It is really sad ppl sometimes have that mindset. They rather see the killer they hate to get deleted or competely gutted rather than fixed. In their minds, only their fun and enjoyment is all that matters, and ######### everyone else.

I met a chainsaw only Billy last night. I followed etiquette and didn't drop a single pallet. Then ten minutes into the match he M1's me and kills me. I felt violated.
Today a Ghostface caught me petting Maurice. He then face camped me to death. The moral of the story? Some killer players have no heart.
Update: A Ghostface just gave me hatch after destroying us. I even posed for a picture. Faith in humanity restored.
it amazing Billy could even make survivors play like that at all. It rarity to ever have a bad game against a Billy in my experience.

Let's see. When I started playing they released Twins. Back then people weren't too happy with Twins either. Then Trickster. Who is also hated by many people. After that, we got Nemesis. A killer that is very oppressive in chase but can be countered when survivors play smart and treat him similar to Oni. Doesn't change the fact that many have complained about him being too strong in chase.
After Nemi, they released Pinhead. A killer with a chasing power that is a bit less oppressive but a secondary power to balance it out. A nightmare for solo queue players and also not very popular among survivors. Then we got Artist, who really can't be looped. A chase with her plays entirely different, which is why a lot of people hate playing against her too. Sadako on release had basically no chase power at all (apart from trying to mindgame with her passive phasing), which forced people to find different ways to play her. Which again, people complained about.
Dredge was the 6th anniversary killer and on release he wasn't received quite so poorly. But now you have people complaining about how it is impossible to loop Dredge because of the Remnant. Wesker was pretty well received at first. But it didn't take long for some people to claim he was stronger than Nurse and impossible to loop. On top of that, people didn't like playing Dead By Wesker. Knight is another killer, that similar to Artist can't be looped. Instead you need to treat him different and maintain distance. He isn't very popular among survivors either.
Skull Merchant was released without a real chase power, which forced players to play her in a more territorial kind of play style. With her rework she got a chase power, which makes her unfun to loop because it doesn't really work when the killer gets a random speed boost and further cemented Caitlyn 3Genner into the game. Most hated killer in the game. The 7th anniversary featured Singularity. A killer, who can teleport to survivors, forces them to do a side objective and can't be looped or delayed for long, if played correctly. I've seen people complain about that too.
And now here we are. With Xenomorph. A killer who has a great chase power with counterplay via turrets and mobility. There are a lot of complaints about Xeno too.
It's almost like there will always be people complaining about a new killer. You can't have a killer with a weak chase power, that doesn't have a pretty unfun second power. Sadako is proof of that. And you also can't have an extremely oppressive chase power without people calling it unfun.
Not every killer can be Trapper without traps. This is not how it works.
fax
This could be summarized as people will complain. Doesn't matter how weak the killer is or how average the new survivor perks are. People will complain about anything that would even slightly pose a threat for them to go up against.

Man, you make me feel really old. I am a pretty mean Pyramid Head, but with Xeno I am often taken by surprise, when a chase takes me to a turret. Then in 90% of the time I'll just soldier through in hopes of catching the survivor, instead of risk missing the M2 and loosing it all. I guess I am worse then 50% of the average human, then.

I think there is no way around some base kit nerfs for Blight at this point. Otherwise all of his addons would need to be pretty damn bad. I'd rather Blight be slightly weaker at base and have some nice addons still.
But I agree that they should not Billy him. That one was a crime.

The funny thing is that they shadow nerfed him a few more times. Dream pallets used to have synergy with pallet perks. That's no longer the case.
At this point I'd rather play old Freddy (with some slight adjustments) than our current version.

title.
We have several weapons in this game... knives, swords, bone saw, axe, throwing knives, cane, sickle, whatever freddy's glove classifies as, chainsaw, hunting knife, a very sharp tail, projectile vomit, objects like a ruler used as a knife, hammers, kanabo, tentacle, chef's knife, straight up just hands, harpoon gun...
but what weapon would you like to see in the game?
there's 2 that I always wanted. a pickaxe and a scythe.
a pickaxe is cool. And a miner for a killer is a somewhat unique visual (gas mask trapper is my favorite skin on him... shame it doesn't come with a pickaxe)
and a scythe is the weapon of lady death herself. the reaper of souls... it's way too good of a visual to not have a killer use one.
I know we kinda do have scythes for singularity and dredge. if we squint a bit... or a lot.
does not really work for hux... at least for me.
but... it does work for dredge. since much like death, she is also just a concept. not an actual being, just a manifestation of a force of nature of some kind. (obligatory "Dredge is so ######### cool" moment)
still, I want a proper scythe. We can give it to a potential scarecrow killer for example.
tl dr: I think a pickaxe and scythe are cool weapons and should be in the game. what about you?
A instant down wrecking ball weapon of sorts. ideally a slow range attack on a 110 killer

Over the past days these forums, and youtube {I don't dare look on twitter, Xitter?} have been a non stop baby cage for the typical Survivor mains to cry, scream and throw all their toys all over the place because of the Xenomorph..
Finally we get a solid A tier killer with a decent power and very obvious counterplay, yet they still complain, 1 or two forum posts are no issue but now it's every other post, screaming for "NeRfS"
IK this is nothing new for survivor mains, if they can't outright bully a killer they will never be satisfied.. what worrys me is tuhe fact that the devs baby, and balance the games around these entitled survivors requests.
so in the coming updates i sadly expect to see..
"Reduction in hitbox value of the tail attack."
"Reduction in speed when tunneling as the Xeno"
"Turrets not only being more abundant, but also being able to apply a 3 second stun once they knock it out of it's power, and sace a survivor from being carried to hook."
These are only a couple of reactions or suggestions i have seen from these pro baby survivor mains.. Hell i've even seen "Make it so Xeno can't M1 during crawler mode!"
Again when a killer can't be outright bullied like EMP simulator, Survivors will demand nerfs and BHVR will deliver..
Unless it's a special case like Nurse, bc nerfing her would make her literally Unplayable.
Sadako had way more heat on her and nothing got change. The devs made slightly adjust xeno but nothing huge I'm betting.

@FrenchBagels said:
Greeting DBD jury.
I would like to quickly cover some arguments defending Xeno and explain why they don’t work.
“Crawler Mode should be strong!”
This is true. Basically the only objective statement for the defense. The bugs should certainly be fixed but it should remain oppressive.
But the reasoning for that to work out properly comes next in the form of how the turrets were handled.
“Turrets are valuable! Just use them!”
Your honor, I believe the defense fails to understand why the turrets do not work. Let me explain in a variety of ways:
- Slow movement
This is counterproductive design and make placing the so-called perfect counter in an actually valuable location horrendous. It wastes so much time and prevents actual good placement while maintaining any pressure on the survivor side.
No, survivors are not placing them near control stations. They’re placing them far away from gens. But to do this, you have to spend an egregious amount of time to do so. This would not be a problem if you could maintain running speed.
- Lambert’s Star Map & Emergency Helm
I see a lot of people, whom your honor I might add are likely killer mains, are willfully ignoring these two addons.
These COMPLETELY erase the turrets from the game. Any sensible Xeno will run these two addons any nothing else. They prevent any form of your power being depleted, and they ensure survivors waste time placing what is essentially an oversized Bic lighter the survivors bought from the clerks at their local gas station.
No, it is not hard to hit the turret with M2. No, it is not hard to simply even M1 it with these two addons. Once you realize these are in play, the turrets are nullified.
- Double stacking
This is the only feasible method of denying Xeno his power. So surely this will work all the time right?
Wrong. You’re essentially walking two turrets, from DIFFERENT CONTROL STATIONS I might add, to simply create a total of two zones when in reality it should be four. Even if you manage to get a solo que to do this, the result isn’t even guaranteed BECAUSE of the two previous addons. It’s straight asinine!
“But hey, it works sometimes, right?!”
Again. Wrong. Gentlepeople of the jury, I cannot highlight how incredibly useless the turrets are without pointing out our culprit: the Control Station.
The control station COMPLETELY nullifies the pressure brought by the turrets in any capacity. All the defendant Xeno has to do is simply waltz into a station and waltz right out the same tunnel for five seconds and he maintains his Crawler Mode. So much for counterplay, eh?
Closing Statements
Your honor, turrets suck. They straight suck. Every Xeno player would rather you waltz two turret over and over again to the same area because they know you’d waste time. They would rather misinform and make the excuse that “it’s counterplay” just so they can get the 4K they tunneled so hard for.
That is why, our grand jury, why Xeno is in a horrendous spot. Not because he’s strong, but because he’s terribly designed. I rest my case. Thank you, your honor.
Also, if you doubt my credibility as a lawyer: I main Singularity. No further statements.
I was definitely ready to leave a snarky reply but this thread was just to entertaining.

Being in range of your opponent, predicting their actions, and hitting a single button is considered skilled now?
Glad to hear it.
Although it's interesting that when it's a killer ability it's 'skill', but when it's dead hard, it 'takes no effort and is free' for literally years until it gets nerfed into the dirt. Strange how that works out.
""Being in range of your opponent, predicting their actions, and hitting a single button is considered skilled now"
Anticipated the opponent and accuracy. That take some skill i would say. Is it huntress/slinger sniping level skillful? nah probably not but it far from being brainless.
6.1 version of dh did take skill to use. It just most of the killer players at the time was blinded by the dead hard hate and wouldn't give it any credit.

and I say that is confirmation bias. and that you would reach different conclusions about a player skill level if you didn't know what their prestige level is.
i thought this could be the case myself so i went weeks not looking at prestiges in the lobby and would only view them post game. On average the the highest prestige players did the best.

One of my friends ended up getting the perks to the side while I didn't and neither of us don't understand why. They thought it was a default thing now and I thought there was a beta in the options you had to opt into. I don't get why the beta thing in the options was added if we cannot "opt" into this.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3530999#Comment_3530999
I just feel that if we need prestiges visible to help determine a players experience we're just going full circle with showing ranks. The thing is ranks were far less intimidating because it's less emblems covering a broader spectrum. Prestiges gives you too much info on someone's potential time and until lobby shopping is addressed they should be hidden.
Alternatively - I feel only survivors should be able to see other survivors prestiges if we leave it as is since survivors cannot see the killers prestige. Even so - BHVR purposely removed showing ranks in lobby during the short window it was there because of dodging. I don't get why they don't do the same with prestiges or at least make it optional.
We should have less player stats visible in lobby and focus more on better communications between players who cannot communicate. Mostly with loadouts or preferred objectives or something a player has. I just feel out of all the things BHVR could make shown by default rank / prestige seems like the worst options for us.
Cool that BHVR is experimenting with finally hiding prestige though I admittedly just don't understand why it's not already hidden when this was already an issue prior with rank dodging.
"We should have less player stats visible in lobby and focus more on better communications between players who cannot communicate. "Cool that BHVR is experimenting with finally hiding prestige though I admittedly just don't understand why it's not already hidden when this was already an issue prior with rank dodging."

So what you think of this killer after hes been out for a while?
I think he has too many flaws that hold him back, the detection of his Biopods isnt good, you can have nearly 80% of the survivor's body in view and not being able to target them.
Indoor maps make his power borderline unusable.
And the situation with the EMPs is hard to say, cause without them hes crazy strong, but with them, hes super weak, there has to be a middle ground.
after playing larry i can safety say the opening cut sence was a lie. He was most definitely design to hurt the crew
