  • I just thought of another automated trigger.

    If you're using a red mori, or Michael's insta-kill.

If three survivors are mori'd, if you DC when killer picks you up... That's a strike!

  • Other than the above trigger, it's much harder to create something that would detect blatantly obvious toxic behavior.

  • Seriously. Set up automated triggers.

If someone DC's and another survivor jumps through the hatch within 20 seconds? Both get a strike... Three of this specific strike within a 6 month period and you're banned!

    Problem solved!

  • Seriously. You don't want to play? GREAT!

Go AFK. They have built in mechanics for that... Crows.

Just don't go AFK and body block, because then that's holding the game hostage.

  • The fact that you have so many survivors playing that think in a specific situation they are entitled to DC... It's just toxic.

You don't go to a tournament, show up, get wrekt, and then flip the table over and then expect a tournament judge not to ban your ass from showing up ever again.

  • They need to bring down the all-mighty ban hammer.

NO, I CANNOT BE BANNED FOR SLUGGING. SLUGGING IS A GAME MECHANIC. SLUGGING DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO DISCONNECT FROM THE GAME.

  • Pretty much all of the killer perks will be make or break depending on how long the timer is on them.

If they aren't long enough, they're going straight to the garbage heap of bad killer perks.

  • @not_Queef said:

They need to remove the insta-heal component altogether.

People just stay injured and rush the last gen, suddenly everybody is at full health and the killer's work is reset in a completely unfair manner.

This is the crutchiest perk after DS.

Completely agree. It exists solely as a way to stop Killer momentum. Who needs to heal when you can heal your entire team by completing your main objective?

  • Scream perk also prevents flashlight saves. As a side note.

  • The obsession related perk would only be good if it has a timer of at least 2 minutes. I doubt it'll have that much... Knowing BHVR and how they give bad, arbitrary numbers to perks... See Pop Goes The Weasel.

Scream perk might only be worthwhile on Huntress... It's basically a better Spies From the Shadows.

  • Black plague is small potatoes to the Spanish Flu.

I mean, i wouldn't mind them using any of todays religion, as someone who is also religious people think i would get offended if they put something related to Christianity or something in the game, and i say "Not really, because i know that's not what it stands for. "

But i could see them avoiding the real religions that exist today to avoid conflict, I guess i could see this being a fictional religious cult that possibly worshiped The Entity or something.

Businesses exist to make money. Risk creates the possibility to lose money. Thus, businesses avoid risk if they can.... Therefore, BHVR will not use a living religion.

  • Made up fictional religion the most likely contender.

I hope the killer bio has juicy details, like doctrine, dogma, tenants, etc.,

Imagine something of similar scope like the daevites, the sarkites, or the church of the broken god from the SCP universe!

  • Some diseases cause dehydration. Namely cholera and dysentery. These diseases have been around since ancient times.

  • I have no idea. Maybe it's a reference to dysentery or cholera?

  • My suggestion is to boost them all by 25%.

    brown = 75%

    yellow = 100%

    green = 125%

  • I'm referring to the BP offerings that only give bonuses to the "sacrifice" category of points for killer.

They suck because there is a far less degree of certainty compared to Deviousness, Brutality, and Hunting categories of getting a decent amount of BP.

If you stomp the other team, or someone DC's you get far less BP than in similar circumstances in the other 3 point categories for Killer.

That would remove the point of the perk entirely.

Aye, as it would have to be context dependent in order to 'fool' the killer into checking out the diversion.

Thrill of the hunt should be some sort of animal noise, maybe like a wolf’s howl? The entity whispering one may not work well if someone brings Whispers, but I like the concept!

My thought is that TOTH sound would be much louder, but basically gibberish speak. Like a lot of schizophrenic patients all talking over each other at the same time.

Oh, that would be just lovely to hear at night...Just playing a nice game of DbD, heard they changed noise notifications but didn’t read the patch notes, nah, you just wanna play! You bring TOTH, don’t want ruin gone so quickly, and suddenly...HGFJFHSBEJXBXN!! You hear the voices of 20 different people just shouting random things into your ear. Long story short, you have a heart attack, you end up dying, and Mathieu comes to your funeral to tell you that you did a pretty good job...

    Hahahahahha. That's great! XD

  • Stridor as you will hear normal breathing 25% louder.

  • I mean, if everyone runs borrowed time and DS, then you're pretty much dealing with original borrowed time... Functionally.

  • What happens:
If the obsession is opening a door with Remember Me, but then they switch, and are no longer the obsession once a DS strike goes off? Does the penalty suddenly kick in?

Might not be the worst, but another useless add-on is the Tattooed Finger for Clown. It has no drawbacks, but its an ultra rare and does absolutely nothing at all.

Oh #########, I forgot about that one. It's like the worst ultra rare addon aside from maybe Rule Set 2.

On a side note, I'd like to add that Wraith's Serpent addon is also pretty useless.

It all depends. I never use it myself 2B on nest.

It sounds good on paper, like it would work well with shadow dance (very rare).

But it's awful. You can't attack/interrupt for a long time after kicking a generator or breaking a pallet when using serpent addon. You uncloak, but you don't even get the benefit of the speed boost, and you're now moving at normal 4.6 m/s, so fantastic!

If you instantly decloaked when breaking a pallet or kicking a generator, even without the speed boost, it would be worth running with shadow dance.

  • On a side note, I'd like to add that Wraith's Serpent addon is also pretty useless.

It's at that rarity because it's "Very Rare" that you'll ever want to use it. :P

Doesn't seem that bad. You'd never have to patrol the boxes with it since it effectively patrols for you

It is that bad.  It makes it impossible to defend the boxes in any way until the Survivors have already gotten the trap off (which obviously is self-defeating), and unless you're actually near them when it happens, the 6 seconds of aura don't actually matter.  The upsides are so unreliable that one could make the argument that the perk may as well be all downside.

I mean, rummaging through the boxes makes so much noise, I don't even need to know where the boxes are though.

If you combine it with Last Will (so you have 5 reverse bear traps) you get stall game + map awareness. If someone removes a bear trap nearby, they are gonna get tunneled. Most people with reverse bear traps on their heads don't bother to heal, so it's an easy down.

Legion Pin literally doesn't have any usage whatsoever, even in any hypothetical situations.

I think you're underestimating how critical those boxes auras are for actually finding them.

Amanda's Secret TAKES AWAY map awareness because you no longer have the auras of the boxes to rely on, but the Survivors still do (unless you are also running Rules Set No. 2).  The notification + aura for someone taking off a box is nigh useless because you have zero control over when and where it goes off.  If someone is searching a box nearby without Amanda's Secret, you would probably be able to start harassing them already before they even got the trap off because you knew where the box was to begin with anyways.  The only thing the Survivor aura does in that case is help you make up for the ground you lost because you couldn't find them in the first place due to not having a box aura to rely on.  With someone at a far away box, unless you already know the exact location of that box, you basically can't start going after them until they've already gotten the trap off.  If you didn't have Amanda's Secret, you could at least start going towards that box on a hunch, and if the trap came off at that box before you have arrived, you've already closed some of the distance needed to catch up to them.  If you want to catch someone at a close box, you are better off using anything other than Amanda's Secret so you can see the box aura and know to check there at some point, and if you want to catch someone at a far away box, you are better off using Barbecue and Chilli since Survivors with RBTs can't afford to play around it as efficiently.  Why would you use Last Will with an add-on that makes your RBTs actively less useful when you could use it with any other Pig add-on (even Amanda's Secret) and be better off?  You'd even be better off with using only Last Will and no other add-on.

I legitimately think Amanda Secret is 100% useless and at no point should you ever consider using it unless you are actively trying to make the Pig worse because you want to play Pig on Hard mode.

So you do have a point it does make you less efficient. Though, I did think of a stupid hypothetical situation.

If someone takes off the RBT, then proceeds towards a currently already hooked survivor, you would know that they are going to dive for a save... You couldn't know that information from any other perk out there.

Not likely to happen in any game though.

Personally i don't get why people think Freddy needs a buff. He's 100% Invisible, quite fast and pulling Survivors into the Dreamworld gives the effect simillar to Thanatophobia and BBQ. Then you get to put Perks on top of that... That's pretty brutal right there.
I've only played him once through an add-on and even without perks i easily wiped the floor with the survivors.

Agreed. I only do poorly with him on maps with tons of pallets or large maps like swamp. Or if survivors are spread out.

  • I do very well with Freddy. If they merely change numbers around, he might become unstoppable.

Which is why I would love to rework the pins into something way more usable. What that could be I will never know.

I mean, assuming after Legion rework, you could just make it so that even hitting someone with deep wounds would give a miniscule amount of your feral frenzy bar back. If I stack two legion pin addons, I should get like 20% of my bar refilled.

  • Something to counter Adrenaline.

When gates are powered, every injured survivor gets a token.

Healing removes the token instead of healing naturally. Tokens do not replenish.

I'd still take Legion over another Billy game.

That said, what bugs me about Legion is the deep wounds timer. He doesn't even need to moonwalk, you just lose him in a chase, start mending, he finds you again, so you want to start running but you can't because the mend bar is empty and even though he's only a few meters away the game doesn't think you're in a chase yet.

I mean the problem is that it bypasses the concept of chasing entirely.
You deep wounds, then commit enough time to let bar hit zero or do final hit = guaranteed down.

If survivors can do all gens before you kill them all, you lose. Vice versa, legion wins.

Other than going maximum cooldown reduction (which lets you play the way that Legion was intended to play) there's no other option but to cheese the deep wounds mechanic. It's not interactive from the survivor side.

Straight up nerfs won't fix Legion. You don't even need the three-hit build to cheese.

It's because of his design I think, non viable killers usually will have to play scummy to get the same effect as higher tier killers.
Wraith isn't that strong of a killer even after his buff and his power does suggest camping since he's only truly invisible when standing still.

If he was completely invisible when walking im sure not many people would be camping since he'd have some map pressure but that would probably make him OP.

Yeah, basically. If you don't get an early hook, you're going to play super scummy. If in the first two minutes you don't get at least a down, you're pretty ######### on large maps like asylum or rotten fields... You have to resort to baiting an unsafe hook, plus the fact wraith denies borrowed time means he can punish bad saves like Pig or Leatherface.

Wraith's main advantage is that he doesn't need any tracking perks because of his insane map presence. Other than that, he's just a M1 killer. He's weak to loops, just like everyone except nurse or clown.

Save the Best for Last is pretty much a necessity on Wraith. Without good addons, he objectively performs worse. Wraith needs a pig-style rework in that they need to nerf his addons, but buff his movement speed while cloaked/uncloaking speed.

If you run out of rare/very rare addons, you pretty much don't want to pick wraith. He's deadly on small maps, but then again, most killers are deadly on small maps like Lery's aside from Hillbilly or Nurse, which suffer due to the map's design.

I can't play Spirit because in 20 seconds a gen pops.

(totally has to do with spirit and not just all killers in general)

Idk. I do well as Billy since he can keep up with gens. But maybe I chase too much. Unless ruin stays for more then 30 seconds, I get stomped. As Billy I don't even use ruin.

Billy has insane map pressure. Try playing as trapper or huntress or something.

Also not Nurse, she has insane pressure too

When I play Nurse, I typically win with 5 or 4 generators left. Unless you know how to juke Nurse, you're so scared you won't be on a gen. lol

Thanks. It's my ultimate farming build for Legion. You get BP soooooo fast.

  • Maybe you can mindgame with Iron Maiden + Insidious LOL.

Walk away 20 meters, then stand still. If they walk out of locker, they're good as dead.

  • My bad. In that case, it should include noise notifications that are the result of killer perks.

  • @DemonDaddy said:
Use them beforehand, that's what they're for. I always try to clear inventory so its not wasted bp.

Seasonal items are reusable though. If you had red letter offerings from 2018, they worked for this 2019 event.

  • @EntityDispleased said:
For some reason the amount of lanterns you broke doesn't appear at the top right corner as killer. It happened just recently.

I have that bug too. LMAO

  • This is perfectly balanced as nullifying a killer's perks isn't broken at this point in the game because they've already swung the game heavily in their favor if they've gotten that one or two kills early in the game.

It'd be especially good against Hex: Thrill of the Hunt

  • In that case, it should be buffed to include aura protection for things you are interacting with such as hex totems, generators, hooks, other people, and exit gates.

That would extend the protection to save you against Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, Discordance, Surveillance, and Nurse's calling when healing another person.

This is perfectly balanced because if someone's dead, then the killer has a huge advantage in the game already. Interfering with their tracking as opposed to interfering with their chase ability isn't too overpowered. Plus, even if everyone ran sole survivor, you'd still get all the benefits for that first kill as killer.

No. T3 Iron Will only makes pain noises for survivors 50% reduced for a killer running T3 Stridor. It's more of a soft counter.

No Mither + Iron Will = Total silence even against a T3 Stridor... Not that you would ever want to run this combo b/c it's so bad.....

    Stridor = Breathing

Alert, no b/c you cannot break things while haunting as Spirit and odds of spirit breaking a pallet/kicking a gen and going into haunt mode within 5 seconds is really low. Dark sense same problem as before.

  • Once they implement the new system for placing totems, it'll be a tad better. Right now, it's crap. The new system will use every possible survivor spawn point, then do a laser beam to check if any totems are visible from a survivor's camera during the intro sequence. If it's visible, then it'll be removed.
