  • hag kinda hot

  • nobody talk about it cause nobody use it. For the people pick rate still remain extremely low despite the strong combo. Not suprise....who wanna give up a health state in solo q? The majority of solo q survivors don't even body block for someone on death hook right next to them

The backpack build is toxic! I was doing the archive to carry survivors 180 metres far and then this happened:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9EGNCP3Z39YK/20230812203121-1.jpg

Kate later wrote: "Shame on you." because I was using this build. A bit hypocritical when she was the one that actually disconnected from the match but I guess someone as toxic as me shouldn't complain. 😉

I'd say this SWF got a bit unlucky. I understand that they weren't happy about this but calling this a toxic noob build and later on implying it's overpowered goes a bit far. I gave the Steve hatch but it turned out that was a mistake. The things he wrote are very much in line with those you can see.

This is probably the most funny match up I've had until now. I didn't even look at their items in the lobby. It just kinda happened.

Have you had similar moments where you either countered the killer's or the survivors' builds?

They just wanna cry about something clearly. That pretty much as chill as a build can get. You had no addons for god sake

What if instead of activating when injured, it only triggers when on death hook but is active while healthy as well?

And of course remove the Endurance and Haste stacking.

Horrible making this perk so situational will guarantee it be complete trash. Right up there with bloodrush

I saw someone else write this on a stream, so i cant take credit for the idea, but how about this.

It starts on 1% and gets stronger for each hook state the survivors are on 3% is death hook (anti tunnel).

    or

it gets 1% for each dead survivor.

Maybe the perk should just do something entirely different outside of speed. These suggestions will send it stright to the 0.1 usage rate. Making the perk only useable when you close to death or your team dying is not the answer.

Fast track, low profile, sole survivor what do they all have in common? They work best when the team dead. No one use them perks and they won't use the new MFT either.

Sure, Skull Merchant can be fun to play and play against when not focusing on 3 genning. Granted, I think survivors need to recognize when they 3 gen themselves.

    Keys :

    • Every chest is instantly unlocked when opening.
    • Lucky key makes you have less odds at being obsession and gives higher odds at better items.
    • The gates are opened 50% faster.

    Maps :

    • There is no usage amount, they give permanent effect for 12m radius. Can be increased with addons to 24 max.
    • They will always show the location of the hatch once available no matter how far away.
    • All gens are displayed at all times.

I think this would make both viable in both low and high mmr.

i like all these suggestions honestly

Nothing is wrong with the meta from the survivor side. Survivor is just as easy and strong as ever in fact more so since WoO does your pathing for you and you have 4 to 5 health states and perks to that speed up gens.

The only problem with survivor is the same problem that has always been there. Other survivors not doing gens. Just look at your hud and see how often none of the other survivors are doing anything.

Killer has no threat unless survivors just don't try.

I felt compelled to make this post after seeing a P100 survivor run these two add-ons together. They do not work if you run them both at the same time. Only the add-on you've placed in the left slot will activate.

Please spread the word to avoid people like this Leon from looking like a fool.

Both actually work together well now after the last patch to increase self healing on medkits. u can actually pop the styptic and after getting hit run off to mend. mending take 12 seconds than the syringe kick in after 24 seconds to put you back at full health. of course that the best case scenario of getting vaule from both.

Was there some shadow buff to survivors repairing gens speed durring this event?

I swear to God, my games now are like 4-6 min EACH match and 5 gens being done. I see a lot of BNP (usually 2-3) per match being used, like what is happening? Whats with the speedrun?

I mean, 3 slowdown perks are helping just a little, but it's not enough, and the chases against mft users are so weird... I'm not even gonna lie, I can't keep up with this gen speed if I'm not playing A or S tier killer. -_-

I've seen some challenges for survivors like "Finish repairing some Summer generators", but I don't think like people doing this for so long, and so aggressive.

Is it because of the challenges? Event? You guys see the same in your killer matches?

It wasn't like that before this event, it's nutz

you know what u need? a skull merchant villain arc!

  • i rather have no teammates than a team full of bots. How many times have we seen someone stand in place for a few seconds as if they giving up just to start playing again? or attempted suicide on hook just to get save and continue to play. Just imagine how many more players will quit if they could just make a snap decision and dc with no penalty.

  • we seen the dc penalty remove a few times in recent history....4 DC's the second they hear the nurse or someone disconnect immediately when they get a killer they don't like. I'm not trying to have a terrible bot teammate every other game just to make some quitter life more easier. If you remove the DC penalty people will quit way more often. Making it more convenient to dc is not the answer.

If playing this game causes you so much stress and mental anguish then why the hell are you playing?

I'll use myself as an example. As most people here I work all day. After work I like to log on to dbd and pass time time and relieve some work stress. The last thing on my mind is the human on the other end of the connection. This is a video game. Period. This is not an experiment in social interactions.

I have my life to worry about. I'm not going to also worry about a faceless person in a game.

I play dbd for fun. I enjoy this game greatly. Do you know why that is? It's because I play the way I like to. If I'm forced into a certain playstyle then I'm out. BHVR knows this also applies to the vast majority of their customers.

So folks... why are YOU here?

So folks... why are YOU here?

I'm here to arm traps that take 3 seconds to set with trapper andddddd everything in between.

    Title.

I don't even mean why can I not get downs; I am struggling to physically close the gap between myself and survivors to even get a first hit. It seems like if I try to mind game they call my bluff, but even if I hold W forward they somehow keep the exact distance between us.

Did I miss some kind of haste buff or something?

are you playing a 110 killer?

  • That Brazilian guy survivor we got in the skull merchant chapter footsteps are nearly silent. I don't think the perk gonna be that impactful. solid perk tho

I was away on holiday for a bit during the anniversary event and update changes so just came back on last week and was shocked with the main building too - thankfully we didn’t get 3 genned but I was thinking exactly what you said about the ridiculous danger level of that main building.

it just feel like a big dead zone. i don't want come off as whinny but it just feel a bit unfair

    @Ayodam said:

To be fair on Haddonfield you really just have the one house on either side that’s good, and they don’t really connect to anything else. The streets and lawns are super unsafe. Hell the street itself is practically a deadzone. I think balance is not having one strong structure but then a large part of the map (the majority) being virtually unusable. Rancid Abbatoir in general has become a very bad map for survivors.

yeah Haddonfield is kinda terrible in the center of the map so i can kinda understand why the houses are powerful. Still it kinda ridiculous to expect most killers to chase inside those buildings.

  • none of them. This is the most chill the meta been on both sides in a long time. People complain about mft and that it for the most part.

  • i would love to see the killer roster current pick rate

  • a no where to hide, windows of opportunity, and SBFL thread all nearly in the same week. I literally seen it all.

How it’s still strong and gives the value of extending chase

i literally played a game as knight to where I couldn’t ######### catch this Ada who had MFT and I didn’t even chase her that much and when I finally got her they got the last gen done.

Made for this was soppose to be an alternative option to running a exhaustion perk. Now it just flat out cause exhaustion? The fax that it now cause exhaustion will eliminate any variety builds with perks like iron will & DH which is completely unnecessary. I'm all for the endurance being remove and it not stacking with hope in someway tho. The short timer will just make it unreliable on the survivor side as u force into exhaustion while potentially not even in chase (your perk useless now if the killer pull back up). It not uncommon for a killer to hit u, pressure another area, and come back. Personally i would just change made for this completely. To many killers slow down momentarily to use their power like trickster, doc, etc making the 3% speed very noticeable. If you lower the speed it probably won't get use but 3% is kinda a problem.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

Made for this is the new dead hard of dbd people have been complaining about it a lot and I’m sick of it so BHVR here’s a nerf to make the perk weaker but still strong

    Made for this

Made for this activates for 20/25/30 seconds when in the injured state.

    • You run 3% faster

When the time runs out you gain the exhaustion status effect for 40 seconds. Made for this cannot be used while exhausted.

I removed the endurance part cause we already have buckle up and so many endurance perks so I just cleaned it up. I made it so now the haste only lasts 30 seconds so it can’t be used permanently.

That a perfect way to kill the perk.

  • Cause it the best game ever despite all the complaints.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

People don’t like knight I understand but his addon knights contract sucks ass. Basically when you summon every 4th guard a survivor becomes exposed when within 12 meters. The effect is so useless and does absolutely nothing so here is my rework to make it unique but possibly op.

    Knights contract

The hunt duration of guards is permanent. The only way to stop the hunt is to grab the banner or get hit. Decreases banner spawn time and increases haste and speed boost.

I made it a 50/50 addon where now hunts are infinite to make guards more threatening specifically assassin but it encourages them to grab the banner so they can actually out play them.

I personally think knights addons need a rework and they need to fix 3 genning with him.

what do you think of the change?

It literally only one way to get vaule out of that addon. Camp the hook and drop a guard when the unhooker show up.

  • @BillToLast said:

I am currently trying to perfect the art of tunneling and experiment with different builds that make it easier and more viable to tunnel someone out as quickly as possible.

I have access to almost all of the perks and killers, but main Artist.

Usually I like to use STBFL to counter bodyblockers trying to save their teammate and PainRes/DMS combo to slow down gens with every hook, giving me more time to camp and wait for the person I'm tunneling to get unhooked. I also tend to bring Franklin's to counter flashlight saves and medkits.

Does anyone have some extra tips on how to tunnel more efficiently and counter some anti-tunnel perks (OTR and DS)?

force hesitation should be in every tunnel build. camp the hook, wait for the trade to happen, down the rescuer. Than tunnel the 20% slower survivor.

  • them swifters always up to something! little rascals

  • E still gonna strong baby!

  • Event offering for some extra bloodpoints and some new challenges "cool". Just something light into alien drop. We just coming off a great anniversary event! I'm not expecting anything big from this one. I think players need to stop complaining over every little thing like this

  • The event is cool. not supposed to be anything big

  • hyper focus, fog wise, stake out, built to last and alex toolbox

  • half the teams are already full of bots before someone even dc. i see no reason not to help these bots so might as well

Why do these people bother playing? And why do I have to get matched with them? He was a P8 too, so knew better. He was the last one standing at 5k bp before he found hatch (I died with 25k fyi), and he even tbagged on hatch to the killer as though he'd accomplished something other than letting team mates die (I missed the skill check when taking the second photo, otherwise I held on the whole time). Not much tilts me in this game but this could have been a 3 man out, possibly even 4, if he bothered to help instead of Urban Evade the whole game.

Sorry, just a rant. My games yesterday weren't much better. THIS is why solo queue sucks.

The grind ridiculous which is why i just bought everything super early in. You not really suppose to unlock every thing with shards anyway.

I haven't taken DH off my set up, its still just as good, even better since people don't wait.

I also still run it in certain builds. dh has remain in the top 15 most use survivor perks still and work great with the new meta (MFT and for the people/buckle up).

Deerstalker doesn't work if the killer leaves a survivor on the ground and the dude with Plot Twist just goes down on top of the dying survivor to hide their own aura / player model inside them.

you reaching for the stars with this scenario

  • thought it needed a nerf the first time i saw it use but ithe combination requires another survivor to be running around not on gens waiting for u to go down. Also, u need to be way closer to use this combo compare to a flashlight save. I'm loving the variety of builds right now and for once the survivor meta isn't stale. The fact that both survivors get endurance is crazy tho so maybe just make buckle up work for the pick up survivor.

  • The game: To many god pallets. It not completely bad just need more pallets that can be mind game.

Midwich: This maps have several rooms that pretty much a death trap for survivors. You can literally get a stun on a killer in the piano room and it won't matter if u not on the side closest to the door. You will get hit before u get to the next loop.

Swamp maps: The all suffer from the same problem as Haddonfield. One pallet in the middle and a pretty strong main building to make up for it.

  • @Sharby said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3498602#Comment_3498602

I mean isn't that what people wanted? Maps to get gutted into being awful for survivors?

    Garden of Joy is next.

i mean yeah i guess u right but i thought the main target was fracture cowshed. All the farm maps in my opinion still lean in the survivor favor and the only one that got severely gutted was rancid (which was the only balance one to begin with). fracture cowshed got two pallets remove on average from what i see and the main building nerf a tiny bit.....it still to powerful lolol.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

This map is completely barren now, I think I only counted a maximum of 11 Pallets and a minimum of 8. The main building only spawns the worst window too, which is made absolutely useless when the breakable wall is broken. It''s like pre-Skull Merchant Shelter Woods, except 2/3rds of the size.

I even saw a Generator with literally nothing around it for like 24-32m, good luck getting that one done ever. It needs more pallets because right now it's deader than the pigs inside of the slaughterhouse.

Even when the main building spawn the former good window it not anywhere close to decent anymore.

    20230730_120757.jpg

The breakable door don't spawn if u get this window and u get a fence making it harder to run it. In the ptb there was more Jungle gyms spawns. Also, the main building would often spawn the window by basement which was indirectly much stronger than before due to how easy it was to get in and out of main building now. Overall the map feel drastically different from the ptb unlike other rework maps.

  • sound good to me! run it through the next ptb

  • my favorite bot move is when they slow vault a z wall instead of playing a completely safe loop

It's also a lot of fun. I enjoy running it now and again to shake my games up

"you just have to be very aware of what you're doing" Well that's incredibly vague. Not to sound rude my friend but lri 1 mean nothing you just gotta play a lot. something useful to hear would be your win rate while running no mither.

No mither been a bottom 3 perk forever in my opinion and have just recently became a decent perk because of plot twist. Every single one of no mither cringey gimmick builds have suddenly become more feasible.

Trying to boil over, flip flop on a second floor but u need the killer to down you? no need just plot twist in advance. Trying die on pallet with flip flop, power struggle, but the killer keep picking up immediately? no need just run aura reading key and plot twist on a pallet when they even remotely in the area. You running unbreakable/no mither/soul guard build? well guess what will make that better?
