  • Welcome to dbd where matchmaking and ranking both work together to make the worst games for everyone.

you say that with ur OP perks and pink keys which guarantees a free escape most of the time

K you say that with your pink add ons and spirits and freddy's that you can 4k easily with most of the time. Good grief lol.

  • @Hyd said:

I ######### you not, 20 minutes it took queuing to get a game. I know that's not an impressive number for Beerfest or anything but #########, BHVR can do better.

The queues got slower for me when console players came in. How bvhr managed that, I'll never know.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

with respect i would put freddy at A tier, he is good but too basic so he can't apply the same pressure as the other S tier killers.

sure he has a tp and a slowdown but his power isn't as oppressive as the other 3, It makes him reasonably beatable and outplayable in chases.

"Too basic." He can literally teleport to any incomplete gen, use snares to deny any loop, use fake pallets for free hits and use add ons for gen slow down. He literally has everything and does better than spirit statistically lol.

I think Bubba is stronger than Slinger. Also I think the Twins are higher than Myers

    By far.

  • Ya no please waste your energy complaining about ooo instead of other actual good perks, I have no issue with that lol.

  • @warcrafter3001 said:

Moris are the killers' answer to keys. Nerfing moris but not keys at the same time is absurd.

Keys and moris are NOT comparable. For all 4 survivors to benefit from a key they have to complete all generators. For a 3 escape, you need 4 gens done and the death of another team mate. You have to work all game to achieve a key escape.

The best time to use a key is when you're playing with randos because it's the best counter against garbage team mates who die early.

  • Comparing ooo to moris lmao. You dont need ooo for map awareness especially with swf. Ooo is nothing but a meme/troll perk. Clearly it's working on you.

  • You guys really need to give this idea to god. It's been suggested 1000s of times. We don't want it.

  • @Ghoste said:

I'll just be blunt about it, Survivors are all the same; therefore, they bring no new game mechanics with them.

The Killer is what we all really care about. Killers want to use their new mechanics, and Survivors want to play against those new mechanics.

So how about we just get rid of the fluff? Instead of adding yet another skin dispensary (let's be honest, that's all Survivors are), focus on just the Killer so its new gameplay is enjoyable for both sides, and also bug-free.

And you might say, well what about Survivor perks? We only get new ones with new Survivors! And to that I say, you're right! So with each new content update the devs would revamp existing Survivor perks so they feel new and fresh to use.

All in all, I'd like to see this game avoid DLC entirely and focus on game health instead. But since that isn't going to happen, BHVR could at least only focus on the important stuff (New Killers), and they could finally get around to rehashing the heaping pile of perks no one wants to play with.

Speak for yourself. Survivor skins are about the only exciting thing I get to look fwd to as a survivor main. Most of the perks that come out are complete garbage. I very much get excited about every girly surv that comes out and so do my friends.

  • Nah the Twins are very strong. Their snowball potential is insane. Most hardly even use Charlotte. They just use victor who runs around the map like a legion but with the ability to down and slug survivors. Once everyone is injured the pressure is on. Trying to heal before victor comes back again and again and again can be extremely difficult and obnoxious. So far victor seems pretty brain dead to me. But these were good killers. Sounds like you arent using her like the good ones.

  • @keygun said:

If you're in first hook, I'm running to you, you attempt to yeet trying to steal my unhook points, I'll just wait till you reach second stage.

I did this to a Dwight, and he decided to sabotage the game and help killer find me.

Sandbag, clicking flashlight in my direction, and the killer took his side without any knowledge.

Next time I see someone try to yeet when they see me coming for save, I'm just going to turn around and leave you on hook.

"Wah don't steal my bps, how dare you try to have by getting the 4%!" This game isnt all about points its about fun too.

I personally encourage others to try and kobe with a little wave. The things you baby survs whine about... Go play killer if you're that poor.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1793097#Comment_1793097

I can comprehend plenty. I have been a Legion main for a long time. I know how to play Legion. I also know their strengths and weaknesses. The free hits bit is silly. Most people that KNOW a Legion is coming keep themselves spread out so that the chance of Legion using their power for a stab is minimized greatly. At most it gives the Legion a head start before they become an M1 slugger that is penalized for M1. Add on top of that the fatigue they will take if they choose to pursue someone at the edge of their Killer Instinct range.

Legions primary power isn't "free hits". It's to apply pressure by keeping the Survivor team in an Injured state, which in theory means that every Survivor is one hit away from Dying. Their entire power is built around this premise. They run around, getting everyone Injured by any means possible within justification. Hence why they can vault pallets and windows. They are basically throwing out lethality in trade for being able to get to a target within a set time-frame. It is by no means free, and comes with a litany of punishments to the Legion player, regardless of whether they played well or poorly. The fact you even think this way makes me believe YOU don't properly comprehend the Killer. Furthermore, Legion is TECHNICALLY a mid-tier Killer, statistically speaking. This means that many people DO actually play Legion alright. The issue is the lack of lethality and a low skill ceiling due to the punishment mechanics that work against Legion.

There are minor, QoL improvements that can be made to Legion in order to "buff" them. Most Legion players would be happy with that. Also, Deep Wounds is garbage and needs a rework more than Legion does.

As for having no counters, no. Not healing keeps everyone Injured (obviously), but has the bonus of invalidating Legions power use. At that point, it's a small mobility boost if you want to clear the map faster, but that's about it. Once you get to someone, you have to eat a DS-lite before you can attack them as normal, allowing them to make their way to a loop or obstacle. If you think an M1 Killer that can move fast every now and then and eats a DS after every jog can't be countered, you got problems. Legion isn't one of them.

Spread out and never heal, yup. Everyone is forced to be injured or waste time healing against a killer that gets yes, free hits. You can twist it anyway you want, they are free hits. Are there weaknesses around it? Yes, as there should be. But they are still free hits. His counterplay to his actual power in chase is boring bc there is none.

As I said, he's basically fine just poorly designed and thus a buff would not be healthy. I know people that play Legion and do more than fine. I'm not advocating for a nerf or buff, simply a reworking if killers dont enjoy him. I find that hard to believe though so I see him so often.

If he is mid tier, good. Not every killer needs to be a god like Freddy and Spirit. Especially when solo survivors rely solely on rng for their quality of team mates.

Besides, he's most think hes trash bc most killers dont run tiles well at all and they rely heavily on their powers these days. I have 5k hours and rarely come across a killer that runs tiles well at all. They are out there and they are usually m1 pigs and trappers who know how to actually kick ass in tiles.

  • What can you not comprehend? His first hits have no counterplay. There are players that know how to use him effectively. They will not buff him unless he is reworked. That is the consequence of having a killer that gets totally free hits.

The killer is fine, most people just suck at using him because they cannot run tiles for their hit downs.

  • My friend says he 4ks with legion at r1. Killer is poorly designed. Gets half his hits free and forces survivors to essentially play injured all game with little counter. Hell need a rework before he gets a buff.

  • @Schmierbach said:

I'm not going to handicap myself because the game matched me against you. Get better and overcome your obstacles, instead of dragging people down to your skill ceiling.

Ah yes, just accept that rng gives you trash team mates constantly while the killers abuse it endlessly as they constantly whine for more buffs bc they cant handle 4 good survs stacked together anymore. I really cant with you killers lol.

  • @Verconissp said:

No. i'm sorry but sadly no. this would be abusing the system to avoid Good players on dbd. making them have a Longer queue time. i would not even support this idea at all. Just my thoughts,

Ah yes. But It's okay killers can see profile names and dodge as they see fit.

  • Just remember, they defended god nurse relentlessly. I played spirit with meh perks and solely relied on phasing and nearly won every match for several r1 seasons. For anyone who likes a challenge that gets boring fast but many just want cheap wins and spirit with any meta build will do it. I had complete control over almost every game as Spirit. More consistent control than I ever could have as survivor.

Spirit is a free win killer. You can make multiple mistakes with very little punishment. She is like nurse but with very little skill ceiling. I'm a terrible killer main, I've completely forgotten how to run tiles but damn I could phase ggez bc she totally ignores them. Took killer mains forever to put her above billy tier. Killer mains are slow and dishonest. Dont be afraid to voice your opinion, the devs do pay attention. Most of us have 1000s of hours on both sides of the game and know how broken spirit is. Ignore these noob killers lol. Their opinions are loud on the internet bc survs can vent with their friends instead of having to whine on reddit.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Red rank killer (and survivor) here. The competitive scene of this game can be unforgiving. You win some and you lose some, but every now and then, human nature comes into play. I am 1 match into my current play session and I feel like getting off. Why? Because playing killer + toxic SWF = zero fun. I try to ignore it, and tell myself to just play for fun, but it doesn't work. If there is no chance of winning, I'm not having fun. That is especially true when sadistic people, who use this game as an online bullying tool, have to rub salt in the wound. When winning isn't enough for you, you've got a problem.

But my biggest issue is: where's the pushback? As individual players, all we can do is ignore the toxicity. Toxic people will be toxic, but maybe there would be less of them if they were at least told that what they're doing is wrong.

To my knowledge, the devs haven't said a word about unsportsmanlike behavior, despite the useless in-game report feature. Why not? Do they approve of it or what? Because frankly it's pushing longtime players, as well as new ones, away from the game. These toxic players, confident in knowing that their behavior is a back burner issue to the devs, if even that, is ruining this game and it's image.

So I say: If toxicity is wrong, let's hear it. Give us something.

They have addressed it though. With DC penalties and end game chat bullying can result in permanent bans which I've seen happen to other players so ik it happens. You can switch end game chat off. They've equipped us with perks that help against scummy tactics like DS and BT.

At the end of the day there is only so much they can do. Gaming culture as a whole is incredibly toxic and immature and the issue is kind of beyond dbd. Playets will always find a way to tease the other side.

I'm a console player who has always had it off. None of us wanted this. Why not just opt out instead of insulting console players to make your insecure self feel better?

Bc queue times are very long when you opt out of crossplay and killers dodge a lot as well. (You end up playing the same ones over and over) so if you outplay them they'll dodge or bring moris. It's unplayable.

  • @JoeyBob said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1769027#Comment_1769027

Let's be honest though, the only reason people use chat is to flame.

It's really not. When you have a solo team actually do something successful especially now, it's nice to laugh about it and add eachother. Now that is not possible most of the time. I rarely have a single pc player with me when I solo now which is ridiculous. Feels like I'm playing with bots.

  • I hate that I cannot socialize with console players. When I solo'd I enjoyed chatting in the pre and post lobbies. Now they are just strangers I'll never communicate with or be able to add to my steam friends list.

Crossplay has added nothing to this game. The queue times are exactly the same. The players are just as bad or worse. So what was the point?

Turning it off is not an option as surv or killer. Queues are endless when you opt out. Overall a pointless change in my experience.

I fail to see how crossplay benefitted anyone's gameplay experience.

  • @xenotimebong said:

I don’t know why people are making fun, I enjoyed this post. It makes a nice change to see someone actually having fun in this game and getting into the role, rather than bitching about petty grievances.

Killer mains cannot STAND hearing other killer mains admit the game is fun and fair. That would expose how balanced their side actually it! I cant even mention Spirit being easy without getting flack its hilarious.

  • @IrishRedCap said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1767275#Comment_1767275

I play PC with crossplay turned off majority of the time. I turn it on to make the game simplistic to finish Tomes otherwise the skill gap between PC and console (especially switch players) is disgustingly apparant.

From currently a day and a half of blood lust removal I've seen a large uptick in camping/tunneling which is a detriment to the game and going to lead to more bitching from survivors.

Killer shack has become more difficult, not impossible, but difficult to either get a greedy hit (survivor staying to long) or baiting the pallet quickly. If you stay around shack and aren't concerned with dropping the God pallet its not difficult on survivor side to run loop a few times (this is door AND window) take a hit and stay. Then throw pallet the moment you get killer in shack and just bolt away like its nothing. No fear in keeping the chase active after 1 hit when you are guaranteed to make it to safety.

The biggest issue I have seen is for 110% killers that dont do well with good survivors (hag particularly) I've been almost forced to play PWYF to get w/e little boost I can without having to turn pub mode and turn MWD on. Huntress has always been an iffy killer to nail down. The range makes her excellent, the hum makes her obvious, the speed makes her frustrating. 110% killers (sans huntress and deathslinger [1 game each]) have been non-existent in my games this weekend. So the already dwindling acceptable killer list is shrinking even more.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1766937#Comment_1766937

Yah join the conversation when you have more to input over a primary school response. There is a difference in RELYING on blood lust and having it as a backup when you have a survivor with 2k+ hours that would probably run a pleb for 5 gens that doesn't know how to break off. Someone who can run loops + chain loops is balanced out by the existence of BL1.

There is no difference. I get matched with ######### survs all the time that essentially force me to lose. Wheres my backdrop then? Outplay me, dont ask for speed boosts to do it like a noob.

  • @JoeyBob said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1767573#Comment_1767573

Yep, now bad killers are just going to do worse when they are already losing. Maybe it would be different if matchmaking was balances, but it isn't.

Huh? Bad killers should be losing lol. Stop being bad. And as if matchmaking doesnt screw survs over constantly. I've lost 3 of my last games trying to carry all 3 of my team mates who do not know how to play the game. Killers get to abuse badly matched team mates ALL the time. Youre going to need to try harder if you wanna play the victim.

  • @helix43 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1766987#Comment_1766987

Lol, 70% of loops on maps can't be mind gamed. Let's not forget that they've brought back infinite loops on the new reworked maps, and older maps still have infinite loops too. Survivors shouldn't be able to safely loop killers at loops for 5 minutes without any penalties. Get your head out of your arse.

If you think 70 percent of the map isnt mind gameable, especially with most killer powers lol well that's on you.

  • @JoeyBob said:

Bloodlust allows killers to potentially down survivors when they've been in a chase for a long time without breaking pallets. Not only does this change force killers to break pallets they could otherwise bloodlust, but it gives the potential to drastically increase chase times without any downside to the survivors.

Game is just becoming more and more survivor sided. First they nerfed bloodlust now theyre removing it all together.

Lol no. You should not be rewarded for avoiding obstacles and failing to outplay via minigames. Pallets are all a surv has and you want to just speed past them? Yeah, that destroys the entire point of them.

  • @AggressiveFTW said:

I am asking because it seems like the results are very mixed from what I've been hearing from people now that Bloodlust is disabled. Maybe keeping tier 1 but removing 2 and 3 would be a better idea than removing the whole mechanic?

Why should a killer be rewarded for being outplayed in loops and jungle gyms? Break the pallet.

  • @IrishRedCap said:

Then look at it from the arguments presented.

Currently the most against argument I've seen is that Bloodlust is a crutch for lower rank/newer killers and not used much for high rank/experienced killers.

The argument for it (which i am on) is that Bloodlust is necessary due to high skilled survivors knowing when to drop pallets and how to chain loops. This coupled with speed perks and smaller maps once you get 20+ hrs of survivor in the game bloodlust becomes essential for killers.

BHVR is you honestly think its a crutch for killers or it become overly relied upon by lower rank killers then how about swapping it up. Instead of allowing killers to speed up (which yes can be a problem if you know how to abuse it and branch off after hitting BL1 to chase a healthy survivor and hit BL2 quickly for a free hit), how about we put a stamina depreciation on survivors.

If a survivor is being chased for 20 seconds without breaking line of sight or dropping a pallet they lose speed at the same rate a killer gains with current BL. If a survivor uses the same window 3 times and summons the entity to block the window they are hit with the same speed decrease.

This puts the skill on the survivors and it stops the BL abuse that can be the only reason (besides being disgusting survivor mains 😉) that the devs must have running through their mind.

Just an FYI I have played this game BEFORE bloodlust was ever introduced and definitely prefer BL being here than without.

Stop relying on bloodlust and outsmart survivors during loops and jungle gyms. You should not rely on speed boosts to catch a surv. Rely on mind games just as survs have to. Aka, get good.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Honestly iv just had enough of these games, if i am chased first and do a long chase just to go down and see 3 people running around doing nothing im giving up. i will not carry bad players anymore and ill just get out the game and actually find a new one where players actually play, im tired of running kindred to see all 3 people run towards me and im tired of having to do most of the gens and still lead on the longest chases in the match to just have a chance. FIX THE DAMN RANKING OR PUNISH PLAYERS NOT DOING THE OBJECTIVES OR DECENT CHASES.

Nothing wrong with that. If my team mates are going to drag the whole game to superhell you bet I'll leave asap to the next game. Idk why the devs continue to force me to lobby up with noob ranks. All it does is mean I'll dodge once the match starts.

If they mix every skill level into a match and the killer goes full tryhard abusing the matchmaking crisis I just ditch on hook. Not my problem. I'll do it until I find a real team.

Right? It's comments like Siren's that always makes me wonder exactly how good at Survivor they are. Like are they really that bad that you think Killer's are strong at all? Sounds like someone needs to get better at survivor, and actually learn the map layouts before telling someone to get better at Killer. The game is literally designed that if you do everything right as survivor - you cannot be touched. Period. Doesn't matter how well the Killer play's. The Killer has to get the most out of the survivor's mistakes.

All the while the Killer is supposed to be seen as some kind of imposing threat? The only imposing thing in my games is the sound of my ass cheeks clap, when I am twerking at the exit doors.

😭 Girl I have 5k hours and all of my friends, myself included, main at least one killer we can consistently 4k with. This game is the easiest it's ever been for killers and if you cant even find an s tier to destroy with effortlessly then that is totally on you :/

  • @TheButcher said:

I get they want data, but the game is already stressful enough to play. Then to disable Bloodlust on top of that, when it's needed in maps like Autohaven, Haddonfield, and the Elementary School just to catch survivors around the long and ridiculously close loops. There is no point putting yourself through that additional stress.

I'm sure I'm not the only one making this decision. Most probably won't say anything, especially since when anyone voices anything killer related they just get dismissed.

Anywho. This kind of 'test' should of been done on the PTB, not the main game. The main game should be used for the best experience, not making harder on the most stressful role just for data.

Blood lust was always a bandaid that would eventually come off when they felt maps had been more fairly balanced for killers. The game has buffed killers immensely since bloodlust first came around. The fact like YOU dismiss all that the devs have done for killers tells me you do not care at all for balance, only easy games for yourself. Time to get good. Maps are in a far more healthy state now. Time to adapt or quit. I could care less what you do.

From my experience, starting out as a Survivor wasn't all that bad. Sure, you won't start out with great perks, but you can acquire them significantly faster than any Killer player can. Furthermore, since you're in a team of 4, there's less pressure for you personally to do well. Also... unless you randomly get a killer with BBQ early on (which is unlikely) playing stealthy works quite well at early ranks.

We just had a r15 get tunneled at 5 gens lol. Killer was r9 and did not give af. The problem is nobody gets on dbd as survivor knowing what looping even is. Everyone gets on killer knowing how to press w and swing at survivors.

Good on you. People who smurf or just overall bully deserve what they get honestly. Those same people need to realise, if not for people like us willing to tolerate their bullshit, they wouldn't even get a damn match. When the game does eventually start to run low on killers, they can thank themselves for it, for running the decent folk out of the game.

Lmao you remind me of the good ol killer strike movement. Your threat means nothing to anyone. Good killers stay and unfortunately, too many whiny killers dont leave. Game only grows.

  • @Aneurysm said:

I know these issues are pretty much known to everyone but since starting to play on steam as well as ps4 you get a much better idea of what they're supposed to endure. Apart from a few matches where I've been matched with noobs I'm going against red and purple survivors with 1000s of hours, and full perk sets -which is fine with me, obviously a bit more engaging than killing beginners although ideally I'd have something a bit more to throw back at them apart from tier 1 spies and tier 1 bloodhound-

but how many new players drawn to the killer role are going to stick around if they're just going to be a punching bag match after match? I get that matchmaking is probably always going to be terrible, possibly even with MMR. But give new players something. A more advanced tutorial, a training area (everyone wants one and if you could try out new killers and perks there you'd probably increase sales), a warning or BP boost when their lobby is full of reds, a way to unlock some free perks from the shrine, idk but you should give them something.

Lol why so much focus on the killer side? Playing new as survivor was far more painful. Tunnels, camps, more tunnels. Even if you get better you have to rely on your team mates doing so as well. Super fun as a brand new surv. I quit a week after and decided to keep playing but my sister quit and never came back lol. Game is way easier to start as killer but you will suddenly be hit with a rude awakening at around r13 bc survivors have to earn their first ranks where as killers just blow through it and freak out when the game does hurrdurr a win for them anymore. Unless they main freddy and spirit. You can keep hurrdurring then.

  • All you can do is hope the killer is really bad honestly. Luckily there are just as many boosted killers as there are red rank survivors but the killer only needs to rely on himself. It only takes one bad team mate to screw everyone over. The problem with survivor is you can only boost other survivors so much. Even if I try to get the killer to focus on me, nothing I can do if my team mates waste it all self caring and hiding the entire time.

Red ranks has rank 20 quality survivors more than not. It is a treat to see a red rank survivor know what they are doing. Most competent killers can easily abuse a poorly matched and ranked survivor team.

All you can really do is try to read the killer and your team. Do they all go down instantly and not do gens? Play extremely passively and make the hatch your goal. Do they try to get gens done but cant loop? Then I will attempt to run the killer. Have another good looper on your team? Bust those gens bc the other 2 survivors will go down fast. Sometimes the randos will clown around enough to keep the killer off gen petrol so I can safely get most of them done.

Solo is an rng experience and extremely inconsistent no matter your rank. Killers like to think VC is what makes SWF strong. It's not. It's because we get to have a full competent team that knows how to play and help eachother and we cant have that can we. ;^)

Urban literally promotes TERIIBLE game play. Allows people to just hide and do nothing all game and yes this happens at rank 1. I have just played 4 games where all 3 Randoms and yes these were different Randoms just URBANED around all game. its terrible and annoying when you are trying to play a game and you die with 3 gens left because you are the only person to have done gens and run the killer for 10 minutes. Now im not knocking anyone who uses it and uses it well. But this perk literally is annoying to me as survivor.

I used to be a huge fan of Urban when it first got buffed. No, I wasnt an urbaning Claud, I despise those. But the perk is good for juking killers mid chase or maneuvering quickly to a camped hook without getting seen. Overall, when I dropped the perk I was simply better at stealthing and didnt need it anymore. With so many anti stealth perks anyways it really isnt that useful. And unfortunately, the perk is usually used extremely poorly by the worst survivor players. I'd say the same for SC but that perk can only be used in a poor manner.

I wanted to know people's opinions.

When I say buff, I mean largely keeping his kit the same with some minor adjustments (maybe some QoL changes) while making doing an add-on pass. Rework would be changing several aspects of their power, and a total rework is completely changing the killer.

Personally? i think a minor rework would be good enough while changing most of his add-ons, but that's just me.

He needs a complete rework. He is essentially a loading bar simulator and half his hits are 100 percent free forcing you to play injured the entire game with no stealth counterplay thanks to his anti stealth abilities. Its poor design and killers still think hes too weak so I guess nobody is satisfied with him?

  • @danielmaster87 said:

I think this is a serious problem that never gets talked about. There are so many add-ons for killer that do next to nothing for you, or that actively work against you. About half of a killer's many different add-ons are useless in my opinion (as well as others' opinions), which is pretty insulting to the killer players of this game. Many of them could be great add-ons if their numbers were tweaked a bit. But unfortunately most are either speed limiter level (useless) or iri hatchet level (busted). I'm mainly concerned with the weaker ones, because the state that they're in, which is unplayable, is what causes killers to use meta add-ons all the time. The joke add-ons like speed limiter should never be common, because every time you're forced to buy one of them in the bloodweb, that's wasted bp because we will never ever use them unless we're smurfing against rank 20s or something. The Hillbilly add-on that makes your overheat go down faster while a flashlight is on you is a complete joke. Deathslinger's iridescent, like most iridescents that aren't iri hatchet, sucks. Having to fire at almost max range just to get an instadown? Not worth it. There's just so much that I could go into regarding how bad most of these add-ons are, but I think I've made my point.

They wanted killers to be less add on dependent?

  • Why? No counter argument? Just mad dbd doesnt favor killers as much as jason? Oh wait it does just play spirit lol

Tell that to all the red rank spirits that walked right past my sorry rank 14 butt hiding in bamboo and corn

One juke is not going to save you against a good spirit lol. Most of the maps dont have corn or bamboo. I had no trouble getting survs in corn. Spirit and surveillance equals ggez. You can hide all you want while your gen regresses.

It's an open secret that most maps are optimized around the killer they came with.

Hag has her swamp that hides her traps excellently, Spirit has nooks and crannies that allow her to phase unseen, but also allow survivors to hide from her (after all, spirit's main counterplay is stealth, regardless of everyone crying that only chases are fun), Deathslinger has his high ledges and drop points alongside a lot of cover to duck behind for survivors, Legion has a big open map to run around on stabbing people in a row etc.

But outside of their hometurf a lot of killers, especially new ones can be as much a chore to play as it is to play against them.

So, do you think maps should also get a design update that allows for more fun on both sides, because the offer more chances to use the abilities as killer and more means to counter it as survivor?

How is Spirit ever not unseen during phase? Lol. Stealth does not counter Spirit. She gives very little time to juke unseen once you hear her phase. This is coming from a past spirit main. And dont tell me she moves grass and the very few times that happens it somehow adds any counterplay for survivors lol. Theres so many anti stealth, map information perks it is impossible to prepare and avoid them all. Using stealth was viable against nurse back in 2017 but that was a very different game. Even then, those games were hell. That argument doesn't work anymore.

I´m 30 years old as of recently and I´ve legit never heard of FNAF before this forum was blessed with 10 posts about it every day.

At first glance, it looks like a goofy kids game. I can´t rememer who unfortunately, but a forum member convinced me to at least check it out before judging so harshly.

So I watched playthroughs of the first 3 games, I think. Not gonna lie, it did little to improve my stance on it. But little it did.

I think many people that value the established Horror icons share this oppinion. It feels almost insulting to grant these figures a place among our roster. To me, at least. I´m worried that time and money could be wasted on something that is upsetting and disappointing to a significant portion of the playerbase. It also broadens what can and can´t be added a bit too much for my liking. The fact that it´s supposed to be that popular is baffling to me, but I may be an edge case.

    I hope it never comes.

Lol f13 balanced? Game is like playing freddy and spirit with trapper traps. All you do is trap the objectives and insta choke everyone. When's the last time anybody had a full team of tryhards to take on Jason? The only time there's any more than 2 escapes is when the Jason is totally incompetent.

Even the devs said the game wasnt balanced. They WANTED Jason to be overpowered with escaping being the exception. Which is terrible design considering the game isnt scary at all, just annoyingly frustrating as counselor. I thank god every day you guys arent on the dbd balance team lol.

How it would be unfair? It would be extremely helpful against hackers and SWF.

You just proved her point lol.

Popping nearly two gens in the first couple minutes. What I get from that is "We wAnT oUt Of dA MaTcH NoW" Like seriously how is it any fun. I can handle rushers relatively well but it's the most boring brain dead game I could imagine. Chase this person, down them, gen pops. Chase next person, down them just as quickly as the first, 2 gens pop. Rinse and repeat. I don't see how it is fun having little to no interaction aside from sticking to gens like a fly on a cow pie. It isn't a tournament.

The first two gens go the fastest bc that is when the killer has the least amount of pressure. You're only complaining bc you dont know how to, "kill rush." This game is a race. You rush kills and we rush gens. Imagine asking your opponent to slow down because you cant keep up? Silly right? Especially since survivors dont have multiple objectives or ways to escape. And really, whenever we mess around with the killer instead of gen rush they just call us bad and toxic anyways lol.

You want to have a down by two gen pops. Most killers will get a down before two gens are done in solo. If three gens pop before you have a down you are in trouble depending on your skill but not impossible to turn around by any means.

  • Dood just ######### on hook lol save the dcing for the facecamping LF lol.

OP claimed survivors have to "work very hard for very little reward". A suboptimal survivor team can claim a high reward against any killer that doesn't have high mobility and lethality just splitting up, holding M1 and holding Shitf+W when the killer gets closer, pre-dropping pallets also works. The exception is if the map is very small.

Okay and what? What about killers with high mobility and high lethality? What's your point? I rarely see low tier killers lol. And when I do it's usually with strong add ons. Suboptimal killers can destroy most survivors with mid to strong killers. There are more cheesy lethal killers than not. And it only takes one garbage rando to take out the whole team.

  • @Ihatelife said:

That's the point. Killer should be overpowered against 4 survivors.

Huh? Killer should be balanced evenly against 4 survivors. Not overpowered. Smh.

Holding M1 is hard work now btw

Why do killers act like all survivors do is gens lol are yall so traumatized by looping and juking that you just block that whole part of our job out lool
