I wouldn't call it OP necessarily; most of the time I only get two kills or less with an infinite tombstone Myers, and that's in large part because the survivors only have gens to do in the meantime. It can result in some pretty amazing moment tho, both as killer and survivor.

I had a game recently where a David kept jumping in lockers to avoid being mori'd during the hatch EGC while I kept having him wiggle off to give myself another go at it, and about 3 seconds before the end, he started clicking his flashlight while standing near a locker, but I rounded the jungle gym wall from an unexpected direction and shanked him from behind. It was very entertaining.

It's a free mori lol how is that not op? The only reason it's probably one of the weakest rare add ons is bc imo Myers is the weakest killer in the game.

  • Idk why but a tombstone Myers is the most fun op ability to go up against in dbd. I think we made the last two dc bc we jumped in lockers the whole game lol. It's usually obvious. Kinda hilarious when it gets you by surprise. Out of all the op bs in this game, I'd want to see this one leave the latest

  • If the devs are never going to fix the matchmaking/ranking system for survs to ensure we get half decent team mates that dont screw you when they dont need you anymore, then kindred should be a BASE kit for survivors.

  • Lol other events have been far more killer sided. With the halo one you had to escape to get as surv and killers simply had to grab one. These posts are so petty and childish.

Why does every argument on both sides have to be "hurr durr killer bad" or "hurr durr survivor bad"?

    Both sides are equally #########.

Yep, both killers and survivors are unreasonable, not just killers.

Not really. You can win every game pretty reliably with certain killers. My win condition as survivor depends a lot on the rng team I have and killer type I go up against. Survivors put up with far more variables and bad team mates. Bad team mates will make you lose no matter what you do. It only takes one bad apple to ruin everything against a good killer.

I can win pretty much every game as spirit if I choose the best perks. I never run out of bps as killer to run out of my favorite add ons. I dont have to rely on team mates. It's just me and my fancy walmart headset. I have almost total control of the outcome of the match. It's just whether I mess up too many times or not. Even then you arent really punished as Spirit like even Nurse for being bad. SWF is not an auto win. Plenty of killers have little to no weaknesses and can pretty much win any game. Solo is totally broken due to us having no way of getting fair team mates. You can run a bad killer half the match while nobody does anything and then leaves you to die on first hook. Killers only have to rely on themselves and they refuse to acknowledge what a huge advantage that gives them.

Just look at the people replying. You literally ALL have the same opinions on the game. Anything that suggests a killer is too good every single one of you are the first to jump in and say no. I see it all the time. This place is 100% killer biased, you can't dare say a bad thing about killers here. Take a step back and read you will realize.

For the record, yes some places like reddit are heavily survivor biased.

Furthermore I even acknowledge that yes, survivors in a 4 man SWF are the strongest thing in the game. But no one cares for that, they see "Freddy OP" in the title and IMMEDIATELY take the bait.

    Hook. Line. Sinker.

They defended Nurse for how long? And Spirit? (Who I mained and confirmed for myself was utterly brokely eaasy.) Killers will always make an excuse. I see far more survs willing to have a fair conversation about balance than I ever do from killers. And anyone that dares to say a killer needs a nerf is completely shut down.

I honestly think killer mains are just lonely bc they can only voice an opinion to an audience online. Us survivors get to vent to eachother all the time and don't need reddit to feel validated for crutching on bad mechanics like Spirit. Anyone that defends spirit or old nurse is 100 percent rotting in bias.

  • The community is constantly fighting over solutions for the game and their side of it. Why would they listen to us if we cant even agree on anything? The only thing we can agree on is more bug fixes and better optimization and less content.

  • @Justalittlepeeck said:

Yeah, it's the "if they don't know they are playing against cheaters, they wouldn't complain" mentality. Why fix the problem, when we can just pretend it doesn't exist, right? edit: I'm talking about comms of course. SWFs without comms are fine, but we all know that they don't exist, so it would be safe to assume swf=comms.

EDIT: People upvoting the comment below, why are you the way you are?

They literally do the same thing to survs. Cant see if you're playing spirit or freddy. Cant see if we are being forced to play with yellow ranks. This game in general forces you to put up with bs. It's not unique to killers lol.

Jokes on you, survivors can't be grabbed 90% of the time they're supposed to be anyway.

The other 10% is when they have decisive ready to go, of course. ;)

Yeah but if you are close enough to grab you're close enough to hit that surv twice bc they have to take one hit to avoid being grabbed in the first place.

  • @TATAHARAMBE said:

When you click on the exit gate to open it, even one second, a red light appears, but the 3 bars remain gray. That means you no longer can open the gate 20% without the killer noticing it (because the first bar of the gate doesn't transform in red). The killer will instantly know if you touch the exit gate and he looks in that direction.

Wow. That was pretty much the only way to get out when alone and the hatch was shut.

    Couple problems....:

    1) The person with DS can body block. Or do gens, and there is nothing a killer can do about it.

    2) There is no timer or clock to tell if DS is still up. Cannot tell you how many times I thought I was safe or watched someone who thought the same and sure enough it is still up. 60 seconds is way too long. In one game I was sure I was winning I had three people hooked at once. I had to eat three DS back to back to back because I couldn't remember which one did not have it. It hurts killers who are just really good.

    3) If there are multiple costumes it is very difficult to tell who may or may not have it.

DS from one person is not that big of an issue. Two or more rapidly becomes a huge deal. There are already half a dozen other anti-tunneling perks that you can use without crutching on DS.

    "Nothing" huh? You can slug.

  • Honestly cages are not the issue with PH. It's part of his kit, it's going to have downsides for survivors and there is still a downside for the killer considering it spawns the cage across the map from him and there's no aura for him to quickly tunnel it asap. His issue is him not having to commit to his power at pallets and vaults. That's where they need to look at him. They already nerfed his cages properly imo.

  • @Moxormog said:

    I'm done.

You keep nerfing and destroying killers each patch.

I'm so over doing a barely 1 minute chase in the beginning of the match to have two gens pop off because I don't have corruption or using ruin (When it doesnt get cleansed in the first 30 seconds).

You've literally ruined huntress. Every other game I am having hatchets that are not connecting when it clearly hits the survivor (with a blood splash)?????

The amount of idiotic sound bugs that makes it nearly impossible to track survivors or when gens are being worked on.

almost 2k hours as a killer but I can't handle the amount of abuse and disregard Behavior has towards its killer playerbase.

But, hey, at least you have your 2-3 killer main streams in a sea of ######### survivor streamers on Twitch.

Survivors, you keep wondering why your que times are so long?...

Do you really have to wonder??????

Oh look another killer main ignorant of the many survivor nerfs weve ad to adapt to. Lemmy guess, a camper who used Noed to get his kills? We wont miss you and queue times are just fine. BYE

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

Because alot of killers have a free pass to just tunnel through DS as it lasts 1 second, its extremely annoying how this kind of stuff keeps happening.

it being showcased multiple times in Hexy's Touney is a bit sad and embarrassing, imagine if in a Dota TI there was a bug that caused you to die when you used a TP Scroll.

To be fair killers are having a hook bug which is allowing a lot of wiggle offs. For once the bugs have kind of balanced eachother out lol.

The rip-cord engine revving noise would be fine if it was done a single time when a generator is being touched for the first time at 0% and again around 95~99% percent. It's when each generator makes repeated heeving lawnmower noises on a short loop while the survivor touches 2 wires together that it's like "Why are our headsets being attacked?"

This exactly. ^ I think the noise would be cool if it was right at the start and right before the gen was completed. Idk why it plays throughout the entire process. I literally switched to the cords thinking itd stop being so loud. Nope lol. .

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/discussion/comment/1624695#Comment_1624695

It was extremely quiet before. When you're engaging in a chase near the gen, you can't hear it at all.

I have survivors popping a gen just besides me when i'm chasing other survivors in that area, and i don't even know it's being worked on.

Sure if you play stealth killer, you can hear it. Otherwise, no. So it's actually needed.

But i wouldn't mind if they change it again to suit both sides

Use your eyes? I mean fine make the gens slightly louder. (even though good killers pay attention anyways.) But making it so loud that there's no effort on your part to know if survs are working a gen while you chase near it is just a braindead buff for killers. When I play killer I constantly look back to see if survivors are back on gens (bc they try to get away with it all the time.) I dont need a baby buff to make it effortless for me. Why would full time killer mains need to be babied?

  • @Dwinchester said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1620301#Comment_1620301

Ds, dh, unbreakable, bt all extend chases. Pop needs hooks, which are hard to get on a rush, ruin is craptastic because its unreliable, dying light is a joke that requires a ton of hooks. Surge is a decent option, but again, requires a down and has a ridiculous cooldown.

Literally the only counter to gen rush that killers ever had was old ruin, and we all know how that went. Everything else is about late game snowballing.

Unbreakable doesnt extend chase unless you're dumb enough to slug or tunnel. Dont like bt? Grab them off the hook or hit them down before and after they unhook. It's actually that simple.

  • @NekoGamerX said:

I seen this too I do feel killers should get some kind of ds for gens I seen survivors on gen all run but one I hit them they still on gen like I didn't hit them and gen pops then down them.

gen anyway go to fast after one chase 2 or 3 gens are done.

    It's called pop and noed.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/191609/controversial-if-survivors-tunnel-gens-is-it-fair-for-the-killer-to-tunnel-survivors

The only problem is that survivors have the tools to stop killers from tunneling, but killers cant do anything about the gen rush.

But yeah, I play as dirty as the survivors do. If I have to camp or tunnel to win, I most certainly will.

Yeah killers totally dont have slow down perks for gens, and perks, add ons and powers for kill rushing survivors. Ffs it's like killer mains dont even actually play the game.

Yes, I'd actually divide difficulty like this:

    Ultra Easy: SWF with mics

    Very Easy: SWF no mics

    Easy: Solo Survivor

Medium: S and A Tier Killers

Hard: B and C tier killers

Very Hard: D and E tier killers

Ultra Hard: D or lower tier killers in huge maps like cornfierlds

Lol spirit is ggez 50 games in a row. The fact you cant admit s tiers are easy once you learn how to play them shows your immediate bias.

Rotten Fields is just straight up boring though. Nothing at ALL in the middle besides shack, survivors always just cower in the corn then sneak to a gen, the map itself counters Blight, survivors probably just get bored doing nothing but hugging the sides, the killer doesn't wanna deal with the entire midsection being a complete vision wall, Rotten Fields is just plain annoying and boring for both sides besides Ranged Killers

"Cower in the corn" you mean they hide effectively from you and you didnt have any of the 1000 diff anti stealth perks/powers available to you?

I personally like rotten fields as killer and surv. They even made it easier for killers being smaller n all now.

  • @OniWantsUrLocation said:

According to the Q&A stream Devs are monitoring PH. Most likely PH will get "minor changes" (still getting nurse flashbacks)...

Let us remember what so many people have complained about.  I personally can only remember two specific things:

    1. Canceling Rites of Judgment (switching from M2 to M1) has a cooldown of 0.5 seconds. According to many people here this is much too low, because PH can simply fake his M2 without any punishment (0.5 seconds is not really noticeable). The legendary "get hit or get hit"-Situation was born.
    2. PH can negate a lot of perks because of his cages. Especially DS and BT users are NOT happy about that.

So what could they change to make people happy again? Increase the cooldown from 0.5 to 1 second? 1.5 second? 2 seconds? Yeah.. I don't know what they're planning, but a higher cooldown most likely means that he can no longer fake his ability. Since this is his TRUE STRENGTH, such a change would make him drop from tier A to tier C in no time (since I am not a friend of tiers this is only to illustrate that he would lose much of his viability).

So if the cooldown should be increased, then he should get something in return. I don't know what that could be, but just increasing the cooldown alone would kill PH. I don't even want to talk about the scond point. He has a unique ability and that is a good thing imo. But that alone doesn't make a good killer and I really hope that they don't mess him up.

What do you think about it? Will I soon be a sad PH main or will they find a good solution without ruining it completely?

You shouldn't get to fake your power, have the survivor mind game you and still get a hit anyways, hello? It's bad enough theres no way to tell if you're about to use your power or just making a trail. So I cant even learn when you like to mind game me or not. His cages are fine. The lose/lose situation at every pallet and vault is obviously stupid.

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1607103#Comment_1607103

You got that backwards huntress has large hitboxes because the devs dont know how to make them work without breaking them. Windows are latency . If the killer has good connection and the survivor does too dedicated hits wont happen.

Yes you are right the devs care more about killers right now. Its evident with our two recently reqorked maps. Badham having an absurd amount of breakable walls, short loops lack of loops. Shacks size was also decreased. Then you have yamaoka having just deadzones.

I love how they totally closed off the other two sides of the main badham building and I have yet to see a single killer break either wall lol. Maybe allow survivors to break walls if they are going to make walls the killers will never break?

  • @seki23 said:

because you cant easily loop him as you would loop a wraith. as simple as that, he actually has anti loop, and every killer who can deal with looping is unfun to go against.

Hes not anti loop he completely kills loops. You know, the only thing survivors have against killers? Learn to run tiles and run loops as killers instead of encouraging powers that totally break the mechanic.

  • Bc hes stupid? Even if you "mind game" a pallet or vault hell just m1 you instead of using his power. How stupid and braindead is that? If you cant run tiles as killer just hit through them all with PH!

  • There is no counterplay. I have 5k hours and I've played against many and used to main her while players still thot billy was better until I got bored of using her cheese. With the right perks she is pretty much unbeatable unless you, yes you, screw up. Has nothing to do with survivors.

You can try and mind game aka totally guess and hope she's dumb or doesnt hear footsteps very well. The thing with spirit is you can mess up a lot with very little penalty. And she's not hard to use. I relied solely on her phrasing. You don't need to run the tiles well at all. With strider and pop I rarely ever lost. The gen slow down was real. If the spirit knows to track the sound of footsteps you're going to lose. Like nurse, you're really only playing against yourself. Your best bet is playing against one that doesn't stack the best perks on her.

Killers thought nurse was balanced so they'll never admit spirit is broken either.

Alright lets.....this is not reality. I know theres 2 camps of survivors in this whole issue but I wanna just...inform you guys that, the neon green skin that you have.....I CAN LITERALLY SEE YOU FROM A FULL MAP AWAY!

I know you guys think, "well I can be in stealth mode even with this neon" but dude, the first thing a killer thinks of when we see a neon outfit is "oh....this person wants the attention" usually they wanna show off some fancy moves and juke the killer etc <----IE the bait of the team.

So while you may think "oh look he didn't see me at all!! ahahaha" <-----nope, some killers will actually dodge you if they see a bright neon in their game just to avoid a god pallet or people who abuse infinites. The psychology is, I can always go back and find you after I've killed the weaker links on the team instead of the bright flashy guy. And usually it works.

Yup. Gotta love killers taking advantage of garbage matchmaking by tunneling the little guys. Ggez killers.

  • K but us high rank survivors who do know the game very well dont want to be grouped with survivors that still play blendette as survivor bc they dont know how to juke without urban. The hate comes from the fact that high level survivors are still forced to play with bad survivors who rely on claudette out of desperation for stealthy self caring.

It's so infuriating seeing a crouched player when the killer is obviously across the map. That kind of newbie should NEVER be anywhere near my lobby. But it is nearly every game I have to deal with one of these players. It only takes one bad team mate to screw everyone else. It's not fun and gives killers so many free wins bc of it.

  • @Pipefish said:

A second chance perk that literally triggers every forty seconds. Who thought this was a good idea. My suggestion is to have it give you the broken status like no mither. What you all think ?

Why are survivors not allowed "sec chance" perks but it's okay for killers to take down two health states with insta down add ons, powers and perks?

  • Huuuh. Myers is like the weakest killer in the game. Like a ggez ghost face. I see him the least out of all other killers. I never ever see a Myers past rank 13 and there's a reason for that. Hes literally the one killer I'd love to see buffed lol.

Just loop him. Hes super loopable. Has no map pressure. Avoid him when he attempts to snowball during his power. Like Ghost Face, you can often just loop until his power is done. You can usually tell when hes got it ready. Hes only really good with stealth on indoor maps. Use closets when you think he has a tombstone.

  • I mean I dont really want to trash them. I just dont want to play with them either. PC and console players should be kept separate. Every console killer I've faced was easier than a typical f13 killer. Clearly this is an issue.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1540024#Comment_1540024

Lmfao okay. So since you wanna insult skills let me break it down for you. (:

Life of a console killer main. We deal with bad frame rates. And constant harrassment. Yes i can 4k on certain killers. But not on certain maps. Like lerys and saloon. Framerates are choppy af. Not to mention devs are legit silent about fps on console. You play on pc so already its inherently easier for you.

Next point. The math. If you go by tourny rules (which i do) 2k is a draw. 3k+ is a win. 12 hooks give or take for a w. 80 seconds per gen vanilla style. 5 gens for win. You would have to get 2 hooks per gen done to come out on top give or take. That leaves about.. 40 seconds x 2 to find and hook a surv. Per gen vanilla gen. While the argument of pressure gens are there. You literally can not be 2+ places at once, so either way you gotta give up gens for chases. Which leads to a 3 gen scenario. If you have 2 survs alive in a 3 gen scenario you can win...unless survivors are lucky and find a key in chest. 3 survs up, and chances are killer would lose purely cause they have to commit to a chase. Point of this point is odds are against the killer.

Point 3, And more straight forward: too many variables. We have to play "nice" if we want to pip. Also play pretty badly. Because if we put too much pressure, we can get screwed. What i mean is the 60 second immunity window called ds. "Yea dont tunnel" but if a surv unhooks unsafely infront youre supposed to ignore them on a game who forces killers to capitilize on survivors mistakes. But yea thats a perk, and an example. Im sure you can think of more examples.

Point 3.5. Adept system. Nuff said.

Do you want more points? Or are you willing to understand we play two different versions of the same game? Btw. Im a red rank killer. (Rankings mean squat)

What are you going on about? And what makes you think I want to read all that? Something about boo hoo console killers? I dont like playing against you console killers bc of the clear disadvantage. Was literally complaining about it bc of how every one of you have been trashed in our games. I didnt ask for this.

Crossplay should be between console players period.

How is that nonsense? You could just grab a medkit or get a teammate to heal you.

I’ve died too many times on hook because a teammate is using SC. It’s not a bad perk when you’re in a tight spot but otherwise, I really dislike how much time it takes.

Self carers are too scared to play injured. They dont understand every second counts. So many good perks that work really well while injured too. In 5k hours i never kept it in my build. Rarely have survivors not heal me when I ask so that excuse is bs. But believe me plenty of pc players use sc too. This is an issue that goes far beyond console and pc lol. Potatoes gunna potato.

bottom line Im just saying if you dont like it or its a problem we have multiple solutions available for you to use at any time

So we can wait twice as long to play? Our swf got dodged several times too. Odd that was never an issue before. Guess we'll continue getting baby console killers until they fix this mess. I assume most PC killers will keep crossplay on so they can bully console survivors too bc "killers too weak anyways."

I have 5000 hours and have played against less than 15 cheaters, this whole cheater narrative the console players on the forums have begun concocting is ridiculous.

I also have 5k hours. Rarely EVER see cheaters anymore.

  • @Gay Myers (Luzi) said:

You don't have to play against people from other platforms. You can opt-out of the crossplay feature if you go into settings and disable or enable cross-play platform play. This will match you up only with players from your platform, but that could in return increase your lobby time.

It's not exactly the answer you asked for, but that way you can remain on your platform specifically.

Yeah. My swf opted out and it took twice as long to find a lobby and we were getting dodged way more than usual. Takes longer soloing but more tolerable. Just switching crossplay off really isnt the answer. As soon as we went back to crossplay we started getting baby console players and utterly destroying them. Is that what yall console players want?

Remove crossplay between console and pc. It's awful and clearly wasnt meant to be. Most pc killers will surely choose crossplay for the sheer fact they can play baby console survivors which means even more dodging.

Well, like I said, if SWFs aren't such an issue, it wouldn't hurt to let everybody know they are going against SWF.

And if everybody is going to dodge SWF, then SWF is an issue that needs to be addressed.

You're naive if you think things that aren't an issue would be dodged. You think spirit, or legion or clown isnt an issue to anyone? You want to expose swf in the lobby you might as well show who the killer is too. Oni or Nurse aren't an issue right? Right? Surely nobody would dodge any of your killers! Just let us see then! And if we dodge, they must be an issue!

Sorry but your logic doesnt work.

Which is the point i was making, you can run any survivor without a penalty you can't do that with killer. Every survivor is just the same the only differences they have are their appearance. Stats would be an interesting concept for survivors to have if you really think about it, it makes no sense how survivors all run at the same speed, or how we can run across a map like coldwin farm or rotten fields without being exhausted

Okay and? Survivors do get nerfed all the time. You think this game really needs more variables to consider when making balance changes by giving survivors unique skills and weaknesses? Survivors are just skins and we like it like that. People need to stop trying to make killer and survivor the exact same thing. It doesn't work like that. You really want survivors to have abilities on top of 4 perks like killer? Sometimes I think ppl just have no idea how 4v1 works.

Assuming you're talking about a survivor tapping a gen mid chase and continuing to run, I'd say you probably knew that survivor was there and it was a waste of time to kick that gen in the first place.

^^^ dont kick a gen unless they aren't there o.o
