Let me know how you go. The Support person I've managed to get really doesn't seem to want to give me the banner lol
That doesnt give me much hope…

as to the newsletter, I think you can contact support if you were subscribed and didn’t get it

For the Beholder charm I guess you would need to purchase at least one full D&D outfit from the store(??).
The others may also be tied to specific outfits or will be distributed through other collaborations(?)
Thank you very much friend! Ill try to contact them. I want that banner 🔥🐽🔥

is it? honestly i haven't played the game since the release so don't know much. it does seem to be in good place, hopefully they don't make it useless.
Its a mindgame power. Survivors that mindlessly play around pallets get heavily punished, while making good reads is hevaily rewarded (except enduring).
Seems good to me.

yup, playing for stun is the counterplay if you have no distance and spell still going off after a stun removes any potential counterplay, except praying to get that 7% haste magic item.
Then why is the mage hand presumably getting nerfed outside of the enduring "tech"?

I'm not sure how but there's a way to skip his pallet break animation with rush and transition immediately into his syringe recovery, letting him act out of a pallet break much faster.
https://youtu.be/N8loM3bMH2A?si=ypuPIXXhD9PmUWqX
Here's a video I found with it.
It so funny, that regardless of what Blight player I see, they always have iri tag, alc ring or compound 33. Not much has changed XD

Wow. Why does it not suprise me that Blight players find this the fastest?
Jokes aside, this has to be fixed asap.

The small nerf it is getting surely won't be a big deal though, Mage Hand will still be good. I think it's good that they are nerfing Mage Hand just a bit beyond the Enduring interaction.
They do? Mage hand is in a perfect spot right now. I dont know why this is happening.

That's why with our current roster of aura reading perks like BBQ and Friend's til the end, killers aren't still proxy camping and running immediately back to hook right? "Okayish" = 1/8th coverage of most map with 4 items on the ground.
Noo. Currently people stack slowdown perks and dont know where to find people. Therefore they proxi camp and tunnel. Its the same reason why distrotion is not a healthy perk. The killer can only go for people that they know their location of. They definitely know where two people have to be when they camp.
Aura incentivizes killers to go somoewhere else. Thats good.
They also drop two of their four perks to do this so half of their loadout is already no slowdown.
If you dislike the aura reading that much, you can also pick up your item. Oblivious is not that strong withh the exception of some killers like Bubba. As far as I know, there should be an indicator on the bottom, notifying you that your aura is being read.
On top of this, you can use object of obsession to always see the killer in return.
Its really not as good as you tell us. Its not bad, but by far not worth of nerfing either of the perks.
-
Im wasting two of my perks for okayisch aura reading that only works if people dont have distortion, OTR or dont use an item.
I have too say, this is a bit hilarious. What do you want killers to use? Info is literally game health. Give killers something else to be and to chase rather than the survivor fresh off the hook. Aura perks enable this.
If you want more slowdown instead, have fun with it. Im fine with aura over slowdown.
-
I didnt get my email either. Was really excited for the banner. Im honestly disappointed.
-
The enduring stuff should absolutely go. Otherwise, no further nerfs are needed.

The time spent developing unnecessary changes to other killers could be going towards killers who have been in desperate need of it for years such as Freddy. Some of their decisions have no logic behind them such as back in January I didn't play the PTB and watched gameplay and was satasfied and I remember talking to @radiantHero23 who agreed with me and all the feedback was positve and they decided to scrap it for the live version. I was looking forward to actually having fun playing her. There was no logic behind this decison. Even the survivors were happy.
Sadako on PTB was completely fine. She was strong with enough coounterplay. I genuinely dont know why they felt the need to nerf her. Its so hilarious how detached they where with the cooldown, that they had to revert it the very next bug fix.
Funnily enough, she ok right now. Base level, her power is better than OG and more skill based than 2.0.
Sadly her addons are now complete dog water. Ive got ring drawing and bloody fingernails autolocked.

No because with that there's counterplay. You can see the aura of the gen and fix it to remove the undetectable and you know the general area of the killer so you have some level of counterplay. With Unforseen they just have undetectable and there's nothing you can really do about it except hope the killers not one of the many that have a broken combo with it.
Since when is undetectable broken?
Did I miss something?

because big majority of the killer perks have no effectiveness. gen speed is still ultra oppressive.
I do think that a lot of killer perks can offer a ton of value. At least in public lobbies, where a majority of survivor teams are not as coordinated.
Many people just stick to what they deem to be the only solution and become blind to other options.
I just tried this build and has a ton of success:
-bloodwarden
-Alien instinct
-Franklin's demise
-weaving attunement
Really good info in item heavy lobbies and very good on killers with movement abilities like Singularity and Vecna.
-
How would you nerf it?
Make it longer? Make survivors have to do gens together? Add more gens?
It's genuinely a hard problem to fix because it involves changing the objective of one role.
You can't just nerf toolboxes and Gen perks and expect gens to not fly. Gens go fast if survivors spread and do gens separately.

I don't think i've had any exit gate escapes on that map and i've played it probably 20+ times as killer. Multiple killers as well not just one. It's super easy for people to just 3-gen themselves there.
True. On top, there is a pretty deadly 3gen around the shack. Just let them finish the dungeon ones and protect the ones outside. I dont get how this 3gen went live.

unfortunately how survivors play round pallets won't really matter once they realize that there are boots that speed them up if mage hand is used. Most games are easy right now because players don't know how to deal with him yet and dont know what items are gamechangers
It's unfortunate but the best strategy against good squads ive found has been to tunnel any player without boots from the get-go because they can't have the mage hand boots and just trying to get downs with flight of the dammed, fly and orb is a futile task but you can still easily win a 3v1 against survivors decked out with good gear but dragging out a game with slowdown while splitting pressure against good suvs ends up with them getting the best items then drawing out later game chases because you essentially need to win chases with just flight of the dammed, fly and orb.
He is just below doctor imo but above the truly bottom-tier killers definitely in the bottom 10 killers in power.
That I heavily disagree on but you are very much entitled to your opinion.
Agree to disagree.

In case that you run into these people, I have a fun build for you:
- bloodwarden
- franklins demise
- weaving attunement
- alien instinct
Make them suffer for their toolboxes.

Vecna is very weak and its mostly to do with the fact that he is not strong enough to justify the dnd item boxes.
When all the survivors have the haste boots he crumbles and 1 suv with the fly aura boots or orb aura boots will be calling out his location to partied players.
He would be a strong killer but the items cripple him its just right now i don't think people know how to deal with him yet and are not burning through chests to get the best items fast enough.
I havent had a bad match yet. Especially mage hand feels very strong. Survivors that play mindlessly around pallets (of which there are a lot sadly) are getting hard punished by this spell.
I dont deep him to be bad in any way. Lower A tier to top B tier.

Kinda but to call Vecna a movement-based killer with a high skill ceiling would be a stretch. It does not open up loads of possibilities in the same way Weaker Bounds or Blight Rushes do which is what I want in newer killers new ways to play dbd core gameplay loop.
I didn't say he is movement based. He has a movement spell as part of his power.
Vecna does have a high skill ceiling though. Mage hand - mindgames, fly vaulting and bodyblocking, negating magic items by clever use of the orb, reading what items the survivor could have based on the hud and zoning / using elevation with flight of the damned to get hits is a lot to learn and master.
This is a very complex killer.

I don't know, I think 30 second each would be Allright, maybe even less on the other two spells... The sphere could have 15 seconds and there would not really be an issue with that.
I don't know about Flight of the Damned, on one side it is easily dodged by crouching on the other hand it would be annoying if it was too spam able...
I think the clever usage of the spells, regardless of which one should be prioritized over spamming.
That's why I deem the cooldowns to be rather fair right now. A survivor only has to deal with one spell once per chase. There should be an achievement when one outplays a spell.
It would be pretty awful to outplay mage hand with a clever mindgame just for Vecna to have it up again at the very next loop.
I know that 30sec is not that fast but I think I would need to see it in action.

Hopefully, they will come to their senses and see what people love about these killers that defines them are their unique abilities. I myself don't want the licensed characters I play to get these things taken away and they become fairly 1-dimensional.
That's why i fought for Sadako and we all for Piggies traps.
Chucky seems to just be the "charges at you every 18 seconds" - killer.
That's not very original.

I would still compare fly rather to Wraith, you can use it similarly to him to bodyblock windows or pallets, but more often then not you will get a hit out of the power usage. Unlike the before mentioned killers.
My point was to compare his flight to the before mentioned killers the cooldown would need to be lower to be available more often and usable more regularly and it would need to be able to get a hit out of it just like those abilities are capable of, because that is what makes them out.
Then they would need to adjust the cooldowns separately.
I find the cooldowns on mage hand and flight of the damned to be fair.

Having to juggle between 4 weak powers per chase just to get a down is straight up weak killer design, especially when these 4 weak powers are subject to one of the longest cooldowns in the game. And this is the exact reason why he will disappear from the game in a few months, like Singularity.
I'm having no problems and will continue to play him. He's super fun to me.
I'm sorry, that your experience has not been as pleasant.

Maybe a banner or badge as well?
But that might again lean too much into fomo again.
The less we have of that, the better.
-
I used it mostly for zoning. You have an ability that tells the survivor to crouch mid chase. That's a power as well.
Other uses I have yet to discover.
@zarr said:
Multiple things.
First, FOTD is more so a zoning tool in chases. Survivors cannot crouch during chase interactions (pallet pulls and pallet and window vaults), so the ability can be used to prevent them from vaulting, then getting an M1 hit. Depending on the positioning and timing of it it will also happen that the survivor simply doesn't see them coming or is already queued into the vault when they launch and will get hit.
Then there is a way to instantly hit a survivor the moment you spawn the skeletons, basically before they even launch. That requires being close to the survivor and placing it well.
If survivors are on an elevation or you are below their level, they won't be able to crouch the skellies.
Also of note: Any interaction during which survivors cannot crouch can net you a free hit, or at least an interruption of the interaction. This is really strong at a hook, where they can't even let go and crouch quickly enough, so it's essentially a guaranteed down on the unhooker even from afar.
That is very insightful! Thanks a lot!
-
It's the combination that does it.
After my personal experience of 13 matches, I would put him in lower A - top of B tier.
Strong with enough counterplay.
He's far from weak. A killer with who I can consistently win with a lot of hooks and no slowdown perks against switched on survivors is not weak in my book.
-

On a 38 second cooldown xD How often will you use it in a normal match? Maybe around 10 times? And unlike the other killers mentioned before you cannot just reposition if you went to the wrong area... I don't think he is comparable to them under that aspect.
Of course it is much weaker, but it is still there.
If it where at the same level, the other 3 powers would be overkill by a long shot.
Same can be said for mage hand and flight of the damned.

I don't think he needs any nerfs except the enduring stuff.

It doesn't have to be one way or the other personally I want more high-skill ceiling movement-based killers like wesker, billy, blight and oni.
But Vecna has something like that with fly being a chase tool to bodyblock pallets and vaults.
-
@ad19970 said:
Mage Hand is definitely quite the dangerous ability. If you think Vecna will use Mage Hand, don't drop the pallet. That's the tip I can give you.
But I would argue that Vecna is one of the fair anti-loop killers that actually has counterplay. You do know you can crouch under his Flight of the Damned spell right?
Very well said.
Mage hand is the strongest chase ability he has.
However, it is partially countered by one of the magical items from the chests and heavily punishes thoughtless gameplay.
Survivors can't just drop pallets mindlessly against Vecna. He will punish that kind of gameplay. Pallet play against mage hand is full of Mindgames and thinking, which I'm personally a really big fan of.
Flight of the damned is countered by crouching, positioning and any form of elevation if the iridescent addon is not in play.
Fly is there to catch up, block windows and map traversal.
He can be oppressive in chase but also has long cooldowns after every usage of his spells.
If he used any of them, you don't need to worry about it for at least 38 seconds.
He is pretty demanding to play at higher levels and has one of the most complicated powers in the game. Both to learn how to play and play against.
All the items and spells are a lot to take into.
You wanna know what you can do as a survivor against Vecna?
You can teleport mid chase to the opposite side of the map, turn invisible, see his skeletons when casted, see the orb when casted, see Vecna flying and get haste.
He's been out for almost 24 hours. We should all give it some time.

This is so ridiculous, I can't even laugh about it.
Vecna is surprisingly in a very decent spot right now. They actually got the balancing relatively on point (except the enduring stuff that is going to be patched)
Survivor gets away with a lot of you don't do it right.
Survivor movement speed or killer movement speed should not be touched, period. Just look at what 3% did to the community.
-
Agree.
It felt very monotonous getting it every match.
I wanted to try Vecna on a variety of maps and got only 3 others in 12 matches.

The map is fun to play and all but seeing it literally every game dampers the excitement a lot.

I play mostly in the evening and night hours.
Also. The most sweaty people in my region are mostly there in the morning hours which I tend to visit if I want a real challenge. (If I have the time)
Sadako is more hit and run and condemn. If you just chase people, she will feel very weak.
