BT and DS, but even running BT and taking hits and body blocking, killers do not care. They want that one kill no matter what.

I play both and the lag is less bad on survivor as a console player I play a day 1 Xbox one mind you.
most Common lag for me is just with skill checks or a sudden freeze for a second. Occasional rubber banding but never stuck mid animation.
but then again the lag has been worse for some people and depending on your console. Seems more like you having internet lag man
I think the lag is better for killers than it is for survivors. I don't know why killer mains think they're the only ones having issues. I die constantly because of it. I've had to switch out two perks I normally use that are pointless now. So don't play killers that are worse while this is happening. It's not that complicated.
-
Yeah it's unfair that killers just have to find it and they get so much more cake. It's actually kind of outrageous how much easier this event is for killers. Just play selfishly. Use only perks that help you. It sucks but if you're using survivors you don't normally use anyway, I think it's just better to get it over with and then you can go back to playing normally.
-
It's not unique to killer, I hate to break it to you. Imagine skill checks as a survivor. Imagine vaulting a window and being stuck mid animation for three seconds. Imagine unhooking someone and being stuck in that animation for six seconds. Imagine running through a pallet and all of the sudden you teleport back six feet and you're facing a different direction. But yeah, killers are the only ones with problems on console.

I only play solo.
I was just doing a gen with a Jake. He heard the heartbeat and instead of finishing the gen with me, he ran and hid. I just let the killer down me because I wanted out of the game. The Jake stayed crouch, petrified, the entire time I was being taken to the hook, then ran farther away when I actually got on the hook. Didn't finish the gen or have the ######### sense to stop the gen that was 90% done from regressing. But yeah, people are so much more skilled than they think.

Exactly it's the other things that took priority instead of stabalising the game so everyone could enjoy the anniversary event.
Yeah on my main trapper I get at least 1 to 3 cakes every bloodweb (you get them more on killers that have all the perks unlocked it seems).
The ptb could have waited...
My P3 Nea barely gets any cakes. I've had to do more than 10 blood webs to get a single cake on her.
But yeah I just keep shaking my head at how this game has always treated PC players compared to console. I'm sure there are games that are worse, but none that I've ever played.

People don't know how to play against Wraith for some damn reason.
I still think Freddy is stronger than Wraith, even though Wraith can counter W meta.
How do you play against a killer you can't see most of the time, can't hear, and he's so fast you are going to get hit, period? I think they went too far with his buff but oh well. It's not like they'll admit they made a mistake and do anything that would upset killer mains.
-
@latinfla4 said:
You made out like bandits...a lag free extended event and more shards and blood points...glad I continue to support this game on xbox🙄.
I don't even bring addons or cakes anymore because I know at any time DC crash just because🤬
LOL, yeah. I know it's not PC players' fault that the devs don't care about console players at all, but it is frustrating. I'm not bringing in cakes either because as a survivor, I maybe get one out of 4-5 full bloodwebs if I'm lucky. I've had to spend more than 315,000 to get cakes before on Yun Jin. Just not worth it with so many killers tunneling.
It's a slap to the face to see PC players playing the PTB when it's so broken on console. I'm glad they're worried about buffing Trickster though. That should be the #1 priority.

@Ruma said:
To everyone who claims to be bad at the game, please show me some of your gameplay.
I bet most of the people who claim to be bad are way better then they think.
You probably don't do a lot of solo queueing if you think people are better than they claim to be.
-
@shanny_boi said:
Is it really that bad on console? I play on PC and fortunately have experienced practically no performance issues. Did the last update really shatter the performance on console?
It literally lags constantly. Imagine going to make a save and in the middle of the animation, you literally freeze for six seconds. That's not an exaggeration. Every interaction with the killer, your game freezes. I vaulted a window the other day on my way to make a save and was frozen there for three seconds. It's constant. I can't use DS, and maybe Dead Hard works once out of four or five tries. Just regular skill checks are incredible difficult because your game freezes.
-
I wish they'd stop putting out new content every three months and fix the broken game they already have.
Can't wait for another crappy indoor map. Yay.
-
How often Dead Hard doesn't work. I laugh when killers complain about it when it literally fails more often than it actually works. Imagine if the devs destroy that perk like they did with DS and then survivors switch to an exhaustion perk that works more than 30% of the time. IMAGINE.
-
And you had to make a whole post over it, so I mean...
-
I don't see any point in using them when so many killers tunnel people out of the game with less than 7000 BP. I'm not rewarding killers for playing like that, especially when everything about the event is easier for them.
-
It's a perk for killers without any skill that works on survivors without any skill and little experience.
-
@Gaffy said:
Did the killer catch you in the open by their own game knowledge and you would be dead otherwise? Just press E and have an i-frame to make it to the next loop.
Did the killer red light mind game you at a pallet and there's no way to recover from the distance the killer has gained towards you? Just press E to instantly dodge their swing and be safe at the pallet.
This perk is the literal definition of a crutch, a way to fix a mistake you made on your own accord and completely negate all mind game from the killers side.
And the excuse of "wait it out" is complete and utter BS when this perk is used for the distance instead of the damage 80% of the time by better players. Can't wait until BHVR puts this perk in the trash where it belongs, zero mind game or counters for free invincibility and distance because you played badly and got injured.
Do you have any idea how often Dead Hard just does not work? Seriously? If BBQ just flat out didn't work as often as DH fails survivors, killers mains would be rioting. It makes me laugh every time someone has a tantrum over DH when it works maybe 50% of the time if you're lucky.
-
I've had a lot of games where I stay behind after all of my teammates leave, and the killer downs me and takes me to the door. I assume they just want to derank and I leave if they do that.
-
They're just going to drive all of us solo survivors away, so the only people left are the SWFs that killer mains like to constantly scream about.
-
yeah I don't see how making the event last longer makes it up to us console players at all. It's god awful to play right now, and they're rolling out a new PTB for PC players and worrying about buffing Trickster. It's a slap in the face. None of us should spend a penny on this game ever again.
-
As if running DS, BT, and taking hits for teammates stopped killers from tunneling. LMAO
-
I'd love to get in lobbies with all the survivors who know how to perfectly play this map every time like you seem to get.
-

Outdated killer, needs some buffs
Yep, every killer needs to be made stronger. It's not like there aren't thousands of new players with the new chapter and the game is much easier for beginner killers than survivors or anything. Let's nerf some more survivor perks while we're at it.
-
It happens to me a lot. Honestly, I'm absolutely thrilled if my teammates are actually doing gens when I buy them that kind of time. Most of the time I'm lucky if my teammates do one. I just got tunneled for about 3-5 minutes and my teammates couldn't be bothered to finish the last gen. They all had their crowns though. I had a Trickster chase me for EIGHT MINUTES straight and my teammates still didn't do all the gens. It's painful to play solo.

Thanks guys. I was getting annoyed because I am finding lots of times I am the only one bringing one.
I see lots of people saying theyre saving them which makes zero sense to me. While the event is on seems the best time to use them. Use them, use the bloodpoints to get more for post event.
I spend 315,000 on Yun Jin before I got a single cake a couple days ago. Just now I spent 220,000 on her and I got ZERO cakes. I've had to go through more than 10 bloodwebs on my P3 Nea and Yui to get a single cake. They just are not dropping for survivors. And I'm not going to bother when so many killers are tunneling people out with less than 5,000 BP. Others probably feel the same.
-
I had to spend 315,000 to get a single cake on Yun Jin. But then twice I had to spend over 500,000 to get a single cake on Nea, so it wasn't so bad.
Edit: Just spent 220,000 and no cakes yet

No it’s not. There’s no counterplay from the killer side if they use it for distance. I absolutely hate the feeling when I mind game a survivor and they press one button to completely undo their bad play. It’s a very terribly designed perk because of that.
Look at it this way though - it fails constantly. Literally constantly. I have game after game after game where I'm not once able to use it because I'm exhausted on the ground. I don't care that killers don't like it being used for distance when it does not work more than half of the time.
What killers perks just regularly do not work? I'm not a killer main so I don't know. I can't imagine if BBQ didn't work as often as DH fails. Killers would lost their minds.

You can't get an anniversary crown on Nemesis so anyone doing the event won't play him.
Also, he's just an average Killer nothing super special. I would expect him to have a similar pickrate to Demo
I think he's stronger than people realize. I am constantly chased off the last gen by zombies while he is chasing someone else. It's very frustrating.
-
I see him all the time.
-
I was just coming here to see if anyone else was having problems.
It was just like yesterday - nearly instant survivor games, and then all of the sudden I'm waiting 20+ minutes.
PS4.
-
I don't think she's as bad as people say, it just seems like a lot of killers play her wrong. Almost every game I play against Pig, she tunnels the person with the trap.

Going on 40 minutes with no game. Is this because of the storms moving through the area or is no one playing?
About half an hours ago (5:30 PM Central) I stopped being able to get a game. Survivor I waited 20 minutes. Switched to killer and it's been about a 10 minute wait so far. PS4. I had been getting almost instant survivor games. Something is up. This isn't just lots of people playing the PTB.
-
Screw every killer who DC's as soon as their Ruin is cleansed with five cakes.

Yep. Near instant games and all of the sudden I've been waiting almost 20 minutes.

I mean, you can grab a vaccine before you're sick, right? Some people aren't going to get infected the whole game - why should people not use them if they need them?

Survivors don't care that much about bloodpoints. They prefer to do a gen rush and get 10k per game instead of just trying to enjoy the game and points for everyone. For them, "a win" is everything.
Right now the best thing you can do is run a strong perk regression build. Sadly I don't have that with all killers so some killers I'm not able to play with them.
LOL
Everything about the event is easier for killers. Literally everything.

Only two in a row? Man, I wish I had your luck. EVERY single killer that I meet does either one, or the other, or even both. Can't have a non-toxic match, in this game.
Oh it's almost every game they camp, tunnel, and slug, just not usually all four of us slugged at five gens. That only happened twice in a row. And then killers complain we aren't bringing cakes. I spent more than 300,000 BP on two different occasions before I got a single cake. This event has been trash.

I agree, the reason people run BBQ is the bloodpoints, thrilling is a far better version of the perk that does more things.
In reality though, dead hard IS overperforming, my post above explains exhaustion perks and their differences.
Doesn't matter. Nerf BBQ. DH only works half the time and if it needs to be nerfed, so does BBQ.
-
Do you have any idea how often Dead Hard fails?

Rarely as a solo player(almost 3k hours) do i get screwed over by someone camping the hatch. For me its hard tunneling and face camping and their great value walmart servers creating screw ups for the killer capitalize on(ie: getting a m1 hit when i'm 10 feet from the window even with lithe). Plenty of people don't get the same problems as others regardless of the role we play though.
If you take away all 4 players escaping, you cut off a big part of the game, and create an even bigger problem for (solo)survivors. Because at least half the games I play, the exit gates spawn close enough you can see between. Even on bigger maps. I almost always know where the hatch is, next to an exit gate or somewhere between them. There is no deviation from this, since it is a constant(at least for me). Which honestly, all of the above makes the game really stale.
I have 1,500 hours as a solo survivor and I'm screwed over like this regularly. Though there has been more face camping during this event. It kinda makes me laugh.
-
I don't know why the change wasn't if someone else is downed or hooked, DS deactivates. That's literally the definition of not tunneling. Now survivors are punished for playing the game. The nerf went too far.
-
I think he's one of the killers that are a lot harder to use on console, so that's one reason why you don't see him as much. But who cares about console players. Buff Trickster.

Honestly if they incentivized staying in a toxic game versus dcing, it would also help.
I dont know what they have planned, but an instant pop of the hatch isn't exactly neat. I dont know any lock except the trunk of my car that pops up lol
I don't think it's keys that needed the change as much as the hatch. Hatch shouldn't spawn until there is one person left. And then the trophy for all four escaping via hatch needs to go. I'm tired of losing games because one person camps it while I try to get the last gen done, and theyre found and the hatch is instantly closed. They screw us both over. It actually helps the killer in a lot of situations, not that any killer would ever admit that.
-
I think it's only helpful now when the game is already lost by the killer. End game, someone is on the hook, they're walking out, assuming someone actually makes a save for a change.
It's sad that a perk that's supposed to be anti tunneling now punishes survivors for playing that game. It's broken. The nerf went too far.
-
Really? I just had two killers in a row camp, tunnel, and slug at five gens.
-
Solo players are going to continue to be hurt by people who stop playing, if they even start at all, just so they can get hatch.

It is amazing how bad the average player is. So often you can see 3 of them sitting off in the corner pulling off self-care while you sit on your 1 hook all the way to death and then they all die in about 3 minutes as they yolo rescue in the basement against a bubba.
Yeah I kinda wish rank weren't a thing because a lot of garbage players seem to think it matters. I regularly have red rank teammates who all run Self Care. I've had two games recently where I'm being chased, and the other two let the person die on the first hook WITH KINDRED.
