@TheVVitch if the red rank killer is not picking the survivor the right way, chances are, its a noob that you can easily defeat flashlight or not.
-
@Peanits you have a point for the number 2. However, for the following numbers:
1) If the killer is in the open, he has multiple options. He can bait, which will work once after which the survivor will adapt. The killer can just make a 180 turn to avoid the flashlight, which never failed in my entire dbd experience. Also, solo queue teammates will not go away since they are not so good, so it only works for swf. However, having an item that is only useful for swf is dumb.
3) Having unbreakable is situational and once again, the killer can just pick up the survivor in the right direction.
4) Looting items in a chest is a waste of time, your better of just gen rushing and bringing your own items.
-
I am not gonna reply to dumb arguments, only to the worth it ones:
@Hearhbound like I said, good killers can counter the pallet quick. Also, just get the habit of watching the wall and thats it. I do not get why killers do not take the habit of making a 180 turn before picking survivors, it is literally the EASIEST thing you can do in the game.
This replies to 90% of people. I also should mention that using a flashlight increase the chances of getting camped or tunneled.
-
@xenofon13 I am asking you to understand them, I did not say they are victims
-
@potatogamer its the devs that need to fix it. Killers want to kill and their job is not to follow an honor code.
@Samwise444 kyea but what about fun. Losing for being downed only once sucks. And before you get out wataboutism arguments, know that just because killers have to deal with crap that should be fixed does not mean that survivors do not have crap that should be fixed.
@Zaonhort same reply like I replied to Sam if you are saying it should stay like that?
@LetsPlayTogether well saying it needs to be fixed by the devs is not really defending it. Just saying.
@Slickstyles no, bad people make us feel bad and its not to us to adapt, its to them to stop.
-
@Jill10230 dbd is not an horror game. If survivors die every game, they will not be scared, they will just be frustrated.
-
@DrDeepwound I never mentionned 7000 hours players. If they still fail then I agree. You then use as an argument an entirely different game that does not have anything to do with dbd.
@Anara well, if you get killed in 3 seconds, you do not have the occasion to git gud.
@Pryzm you are right
-
@goatslinguer looks like someone is trying to create excuses
-
@Chloan well it was a guess based on the fact that you sayed that one of my ideas was bad, where this idea was necessary to prevent tunneling.
-
@Chloan well just a guess. Maybe your not.
-
@Artick a writing mistake on my part, Oni will be better than Billy.
-
@Halun I agree
-
@brokedownpalace decisive should only counter tunnelers. Randomly getting out of trouble is way to strong.
@Chloan well if the survivor touches to a generator or something, then it stops. And if the timer does not stop, tunnelers like you would have an easier time tunneling: if the survivor gets downed after the timer expired, which it will quickly do, then you tunneled but decisive did not do the anti-tunneling job.
-
@SpookyStabby well this is a story I like :)
-
@pseudechis I agree in the end.
-
@pseudechis I said either remove or nerf, and the mori changes sounds good. I already replied to the rarity argument.
-
@Splinterverse well maybe make is so that everyone needs to be hooked once for the mori to be usable. If a survivor can hide, the mori is countered. This would bring strategy and it would be fine.
-
@Splinterverse well its the devs fault for not giving any answer and letting issues go rampant. This post would not exist if there was not this issue in the first place. And if you do not like subjects like that, do not click on the title when you see it. Boom, fixed. Moris would still be unbalanced if they were not used to tunnel: 1 third of the objective, gone, is not balanced at all. For keys, it would make them less unfair, I agree.
-
@Mellow7 perks? By that I meant to ask which ones. Loops? Which ones and do you know how to mindgame? If survivors get unlucky, giants deadzones with no loops can screw them. Gen rushing is something that happens when you cannot apply pressure. But as I said, practice is better than theory since you can see it with your own eyes, so I still think a match against you is the best thing to do to understand.
-
@Mellow7 can you explain the reasons that make the game killer sided? Also, would you like to play a match against me, a killer? If you only play killer, then your opinion is biased due to only being able to see the problems of one side: it is hard to notice survivor frustrations without playing survivor. If you play survivor, then you, the survivor, should be able to beat me, since the game is so much killer sided like you think it is.
-
@pedroframil I agree!
-
Nope!
-
@Zender then explain why it took them this long to fix hitboxes.
-
@MongoIPSR well billy requires you to play properely to get his speed: he does not turn very well. Spirit cannot see the survivors while in her special phase. Nurse needs to accurately blink.
-
@MongolPSR anyways, creating a killer that the strenght does not involve skill isnt a good idea.
-
@MongolPSR as a survivor, you need to know how to loop and you need to do some decision making, like deciding between a doing a rescue or a gen.
-
@MongolPSR well the power of having 120% speed is not something that asks for skill,
-
Therre would be no skill involved and no difference between a skilled dude and a no skill dude with that killer.
-
@ABannedCat well it owuld be unfair for solos to nerf survivors as a hole then.
-
@wildcardyo are you sure your not just a killer main that only plays killer and fails to see the crap survivors have to deal with? Play survivor and come back to me. And by play survivor I mean play 50-50.
-
@ABannedCat well, no need to increase the skill floor when the killer is already hard and skilled based.
@ad19970 new killers have weak add ons, but here I am talking about the nerfs to strong killers, not the new ones. The new ones are not strong. For the Billy, I can tell that the ones who complain about this need to learn what counter-play is.
-
@WeenieDog well you trust the devs?
-
@MadLordJack lol the devs think their game is scary? XD best joke ever
-
@ClickyClicky well add ons need addressing, but the devs decided to nerf his base kit instead of taking down the broken add ons.
-
@bingbongboi90 well I am not sure if this data is true.
-
@ClickyClicky well, if a survivor gets sniped across the map, its his fault. Also, Billy`s chainsaw takes time to charge, leaving time for the survivor to juke, and if the billy is a god, then he deserves to win for his skill. Also, broken add ons need to be nerfed, but here they destroyed his base kit. And its true that Billy can use bbq. But bbq is a crutch perk that needs to be addressed on its own for being way to powerful. Deciding of the fate of a killer because of one crutch perk is not a good idea.
-
@ad19970 well you got good buff ideas. I will upvote you. I hope the things you are saying get implemented.
@TransverseCaster XD lol
-
@PrettyFaceKate I agree.
-
@ad19970 well I am making a post right now explaining how to buff solo survivors, you are right on that (but also nerf 3-4 man swf). Also keep in mind that the counter-play to Hillbilly is fairly simple and that Billy is insanely strong only if the killer is skilled. If the killer is a god that plays very well, then he deserves to win. And even a god billy can be countered if the survivor is very good at counter-play. And the counter-play is not hard to pull of: mindgames, turning around well, etc. Billy is not anything like dealing with a mori, being a solo, etc. I do not understand why the devs nerf a balanced (not op) killer without touching to these things.
-
@Clevite your welcome :)
-
@EvilJoshy I know it is a small change, but still, I hate it when the devs focus on dumb things instead of taking care of real survivor issues.
-
@hahahillbillygobroom well, its true that a lot of billy add ons are broken, but here they nerfed his base kit, which is skilled based, and the amount of crutch add ons players vs the amount of fair Billy users is very different. most of the time, Billy players will not use a broken add on combo. This does come from someone who does not use perks and add ons, so maybe I am wrong.
@ad19970 true, but he requires skill, which makes it ifne and deserved. Also, go watch Ussylis play against him to understand the counter-play. Also, they are a lot of worst things like camping that the devs should focus on instead of nerfing a killer that is based on skill.
@NursesBootie well, basing an opinion for a killer on the best build is not fair: the strongest build for Billy is very rarely used compared to a normal Billy build.
-
@Athanar90 well, its true that in some cases, it can be fair for a killer&survivor main to ask for things, but in this case, they need to try to put themselves in the head of the survivors&killers, otherwise their psychology will dominate them and make them think in a one sided way.
-
@Athanar90 sorry for being to salty and aggressive towards killer mains and survivor mains.
-
@Squirrel_Thicc , the point is not that every complaint is invalid, its that survivor mains and killer mains are very likely to have unvalid complaints and deny the good ones. This post basically tries to explain why, if you want a good opinion, you need to play both sides equally.
@Clevite well I tried to make a disclaimer at the end to remove the effect of attacking someone, but I understand if you feel that it was to aggressive. I should have said "a lot of killer mains" and "a lot of survivor mains" instead of "killer mains" and "survivor mains". You have a point here.
-
@Clevite well if you complai nabout balance while only playing one of the roles, then you do not have a clear view, which means your complain is likely to be entitlement.
-
First, what is the point of banning add ons that nerf the killer. This is not that bad, but second:
how can we tell if your not just trying to scam 10$?
-
Here is my diagnostic:
-
@TheButcher this does not really relate to the post. I never talked about killers or survivors being op or underwelming, I talked about players denying legitimate complains and complaining for no reasons. This is not the place to talk about the balance of the game. I would suggest you play survivor a little if you do not, but whatever.
-
@Cleavite you say that just because of one word, which I only used one time, my post is not valid?
