  • Played on PC last night and this morning. Had quite a few games where the other survivors got mad they were caught first and killer themselves 1st hook. One was mad they got saved before they could totally die and started being a trolly ****. Ran working is throwing down pallets and jumping in lockers and screwing up skill checks. Then crouched around the map doing absolutely nothing. Honestly at that point, I wish they had just dc'd. Then had a killer who camped and then slugged. One had unbreakable, but was slugged again. I went back to xbox and saw a difference there. So no I dont believe the dc penalty is going to be a game changer. As killer also, in a game one survivor got mad I caught them first, killed them selves first hook and the other 3 gave up too because their friend left the game early. I depipped anyway.

dc penalty system's here and it's here to stay so deal with it or go play f13 everyone hating on it are just salty players who found out that they can't throw a hissy fit anymore without getting a well deserved repercussion, good job bhvr

Lol what repercussion? Since I dont dc much, it's not gonna bother me. I will still do it to help out a teammate and screw over a crappy killer.

Yes and your fun is denying other player's fun. We get it, you care only about yourself having fun while lacking any sence of game sportmanship that PvP games have.

Maybe you haven't heard but in multiplayer gaming there are set rules you have to obey otherwise you'll get penalised. Just go ahead and try to excessively leave, AFK or any other offence in any major PvP game and you'll see yourself penalised or even banned pretty fast. Luckily for you DBD is rather tolerant in this matter but eventually you might have to switch to another game if you can't have fun without leaving so many matches you don't like.

Lol that sounds like many killer mains. They only care about their fun. They admit to tunneling and camping because it's fun for them and not for the survivors. But everyone wants to defend that trashy behavior. Devs need to punish that too if they really cared about more people playing and stopping the toxicity.

If a killer slugs me, I'm still going to DC and take my penalty. At least my teammate got out and the killer got less points since most killers admit they try to ruin survivors games. I play just as much killer and dont cry for the 4k. I dont slug for it either.

  • No one is going to force me to play. If I get into a game and I'm not having fun and the killer is going to be a douche like many have said they would, i will just kill myself on hook and move into the next game. It would be stupid for punishing for that. And like someone else said, once the devs go that route, many will be out.

And I don't see why they allow both sides to ruin the other's games on purpose. That's why I now play mostly killer. And I don't try and ruin the survivor's games. I never hook the same one twice, so I never get hit with DS, and never camp. If a survivor is farmed in front of me, I go after the one who unhooked them. On moris, the majority of the time I use on someone's 2nd hook. And I'm a rank 4 killer.

The fact is they ARE OP. They can change the entire tide of the game in seconds. You could have an extremely strong 3 gen, the survivors’ fault that would be, yet they had a key and completely undo THEIR mistake. Yes, Ebony is much more OP but at the same time, if a key and an ebony faced each other, the person with the key or anyone who picks up that key is out unless they get Mother’s Dwelling or Swamp- those maps are awful for finding the hatch.

Edit: also just noticed what you said about ending the game in minutes - survivors do that anyway without the killer needing a Mori, we can all agree gen times are a bit messed up with toolboxes and the whole game can be completed in less than 2 minutes.

I will agree, some toolboxes are definitely OP. But again, keys are not really. Since if you have 4 survivors escape through hatch, that means they at least did their objective and got all gens on. I wouldn't mind if they made where the skeleton let let everyone out like now and the full key only allowed one survivor to give through and immediately closed after.

They wouldn't force you to do it. They would just punish you for excessively suiciding on hook. That is something they very realistically can do.

Nah. Should not be difficult to detect who's been dying on first hook repeatedly because they didn't bother to struggle. Combo that with reports of players dying on purpose (which IS listed under Unsportsmanlike Conduct), and you've got a pretty easy way to nail 'em.

Well theyve said they will NOT do that. So people should get over it. You got what you wanted, dc penalties. They cannot and should not force anyone to stay in a game they dont want. Before I played killer a lot, my husband used to do my dailies and pip my killer down to red rank. When I started playing more killer, I didnt want to be that rank. So I went afk as wraith in the basement and let survivors do gens and get out. That's not bannable and actually probably never will be.

Keys, I will admit, are pretty overpowered. Your point with toolboxes, also relevant but that’s why they’re getting nerfed. There is no need to get rid of medkits however. Most of the med kits have 16-24 charges meaning you can’t get more than one complete heal off of them. The Very Rare med kit you can get 2 heals off of (this is all without add-ons of course). None except the Emergency Med kit speeds self healing up- i mean, that’s what 90% of the time medkits are used for after all. It takes a normal heal time - 16 seconds and can only be used once or twice without add-ons. Realistically, you wouldn’t get a chance to even heal against a good killer and some killers completely punish medkit healing if played right -Plague, Legion, occasional Billy and Leatherface.

I laugh when I see people say keys are OP. It's your fault as a killer for letting them get the required amount of gens done to get hatch or didn't notice they had a key. Ebony Moris are way more OP because they can literally end a survivor's game in a few minutes. A key really cannot, unless you kill all 3 quickly and the last one got the hatch. But even as killer, I feel it's fair. We get to shut the hatch which is what many killers wanted for so long, so it is fair they can reopen them. The closing of the hatch did what it's supposed to do, stops hatch standoffs.

Ruin is gone now, there is no reason that DS and other meta perks should exist anymore. If killers have to suffer through gen rush then survivors should have to deal with tunneling and camping. Suck it up survivor you got caught. Enough with the 2nd chance perks. Make this game actually fun again instead of a survivor playground.

I never saw any survivor cry as hard or threaten to ruin the game for killer when MoM and BL and instaheals were nerfed. And I play both sides equally. Also a purple rank on both sides and play against red ranks every game. Nothing bothers me enough where I'm gonna be trash and camp and tunnel. Or bully a killer.

It's an online Multiplayer, DC penalties should've been in it from the beginning.

One person DCing ruins the game for 4 other players. If you're not having fun then DC but don't expect that you're actions wont have consequences considering it effects the game for everyone else.

If you actually have to leave the game the penalty shouldn't be that bad since you wont be doing it often. If you're intentionally DCing to the point where the Time gate is an issue then you deserve to wait every second of it.

But you cannot ever force anyone to stay in a game. Many survivors will now and have already started to just kille themselves first hook or keep hiding from the killer and not do anything. Some killers have just slugged people just trying to play the game and then went afk while they bleed out because they know the survivor can't dc. So you feel those things are fair just so you can be catered to for someone leaving a game they don't enjoy? And I rarely dc. But I never get mad when someone dcs on me as a killer or survivor. As a killer because I play fair, I rarely get survivors dcing anyway. I dont tunnel and and dont camp.

I'm pretty sure that both killing yourself on purpose and going AFK are listed as reportable offenses in the reporting section. So I'd think twice about doing it repeatedly if I were in your position.

When the dc penalties were being tested on the ptb, people already mentioned would there be a punishment for suiciding on first hook. Peanits said there would NOT be and never would be. Because they cannot tell why someone did that and would be too hard to implement. So get over it that you cannot force anyone to stay in a game they dont want. I wont and if a killer is camping and tunneling I will suicide first hook if I'm with randoms so I can go on to find a game I enjoy. And since I don't care much about my rank or being banned in the game, if my teammate finds the hatch and the killer has me slugged, I will still leave the game and take the ban. 🤷‍♀️
