Since they introduced the Rift and Rift Pass, they were always open about Cosmetics in it returning to the Store after at least 6 months. So players should have always known that this will happen.
Furthermore, if you got the Cosmetics via the Rift Pass, you
a) got them earlier and had them exclusive for at least 6 months and
b) got them WAY cheaper than others who buy them
So I dont really see anything to complain about here.
Pretty much all said.
While I do understand, that it's very weird that some skins remain exclusive (Nea and Spirit had some from what I know), skins do reappear for people that missed out on them.
Fomo is bad in any sense of the way.
@PortaI_2 said:
So buying the Rift Pass is for outfit exclusivity for only a few months, but if you missed an outfit or charm because you didn't type in a weird code within a 2 day time period that is an exclusive outfit forever?
I don't really mind if ALL skins and outfits come to the store but to have code skins exclusive but rift skins come in the store is really weird. I can't think of one other game that places rift skins back into the store. Like all that grinding 2 years ago was for nothing.
Cool I'm not buying your rift anymore if there is no exclusivity.
If you want exclusivity so bad, the deep rift skins have not appeared again so there you go.

They are not all new, but I can definitely recommend them:
- Elden Ring (DLC dropps soon so its really fun to get into the mood / the game is just a blast tbh)
- Dead Space remake (played it recently without having any former experience with the franchise and was blown away by the quality and gameplay)
- Resident Evil 2,3,4 remake (am currently playing the remake of the 4th title and its been great so far. I personally liked the 3rd one the most (despite it being the shortest and seemingly most disliked out of the 3))
- Octopath Traveler 2 (one of my all time favourite games ever. Insanely high quality when it comes to soundtrack, focus on detail and gameplay. You have to like JRPGs though and the HD2D - art style)
- Paper Mario and the thousand year door (if you want a funny story and have a switch to play it, the remake of this classic is a lot of fun)
- Bioshock games are always a blast for me (2nd has the best gameplay IMO, first has the best story)
These are just some of the games I really enjoy. Depends oon what you like to play in general.
-
Pig. Enough said.
-
Depends. There are a few killers, that have noo map moobility but their strenghts in other categories make them still end up in A tier.
Examples are Pyramid Head and Plague.
Pyramid Head has incredibly strong tunneling pootential, good anti looop and safes a lot of time using the cages. Plague on the other hand can keep survivors injured the entire match and has one of the best chasing poowers when active. Unhooking in her face is also nearly impossible if she roams the area around the hook.
Mobility is makes a huge difference but isnt everything. Being extremely oppressive in other areas can also make a killer very strong.

I don't say is not possible but it's hard if the survivor is hooked other side of the map. You need killer to make mistakes too and need to be swf. Solos in this situation just leave maybe one goes to make trade and killer gets then both... In the end saving in endgame benefit killer quite often too.
My roughly estimate is 70% time killer does find hatch consistently before survivor. Killer moves 115% speed and many can teleport with power for example which gives better chance. That's about how often I find it before survivor and sometimes I find the survivor searching hatch and down them.
Well adept is different situation but it's rare reason to slug for 4K. I haven't seen in while anyone even adepting but most of the slugging happen because killer feel they need 4K. Even the chance is very good still get 4K if they don't.
Again, I have to stress, that saving in endgame is absolutely possible. Getting a 4man out is sometimes very possible despite the killer not making mistakes. Depends heavily on the killer and their power though. Swf definitely have the better chances of achieveing this, but its not uncommon for soloq to pull this off as well. Perks like borrowed time serve wonders to do this.
So you want to tell me, that you track how often you find hatch before the survivor does? Thats honestly impressive. The movement speed difference does not make it more likely for the killer to fin the hatch. As I said before, the spawn of the hatch is completely random. If both survivor and killer would go from the same position, the exat same way, then yes. The killer would find ti faster due to the movement speed. However, this is not how it goes. Both survivor and killer start their search from very different situations. The hatch might spawn clooser to the survivor, making their way a lot shorter than the one the killer has to take. This would make their movement speed difference irrelevant.
Exceptions to this are killers like Blight or Billy, who can traverse every corner of most maps in seconds. But even for these killers, it is still up to rng, because the hatch could, as mentioned before, still spawn at the survivors feet, making their movement speed powers irrelevant.
Its rather funny though, that if the killer finds the survivor that is loooking for the hatch and starts to chase them, its actually more likely for the survivor to reach the hatch first because the survivor is the leading role in chase, therefore reaches certain spots earlier.
The 4k is the best possible outcome for the killer. Nobody can blame the killer for wanting to achieve that. Its unfortunate, that the most consistent way for the killer to get this outcome is rather boring for the survivor side. For the record, I almost never slug for the 4k. I personally do not care for 4k at all. But I can understand people that do.
It ultimately comes down to the game and the devs to create a better end game scenario, that is more interesting for both parties. I have been against the randomness of the hatch for a long time and am definitely of the opinion, that this system needs a major overhaul.

There is way to kill final survivor without slugging finding hatch first or the survivor that lot more entertaining for both sides. In my experience killer has about +70% chance to find hatch first that's pretty good percentage should it be 100%? Is killer entitled to 4K always?
Slugging wastes time and usually end other survivor bleeding out and killer still find the hatch most of the time and get the 4K anyway. So again there is mess boring way for killer to get last chase and 4K it's just not quaranteed. Neither is save in endgame killer is pretty much quaranteed 1K.
Sometimes that altruistic gives chance for even more it can turn thr game 3-4K for killer would think that is not bad thing. It's different situation survivor and killer role is not equal other is team and other is alone. I suppose only specific scenarios like survivor being hooked other side of map/basement where saving is not possible or when bubba is camping and survivors keep doing trades desperately trying get everyone out can be considered somewhat equilavent of slugging.
Cause outcome will be same most of the time killer still get 1K survivors just waste time but slugging is still worse of these two evil because at least with trades everyone gets bp and killer even chance for more kills. Rarely do survivors achieve 4 escapes in those scenarios. Most of the time survivors just leave they know there is no chance. But if survivor is hooked at exit that just would be cruel to leave them not even try saving them.
No. Disagree. It is definitely possible for survivors to get all 4 out against a variety of killers that camp if done correctly. There are situations, Bubba for example, where it is not possible but against a ton of others you can the 4man out.
I dont know how you gopt to your 70% when it is literally completely random where the hatch spawns if no offering is in play. It could spawn at the survivors- or the killers feet or across the map. No consistency whatsoever.
You also forgot one important aspect that relates to this. Consistency. If the killer wants a consistent chance at getting the 4k, like for their adept as an example, they do not want to leave their chance up to luck. They want the most consistent chance of success. Sadly this means slugging for the 4k.
I never siad, that the killer is entitled to 4k or the survivor being entitled to escape.

all they care about is winning 100% of their games. That why you see awful takes such as gates regressing
"They"...
Nice tribalism.
Both sides want to win. Both sides want the best possible outcome.
As @Huge_Bush already mentioned: if the killer camps the last survivor in end game, the gates are open and all survivors are still alive, why do they try to safe the fourth almost every time?
3 escapes is a win for the survivor team and a loss for the killer.
The only difference between both scenarios is, that if the killer tries to secure a 4k, the survivor input is pretty unfun whereas the situation of the survivors trying to get the 4man out is usually less boring.
This means, that it ultimately comes down to one side feeling entitled to not be slugged. If the hunt for the final survivor would be more interesting and less stale, I don't think there would be so many complains.

So let me get this straight...
You suppose to eliminate a higher level play of a killer that is already struggling?

No, no and no. It's not the many things in the game the encourage survivors to throw the game, it's not the things in the game endorse throwing from survivors and it's most definitely not games where one survivor is just messing around for fun. Killers just broken.
Imagine if everyone played mostly to win? Surely that wouldn't severely raise the win rate?
Anyway, yeah it's first of all survivors not playing to win and then killers having access to very obnoxious things. Point one means way more.

The "play" would have been to just dont write something in EGC. In the end, the Survivors just used a combo. (Not that I like FTP + Buckle Up, but it is what it is)
But the Combo will already be nerfed in the next Patch. Then Buckle Up does not give Endurance anymore, but will provide a Speedboost for the Survivor who has been healed from the ground. So while Feng would probably still be out in this situation, Lisa would have been dead instead. The combo will be purely altruistic after the next Patch.
That's good in my book. Guaranteeing the escape of a teammate that has gone down should come at some for of risk.
Also... The combo will ALREADY be nerfed next patch? As far as I know, that has been in the game for a pretty long time now. It's time for it to go.

Well, they should. The main issue survivors have to deal with is tunneling, and with the lack of options we have to combat tunneling, we are ultimately screwed either way. I think disabling the power is fair.
A 4 second stun will get you no value, 10 seconds is more reasonable since it gives you a high chance if getting away, tunneling should not be buffed.
Idea is fine with one addition. The survivor cannot bodyblock with ds.
When ds is active, and the killer chases the survivor and a survivor that has ds active, the survivor with ds active looses collision with the killer until they are no longer chased or do a conspicuous action.

I suspect this to be a conundrum of sorts within DBD. I talked to @Nun_So_Vile a couple days back venting about high MMR and getting utterly overwhelmed by it when not even trying to play like that (no gen regress perks, scream build, or top add ons , or sweaty playstyle) and when we group up we get the hardcore ruthless killers that will tunnel or camp at 4 gens.
One side feels that they need to rush gens and use the best builds and don’t trust friendly killers because they fear the possibility of being hooked and camped or tunneled out because of so many games of the same issues occurring for them, while the other side feels the need to secure a kill asap before all gens are done, even if they’re evidently not flying back to back.Everyone has been susceptible the extremities of DBD, but line of understanding the roles have been blurred intentionally. Meaning, where some come on to have fun, others are downright there to make your experience as miserable and mundane as they possibly can; inside and outside the game. I had a Kate main message me awhile ago about being surprised that I wasn’t a camping Pig and I told her not all of us are here to induce stress upon ourselves and others and that some of us just want to chill and have a fun game.
Solo is chaotic, high mmr forces you to play a certain way or use certain perks to win, etc etc UNLESS you go in to just try and have fun and not have high expectations of a game where it isn’t sweaty.
Here’s to the fun times. 🍻 🐷
Great points!
I mostly try to play in a way that I would also like to play against.
It's great for that reason, that Piggy gets rewarded for spreading hookstages and downing different survivors with slowdown on all of them.
This makes me unintentionally tunnel a lot less than I might do otherwise (these situations, where you just chase what is in front of you, but that one has just got off hook).
Survivor truly is that way sometimes. Especially in solo one fears that, if you give some killers a small advantage, everything crumbles. Therefore many just play extremely safe, which also results in rather boring matches with fewer interaction.
I think this comes down to the fact that awful matches tend be remembered a lot more than good ones. One bad match and many people will try to avoid having a similar experience at all costs.
What many don't realize however, is that loosing or winning does often not make the match fun.
You can win but have no fun at all and loose while having an absolute blast.
Maybe that's also why so many Pigs refuse to BOOP.

Arigatou Gozeimasu!
While it hasn't helped with managing my DBD obsession/life balance… I do want to take a moment to say thanks for being so welcoming to I… especially given my relatively short time with the game… a lot of communities tend to dismiss low hour players.
I don't exaggerate when I say learned a lot reading about Pig through all your posts over the first half of the year (including you guys @AbsolutGrndZer0 @Vanishlord and others here) . It was just odd talking points here and there, but I got inspired with a lot of little tid bits to try many things off it and realised just how much freedom Amanda has with perks just by virtue of the fact she isn't dependent on slowdown to keep the game going like other killers. I considered dropping a line here to this group pretty early on, but who wants to be the awkward noob knocking on the door right? 😁
Then of course we had the near destruction of our head traps, which forced our collective hands… all notions of shyness just died immediately… like a glorious call to arms 😅
I am still, and believe we should all, be very proud of that collaborative effort. The message was constructive, clear and fair… but also strong and unwavering as well. I consider it one the healthiest discussions I've seen in the forums, where even people who disagreed still respected the points being raised. While I don't hold an illusion it was our voices alone that swayed the change, I definitely think we presented a very strong argument that made that decision much easier for BHVR ^^
With that, I just want to say, may all your slow release toxins be pure, your head trap timers never falter, and your snoots forever firm in our never ending quest for boops. 👉️🐽

I think it has been both, honestly. Granted, I am pretty chill most of the time and maybe what most people consider "sweaty" is just not a big deal to me, but I've seen a lot more attempts at boops and even when playing with friends as survivor (I don't do solo survivor anymore) I've found most games go pretty well. But, again, I am usually pretty chill myself. Could also be an MMR thing, I know I am not super top god tier MMR where everyone has to sweat their butts off to keep themselves among those elite few.
I mostly play soloq survivor and it sadly has been a horrible experience foor me and Jill. Had to quit the game yesterday because it started to only be frustrating and thats not what a game is supposed to be.
Cant say, that the normal queue is much better though.

Something like this would allow me to play my main without depleting his inventory while I level up other characters.

I WAS SUMMONED!!!
As someone that has played and mained Sadako since she came out and that has mained Pig for over 2000 hours, I have a pretty good understanding of both killers and their strenght levels.
Both are extremely similar. I would put them both right next to each other in upper c tier.
Both have a high strategical skill ceiling with Sadako being more lethal and Pig being more focussed on slowdown.
Pig is a lot simpler to get into but at their best, Sadako is a bit better. I main both foor the same reason. They offer unique gameplay that no other killer provides.
In the end this comes doown to what the player prefers. A more lethal secondary power or a more slowdown oriented secondary power. Pig has better chase while Sadako has very good map mobility.
Im open for any questions.

I think it would be fine if the survivor wasnt able to run into the killers model to plant the flashbang in their butt.

Its absolutely sweatier. This is due to offerings, items and addons not being randomized. As killer you get optimized survivor groups when you have no slowdown whatsoever and as survivoor you get killers with very strong addons that tunnel and camp because you have no perks to defend yourself.
The mode really shows how dependent the game is on these perks.
Sadly…

I lost one match with her on it and in that one i played perkless against a 3 bnp, one syringe - 4man comp squad. Even that game was very close.
I asked the devs many times to change this map not only because its unfun to play but because it increases her normally ok strenght to A+ level.

I got 1 hook and was one hit short of getting my daily. Obviously not a good run.
EGC happens and I told them they were a solid group. I then get 4 sore winners that told me I committed to one person for too long(yes, but at a certain point you have to commit), and how they were all solo and how I need to get good as an Onryo main(I’m not and only played her for a daily. I might have 2-3 hours into playing this killer since her release). Well… one person forgot they had their twitch name in their bio… and what did I see… the same 4 people squaded up… and when they got into a game they were doing comp call outs.
So now I have to ask… why are we gaslighting? What’s the sense in this?
Sore winners are awful. There is no excusing that.
However, you had the best killer too tackle these guys.

yeah thats why despite my loving the perk i dont wanna give it to much of a buff, since the people who dont know how to get rid of it get hurt by it the most, its fun on oni for me because it lets me have info easier to dash across the map at, but generally its either destroyed before getting to three tokens or its never touched and they survs get stuck at 2 gens
Its generally a fun perk. I run it, whenever I have an open perk slot. I know its useless, but thats why I love it so much.

Did I say multiple things should be a problem??? Noo I said if they want to balance and nerf things why don’t they touch skull merchant not just chucky for example they nerfed sadako and buffed billy like how is that balanced?? If you want to nerf something nerf everything so it can be equally balanced and Chucky is not the real problem in dbd as far as being one of the most least pick rate out of any other killers
In terms of Sadako, you are talking to the wrong person. Billy got buffed, because he was in desperate need for it. He was undeniably in a horrible state.
Sadako was also in a horrible state. As the one on the forums, that advoocated for a revertion to her original state or something similar, i can only say that this change was extremely healthy for her. Sadako 2.0 was extremely simple to play and waaay too hard to play against. OG Sadako had a strategic skill component, that got thrown out the window with her second alteration. The changes for both of them where justified. The excecution of the changes is a different topic. PTB Sadako 3.0 was completely fine in my opinion. Billy´s addons where / can be a bit too much.
Skull merchant has been looked at. Multiple times. Shes by far not as problematic as she was (the IMO most unhealthy thing this game has ever dropped on the floor).
Chucky´s change is the first big change to this killer and also justified one. Scamper into hit made this killer, despite the skill expressive part and nature of his kit, extremely boring and predictable. Drop pallet, get hit and then repeat. With these changes, the skill expressive part is put more in focus, which is how it should be. However, I personally think, that now that the cheap hits are gone, they should revert the turn angle limitation that was implemented some months ago.
