almost like being told something is being severely nerfed, only for it to actually be a massive buff is frustrating. Especially when it was something that had lots of complaints before.

I play killer and as a survivor I rarely use any infinites. Not having them all needed doesn't bother me in the slightest. Since I can still get most 3 and 4ks

  • I'll still dc if a killer slugs me for the 3k. I still do it now with swfs if my teammate tells me they found the hatch if we have only 2 gens left.

  • As a killer, I'm not gonna make it that easy for your team. I'm gonna slug you and force the. To get you up. If you don't wanna do anything to help them thats good for me. Makes it easier for me to kill everyone since I'm not going to take you to the hook and give them time to do gens more.

  • Lol so you're not happy with the time ban for dc'ing. You have to find ways to force people to stay in a game they don't wanna be in. Never gonna happen. You can't force them to. So killer downs them, they leave them down thats less people doing gens and helping anyway. Just let them leave the game.

  • Marth is in the same level with TydeTime. They both won't be happy until survivors spawn on the hook for them.

  • Lol I don't know why you're gloating so much. Realize, every time they drastically nerf one side they then nerf the other. You do realize at some point blood lust will be removed or nerfed right? And then killers are going to start crying yet again.. oh wait they already do this daily here.

If it's not going to work then let everyone play the ptb as much as possible so the devs can get some data and see what needs changing.

Moaning about these changes 24 hours into the ptb isn't going to change the devs position as there is no proof.

As for a few of the 'there should be more pallets not less' comments. For the game to survive, nobody should be able to run killers for minutes at a time. The games health will deplete and people will stop playing the game. They have to balance for both sides to be fun, not just survivors feeling good about chasing a killer for 4 gens.

Lol Killers shouldn't be stupid to chase ONE survivor for 4 gens. If they also nerf survivors too much then survivors will just stop playing and killers can sit in lobbies forever. It's a hard balance since both sides think their side should always win.

Read my post again, it says "From my experience ( don't know about you guys), almost every single time Survivors put themselves into a 3 gen situation, one of them miraculously finds a key and escapes along with their friends."

I never said "every single game".

Not in My experience as a killer. I rarely get hit like that. Also, I rather them just go on out the hatch then with the key then roaming around the map not doing anything to progress and holding the game hostage. I had 2 survivors the other night who 3 gen themselves. They refused to try to get any gen on and just hid for literally 20 mins. Hoping I would just DC.

And everyone is also ignoring he hooked other survivors in between Jane getting unhooked and getting downed. She wasn't tunneled. DS shouldn't have gone off if it's supposed to be an anti-tunnel perk.

A dev has said here also that DS isn't JUST an anti tunnel perk. So kts best killers stop griping about that.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

SWF is already known to be the most powerful type of way to play.

A good killer can't compete with a decent SWF. Best BHVR is doing for killers is changing map layouts, making smaller loops to cut chases quicker and nerfing 2+ Survivor gen speed.

Hopefully with these changes, some killers can have chance at more hooks and more ways to end chases.

I beat a good red rank swfs last night and got a perfect 32k game. I get many 4ks when I vs swfs *shrugs*. They will never be needed so killers should just deal. Like survivors have to just deal with the trash killers who camp and tunnel. I don't camp and very rarely tunnel.

  • They have said its OK to farm points. As long as its not griefing. Just like when entitled killers wanna claim chat comms is cheating. By the devs rules it is not. People can have opinions on things but the devs make the rules not the players.

  • @migaloo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1206451#Comment_1206451

I didn't make a post about farming. The headsmack moment is when you people keep bringing it up in an attempt to downplay the behavior of blatant griefers.

This isn't farming, this is griefing. If people want to "farm" or otherwise waste time not playing the game, they can do it in a private lobby.

If they don't get BPs in a private lobby, that's probably because the game isn't intended to be played that way. Again, if not playing the game properly, they don't really need BP at all do they? What is the point of getting BP if you're not playing the game to begin with?

Doesn't matter if it's not a banned behavior, it's still ruining the game for other people AKA griefing. The devs also don't ban cheaters but that doesn't mean it's OK to do it.

Its Not banable to play in a public lobby to help each side to farm blood points and won't be. So I don't know what else to tell you. They do NOT have to go to a private lobby. You can upload the video to the devs and have those people banned. But other farming will not get people banned unless its intentional griefing like your case.

  • @migaloo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1204734#Comment_1204734

Going into a public match and ruining the game for other people is griefing. Yes I will call you out if you try to excuse this behavior in some pathetic way as "farming" or anything other than what it is.

There's zero excuse to ruin the game for random people. Do it in a private custom match with your friends.

*Head Smack* they are NOT saying its OK to go into a game and try and force someone who doesn't want to farm to farm or just use them to get pets and kill them like what happened to you. Farming is NOT bannable and the devil have said this, what are you not understanding about that? Its stupid to go into a custom lobby to do because you don't get any bps when you do so of course they will do it in public matches. Most of the time, its the killer asking the survivors if they want to farm to get more bps. Sometimes its nice just to have a game where both sides work together instead of being try hard a holes.

Its wrong to use someone who doesn't want to farm to get bps and force them to stay in a game they don't want. I've also had games where I wasn't asked to farm but I was used for the others to get their pts off of. I wish then we could just kill ourself 1st hook easier because I had them standing right below me to unhook immediately before I could suicide. That is bannable. Please learn the difference in friendly farming and actual griefing. What happened to you is griefing but not everyone farming is trying to ruin the game.

  • If they put limits on swfs teams like only one perk of the same kind not the same perk being ran by others, made gens go by slower, etc then good luck to killers eventually finding lobbies. I know many who have said they will not play survivor anymore if they do that. I'm glad the deva are smart enough not to cater to that. Also if they allowed killers to see who is swfs in lobbies they know that's a horrible idea. That wll just have killers griefng swfs, by tunneling them out the game and constantly bringing Moris or lobby dodging.

  • @Zaitsev said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/143269/bring-mori-but-dont-use-it

Bringing an ivory mori completely messes up SWF. I always mori the most annoying one, and the others proceed to panic. Glorious

Or dc or kill themselves 1st hook because they think it's an ebony lol

I use franklins when I see a key so I'm good.

Ok and? I know where I dropped my key and usually leave an add on that if I die my teammates will get the key.

  • Before they changed it, killers were camping to get their adepts. I'm glad they changed it somewhat so now killers have to actually work for the adepts. Camping is the worse thing you can do if you wanna adept. A legion got mad at my tean the other day because he was trying to adopt but facecamped the first hook and we gen rushed him and got our teammate out because we had bt.

I can certainly support this playstyle. I also try to play as fair as possible. But surely you as a higher rank killer can understand when and why these tactics are used from time to time.

Also what killers do you use where you never have to tunnel. Are you playing Clown in red ranks or the big four?

I have stated before that you can maintain purple ranks playing by the " survivor rulebook" which I also try to do.

However maintaining red ranks, specifically 1to3 may require a bit less fun tactics.

Nah I don't play clown at all. I just dont like him. I play Spirti, Pig but my main is Freddy and actually Mikey. I use rare add ons many times. I mean if its end game and I havent gotten a kill, I may patrol the whole area of the hook because I know the team will more than likely come back for their friend but I don't stay right at the hook. If I come back to the hook and see the one who was rescued and the on who rescued, I'll knock down the one who was unhooked and go for the unhooker. Forcing others to come pick up their teammate. Now if I go back and you have been rescued and haven't gone away from the hook and I dont see anyone else the yes i will most likely hook you again.

Honestly stop there is no common courtesy ######### is with these made up rules and ethics you people want to enforce. Get on the devs to increase gen times, get on the devs to remove 2nd chance perks. Get on the devs to bring balance to the game and you will see camping and tunneling go down.

Your hatred towards survivors is so clear. I think you need to grow up and get over it that survivors will always have the "2nd chance" perks and they are there for a reason. As long as killers are allowed to camp and tunnel dang right survivors should have all their 2nd chance perks. And I'm a rank 4 killer. Doesn't bother me.

  • @MojoTheFabulous said:

Tunneling and camping, while obviously not fun to have done to you, is fair game. Suck it up.

Yep and killers should suck it yo that survivors will still "gen rush" and use all the second chance perks and keys. Stop being little cry babies

  • @Clevite said:

Have you played killer at all? Have you been body blocked while attempting to hook? Have you been flashlighted at every pallet?

Have you been Dsed, followed by a head on stun? Have you hit someone only to see them sprint to the next infinite while playing a level 19 clown to do a daily?

This is one game yesterday. No hyperbole, 1 game.

Sure like every one else I am not a fan of these tactics when used against my survivor. But if you haven't faced what a game vs really good survivors is like, then you can't understand why these tactics are sometimes necessary.

Most killers would rather play less sweaty, but if you do survivors good survivors will just destroy you.

My advice, take a killer to red ranks and gain some empathy for the other side.

Lol I am a purple rank killer who constantly faces red ranks. And I've never tunneled or camped and still get mostly 3k games. I've even made the majority of the friends I play with as their killer because I killed them but I was FAIR and not an as hole about it. I didnt tunnel, I didnt camp. I didnt even mori off 1st hook. And they've told me how much they respect me as a killer. Some people are just trash and only like to ruin the survivors experience or just suck and only know how to get kills by camping and tunneling. Maybe one day the devs will punish those strats more. I'm glad camping makes you lose emblem points and moris give you less points. It's how it should be.

  • I always run unbreakable now and one of my swfs teammates runs no mither more than normal. He's a pretty good looper so it works out. The killer won't have any choice but to hook.

  • @AnnoyedAtTheGame said:

I went into the game as killer up against pro SWF groups. Because I'm sick of these groups, I tunnelled the first guy till he was dead and killed a 2nd guy because I face camped him.

I think 3 gennys was gone before the first guy died, the 2nd guy died when the gates was open.

I'm literally tunnelling and face camping any SWF groups from now on.

Because you have no skill to actually chase and kill anyone.

All Killers Moaning about gen speeds...while i'm playing solo survivor or sometime duo, pretty much terrible tms as i'm off running the killer they wont be doing gens or anything else to help...further more, today alone i've had 8 Killers all running a pink mori and instantly tunnels me off a hook and then i lose a pip for it (granted rank doesn't mean anything) but not a FUN experience for a survivor. Loading times, queue times = 10 minutes for a game pretty much and then to load in just to barely get to play the game is a joke. I get Mori's are fun for killers but when i'm getting pretty much insta-killed in a game after running the killer for so long while my tms don't do anything else but run around like headless chickens, not sure what i'm supposed to be enjoying from this experience, not to mention the terrible amount of bloodpoints gained from a game like that.

Here's an idea which i can actually be happy with, if you want to leave the mori the way it is, fine...then give the survivor some sort of reward in bloodpoints for getting mori'd as then at least it's for something rather than a frustrating experience for survivors.

Que the killer mains yelling "then nerd keys!" Moris are stronger than keys. Keys cant end a game for a killer less than 2 mins.

I think that people focus too much on hook suicide and DC instead of the real problem: why it happens. I've hook suicides before, when I get bugs where I can't play, or when the match is too laggy or when I'm being griefed by other survs. Those are real reasons people hook suicide and they should be adressed

I agree. They should not take out the ability to struggle. I've suicided on hook when I had a few games where the survivors were working with the killer and farming. Trying to get their points off me. Nope. I'll suicide everytime. Or when I had a huge laggy game.

  • Because a key can open it, just like if you shut a door and lock it but someone has a key it can be reopened. Its fair. They did the gens. Bet you're ok with moris, right?

  • Ok, this proves that killers want survivors to just spawn right next to hooks and have nothing at all but an open area.

You simply can’t force someone to stay in a game they don’t want to be in. If they wanna leave they’ll leave. Not saying it’s right for them to abandon the team but what else can you do?

This! I keep telling people, you will never force anyone to stay in a game they don't wanna be in. Except, some killers do. They slug and just leave on the ground to bleed out. Which is just as bad to me as toxic stuff survivors do. And I don't think you should force anyone to stay in a game, if you do you definitely can't force them to play.

Killer rulebook, survivors cannot bring in keys at all.

  • I tried to get friends into this game, but the tunneling and camping and moring off of first hook turned them off. Me and my husband never camp ever and very rarely tunnel but we do know the majority of killers at purple and red ranks do this and newbies because they don't know any other way to play. I could not get them to keep playing. Except one to play killer and he's proud of getting down to rank 5 recently. And doesn't tunnel or camp either.

  • Finally, fixing some of the horrible issues with the huntress's hitboxes. It's not fair when a survivor actually got hit when they shouldn't have.

  • Sabo did get changed, there's a cool down on it and its 2.5 seconds. In the ptb, there was no cool down and it was 2 seconds. And desthslinger got a minor nerf on his cool down. It's like after the legion comes out of frenzy.

Don't understand playing killer? I was rank 1 for a long time...I only stopped because i got bored of it. I never tunneled or camped once as killer so i'm not sure why it is used so much.

How about instead of people moaning on the forums about apparently how OP survivor perks are, figure out new ways to play...most killers who are moaning are the ones who think that they have to get 4 Kills EVERY game for it to be fair to the killer. Face IT, people will die, people will live, but to moan because survivors run perks that counter certain killer playstyles is annoying. I could run Detectives Hunch, Inner Strength, Bond & Iron Will. I would still escape easily. No need to run "OP" perks.

It's funny how i never see any survivors complain as much on the forums as killers do. I'm quite happy for killers to run Noed, Third Seal, Devour hope. All fun totems and make it more difficult to escape. If most killers just played for fun instead of trying to sweat and pip (for no reason because ranks are pointless)...they would have WAY less to complain about.

The only thing I will say is bad for killers is the map sizes, which they are working on anyways. Plus how weak base game killers are like Wraith and Trapper. I get it. I'm sure they're working on a fix, but i don't get why killers are moaning so much and acting like they're doing the devs a favour...

THIS! It's like killers just want survivors to have weak perks. Just learn to counter them. Even after the instaheals nerf I didnt see survivors complain as much. Or after any nerf for that matter.

  • @ItzPixelYT said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1136786#Comment_1136786

I agree and hope DS and maybe even BT get a little nerf. It wouldn't bother me. The only time i run these perks is if i have like 5 games in a row of solo queuing being targeted off the hook. I think the main reason behind the complaints is SWF. I duo queue at most, i hate 4 man queuing. Even when i duo queue i don't communicate with the player. But I get how easy it can be to get ran by a single survivor while 3 others do gens. I just don't see why people come on the forums to complain about it so much...and act like they're a victim, there's so many killers who can just one shot a survivor. Mori without even hooking them. It's like all killers just expect to get 4 kills easy every game. Toxic survivor behaviour begins with the killer...from my POV anyways.

BT doesn't need a nerf since it's already been nerfed. Dont stay close to the hook of you don't wanna be hit with bt. Or just go after the one with bt then.

  • @SirCracken said:

By the holy mother of all that is straw-manning.

I understand that certain players take their complaints a bit too far, but you have a terrible understanding of how killer is played.

The DS complaints... DS is used so much because of killers who are lazy and just want an easy kill. While I get that survivors would feel less reluctant to use DS if they weren't getting tunneled every game, I hate running DS it's boring as hell. But sadly I gotta force myself to run it because killers feel like it's fun to instantly down and target a somewhat exposed survivor. You only got yourselves to blame for the high usage of DS.

DS is used because it is one of the most powerful survivor perks in the game, not because killers want easy kills. It doesn't matter if you down a survivor the moment they get off the hook, or 59 seconds later by randomly finding them again, DS will still reward the survivor with a free escape and head start because the killer did their job correctly while the survivor messed up and got rewarded.

I understand that being tunneled and camped can be frustrating, but claiming that only bad killers do that while also complaining about being targeted because you are exposed, (out of position and easier to down), is a double standard.

Ruin... Oh boy I would hate to see how much you guys sucked back when the old ruin was a thing and it got cleansed... Probably a instant DC...why do you guys try and rely on a gen slow down totem to get kills. Devour Hope is a great alternative...if you want to run a hex or even Noed. But there's some good builds out there, make your killer stronger with perks instead of trying to slow the game down.

Ruin was only useful against low-mid tier skill survivors. High skill survivors were already able to hit skill checks consistently and thus rarely bothered cleansing it unless they happened to find it's, (usually terrible), spawn placement.

Do not try to group up all killers as salty losers who DC the moment their totem is cleansed. It's factually inaccurate and just furthers the divide between killer and survivor communities. I could just as easily say that all survivors DC the moment they are downed. Some do, but certainly not all.

As for slowing down gens, they get done extremely fast. Playing any killer that cannot reliably down survivors within a minute means that for every chase you finally complete there will be at least 1 completed gen, usually more. You should be complaining about the objectives, not the builds that killers use to counter the speed at which they are completed.

BT is the same scenario to camping, tunneling killers...we wouldn't run it if killers didn't camp :).

I've said this once and I'll say it again, tunneling and camping are both perfectly valid strategies that can each be easily countered by just doing gens. You'll more than likely bust out all 5 if you work together before the person the killer is targeting is killed. Also, you seem to have forgotten that BT allows saves directly in the killer's face even if they aren't camping. Another example of bias.

I love when I get a good killer, has good perks... Doesn't tunnel and still gets 3/4 kills. All I seem to get is lazy killers...gen pressure is good.

"I like it when the killer follows the rule set that I have made and still somehow wins even though it puts them at an objective disadvantage than if they were to play optionally." This is just unreasonable.

The main issue with this game is the map sizes. It takes someone like doc a good 30/40 seconds if not more to get across coldwin...map reworks are coming.

    Something we agree on!

Overall, you have a severe bias and fail to understand the basics of playing killer.

Please do not claim that every killer is automatically wrong because they don't play the way you like.

Every killer who camps Is trash and low skilled. I dont ever camp nor of I rarely tunnel. And stay red and purple ranks. Camping is only viable if you see other survivors around that hook. I respect every killer that wrecked is without camping or tunneling and have faced quite a few who can. My husband is a rank 1 every single season and never camps not even end game and gets 30k many games and mainly 3 to 4ks. Killers are definitely the whiner base. And always have been.

  • I'm still not trash and camp. I won't camp. Besides, when I bring a key I'll usually hide it somewhere so if I die my friends can get it. But if survivors do the objective to get the hatch to come up, oh well. It is the only few times I will mori after first hook though.

  • There's a ticket you can submit to post the video in. Peanits posted the link on another thread. Sorry that happened to you.

  • Camping is trashy and makes anyone who does it trash, period. I do play both sides. I NEVER camp no matter what the other side does. Unless there are other survivors around the hook, I'm going to leave and go look for others and stop gens. If I'm chasing someone and the hooked survivor gets rescued, I'm not going back to that hook. I will go back if they get saved and I havent found someone, but even then I'm going to go after the savior and not the unhooked. Unless the on unhooked is still near the area and I see no one else. Depends on what I'm trying to do if I'll slug the second to last survivor. Sometimes I'll just go on and hook and if the last one gets the hatch then oh well. I usually get 3 and 4k games, almost always at lease a 2k. I'm a rank 5 and play against mostly red and purple ranks. I just dont see the point in trying to make the game a horrible experience for others by slugging and taking them out the game so quick. Ad survivor, I only bodyblock to try and help a teammate if he's being carried. I don't use flashlights and I will throw a pallet down if I know it can by me a little more time. I will teabag to try and get the killer's attention only of he's been tunneling a teammate for so long or he's played douchy all game then I will at the gates. I do run keys sometimes. And as a killer, I don't get mad about keys being used and feel they don't need a nerf. I failed as a killer if they got to use it.

  • @D3adZ0n3 said:

I mean come on guys read his comment "the killer couldn't find me so he called a survivor for help" where we're you when he found you? A locker perhaps?

It's still a bannable offense to help the killer. It's not bannable to be a lazy player. I mean if it were, many campers would be banned 🤷‍♀️

  • How long have you been playing this game? Because I've played it from the beginning and feel it's the most balanced it's ever been. In the beginning it was very heavily survivor sided. Insta brand new parts, intsa heals, infinite loops and vaults, exhaustion perks had no cool down, permanent hook and trap sabo, hatch standoffs, self care was as fast as a med kit, bt worked for both survivors, pallet vacuums. I say we bring all that back for a month for all the whiny killer mains who cry every day about wanting survivor nerfed.

  • They cannot and should never force anyone to stay in a game. People got their bans, be happy. Stop trying to force people to stay in games. Because if someone doesnt want to be in a game, they will not do anything. Just let them go ahead and die first hook.

  • Spirit prayer beads. So annoying. Mori nerf and ruin nerf.

  • They're just trash, low skilled killers is all. Im rank 4 killer, play against red ranks and never camp no matter what (unless a survivor keeps trying to just farm their teammates in front of me) and I try my best not to tunnel. Still get 3 and 4ks. And I dont use ruin. They just are whiny little babies throwing temper tantrums so they are taking their ruin nerf anger out on survivors and trying to ruin the game for them. Its pathetic.

  • It's never gonna change. They are never going to get rid of SwF because then the game will die. They know this. And they said they will also never add proximity chat because of the abuse other players not in a party could get. It's fine how it is. I rarely play with 3 other friends. I mainly play with one other and some times 2.

  • @I_Face_Camp said:

This irritates me so much when there are 2 survivors left and you down one for them to DC and open the hatch instantly. This happens actually quite a bit. Last game I had one down and was looking for hatch and then found the other and her teammate DCed and the hatch was right in front of the living survivor. It's a deliberate cheat and a show of bad sportsmanship.

I'll do it every time and take the dc penalty. Dont slug for the 4k then 🤷‍♀️. When I play killer, if I slug for the 4I and one does dc I dont get mad.

  • Nah, the killer shouldn't get more points just because people want to play with their friends.

  • Endgame was never meant to secure a 4k for killers. It was solely meant to stop hatch standoffs. And that's what it does.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

I think keys should only allow one escape each, and require a 10 second channel to open hatch. All survivors escaping from one key is ridiculous when gens still need to get done.

Then its ridiculous that a killer can take one survivor out of the game after just one hook. In order to use a key, certain requirements still have to be met depending on how many survivors are left. If all 4 survivors are left, it takes all gens to be popped. Like Pug said, killers are going to whine and cry over everything until survivors have nothing.

  • How about no. Every survivor has a right to use whatever item they bring in. They did their objective so they got out. Take your loss and move on. I do as a killer. But I also don't use moris after first hook either. I do my objective as a killer and multi hook and chase.
