As killer, since the MMR changes I've mostly had matches that felt too easy, with a couple balanced games mixed in and one where the survivors were significantly better than me, except I still got a 3k because they hard threw at the end.
I didn't notice any significant difference as survivor on the first day of the changes, but the second day was way worse. Pretty much every match (with the exception of two games which felt reasonably balanced) either featured decent killers and bad teammates, or good teammates and killers that were clearly not on our level and didn't stand a chance of winning (but more of the former). Ironically one of my only escapes on the 2nd day was against a 3-blink Nurse.
Haven't played at all since then and likely done playing for 2.5 weeks or so until after finals are over.

There’s nothing wrong with the idea of an endgame perk for either side. The issue is how much it rewards you for accomplishing nothing. It’s too big of an effect for what its trigger condition is, even for a hex perk.
-
They won’t be removed, nor do they really need to be removed. Some of them are fine, it’s just certain ones that are badly designed.
-
I don’t see why not. I’ve always wanted weekly challenges of some kind.
-
It was stupid before the nerf but it’s fine now.

I think there are 5 Windows actually.
1 LT wall
1 Jungle Gym
That 1 Window that drops downstairs
1 Window near the drop that leads into the bathroom
I think there’s 7. There’s those 5 plus the freezer room window (the downstairs room next to the one you can fall into from above) and the window near one of the exits I’m pretty sure half the playerbase doesn’t even know about because it never gets used (it’s not a good window).

Gideon’s is a terrible map but I don’t hate it more than Badham.
-
He’s not very well designed. He’s kinda in a weird spot where he’s not even that strong overall, but it’d be very difficult to buff him without making him too oppressive.
His power either eventually downs you no matter what due to how many knives he has, or it’s extremely weak at the right loop. You can’t really outplay him in the same way that you can outplay huntress.
And he also happens to be very good at camping.
-
It’s still bugged. And she has like 4 addons that are completely nonfunctional and don’t do anything.
-
Most likely SB. Overcome is very, very strong too and will likely become more popular than it is now, but it does have a few weaknesses in that instadown killers counter it and it doesn’t do anything if you get tunneled off hook.
-
It shouldn’t always have a notification bubble telling you where it is, but if it overwrites a hex totem then it should.
-
She’s fun even if we disregard COH.
But respect to those not using that perk.
-
Although that was very unlucky for otz, I don’t really have a problem with the 4% mechanic. There should not be anything else luck-based added to the game beyond what we have now though.

There was an idea (I think from Otz) to make Traps work like this: Each Trap has a different number of Attempts. One Trap will go away on the first try, one on the second, one on the third and one on the forth. This would still be RNG on the Survivor-Side, but the Pig would have a guaranted value of 10 Box Searchers (or 2,5 per Trap on average). However, to do this, something would need to be done about AFK-PIg, because otherwise one Survivor will always die by default.
Regarding the crouch: Her stealth is actually quite good. However, you need to invest Perks into it, so Whispers and Monitor&Abuse and you have quite a good use of her Stealth-Ability. Would be better if she would have 28m-Terror Radius like she used to have, but eh.
@Topic:
Pig needs some Love to her Dash and Stealth. Still, sadly. The Add On-Pass helped her a lot, but IMO too many Add Ons still focus on her Traps and not much love is given to the rest of her Kit.
Yeah, this is what I’ve said before too - each trap should require a certain number of searches rather than needing a certain box. Then you can easily solve AFK pig by adding a 5th box (since no trap will require more than 4), since she can’t camp two boxes simultaneously.
Then with the RNG aspect of her power made more consistent, we can make the other aspects of Pig stronger. I also agree with her getting her 28m TR back.

I don’t usually bother risking devour and I just cleanse a lit totem if I see one, unless it’s very obviously a new Spirit player (since haunted is her perk) or I know for a fact there are two hex totems, or if it’s late enough in the game that I know it can’t be devour because if it was we would know by now.
Retribution gets revealed to everyone once any hex totem is cleansed (unless it’s Retribution itself), so if it ends up being the last hex active then I can know that and ignore it.
Pentimento doesn’t typically deter me from getting other hexes out of the match unless the killer is running plaything when it doesn’t make sense to (since plaything + pentimento is a popular combo). For example running plaything on wraith, and yes I have gone against someone who tried this before with pentimento and it did not work at all. We knew what was up and didn’t cleanse the playthings.
-
While I don’t think drawbacks are inherently a bad idea, I will agree that some things have drawbacks which are not necessary. The downsides on Last Will and Deer Lung for instance could be removed. Surge also shouldn’t require a basic attack.
That all said, what would be the point of Engineer’s Fang if it didn’t injure? That’s the whole point of it.

I'm just tired of having killers that have like loads of bad addons and you go through bloodweb after bloodweb searching for the good ones because the rest are garbage. Like hillbilly, nurse, and pyramid head their addons are mostly god awful. If you take away range then guess it's just a big recharge party lol. I wish all killers were like blight with how many addon combos he has or Myers with all addons that synergize together. I know it's a lot to ask for, but I'm just tired of how awfully designed the addons for a hillbilly, nurse, and pyramid head are like some like nurses actively hurt her.
Absolutely agreed especially when it comes to pyramid head. He really needs a complete addon overhaul.
-
Yes. I use DH less than 1% of the time and learned how to play the game without it, and I’m glad I did too because when it eventually gets nerfed I’m not going to be part of the group of survivors that will probably get severely thrown off by the nerf because they’re so used to using it.

How? She has 4 useable addons. The rest are all trash/meme worthy things. Her addons need help, not nerfs.
A killer as strong as nurse honestly just shouldn’t have strong addons and several of her best ones are simply too much. But while I want those nerfed, I do agree that a lot of her trash addons should get changed too.
-
The thing is, it simply isn’t fun to try and use a more chill build and then get met with full meta from the opposing side, especially as killer when not running meta typically matters more (vs. if one survivor doesn’t run full meta, but the other 3 do, then the majority of the team is still running meta).
It’d be different if there was separate ranked vs. unranked modes, or if the game was actually balanced to the point where meta builds weren’t so much better than almost everything else, but that’s not the current state of the game.
I legitimately believe that while there are some players who just use the strongest stuff for the sake of using the strongest stuff, there are several players on both sides who don’t really want to but do so simply to keep up with what they expect the other side to have on average.
-
All totems should just be invisible to survivors and unable to be interacted with for the first 30 seconds.
This ensures no matter what the killer has enough time to at least get there, even if someone did spawn near it.

But isnt their already an Addon that shows Survivors mending even without it having to be from Frenzy ?
Stab Wounds is just a worse Version of it. And its Purple.
The green addon is only within 24m. The purple shows you their aura for a few seconds after mending, but doesn’t have any range limit.

I really like the Legion changes. They didn't mention Ghostface's chase music. Hopefully they reverted that as well. That music was unbearable.
Mandy mentioned in another thread that they made some changes to his chase theme.

So first of all, welcome back.
Yeah, the game is not in a great spot right now. Circle of Healing as you pretty much already said is a huge power creep. It’s actually getting its second nerf (third if you count the PTB nerf) next week, but it’s still going to be ridiculously strong as it’s not really being nerfed in the right way.
Idk exactly how long it’s been since you played, but in case you missed it, ranks (they’re called grades now) aren’t used for matchmaking anymore, there’s an MMR system now and they actually recently made some tweaks (and by recently I mean just a couple days ago) to the system.
As far as facecamping goes, the devs have said they are working on changes to facecamping but we do not know yet what this entails or when it will be implemented. Some form of basekit BT was sort of hinted at in a Q&A stream but nothing is confirmed.
-
Yeah, ideas like this have been suggested before. If something like this was to be implemented I would make it a large penalty but only until the first chase, not the first hit.
-
If you know you can get a fast down then it can be worth it. Otherwise you usually don’t want to chase into corrupted territory.
-
@starkiller1286 said:
Buffs can spend saw stacks to extend its attack time. He likely burned several to catch up and 2-shot you.
You don’t need addons to catch up to someone and down them after chainsawing them with BT. Assuming you hit them early enough in your sweep.
-
Imo he should be 4.3 in tier 1 with no lunge penalty. He could get some other small buffs as well, but a tombstone piece nerf needs to come with it.
-
So you can’t use it multiple times in succession if you get multiple downs quickly.
It just needs to have the basic attack requirement removed. The cooldown is fine.
-
-
He doesn’t have to go to lockers to reload and you can use basic attack/Exposed perks on him pretty well. You can also get the injure by just landing a shot in some situations huntress wouldn’t be able to, even if you can’t reel them in. And even though his TR is 32m, that still isn’t a 45m lullaby.
There’s no question that Huntress is the stronger killer though.

That has been adjusted yes!
Oh thank goodness. I’m glad that and the hemorrhage feedback was addressed, I think those were probably the two things I saw come up the most lol

I hope so.

How is stalking without stalking a good thing? I can't really think of any reason to stalk a survivor without exposing them.
I probably have 10 hours on ghostface since i bought him on launch so i am very much a noob with him.
Not saying reverting it is a problem, just curious is all.
It lets you watch areas/stalk someone without accidentally marking someone else nearby who is already 99.

Julie’s Mixtape + Iri Button + Enduring.
Enough said.

Thank god recovery regression got removed. That was absolutely stupid

I'm wondering if the release on Wednesday is a typo as from my memory, all major updates have been on Tuesdays, with the rift opening on the Wednesday.
Usually they are on Tuesdays, but Wednesday updates have happened before.

If I’m killer, then:
Any variation of Badham
Old Haddonfield (but maybe not anymore)
Cowshed
Mother’s Dwelling
Eyrie
RPD
Suffocation Pit
Chapel if the god window spawns, if not then it’s fine
The Game
Any other indoor map if I’m playing a killer whose power is severely limited by it. If not then I actually like lerys and midwich.
Hopefully I didn’t miss anything.
-
Wraith or Legion.
Trapper is easy to understand and pick up too, but it’s not as easy to play him well.
-
Perks, generally speaking. Even though some killers have ridiculously strong addons.
-
Hag is absolutely miserable to go against. I'm glad no one plays her.
-
@GoshJosh said:
No, I think that’s fine. It will definitely be more incentive to hunt it down though.
Yeah that's kinda what I wanted. I pretty much never see anyone use it, but when I do run into it I don't usually bother spending time looking for it.
-
This would be potentially exploitable when the survivors are not necessarily safe.
-
His design inherently sets solos and SWFs even further apart than normal against him because the box is an additional objective that solo survivors can’t coordinate as well. I’m hoping that when they make the general solo q changes (eg. the portrait status icons they teased) it might help out a bit with that.
Having said that, I think he’s mostly fine, but there are a couple changes I would make to him.
- Survivors cannot be passively attacked by chains while attempting to solve the box, unless Pinhead summons it himself. Although there is a way to play around this, it’s not intuitive at all and causes a lot of frustration if you don’t know about it, and quite frankly there’s no reason for it to be this way.
- In return, Pinhead can walk through his own chains without breaking them.
-
It's poorly designed. It's not overpowered or busted, just feels cheap if you or one of your teammates dies to it just because the killer couldn't stop the gens.
And to be clear, I am not saying the survivors have won just because they have finished the gens. That is not the case at all. But what essentially boils down to a free 3-stack devour hope with a speed boost just because the majority of the opposing side's objective has been completed is stupid.
I don't want it nerfed, I want it changed/reworked.

So, they basically ''improved'' SBMM?
Personally I haven’t noticed much difference so far as survivor.
Killer last night was a bit more of a mixed bag. I had a couple challenging games but most of my matches last night were too easy, which also included a 4k at 5 gens as artist because someone ragequit after getting injured by a crow and immediately grabbed off a pallet 2 seconds later, lol.
-
The changes listed in yesterday’s dev post have gone into effect.
-
Also just to help clarify a bit, this is what it should look like normally (old screenshot from before the bug started happening):
-
DBD isn’t an FPS game and shouldn’t be treated exactly like one. The quickscope nerf was necessary and should not be changed back.
What should be changed back is his terror radius. If monitor is really a problem, then give him a 24m lullaby as well, but making his TR 32m was completely unnecessary.
-
Overall I think dead dawg is slightly killer sided, but not by a whole lot.
But I like it either way because I like small maps.
-
Hard to say until we find out how they’re actually changing the perk.
