the Killer Undetectable for 90 seconds at the beginning of the match.
Unveil The Wicked is a bit confusing. What does "duration relative to the Hex Totem mean? It should just proc Blindness and reveal their aura to the team for 10 seconds for a Hex Totem and 5 seconds for a Dull Totem.
Wrathful Smite sounds hilarious LMAO. Just imagining the pallet instantly smacking down on The Huntress' head and her mad screeching while the pallet broke over her lol.
I love your ideas @ImmersedPootisBird ! Keep up the great work!

I think that trap disarming should be changed. Instead of setting off the trap and making an unavoidable loud noise, what if the survivor lodges something into the hinge to prevent it from closing?
While I do agree that trapping the exit gates with only one survivor left is completely unwinnable as the survivor, how could lodging the traps avoid abuse?
-
Survivor games are hilariously easy. My rank 20 friends are even having a good escape rate. Killer games depend on which killer I play. My main, Ghostie, simply cannot put out enough pressure in the current state of the game. However, I'm having a bit of fun with the new Doc, and I'm trying out Myers more. Next, I'll try playing some Hillybillyboi.
