How do you think about this perk? I think this perk can be useful when you are facing the killer with STBFL, helping you to extend chase time. Also the combination with Lucky Break can be nasty in indoor maps.
Overcome allow u to shift w to the main building from nearly anywhere. All the exhaustion perks are strong outside of head on. Even background player nasty

Been playing her alot lately and been having a blast. I mostly stick with mid tier killers that don't require much mechanical skill cuz...controller. If I get GOJ as Myers or Bubba, I groan just thinking about that main building. For Hag... not a problem. Free hits at every USUALLY troublesome window.
You'd think this would make her more popular. You can get away with just using low lvl addons too. Why is her pick rate so low? Mind you... I'm sure half the reason I steamroll so many teams is because they have no clue how to play against her due to low pickrate... but it is confusing why you have such a strong killer with such a low pickrate.
Bad at chasing and most effective at camping/hook trading (boring). The shoe addon the only reason i like her. Rapidly clicking one button every second all match might have something to do with it.

No need. The community ask about ftp/buckle in the reddit Q&A. The devs acknowledge the problem but it probably at the bottom of the to do list. People don't even use this strong combo for some reason so it probably remain a low priority change.

Arinad uses STBFL and Rapid brutality on Haddonfield. He got 5 hooks, end result was 3 man escape. Sounds very overpowered.

the hazy vision is unique mechanic for clown and yet it is so underwhelming in his gameplay.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3616623#Comment_3616623
generally when i leave loops against clown, i use it as strategy to waste bottle ammunition. I use it to bait free reloads for hold-w purposes and go to loop for purposes of conserving pallets. I don't consider it as main strategy towards looping clown. it is just side strategy. the majority of safe pallets vs clown can be pallet-camped with well-timed slide. To me, he has already has sufficient counter-play given that Arinad is averaging 60 second-75 seconds between each hook. Adding more counter-play would only extend his time between hooks to greater value in which killer already under-performs against good teams.
i don't go by some random clown main streamer but it cool if u do. Stop basing everything on them
-
It to easy to farm stacks by the hook. Outside of that it pretty balance
-
Players love no where to hide. Most of the time a perk get disabled people don't even talk about it. I bet all them distortion heads are living it up right now

imagine adding an EMP mechanic that disables clown's power for 30 seconds. The last thing that clown needs is negative changes.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3616181#Comment_3616181
I do not think it is that severe for other killers in average soloq vs killer match as it is for clown. I just think clown builds pressure at non-existent rate that the game purely too fast for the rate at which he gets downs.
You jump to the extreme immediately. No one asking for emps or turrets. Some players refuse to play ghost face, xeno and Larry because of the amount of control survivors have. Obviously we wouldn't want another case of that. We also don't won't another case of the trickster buffs. Buffing a character with bad counterplay to make it more fun for killer mains was fine but not addressing the issues of the character for the other side is not. Trickster counterplay still rely on being at a high wall structure which is very situational. Demo, billy, blight, oni, wesker, chucky, etc all can be juke and baited in a direction. All the mid range attackers cab be dodge (nessmiss, PH, huntress, slinger). Outside of the nurse most killer who's heavily despised all have one thing in common... terrible counterplay. Clown just another force u to leave the loop knight archetype killer with zero options but run. Rework him or buff him with actual counterplay attach
-
The same as always
solo q usally bad, killers a mix bag, and SWFing fun. I try to rotate through all three ways of playing as much as possible and solo q always the most frustrating
-
clown need better counterplay before buffing him in any type of way. Personally I don't think he need a buff at all.
-
killers rarely dc in my experience. They will just hide in basement or sit by the gate. Sometimes a killer will fail at hard tunneling and will dc to avoid the exit gate dance off.

I have been playing this game since the Nea DLC was released, and from what I have seen, tunneling has gradually increased over time. Now, it seems to be at its peak,. Almost every killer relying on tunneling to win games. While it might be normal to tunnel someone out to win a game, especially when the last generator is standing but playing against killers who grab their ultimate weapon and start tunneling the first person they hang right from the start of the game is really boring and unfair. We just had to rage quit a game with my friend because of this. A baby xenomorph player tunneled my teammate using the ultimate weapon. We tried to intervene and took hits for her, but the killer just slugged us on the ground and didn't care, focusing only on tunneling. How can we win against such killers in solo queue games? (Sorry if i did mistake English is not my main language)
At 5 gens? i dont see that much but Just wait for the dS buff. Here a video on why players do it tho! if u want some insight. https://youtu.be/x9AS7zqLt5k?si=ANVzyj9lMt5DiTOy

A vast selection of killers that cannot be looped.
If a killer's primary counter is holding W and pre-dropping everything, then we have a problem.
it all started with the clown. Still to this day he remain an abomination to save from and to loop.

To get win streak, means starting a new match they have to guarantee its a win. Tunneling is to ensure the winning. So they can count on their winstreak.
For myself, using Myers without Gen slowdown and Green addon, even hindered myself to one hook everyone before 2nd hook others (and do the same with last hook). And I had 68% kill rate with 72%
I really dont think killers is that hard. If many other able to make 200 winstreaks and I can not (by using the same build and play style), its me who is not good enough.
That pretty impressive for a non TS Myers honestly. "i really don't think killers is that hard" The hardest thing about killer is playing a round of solo q survivor and seeing how camping/tunneling destroy them......then going right back to killer using these tactics. 😀
This game isn't for the faint of heart

1000 win streak killers are just mid MMR.
Killers in forum who struggle to get a kill and demand constant nerf on survivors actually in high MMR, which is why in high MMR its survivor sided.
lol every team that not a good 4man on comm is mid level mmr to these guys.

definitely shouldn't be possible.
win streaking was more impressive when i first started playing but after going on numerous win streaks myself it not that difficult. You just need to play dirty as possible and have a good understanding of your killer strengths/weakness. Im especially not shock by blight, top swfs, and nurse streaks.

Just imagine all the survivors huddle together with daddy blight or mommy huntress. Survivors and Killers working together for once! we need something to bring this community together and to show "hey, the other side isn't that bad". Might even be a good end game chat for once.
it might not sound as fun as a 2 v 8 or the dbd among us mode......butttttt i think it way more unique and original.

Exactly my reaction. There were users here who were even questioning if it is a Nerf to MFT. And yet, nobody plays it anymore. What a big surprise.
But you know, if you have the right build, at full moon, during the 29th of February, after offering your first born to the Entity... THEN you will get value out of MfT.
I guess most of them legit thought deep wound would be easy obtainable. Just another perk balance to obscurity. It can take a seat right next to thana and scavenger

Hey guys. Can anyone of the killer mains explains me WHY THE HELL THE MOST KILLER JUST CAMP NOWADAYS? It is really really annoying. It is like every killer does it now. I also play killer and can tell it is possible WITHOUT ANY CAMPING OR TUNNELING to get all survivors. Everyone who says different is just not a good killer whatsoever.
Sry for my rant but really it is like they can not deal with the fact they are simply get no one without camping. It is disgusting and there should be some more consequences for camping especially cause it is hella annoying that almost every killer has to do such stuff to even get anything done. It should be forbidden for killers if you ask me.
Cause look if you camp on a hooked survivor no matter which healthstate the helping survivor is it is the next person which lands on that hook where the rescued survivor was before. Because the first hit get a healthy survivor hurt and ends the rescue. So the survivor has to do it again and in that time the killer can recover. That is so stupid to be honest. So what is even the point of rescue someone with a camperkiller? There is no point. Cause it will be just not possible to help someone without get hooked afterwards. Also camping most of the times come along with tunneling and slugging. So not even did the killer camp the hell out of the survivors, no he slug you when you want to help and goes after the just rescued survivor. Sry to say that but these players should have some punishment for such playstyle. Cause if there is someone camping and tunneling, there is just simply nothing you can really do against it. Sure sometimes there are these who does this, who are crappy at that. But I saw a lot of highrank killers who does it. So these absolutly knew how to do it and that is simply not right.
Look I get it that there are sure also a lot of annoying survivors, but for real that does not excuse such a behaviour at all. SO STOP IT! It is disgusting and destroy the fun of the game. It is just nothing to be proud of, cause it only means killer who rely on such playstyle are simply very bad in playing normal. I saw a lot of normal killers, these who do not play like that and that is much more fun and exciting than these, I have to call it like this, fools who are nowhere near the based killers. And it also is more fair. Sometimes we as survivors win against a based killer and sometimes the killer does. It is up to WHO ACTUALLY HAS THE BETTER SKILL. AND NO CAMPING, TUNNELING AND SLUGGING ARE NO SKILLS WHATSOEVER, IT IS THE ABSENCE OF SKILL.
And everyone who now think OH BUT I DO TUNNELING AND IT IS OKAY CAUSE I DO IT NOT EVERYTIME AND SOMETIMES I NEED TO TUNNEL. Let me tell you this YOU DO NOT! Cause you can absolutley dominate the survivors without any of it. Everyone who say otherwise is just not good at it. There is simply no reason for tunneling at all. (Even when you have a bully squad)
Okay I just wanted to say it because it become a lot since the flashlights are gone. Nearly every killer let out his inner psycho and use these playstyles all the time. And I am very mad now.
It boring to pull up to a gen to see the survivor already pre ran, camping a pallet crouch, slow stealth walking away, or just pre dropping immediately. Most of the tactics in this game is stronger than things that require actual skill. The anticipation and precision needed to hit huntress snipe, the precise timing to curve with billy on certain loops, the reflexes and the mind games of looping/chasing, etc. Skill is secondary in this game i feel. It just all decision making and map knowledge of where to chase/loop. Tunnel, camping, pre running, pre dropping, etc none of this stuff really challenge you to make a quick skillful read or play most of the time.
-
The first effect is kinda of useless but at least interesting. The second effect is just inferior to every other aura reading perk.

Genuinely don't understand the hate around STBFL.
probably because it so good to camp with it.
It's definitely easy to build up stacks by camping with it and denying unhooks. It one of the only reasons i still play pig so hopefully it not nerf to much.

it was a terrible anti tunneling perk before this tho. I wouldn't call it high risk high reward at all. You would for the people someone and the killer would already be back on them with little to no protection

It's kinda funny how you posted the official pickrates BHVR themselves shared that almost completely matched the Top 10 pickrates on NL during that time except for Self-Care/Kindred and the order of some perks but then you said NL isn't a good source for statistics... Sure there are variables and not every single number should be taken as a fact on there but pickrates of perks specifically were mostly pretty accurate with a couple of small differences.

Firstly,
Nightlight is not a good place to go for statistics, because it is an extremely small sample size of the games that are actually played
Secondly,
Lets look at actually officially released data from a few months ago
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZHSW02L40K4Q/image.png
Usage rate =/= effectiveness. Of course something with a higher skill ceiling is going to have less use rate. Because for some reasonthis community thinks you always need to balance and look at "average" players. Even nightlight, which is not accurate, is showing something similar that the previously released statistics are showing. Look at all of those perks and think about it, what do the vast majority of them have in common?
- Windows of opportunity
- MFT
- Adrenaline
- Resilience
- Lithe
- Self care
- Deja Vu
- Sprint Burst
- Dead Hard
- Kindred
I'll give you a minute to think about it before i tell you the answer, but i really want you to think about it before you scroll down. Are you ready? Ok here we go...
All of these perks with the exception of Windows of Opportunity and MFT are perks that are either baseline, are are given to you on survivors for free from buying the game (or in the case of david, completing the tutorial). The 2 outliers here are MFT and Windows of Opportunity.
My explanation for WOO being there is that it is an amazing noob perk when you are new at the game and have no idea where anything is. It helps you learn maps faster and get to safety even if you aren't familiar with a map. If anything, this shows that WOO Should probably be made into a base perk that everyone gets.
What is the other outlier? MFT. Which this was before its nerf. And this shows that there is probably something wrong with MFT before the nerf. If its usage rate is SO high that it is actually beating out free perks so shortly after its release. Meaning you can't have it from shrine, you HAD to buy the DLC. This shows 2 things.
1) The singularity chapter was a financial success. Given that at least 21% of survivors owned the DLC, meaning that at minimum if DBD had a million players, they sold 168,000 copies of that DLC
2) MFT was a problem because of just how much of an outlier it was compared to all of the free non-paid perks.
You know what else those usage stats showed though? That self-care was the 6th most use survivor perk. Now, if we looked and balanced things based on usage statistics, this probably puts self-care in the "needs a nerf" range right? And i think we can all agree that currently self care is probably one of the worst perks in the game. So in short. Stop looking at usage statistics for your balance decisions. Especially from non-official sources.
Because do you know what else your "precious" nightlight shows? That
- Skull merchant is the most OP killer in the game
- Skull merchant, Twins, Onryo, Wraith, Chucky, Pyramid Head and DOCTOR all have a higher win rate than NURSE
- That all of those above killers and myers and hag have a higher win rate than BLIGHT
And if you think that doctor needs a nerf and is more OP than nurse, than i have a bridge to sell you.
"Look at all of those perks and think about it, what do the vast majority of them have in common?
- Windows of opportunity
- MFT
- Adrenaline
- Resilience
- Lithe
- Self care
- Deja Vu
- Sprint Burst

- Kindred

Killer perks are the exact opposite. Being free will help but players will pick the best perks regardless.

Stronger... with the right build... kinda? Standalone, the perk is really bad.
I use it a bit, it isnt too bad, but it's a noticeable decline since you have to use multiple perks to get valuable use from it.
I will admit that I did contribute to that mindset at the time, I was horribly mistaken.
"Stronger... with the right build... kinda? I use it a bit"
what build did you use? I don't wanna force mft vaule by throwing myself at the killer with anti tunnel perks (DH/DS/OTR)
