If i know I'm being streamed by big/famous streamers, i dodge immediately because then i do get performance anxiety. But most of the times i alt tab until the game starts, so i find out during the game (and in that case, my "skill lvl" immediately drops to 0) or in endgame lobby
I got matched with/against otzdarva, ayrun and trapper multiple times, and only once i realized it in time (i saw otzdarva as team mate) and immediately left. I wonder if i got matched with other big streamers without even noticing.
When it comes to smaller streamers, i don't mind. It's just that the idea of hundreds or thousands of people watching me is a big no.
Actually when it comes to smaller streamers, i enjoy going to watch the vod to see the game under their pov, especially if i was playing killer

What do you mean?
OP's point: the survivors i was against were bad, why didn't I win?
Well, maybe, just MAYBE, he's not as good as he thinks he is either
-
All i see in these comments is "if the survivors are bad then [...]"
Didn't you consider the opposite? If YOU as a killer are bad, THEN

SupaAlf nurse guide:
regarding advice posted by @Thunderous_670 :
1) do not blink in front of people. Your 2nd blink should ideally go inside your target, more or less.
2) Fatigue cancellation has been recently acknowledged as a bug (using it is not bannable, so dw); presumably it's getting patched rather soon. Investing time into learning it right now seems suboptimal.
Random pieces of info/advice:
-you can aim a bit upwards when blinking to guarantee maximum blink range (as long as there is no actual 2nd floor around your location)
-if your sensitivity is high enough, you can rise your pov during fatigue to negate fov restriction, but you'll have to turn back down once fatigue ends - otherwise you'll find yourself staring into the sky
-you can rotate your camera during blink
-using single blinks is the fastest way to traverse the map; only use 2nd blink to actually hit ppl
-if you M1 immediatly after blinking, your lunge range is reduced. It is a mechanical limitation unique to nurse and hag. Waiting an extra fraction of a second neglects this effect as you get enough time to build momentum for a full lunge speed
-don't copy perk builds from the very best nurse players, you'll need 2-3kk hours for m&a+deerstalker+nurse's to become an optimal perk set for you. Use something less sophisticated like bbq, corrupted, sloppy+nurses, IF, ruin+undying, ruind+haunted, devour hope+undying, whispers and so on. Nurse is a flexible killer perk-wise; find what you are most comfortable with.
-dropped pallets are your friends: they guarantee you hits on survivors stuck in animation; don't break them
-FL is supposed to lightburn nurse preventing her from blinking, but due to latency/desync/bugs it does not work as it should (and never did); don't be specifically scared of flashlights
Lmfao how do u still have this? xD
Also uhh i cringe every time i see supalf's name. Don't get me wrong he's good but abuses fatigue cancellation and overall plays in a disgusting way too verse :/

As I said in another thread, the DS change would be fine if u could use it twice in a match, you know, like an actual anti tunnel perk
-
Object's change is fine and needed.
DS change would be good if u could use it twice for both hook stages... like an actual anti tunnel perk

It's two extra meters in radius, which results in 37square meters more.

Midwich after it got fixed became one of her best maps.
Basement blinks and her bugs make her annoying when it happens, but overall she's my favorite killer

Love it

Literally half of the killer pool:
Hag, freddy, legion, clown, deathslinger, pyramid head, twins, ghostface, oni and spirit
Man unless I'm with friends I just don't play survivor, it's a ######### torture

They don't balance around kill rates, those are just some stats they shared with us. Doesn't mean they don't have access to much more data than what they show.

I think a totem counter could be good on the perk Small Game, kinda like Thrill of the Hunt has one.
This way Small Game would be change to a token-per-totem-cleansed perk and be buffed ^^
That's actually a very good idea imho

How in the hell do you protect dull totems when you generally have no clue where they even are?
You generally should have an idea of where totems are, and during a game it happens multiple times you walk by dull or cleansed totems already.
What I'm saying is that it's good information for the killer too knowing how many totems are left, especially if they are running noed. That doesn't mean explicitly leaving your path to go and search for the last totem standing

ok, clearly you don't understand what 4 DS does to a killer. its not just 5 seconds of stun, its roughly 30 seconds on average of time lost. the fact that the timer is 60 seconds makes it so they can be unhooked, healed, another person does down, they go for the rescue, get hit, downed, and still have DS up. 4 DS stuns roughly translates to 2 minutes of lost time. that's enough for several gens to be popped if the survivors are competent. and when combo'd with unbreakable they have a full 60 seconds of invincibility. It is absolutely crippling because it basically gives a survivor a 4th hook state, and there can be 4 of them. I don't understand how you can't comprehend that.
Imagine telling to long time players like @TheClownIsKing they don't understand how the game works

A good killer doesn’t have to protect noed lol unless you have some one hooked next to the totem
You completely missed my point
-
@Trashmaster said:
Well now that undying won't be total ass to go against, totem counter seems like a pretty hard and mostly pointless hit on killers
If a killer is running noed they might want to know how many totems are left just in case they want to protect that last one, for example

Pretending like until yesterday mori users weren't those trashcan killers who can't get more than 1k without first hook moring people

Killers: *exist*
Survivors: STOP TUNNELLING ME. YOU ALREADY HOOKED THREE OTHER PEOPLE BEFORE ME BUT THAT'S TUNNELLING
Yes that's exactly what I said

@RandDBD said:

The mori was already nerfed, what the hell are you even talking about here?
I have a better solution for DS, make it infinite, reduce it to 40 seconds, it deactivates as soon as someone else is hooked
So? It's still in the game and it still has the potential to tunnel someone out of the game without any penalty, just not on first hook anymore.
-
@TatsuiChiyo said:
Honestly the change to DS, at least to me, is simple. Give it unlimited uses, lower the time to twenty or thirty seconds, and if a Survivor gets in a locker or touches a gen the perk deactivates. If the perk is supposed to be anti tunnel as so many Survivors love to preach, make it an anti tunnel, not a minute of invincibility.
And sorry Survivors, eating five seconds of stun is not a counter
Deactivate it while entering a locker so theres no counter whatsoever to a tunnel into mori kk
-
If the antidote increases your current movement speed l, does that mean that if you have 3 stacks of pwyf and/or noed, it increases the speed counting them in?

I think PH is fine now. I can actually dodge him if i pay attention and i agree with the twins though.
PH got buffed while his fake wasn't touched at all (yes he can still fake) so no, he's not fine. Also "coincidentally" every PH i played against lately played exactly in the same, boring, tunnelly way using the cages
-
I just played a soloq survivor game. There was no obsession and the killer was a freddy.
Yep, it went exactly how you think it went. :)
Ds is fine.

there is also the fact that token hex's are just bad, there is only 3 of them none of which are viable.
third seal? not even worth running even when slugging.
lullaby? Against good players doesn't do much and usually has to be paired with other perks meaning you'd have to dedicate 2 other perks for it alone with undying. simply not viable.
Devour hope? By the time you get to 3 stacks one totem is probably gone and if not once they find out you have a insta down those totems will be prioritized. This combo can work out but you would probably be better off just running this perk by itself since it is still very likely that you will lose both totems before you reach 5 stacks and if they see one totem without a obvious effect they might assume it is devour hope with undying.
Third seal is actually extremely good when used well
-
Healthiest change for the game since a while. Now delete PH and the twins and we're back on track

That ds didn't help you huh? Smirk smug haha fool u for running ds
Jeez you're pathetic

Scenario: you get unhooked by a survivor while the killer is proxy camping. He hits the unhooked while they're unhooking you, and then immediately after downs them. He then decided to tunnel you. If you don't have bt, he can just down you, pick the unhooker up, then pick you up again and you won't have ds. And even if you have bt, a good killer will end the chase fast enough. How is that not tunneling?
Jesus, the only perk that needs a rework is Object. If you people think ds is problematic, maybe you (or your favorite streamer you're just parroting) are playing the game wrong.
-
Legion, Freddy, Clown, PH, Deathslinger, Hag, Oni, Twins, all with very fun and interactive™ powers
I'd add to the list GF because he's buggy as hell, those doctors that keep spamming the power, and spirit because, as with freddy, it's usually played by boosted players. Good spirits are rare
... Yeah, I don't find survivor fun most of the times.
-
That's exactly why I mostly play killer. How can people say it's frustrating? Have they ever tried soloqueue?
At least if I get mad as killer, it's at my own mistakes
-
All survivors and Nurse
I want to prestige plague too but I have a splinter offering and haven't decided yet if I care about losing it or not

Dead Hard. As said before, it's just a second chance perk that should not even exist. Gives undeserved time in chase for bad survivors and becomes extremely oppressive in the hands of good survivors. It also requires 0 skill on using it, contrary to the other exhaustion perks.
For killers I'd remove either Undying (even though I only see it as problematic when paired with Ruin) or Bambozlee for the same reason as DH.
Wanted to give basically the same answer
I hate bamboozle so much, sucks the fun out of every chase

But doesn't Prove Thyself get rid of the efficiency penalty effectively?
It's not additive. If I recall correctly, the formula is
(1- debuff value)*(1+buff value)
0.85*1.15 =0.97. You're not going at 100% still. It would become yellow with resilience:
0.85 * 1.24 = 1.05
-
Agree. Certain killers are really painful because of the emblems not giving enough chaser or malicious too, making things worse.
Adept should just be 4k using only the perks.
To balance out things, they could make 4k using only the specific killers perks and no addons, while survivors escape through the gates using only their perks and no items (not even in-game from chests)

I've seen countless threads and posts of ppl complaining about deathsquads and that the game needs to be fairer so killers can consistently beat them. I understand that they are challenging and all but let me ask people who think these squads need nerfs this;
If the game was balanced so that majority of killers could decently and consistently beat these teams, then what's actually posing a challenge to you? What's stopping you from just winning everygame? And what's the difference between a 4man deathsquad and an infectious slugging nurse or a ruin undying blight? Sure these cannot be beated by ur average survivors/killers but doesn't that make sense? Why should an average or decent killer with a normal build be able to beat potentailly the most challenging and best teams in the game? It makes more than perfect sense to me that slugging infectious nurses stand a decent chance against these teams and vice verse, because if you were to nerf swfs, what's stopping these insanely strong killers and builds? Because a solo q team sure as heck ain't beating an infectious nurse.
I literally posted this same thread couple of months ago. Surprisingly, most people agreed iirc

It's a tournament build, tried and tested beyond our speculation. Of course, they wouldn't use BBQ and replace it with something like surveillance or other stuff. But it's the strongest build in the game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1838395#Comment_1838395
I mean, I caught a stream during that win streak. He was mostly slugging everyone, then camp the one with the most bleeding timer left and picking them up as soon as the others bled out, in order to deny hatch. I don't think I've ever seen content more sad than that. Even Insidious Bubba can be funny for the jumpscare, at least the first couple of times. I don't understand the appeal of watching someone with thousands of hours stand on a corpse for 4 minutes game after game to get a meaningless streak when using the strongest stuff in the game against the average potatoes.
Yeah, i know, that's another reason why I believe he really did nothing special
@azame honestly if it gives no advantages why not play with normal screen res then?

Same,i've been practicing my nurse game lately and got quite a bit better but man nothing annoys me more than a survivor outplaying a perfect blink just by pressing a button :(
I personally don't use it but that oni's perk that exhausts wounded players can be quite good especially if you're learning
-
Just disable dc penalties for good
-
Affects the fov and during fatigue it's pretty neat. Other than that, nurse is a killer where u can literally slap any perk if ur good enough and have very fun matches, so shadowborn is a good choice
Some people also get motion sickness without it

My heather is only level 42 that's all I had. I dont even normslly run DS,UB, and soul guard.
The second test was actually solid for me. It was my favorite one it worked but just needed to help consistency. After that it feels as if it isnt on.
That build is good only when everyone is playing very aggressively. If you're solo or just chilling with friends, i believe other stuff is better anyway

I mean he is a strong killer player, for definite. Played against a few times, and he doesn't need to be playing OP stuff on Nurse to win, nor does he need to run Stridor on his Spirit. (albeit these two killers are grossly strong)
The stretched res so he doesn't need shadowborn is annoying too, but it's whatever, The devs need to make it so a change in resolution doesn't affect FOV.
He can be as good as he wants, I strongly believe that a kill streak by running the strongest stuff on the strongest killer on a game played mostly by casual players is NOT an achievement, and actually something to frown upon (other than the fact that pls, one must be playing with his feet not to 4k with that build, even in maps like lerys, so it's really nothing special)
Also didn't know about the stretched res. YIKES.

She actually can. SupaAlf abuses this bug a ton, and it makes playing vs her unplayable.
Ah yes he's one of the "best nurses around" that got that huge streak of 4ks with undying/ruin/corrupt/bbq and cd addons. Such a god nurse, imagine not 4king with that build :^^^)
-
I actually don't mind DH for distance. I hate a well landed dead hard that actually dodges my swing. This perk is probably the biggest counter to nurse, and since I have good ping, it seems like I never get those "exhausted on the ground" hits that affect many people, and there's nothing more disheartening than knowing I'll have now to wait fatigue + another 3ish seconds to recharge my blinks and go for another attack. If the survivor broke LoS too then the chase gets even longer just cause E.
Depressing tbh

No matter their skill level, they will perform better than when they were solos.
Also, whether it´s killer or survivor sided is contextual.
Playing MDR+Yakuyoke Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/Stridor sweaty Spirit vs 4 noob solos? Yeah, Killer sided. Playing brown addons trapper against a strong SWF? 100% they have the advantage. There are many variables to this, which you should know as an experienced player.
Straight up this. But considering this forum is GNUUUUUUUUUUUUUU SURVIVORS OP NERFSSSS DS :(((( I will keep taking "the survivors" side, and I'm mostly one who plays killer, literally just to spread some drama around
-
Maaaaaan the people crying about your build are like
The more I play the more I'm convinced hit validation isn't working considering I still get very questionable hits while playing killer AND while playing survivor. But, are we really surprised?
