People said Blight is weak and now he is 3rd strongest killer in the game, Also people said Twins are weak now they are top tier killer.
Lets wait and test him before we judge.
I think the consensus on blight was he could be very strong it was just fov and collision holding him back.

We're going to continue to monitor The Trickster, as we do with all our killers - any changes can/will be made at a later date.
I mean being told by everyone pretty much he was hot garbage wasnt enough? I mean it got a addon nerfed at least.

Yeah they need to nerf his addons but buff his base power to compensate. Maybe faster pallet breaking in tier 3 or something?
Itd be interesting because ew3s synergy with bamboozle is cool so allowing michael to break pallets walls and vault quicker while using the perks that complement them (brutal and bamboozle) could be terrifying.

Trash. not power wise but his fun is gone. The stupid scream. The fov change. His animations are bugged. Already was one of the more balanced killers besides instasaw and they just went overboard.

Yeah, like earlier today when a rank 19 Oni pulled the ultimate mindgame on me at shack and stood in the corner where I couldn't see him and I panic vaulted through the window and no-one saw but me and him.
Definitely less awkward than getting looped as Oni for my entire power at a short-wall jungle gym.
Edit: you know, I just realise I've had an Oni-only night as both sides and didn't even realise it.
Survivor makes a mistake:i made a missplay/The killer mindgamed me. Killer makes a few:OH MY GOD EZ KILLER BOT BOT BOT.

I don't see why the ques will suddenly change. dS isn't the reason people mostly play survivor. It's a mix of playing the easier, less stressful role, playing with their friends, and not getting ganged up on.
Yeah killer if you play pretty bad you make a fool out of yourself infront of 4 (or more if ones a streamer) people i don't try to think about it to much though.

As long as camping exists, DS will be there IMO. It's the kind of insurance perk that you equip not wanting to use unless you combo it with Deliverance or something.
Yes it will still obviously be played for its actual reason im just saying people won't get 60 seconds off a gen for free anymore which will "hurt its viability at the high ranks" (good).
-
@lagosta said:
Unless you're going for a very specialized build fully dedicated to gen repair, it's not really worth it.
Meta perks are meta for a reason: they allow you to do something invaluable that you cannot otherwise. You can't pick yourself up without Unbreakable (No mither is a meme, Soul guard is unreliable), you can't stun a killer in his grasp without DS, you can't iframe without Dead Hard, etc.
Fast Track can come in clutch in some moments and it is a good perk, but I doubt that in the eyes of the community it will be meta.
Ds's might have fell from its throne though since at the highest level people used it as a invincibility shield with unbreakable to rush gens and remain safe.
-
It is quite annoying to be bombed by a streamers audience either for playing to good "try-harding" or playing like a potato apparently. But thats always been in the chats ive never been bombarded with messages directly and its kinda my fault for entertaining it by entering the chat. But either way i don't really mind its a game after all. Some people will just tunnel mori twitch streamers which just sounds petty. Im fine with them wanting to not have ttv in their name for that reason.

Yeah im excited to see ds finally drop! Wraith and Blight changes are amazing as well. Trickster....No.

Ds is a perk that is supposed to protect you from tunneling not exactly the free "get out of the jail" card. Plus if you do not die the killer would have understand you have that perk and he will be careful about it. It is not a perk for endgame where there is only 1 surv and 1 killer left. It is a perk for saving precious time of your teammates.
Does kinda suck though that deliverance punishes you for getting found first AND last. If your found first its useless. If your found last its useless lol.
-
@CheesyGuy said:
Well while I agree with you the real problem is if you are not gonna be killed due to your Deliverance, the killer will known that you have that perk and act according to it. Moreover most of the killer are usually facecamp the last survivor that they hanged as game finished so even if you manage to use it the perk will be pointless again. Deliverance is for hook exchanges and save time for your teammates so that they will do gens other than saving you.
Could combo it with ds and just crawl out. If close enough to the gate.
-
@Pulsar said:
They are a way around Decisive Strike on last hook and they are a cool animation.
They were absolutely too strong before.
I personally felt they could have just did the hook everyone once. The abuse of moris was tunnel mori which was just made harder by making you chase them twice. I would say though 6k bp for a offering thats a cool kill when a hook would actually take less time and give more points is unnecessarily weak. Comparing them to map offerings like bringing haddonfield survivors can plan their entire build and stack the offerings so the killers screwed. Ive had this happen a few times. Im not gonna compare them to keys because keys are just their own problem but everyones had that moment where your chasing a survivor just to see them all jump into the hatch and their ain't crap you can do about it.

I absolutely agree with this. There are few things that irritate me in this game, but when I’m basically finishing my hook animation and turn to leave only to hear an unhook.... let’s just say I get quite incentivized to go after the person even if they have Bt/ds. BT teaches very bad habits in this game when it comes to unhooks. One of the most valuable assets survivors have is the sheer amount of time they can be on a hook. Careless, rushed rescues just make a killers job easier in most cases.
It should get a middleground where it can do its job but not be abused so much. Like people have suggested make it automatic and for 16 seconds the survivor loses collision unless they work on a gen unhook or anything else. (To remove bt into bt) the middleground approach worked with ds kinda. It'd be nice for bt to actually do its job against campers but not be abused as a weapon.
-
@ilovedbd123 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2054743#Comment_2054743
16s is massive.
Having it proc on every unhook means the survivor could instantly go on a gen for 5-10s and still hit a loop before it runs out.
That's not big?
At least bt you could pull them off unlike old ds. Also could just rework bt so the survivor loses collision for 16 seconds but the collision cancels if they progress their objective.

If borrowed time is going to have metres instead of the killer terror radius as the requirements, It should be around 12 to 15 metres

I’d rather put that on small game tbh
Either or. Would be nice to not be hit by noed for doing my job especially if noone else is doing totems i have to spend almost a gen time on bones. Not counting having to run my ass all over the place.
-
@Orion said:
No. I don't want unsafe unhooks to be incentivized even more, that just rewards campers and hook vultures. If you know the killer is camping, all the more reason not to unhook in their face.
Um current bt actually encourages the killer to proxycamp with a small tr so they can just tunnel the unhooked. Not like facecamp him directly but stay in the area. For isntance a bubba outside of shack waiting for an unhook. Or a ghostface hiding behind some rocks away from the hook. Having it auto proc or based on radius means the unhooked survivor is fine if the killer decided to be a cheeseball. Its also again 16 seconds and the proxycamper can go after the unhooker. Another good example is m and A deathslingers camping like 17 meters away and just shooting the unhooked right after they are unhooked. Maybe im speaking from a solo/killer mixture which is different but this is just my experience from both sides.

Yah, funny how that works. It's almost as if the devs are trying to make us understand that camping is completely allowed. Especially if the situation might call for it.
People should be just doing the goddamn gens if somebody is camped anyway.
Actually the devs have said they want to DISCOURAGE camping as much as possible even though its a strategy. Thats why perks like borrowed and kindred exist. But then we have insidious which outright endorses it and counters them both going against the devs very view of camping.
-
@PanicSquid said:
I would agree, but only if we add in some method to deter people from using Borrowed Time needlessly. I don't want to give incentive for reckless unhooking.
Its weird because borrowed actually gives the person who was reckless unhooked a chance. If someone runs up and unhooks me in the killers face hows that my fault? I should be downed and just die because my teammate screwed me?
-
@FrenziedRoach said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2054590#Comment_2054590
It's as I stated before, not every perk is a 100 percent effective against all killers. It doesn't matter what the perk's purpose is. Just look at Decisive Strike which is anti-tunnel - Pyramid Head hard-counters that one as well.
Making it radius based would just encourage fast-rescues in the face of the killer which many would consider to be unhealthy gameplay as it disempowers the power-role.
Certain things in this game delete other mechanics. This is nothing new. Hell, look at my grinning Avatar - do you think that guy gives a ######### about Stealth play? No, he deletes it from the game. Nurse doesn't know what a pallet is.
Freddy himself is a mess, nobody will deny that. But let's focus on the killer itself, not the perk that is perfectly fine.
Its also weird though how any person can actually counter the anti camp perk BY camping. *Insidious intensifies*

@Phasmamain said:
DH is one of the best solo perks imo

And neither does Wraith, or MnA/Rabbit Myers. Not every perk should be 100 percent effective against every killer IMO
Borroweds existance is to give the survivor a chance though without being on the ground a second later isnt it? Its a anti camp/tunnel perk and if a killer can just avoid it by playing freddy then its not even giving that survivor a chance but they just die because the killer "outplayed the perk". What by playing freddy?
-
@FrenziedRoach said:
I think having it based on Terror Radius is the better call as it allowed for some counterplay against careless hook-farmers. The killers who do it because they don't know better usually don't understand the game well enough to manipulate it, so it does it's job just fine against the ones who do need to be trained better.
Unless your a freddy or wraith then you really don't passively care about bt and can kinda just do whatever ya want.
-
@Phasmamain said:
Something like a fixed 24m radius would make the perk a lot better
Yeah im just thinking what if a hag like camps just far enough away or like a huntress or slinger.

Bold of you to assume this isn't exactly what killer players are also doing.
It's not just survivors, it's not just killers; both sides have hypocrites.
Exploits are exploits and exploits must be fixed, but don't make it an "us vs them" argument. We don't need more of them. Please.
Not necessarily agreeing with op but i have seen a lot of defended techs in the past just it seems like its mostly on the survivor side (idk why). For instance the windowtech,The unhook tech (where you could crawl under the hook) and obviously theres still people that defend stretched. (But their are a few killers that use it to) idk if it just is because you see survivors using them more since its a 4v1 game? I personally thought the windowtech was interesting maybe just me though.

If they are so rare, it just shows how good it was that they got nerfed. This means that most Killers did not care for the animations, but just wanted a really unfair Offering to get easy wins.
I see Moris occasionally. I guess, one or two every other day, most of them Ebonies.
Definitely aint worth the 7k bp anymore though as they are just a look cool animation death instead of a powerful offering (comparing it to like map offerings). The yellow doesn't even need to be a offering. And your just better off getting bonus bp. A key for instance is the same as ebony. Can let all 4 survivors escape. Can have stuff added on to make it more powerful and can be found mid match. All that needed to change to ebony tbh was each survivor needed to be hooked once. This change doesnt prevent tunnel mori just makes it harder.

Could give it a audio que and have them slowly open as if Trapper was doing it.

On this same topic in a thing of i guess cruel irony 2 games yesterday and 1 today we spawned in and never saw the killer at all. So today Scott Jund made a video about how to rework Trapper and it’s actually a great video you should watch https://youtu.be/7d3LjRUncPo
Anyway I was reading the comments and I actually found a idea that could be interesting.
How would you guys feel if Trapper had the ability to stomp his foot on the ground and every trap on the map resets itself but then has a 60 second cooldown it would be like Docs static blast. I think it’s a cool idea that should be experimented on and also another idea he stated was to make it so when someone gets caught in a trap your MS is increased to 150%.
What are your thoughts on this change and Scott Junds ideas
I like the adrenaline rush idea since its stupid people guaranted get out in 6 attempts. So your punished for basically not patrolling your traps. So when a person gets trapped you can barely make it any distance before their out.

dude ######### does this have to do with gameplay? your talking about making survivors not switch characters when theyre in a lobby. r u really this mad-
When theres perks like franklins and lightborne yeah they shouldn't be allowed to swap because thats the whole point. You equip lightborne to counter people bringing in flashlights but noone has a item just for them all to swap at last second giving the killer 0 chance to do anything.

I so badly hope Insidious gets a rework in the future. IMO, it's the killer perk most deserving of one (even over controversial perks like NOED and fellow junk perks like Monstrous Shrine).
It's a horribly-designed perk that, in practice, does nothing but facilitate camping. The only killer who ever had an interesting use for it was Freddy, but he lost that tactic when his power was reworked.
Yeah i thought with its name and description of you "becoming stealth" itd be like the best undetectable perk. Sadly it isnt tinkerer kinda is. The only time its used beside camping is on spirit to trick survivors.

I love how everyone gets so upset about the smallest exploits too; like the level of play everyone is at has to deal with that.
Most Blights I get are lucky to land a normal M1 hit let alone a 3000+ dpi spin 180 hit at a precise moment in time that it's advantageous to do so.
I mean something like stretched all ya need to do is know how to actually edit the resolution which isnt rocket science. Then the advantages kinda automatic. Idk how many survivors use it but im in red so it could be pretty often but you can say its just "luck or prediction" thats the problem really.

The thing is, there's one major difference between SWF on comms and Blight's flick:
One's been expressly approved and supported by the devs (SWF on comms), whilst one has been expressly confirmed as unintended and unsupported.
https://www.twitch.tv/mclean_bhvr/clip/AmorphousFaithfulKleeTheTarFu-jPzbiLNS-Dku-899
It's similar to the Pyramid Head exploit; unsupported, unintended, and expressly condemned:
https://www.twitch.tv/mclean_bhvr/clip/SpookyPeppyTarsierThunBeast-7rDoj_6XXge-6uJe
(basically saying don't use exploits)
The most thing i see compared is it and stretched since stretched has been in the game for 2 years now and the devs have said its a exploit. But the blight flick is suddenly the one needing a major fix when at least it involves some skill unlike editing your res to see over like 90% of loops. Both honestly need to go though.

Behaviours got a good monopoly going with dbd in this style of game. Want to play a horror game where you can hunt people as demogorgon freddy or the infamous michael myers on saws map? This games got ya covered there. Plus its got constant (albeit slow) support with the map reworks and balance updates ect. Stuff like the resident evil one dropped support after a few months. So honestly...unless a game comes out thats literally the bomb. Don't see it.
-
Id say up to top 1% its fairly even (but its a 4v1 game so the survivors obviously have an advantage) but once you hit the 1% threshold 90% of the killers become unviable because they just don't have the map pressure and/or antiloop to survive the highest level of play. So if you play spirit or nurse its a even playing field. Otherwise survivors kinda just take it. And i mostly play survivor rank 1 5k hours between Killer/Survivor.
