Yes the windows are broken ONLY if you run balance landing. Less windows and more pallets
Certain killers haven't a prayer there. Against a competent survivor, Huntress can't do much of anything. Hear her lullaby? Run to a house, use windows and position yourself according to her humming direction... She cannot do anything.

M&A = 16m terror radius Freddy = Absolutely Deadly.

That map is stinky poo poo.

In return, Meg gets a different perk.

I would make the following balance changes, if I was king.
1) Rework Adrenaline - Remove the instant heal, keep the speed increase. When it activates, survivors get 80/90/100 seconds of 50% increased action speeds on everything.
2) Out of chase speed increase for killers (with obvious exceptions for Huntress/Nurse/Hillbilly, etc., because that would be OP) - For every 40 seconds not spent in a chase before End Game Collapse/Last Generator Completed, killers get a stacking 5% movement speed buff up to a maximum of 150%, where they get 110% static movement speed for 2 seconds upon start of chase, then back up to their normal speed.
3) Rework chase distance mechanic - Because of change 2), chases should activate upon sight of survivor in killer's POV, adjust emblems, perks, etc. accordingly.
4) Remove chase music entirely - Balance accordingly, make survivors completely silent if they crouch still for 5 seconds, unless within 2m of killer.
5) Remove NOED from the game

What the hell happened? Things weren't that bad around Spirit's Midchapter patch. Honestly, I'd rather go back to that patch.

I forget, was Clown the last killer Starbreeze had any input on?

This is going to be a roaring dumpster fire that makes Freddy's canonical death look like you're roasting S'Mores.

I used to think she was unplayable until I changed over to a stall build.
Thanatophobia + Ruin + Pop Goes the Weasel + Agitation
Seems to work fairly well, especially when combo with her ultra rare that lets you see auras of vomiting survivors b/c you don't have to spend a perk slot on a detection perk.
This pretty much forces survivors to use fountains otherwise they are getting a 16% repair penalty. Carry dying survivors over to a generator being repaired, hook them, kick gen... Rinse repeat.

Isn't Suzie the good student who ended up in a bad crowd?

You basically play her as a M1 killer now imo, and use your power like Billy, get right behind the survs to puke on them so they can't dodge it and pray for the puke to get them to broken ASAP.
Her huge flaw is that she needs good addons for the puke to deal enough "damage" that you don't waste alot of time in chases.
I've found that using Thanatophobia and Pop Goes the Weasel on Plague makes her bearable to play. It's the only way to deal with everyone nowadays ignoring fountains.

@tehshadowman33 nope. They just get powered, but the Survivor still needs the 20 second channel to open them.
Oh? That's actually pretty good then. If this is going to be a game mechanic, then they'll need to make it fair by changing the exit gate locations on some maps, or put up vision blockers.
Some maps both gates are on one side.
-
I would like to know the hard numbers though of how long it would take the bar to fully drain if lets say... Someone's in dying state as soon as an exit gates is opened.
It's pretty obvious that a survivor will bleed out to death or die by hook progression long before the endgame collapse timer goes off.
In terms of rarity, Pig's Reverse Bear Trap kills and Survivors Kobe'ing will happen with much more frequency than an Endgame collapse going off. I find this funny, but yes, I'm aware that the endgame collapse is NOT a mechanic to guarantee survivors die, but merely to stop griefing/toxic play.
I wanna know if you can close hatch if someone uses a skeleton key.

@BBQnDemogorgon said:
@Sergei_K They still have to open the gates.
If you run whispers they'll never be able to open it because it'll turn off if they head to the other.
I was under the impression that by closing the hatch, the exit gates (both of them) automatically open up.

No, you're not crazy.

Been playing a lot of plague, My current build is BBQ&C, Brutal Strength, Corrupt Intervention, Thanatophobia. My favorite add-on's are the ones that decrease cooldown time, or increase effectiveness of vile purge. The reason I'm using Thanatophobia is because Many survivors have adopted the tactic of staying sick all match until the gates are powered in order to prevent Plague from getting her Corrupt Purge power boost. Thanatophobia makes it so that if they use this tactic they add 12 seconds to gen repair time giving me more time to find and down them. It usually encourages them to give me my Super Puke, which incidentally screws them over even more. CI is fun for the start of the trial as it lets me puke on the 4 closest gens to me on a patrol and infects anyone who touches them in the first 2 minutes, as well as leading to some early knock downs. The other perks have their obvious advantages. but my favorite add-on combo is double Cooldown, or best cooldown + purge effectiveness.
Double cooldown = machine gun puking with minimal slowdown which makes for very quick chases, whereas Cooldown + effectiveness again gives me faster movement and purge recovery speed but also means I can puke less on a survivor to break them faster and also end the chase quickly, just (strangely) not as quick as double cooldowns does.
So far this build has been a decent one, but i'm still unlocking perks for her and have yet to experiment with much else, but for an all around decent basic build for her, it's been great.
Not a bad build.
My personal build is:
Agitation, Thanatophobia, Discordance, Hex: Ruin/Play With Your Food
The goal is to get maximum movement speed across the map to get maximum map pressure, while forcing survivors through Thanatophobia to use fountains or get downed in one hit.
You down one survivor and then carry them to a hook nearby a generator where an injured/broken survivor is working.
:)

I always believed that the 2017 Halloween theme was the best fit for the game, the atmosphere it created was rather haunting, and gave me chills when I was first starting the game. I still think it’s one of the best themes to date. Anyone who hasn’t heard it should definitely take a listen

@harry14141414 oh wow injured state? Such a great power jeez. Its not like not healing is meta right now anyway.
Yep, pretty much being injured doesn't matter anymore because of Adrenaline's ability to secure the end game for survivors.
I have to run a specialty build on Plague to make her even viable at red ranks.
In red ranks yesterday as Plague, I had a close match. For the latter 40% of that match, all 4 survivors were broken and getting a 16% Thanatophobia repair speed penalty. They broke ruin around the two minute mark. I only barely managed to slug all 4 survivors with 1 generator left, which was almost completed. I only achieved this by having enough map pressure through using Agitation perk to carry survivors to hooks near a generator where another injured survivor was working.....
I think that says a lot about things. o_O
Oh by the way, three of them were running Adrenaline.

I will need to test to have an opinion. Legion's cooldown addons had better not be nerfed to uselessness.
-
OK, I found a build that actually works.
Throw Thanatophobia into your build. You force survivors to use fountains, otherwise generators take them long enough for you to patrol the map. They can't cheese the game while staying broken.

Maybe, have you ever considered, that its the player, not the killer for once?
I can easily do way more with Wraith, a killer typically thought of as lower middle tier at best.
She's garbage tier.

Seriously, you all must be completely delusional.
Plague is #########.
You can do more with Wraith.
Huntress is pretty much leagues above Plague.

I know I asked for people to ignore me but I have something to say now lol. Reading this thread I just keep saying to my self:
Why are people holding her power so much?
The only time you should be is when you are in a chase and close enough to make use of it, otherwise you are almost 100% of the time better off just firing it in short bursts or not at all. Walking around while holding it was viable on the PTB but now you shouldn't be doing it at all, and there is no benefit to using long shots to hit objects, it just slows you down.
TBH the only change I would like to see is increase how many points she gets for using her power. Like damn, +25 for puking on something? Lame.
I'd agree she isn't top tier but I def wouldn't say she's bad. I still don't think you really understand how she works or how to use her effectively.
OK, then what build do you recommend?
She's heavily, heavily reliant on whatever the survivors do.
If they're using fountains, she has options.
If they ignore fountains, she's just a M1 killer in a game where everyone's got No Mither.
-
@gantes said:
Please OP don't give people who don't know how to play Plague yet another thread to complain mindlessly abour her while she's still a high tier killer.
Thank you.
She's definitely not high tier. Not even close.
You're more likely to have better games as Wraith.
-
I agree though with NuclearBurrito.
She needs the 115% movement speed while fully charged to stay relevant.
-
@SnakeSound222 said:
I agree. She is a bottom 3 Killer. Only Leatherface and Legion are worse than Plague.
Yeah, she can quickly put a Survivor in the Broken state, but after that she becomes a powerless 115% Killer who can easily be looped. Corrupt Purge is strong but if you hide from her when it's active, she won't be able to use it. The Survivors can also get a free instaheal by cleansing the sickness. I'm trying to get her Adept but it's extremely difficult due to how bad she is and she only has one good perk. Infectious Fright tells you that someone's nearby and can possibly give you an extra down (however I think it should show auras instead of just showing the location). Survivors will just hide while Corrupt Intervention is active and Dark Devotion can easily be avoided by looking around and listening for the Killer's breathing. Her nerfs and the requirements for the Adept Killer achievements need to be undone. She was hit too hard by the nerfs. Getting Merciless with her and the new ranking system is nearly impossible in the current build. I actually managed to get really close to Merciless one time, only to be screwed over because she has nothing against gen rush and the pip system is steaming garbage (I had Silver Gatekeeper, the other three Emblems were Iridescent).
I would say it's controversial, but hear me out.
Leatherface, in some cases, is actually better than Plague.
If you've got super competent survivors (ones who would never use a fountain) and a map like sheltered woods, which has lots of open areas, then Leatherface is better.
You won't waste time applying broken status, you'll just get your instant down and then straight to hook. Waiting to get someone broken wastes time. Leatherface also can mindgame pallets to make people drop them early, so you can get to break them faster with his chainsaw... Plague can't do that.
-
Fun facts:
1) If a survivor is broken and slugged, they'll get up once Adrenaline goes off. Totally fun!
2) There's an invincibility time survivors get after being hit with Corrupt Purge. You can't hit a survivor with corrupt purge twice in rapid succession unless you wait a bit! Totally fair!
3) Hitting/Downing multiple survivors at one time with Corrupt Purge only gives you a scoring event for hitting/downing one survivor! How thrifty!
4) If a survivor heals using a fountain, you won't know which fountain it is unless it's the first fountain used in the match. Likewise, same as survivors, you cannot see all fountains on the map at any one time, you'll only see some when you're close enough for them to be within drawing distance.
PLAGUE IS DOGSHIT BAD.
At least Wraith has good map pressure 2nd only to Billy or Nurse from being able to get across the map, plus Wraith denies pallets by body blocking.
What does Plague do? Make people broken. WOW! SO GOOD! /s

@Trikset do you not know what a sidegrade is?
Eh it's not a common term to use so I guess that's fair if you don't.
Basically a sidegrade is a set of changes which individually are buffs and nerfs but combined even out to end up with the same overall power. So if you decreased the recharge time but buff frenzy movement speed or something then if you get the numbers right it is a sidegrade. The post PTB Plague changes are a good example, she got a big nerf (lowered MS during purge full charge) but also a lot of buffs at the same time (increased MS during initial charge, corrupt on all cleansed ect) which cancel each other out when combined.
You nerf the cheesy strats but then buff alternative strategy's at the same time so he's overall as strong as before. Maybe even over buff him since he is weak RN. But either way removing a cheesy strat on it's own is a nerf, but you don't have to just make one change and stop there, that's just silly and I hate when people have that mindset (it is surprisingly common).
Plague got a straight up nerf. The buffs didn't balance out.
If Adrenaline didn't exist, MoM didn't exist, Deliverance didn't exist then maybe it would be a fair trade off, but overall it just weakened her chase game... Which wasn't offset by any enhanced tracking/map pressure ability... Being broken isn't that awful if you can just loop the plague while 3 other survivors do generators.
Hell, if you're slugged and adrenaline pops, you'll get up even when you're broken! Total fun.
There's also an invincibility time survivors get after being hit with corrupt purge. You can't hit them with corrupt purge twice in succession unless you wait a bit.
-
She'd be better if she could gain corrupt purge without having to travel to that specific fountain.
Rebalance around it. Maybe press ctrl within 32 m of used fountain?
-
I'm tempted to make Nerf 2) of Flavor A more survivor-sided as it's probably too punishing for survivors who are probably going to get facecamped.
We could make Nerf 2) of Flavor A, so that it works like Flavor B:
If you get unhooked in killer's terror radius, you get the heal and speed burst.
Outside the killer's terror radius, once unhooked, you only get the speed burst.
That might make it more fair in case killer wants to tunnel in the late game.
-
I think Flavor B is probably the better and more reasonable idea on how to nerf adrenaline though.
What do you folks think?
Flavor A is probably too punishing because you might almooooost be recharged on Sprint Burst, or Dead Hard and someone does the last generator, thus denying you your heal. :/
-
The Clown Map seems pretty fair.
Suffocation pit too.
-
Also.
Plague has the embarrassing problem shared with the Doctor in that if you're right in front their face, their power doesn't work.

Base = Leatherface (low midtier)

Worse than Myers because at least Myers has a tiny terror radius.
You waste time searching for survivors as Plague.
You can approach from a good position as Myers too, run them into a death box with no pallets.

Maybe I'm missing something here.
Does she not have the same movement speed as the Trapper, Wraith, Myers, The Clown etc.?
If the Trapper and Leatherface are fast enough to patrol gens then she is too.
Trapper can lock down a quadrant of an entire map, even though I think he's still awfully predictable as a killer.
Wraith has movement speed in cloak form.
Myers has instant down once he hits T3, which gives him an end game presence.
Clown completely negates looping unless you want to be punished for looping.
Plague's gimmick does not help her at all stall the game out, or end chases faster.
-
@Blueberry said:
Removing the heal on the fountains would be a start. That destroys all of her map pressure which is why she gets genrushed. There probably also needs to be an increasing penalty for just ignoring fountains and choosing to stay infected though. The broken status isn't enough incentive with how overly strong pallets still are.
Yep. The loop is strong. I mean, she basically makes everyone have no mither, but good players can just maximize the loop time with her, and she cannot do anything about it.
Once the last gen pops, everyone just heals with fountain.
No momentum with this killer at all.
Zero incentive to use fountains before gates are powered.

Ok. But how is them constantly being injured, and unable to heal, make her worse than Leatherface or just other 115% M1 Killers that they can heal on, like the Trapper and Wraith?
I honestly don't see the issue if everyone is constantly one hit from going down.
Because you don't have anything to stall the mid game or end game. You don't have the movement speed to check gens. Her early game is possibly the worst (aside from Trapper) in the entire game's roster of killers. If you're not doing well late game with Plague, you're screwed.
-
Huntress WILL hit you with hatches during a loop with a long wall.
Plague cannot do that. Plague is huntress speed when charging/holding her vomit, this makes her Huntress but with less utility.
-
@Zanfer said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/407316#Comment_407316
The OP is talking about a high risk/reward strat against her. If no one cleanses yes everyone can be m1 once for down. If no one makes a mistake the plague can't do anything and is a killer that can be looped having nothing to down the survivors besides her m1.
@tehshadowman33 please confirm if I understood what you said.
Yep, that's it in a nutshell.
It's a problem that's exacerbated on large maps.
Plus, even if they don't heal... Once last gen pops they all go for free heals, then go for the gate... EZ WIN (except for maybe the one survivor you're chasing while last gen pops, who then gets adrenaline speed rush).

Dark devotion is just garbage
SpaceCoconuts did a good roasting of this bad perk.
It has too many restrictions to make it useful.
1) It has a cooldown
2) you must basic attack the obsession
3) It only lasts 20 seconds
For this activated perk, you can only make it work in two situations:
1) Obsession gets hits by you, escapes for 30 seconds, you find them again later and hit them again into dying state. Survivors are nearby but don't see you do this. Perk activates. You run short distance and ambush someone within 20 seconds.
2) Hit obsession into injured state. Nobody sees you do this. Obsession runs opposite direction of you. You run to opposite side of map with 5 seconds to spare and ambush someone. You must find survivor in time.
The odds of you finding a survivor outside the terror radius in 20 seconds is very slim. This perk is garbage.
-
Actually, now that I think about it, even BETTER than original BT... Because if the killer ######### up... and attacks too early, the survivor being unhooked has invincibility frames.

Yeah, I think it's beyond goofy they've gone all out with this Twitch sponsorship and such given the timing of all this other BS (though it was probably always in the pipeline, so they couldn't delay when things were better).
In a time where the level of bugs is at a whole new pain level due to them updating to the newest version of Unreal engine... A vast majority of the bugs negatively affecting killers more than survivors.
When they buff a second chance perk, then introduce a new one, the latter basically making coordinated SWF that much stronger, especially against M1 killers.
