a letter to BHVR and the community.
Let me begin with the community.
Listen brothers and sisters, i know you dont like everything BHVR is doing, you maybe hate everything. i also dont like everything what they do. bugs, exploits, unbalanced game, unnecessary nerfs/buffs etc.. i can go longer with the list but i think you got it right.
But do you not see how much they try? where are my Veteran players? can you remember the first Launch, or just lets go back 2 years ago, can you remember how bad this game was?
The infinite cow loop, the killer shack with 2 windows what made it an infinite? 2 pallets in every jungle gym?.. 30+ pallets in every game? the 5 or 7 blink nurse? look at the game now.
Yes, its not perfect AND it will never be a perfect game. its not a 1vs1 or a 5vs5.. its a 1vs4 and balancing and making everyone happy isnt easy guys.. they try and i appreciate it, they try to make both sides happy as much as they can.
Dbd isnt a game where everyone has the same power, i mean its not like a 5vs5 shooter competetive game where everyone has the same guns etc
Its a 4vs1 with different killers and killer powers, different maps, different perks and so on. its not easy.
and you know i feel bad for the hate they get every single time.. there are 2 sides and each side wants something else.
the one is saying killers is OP the other one is saying Survivors are OP.
There is the poor solo playing guy who gets demolished by a spirit every game, then there is the cute Wraith who gets bullied by 4man SWF. You dont need to like them, but respect them BECAUSE they try.
i play this game since beta.. and you know i can remember how bad this game was.. compared with now ... i can just say WOW!
and in the current situation people are so mad and dissapointed about the Billy nerf and i can understand it BUT nobody is talking about the huge Bubba buff.. why do you guys always look at the negatives? Honestly.. i dont think they deserve the hate you giving them.
And now to the behaviour Team.
Thanks for everything even tho you make some mistakes and unnecessary changes in the game.
im sure a lot of people appreciate the work and effort you gave that game over the years and i hope the game keeps growing.
and last thing fix the dedi servers ;))))
"cringe-time" Show them love guys ❤️ for a better community.

If we never complained about anything, things wouldn't change. It took years of complaining for infinites to be fixed (and there are still some questionable windows such as on the Asylum). If we didn't complain, blood lodge would still have like 50 pallets! Vaccuum's would be a thing, nurse would still have 3 blinks default. If we hadn't complained about peer to peer connections, perhaps we wouldn't have dedicated servers today, etc.
I understand that they try. But like I said if we don't complain or point things out, the Devs may have still thought infinites are a 'mind game'. Some things that haven't been complained about enough over the years such as lost legacy cosmetics have been swept under the rug again and again until people start asking "What's legacy?".
So thank you Devs for your work, but we'll still hold you accountable and complain about silly decisions you make.
Everyone knows that this game has always been survivor sided there's no denying it, it's just a fact. The only reason they've tonned down what survivors can do is because otherwise no one would play killer and the game would be dead. Keep in mind there's 3x as many survivors than Killers so the game has a plethora of survivors but only a numbered amount of active Killers, even now survivors are still very strong and it's not really the player's fault it's the devs fault for not balancing perks, loops, time to kill, time to complete objectives etc. As someone who is competitive and wants this game to be balanced on both sides I know that will never happen with the direction they're taking this game.
Here's a letter to you:

@Mellow7 can you explain the reasons that make the game killer sided? Also, would you like to play a match against me, a killer? If you only play killer, then your opinion is biased due to only being able to see the problems of one side: it is hard to notice survivor frustrations without playing survivor. If you play survivor, then you, the survivor, should be able to beat me, since the game is so much killer sided like you think it is.
@Mellow7 perks? By that I meant to ask which ones. Loops? Which ones and do you know how to mindgame? If survivors get unlucky, giants deadzones with no loops can screw them. Gen rushing is something that happens when you cannot apply pressure. But as I said, practice is better than theory since you can see it with your own eyes, so I still think a match against you is the best thing to do to understand.
I remember and thats exactly why we have to be vocal about billys murder. They do great work all around, but when they do mistakes we have to remind them right now in the ptb, cause he will be left in that state for years afterwards and you know it. They worked on billy to make sure he can still travel, but billy is much more than that and the dev working on billy doesnt know about that. He just makes sure he can still travel, which misses the point about billy and we gotta write constructive feedback what needs to be done to keep his skillset. Because the devs genuinely dont play him well and you can feel it in the rework.
Honestly, the easiest way to "balance" this game would be an in-depth pip system.
No, stop laughing. I'm being serious. Okay, now, the reason people hate the pip system is because it doesn't do its job. It doesn't to its job because it doesn't take everything into account. But there are wildly imbalanced things in the game that heavily influence the power of one side or the other, and they are effectively ignored by the bloodpoints and pip systems. So if everything was taken into account, suddenly a deathsquads 3-minute escape, or the classic Ebony Mori Freddy's effortless 4k, are no longer instant victories. The people using these get slapped across the face with a big old "you used a crutch, you didn't earn it". Bam, suddenly people get recognition for playing an impossible-to-win scenario, and while the game itself isn't any more balanced, it also doesn't tell people they suck because they lost a game of chicken against a train after being tied down to the tracks.
