Yea lol you’re definitely right about that and also the emblem system changed to where sabotaging doesn’t do anything towards a pip up, now before that change someone could literally sabotage two hooks to 99 , cleanse a dull totem , repair one generator, and be chased at least once and you were guaranteed a pip up live or die which is why a lot of people had it on there, but I rarely encounter a sabo crew anymore since the emblem system was implementedSally55 said:@lyric said:

Maybe they are implying that survivors will eventually die cuz bad and the last one will use the map to find the hatch.
They’re saying they will sabo all the hooks and use the rainbow map to track them because they are supposed to have special hooks like the howling grounds
Well they will be disappointed because hangman's trick will stop all that nonsense

I agree with that advice I don’t do that at all, lol that’s actually kind of annoying to me when that happens because I waited forever and then they want to mess around in the lobby and not ready up. I’m just at rank one playing solo maybe sometimes with one other but not often and I’ve taken my prestige clothes off and started wearing some of the newer cosmetics because I find a game faster and forget about finding a game if you’re prestige 3 and want to use a flashlight I’ve just started letting mine build up so I can actually get to enjoy and play the gameOrion said:This is not possible for the Killer DCing because they are the host. However, I'll give you some advice: don't do a last-second switch, and you'll see a lot less Killers DCing at the start of a game.

I think this is an excellent idea , my idea with replacing the totem yourself after it breaks would’ve been too time consuming and rendered totems useless as survivors would cleanse them all early, but the immediate perk transfer of your choice is fair in my book but only for ruin and not devour hope or the other hex perksJAZC_CR said:Just a little idea, u need to put the perk in lobby what do u want when u loose for example ruin, so u loose ruin then, you got the perk u choice in the lobby, sorry for my grammar... very sad i know

If you allow a survivor to loop you for all five gens you deserve to lose imo, I don’t like the bloodlust nerf because it helped with people who solely play on trolling the killer getting caught and loopers. I’d be willing to bet after this next chapter they add another objective for survivors to escape and slightly bigger maps with more stealth opportunities instead of ring around the rosie and trying to break line of sight after a pallet stun or goin through a building, when you get in the high ranks as a survivor you run into either a decent killer who uses camping as a strategy to lure survivors trying to get those benevolent points for the pip or a godly killer who can track everyone down quick and you sometimes are left with no option than to get to a safe zone because of the skill of the person along with possibly being in a horrible section of the map to break sight and escape gives you no other choice but to do that and regather what your next move is, it seems like it’s an intended mechanic to loop or you would think they would only be in certain closed off areas that don’t have the possibility of a loopTsulan said:@SenzuDuck said:
Recently they said in their Twitch Stream (Last Weeks) that they aren't going to touch Self-Care anymore.
Just so you know.DS can get screwed though - it's an awful perk.
After the BL nerf, DS should really get a buff. Survivors should be able to use it every [BAD WORD] time they get downed. When i loop a killer for 5 gens, i really deserve to get that free escape. After all, the killer lost the mindgame.
YES, THIS IS SARCASM!

If you’re THAT salty and you don’t like the game THAT much that the majority of the people playing it make you feel like they are all cancer than YOU stop playing dead by daylight, it will work much better for you than trying to remove a whole mode because you’re ######### at a game and can’t handle it.RemoveSWF said:@Visionmaker said:

You're right. So where's my option to block you from my queue?
I'm a Leatherface main, often considered to be just above Wraith/Freddy tier - possibly one of the weakest killers in the game. Certainly no higher than mid-tier.You play SWF which gives you many, many advantages over solo queuers - when one of your grief squad dies, you will know all of my perks. I won't be able to use Knock Out because you can just tell each other where you are, Blood Warden is useless, NOED is severely gimped, etc. That's JUST because you use voice chat. Add the full survivor meta and you've got a 90%+ win percentage if you play like Marth in his experiments. If you play optimally, I have essentially zero chance against you.
But you want to dodge anyway because you know three things:
- You can't bully a good Leatherface.
- I would tunnel you so hard you'd feel like a ######### victim.
I don't give free rescues to SWF monkeys flinging feces.
Hope to see you in-game soon!
I don't care what killers you play or how you play. I should be able to dodge griefing, toxic players as much as you can.
Translation - You should be able to dodge every killer who doesn't give your SWF grief squad multiple free rescues.
This is why you are cancer.
Stop playing Dead by Daylight.
I'm not the salt mine creating a novelty account just to ######### and whine.
Are you still here?
I salt mine by choice, your existence causes salt because you're pure cancer.

It may not be the best solution but it’s a start, some killers wreck those groups when they play against them, I figured the any add on and perk choice would make up for it by having a variety of options to counter certain play styles or items you might see going into a matchTheXenoborg said:I see your point. Making SWF a separate non-ranked mode, where people can have fun is a good idea, except the mechanics and exploits would remain the same. In the end, only the SWF teams will be having fun while the killer would be having a harrowing time and not even earning any bloodpoint for any action. So I don't know if that's a good solution to the SWF problem, because it does not address the root cause.

Your name pretty much explains your luck in this game , I guess nobody is entitled to anything unless it’s you having the luck otherwise your name wouldn’t be about removing an entire game mode! say it with me “ you’re not entitled to a kill” and “ you’re not entitled to have a game mode removed because you can’t play smart enough to beat them” you claim they always hook rush and never do gens then you should be a beast at swf and want to play it instead of rage posting and creating that nameRemoveSWF said:@EpicFailTryHard said:

It definitely will be too much , as a survivor main I can tell you it will be abused immensely, imagine a scenario where the killer is chasing someone through a pallet and a team mate runs up behind and does this in the middle of a pallet while another cues the flashlight blind and the original being chased slams the said pallet in killers face and then he proceeds to more than likely get blinded again while breaking the pallet lol and you’d basically give anyone who ran that perk a risk free way to free their team multiple times if they were ever caught,it would be way worse than DS ever wasSaxonnn said:@Vortexas Yeah hence why I said I wasn't sure about that perk because I don't know if that'll give the survivors too much power
-
Yea I guess that’s true, they really need to have a standard ping requirement to host or join lobbies so that way it’s not an excuse because there are killers who dodge simply because of items so why should they deserve their rank if they are afraid to play against items? and I’m not talking swf groups either it’s happened to me where I couldn’t find a game for an hour by myself because I was prestige with a flashlight , but it’s the same way a swf group doesn’t deserve their rank if they have white and red ranks on the same team and get ######### killers all day while ranking up, this and rank 20 glitches are why people feel it’s impossible to play with randoms, you have people who play at a false rank 20 and rank up to one then don’t know how to handle it when they’re alone and DC when they go down or miss a D strike, or they’ll farm you off the hook and make stupid decisions that screw the whole team overTsulan said:
No penalties for lobby dodging.lyric said:
His penalty may be a bit harsh but there should be one in place for survivors and killers who lobby dodge or dc, I’d recommend a time penalty to put in place, you dodge a lobby you can’t join another for 5 minutes and if either side DC mid game and it’s not a reported connection error then you lose 5000 bloodpoints and get a 15 minute time penalty before you can play again, it’s not too harsh and it punishes both sides equallyTsulan said:Shouldn't it be the other way around?
I mean after all the threats and review bombing of survivor mains.
Edit: @Vietfox killers really seem to enjoy the balance. How about you?
If you start to force people to play with high ping or against a swf group with 4 flashlights, then people will either dodge ingame or abandon the game completely. -
The only thing I disagree with is we’ll make it being nerfed, I run that perk lol I love it the way it is and if I can safely unhook you, get the heals and escape without being seen afterwards then I feel as if I earned itNo_Mither_No_Problem said:These are some things I dreamt up to change some Perks, hopefully for the better. Let me know what you think.
KILLER PERKS
Thanatophobia: For every injured, dying, hooked, dead, or disconnected Survivor, all Survivors receive the following penalties:
-3/4/5 percent reduced action speed to all actions.
-3/4/5 percent smaller success zones on ALL Skill Checks (DS and Snap Out Of It included).
-1/1/2 percent increased penalty on all Skill Check fails.
-All percentages are additive, not multiplicative, and relative to the default size of the success zone.
-If 4/3/2 Survivors are unhealthy, all Skill Checks lose their bonus zones except for Ruin Skill Checks.
-Survivors with No Mither equipped do not affect Thanatophobia while in the “injured” state.Surveillance: All damaged generators are revealed in white to you. A generator’s white aura gains a pinkish tinge if the generator regresses to zero. When a Survivor starts repairs on a white or pink generator, receive a unique notification. This notification has a cooldown of 20/15/10 seconds.
Territorial Imperative: When a Survivor is inside the basement and outside of your Terror Radius, their aura is revealed for 3/4/5 seconds or until they leave the basement. Has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds.
Hex: Huntress’s Lullaby: No longer a Hex Perk.
SURVIVOR PERKS
We’ll Make It: Upon performing a successful hook rescue for the first time, gain a 50/75/100% speed boost to healing for 30 seconds. For each unhook after that, the boost only lasts for 10 seconds. After the first hook rescue, every hook rescue you perform adds a 5/10/15% speed boost to healing up to a maximum of 10/20/30% for the remainder of the trial. The temporary and permanent speed boosts do not stack. If both are active, the temporary speed boost takes precedence over the permanent one. Does not affect self-healing.Decisive Strike: Once per match, when picked up by the Killer, succeed a series of considerably/moderately/slightly difficult Skill Checks every two seconds to increase the wiggle bar and slightly/moderately/considerably offset the Killer’s path of movement. Each successful Skill Check increases the progress bar by 20%. If you fail a Skill Check, you will keep wiggle progress but you must resort to normal wiggling.
We’re Gonna Live Forever: Is not activated by hook rescues unless the unhooked Survivor stays off the hook for 10 seconds.
Self-Care: Unlocks the ability to heal yourself without a Med-Kit over the course of 40/35/30 seconds. You cannot use Self-Care to heal yourself if you suffer from the Mangled status effect or if you have used it to self-heal for the equivalent of 3 health states in one trial. TIER 3 ONLY: Failed Skill Checks do not have a negative impact on how much self-healing reserve you have left.
Saboteur: Unlocks the ability to sabotage without a Toolbox at 50% the normal sabotage speed. Increases Toolbox sabotage efficiency by 30/40/50%. Items damaged by Toolbox sabotages take 30/45/60 seconds longer to self-repair.
Dead Hard: Removes the requirement of being injured.
No Mither: You suffer constantly from the “Beaten In” status effect, which has the same effect as Exposed but activates Perks triggered by being injured. While injured or dying, grunts of pain are reduced by 30/40/50% at any time. Grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State. While recovering and staying still, your bleedout meter does not go down. If you survive the trial, you get a bonus 15/20/25 Iridescent Shards (thanks @Nickenzie)
Vigil: You and all allies within an 8 meter range recover from all status effects 10/15/20% quicker. Players affected by Vigil recover from Exhaustion while running at 10/20/30% the normal recovery rate. TIER 3 ONLY: Your allies within an 8 meter range are granted immunity to the Exposed status effect.
-Vigil stacks are multiplicative, not additive.Resilience: Increases ANY AND ALL action/prop interaction speeds by 5/7/10% while injured.

The counter to face camping is either borrowed time or doing gens, I wish they would bring the firecrackers back but I think they are only around New Years, I do agree that survivors need other items for saving team mates, now I know nobody is entitled to a free rescue but flashlights are overused and have become annoying to the point killers want them nerfed when the real answer should be to give more than that item option as a CHANCE to rescue , no guarantee if whatever it is isn’t used properly and nothing you can troll the killer with outside of trying to get a rescue and if you fail it goes away so in a sense you could waste the item easily but if it works you get rewarded and it should be that way because it’s a team game where you try to help everyone survive if possible while taking the risk of dying yourself in some situationsfeffrey said:I was thinking it would be nice to have decoy items for survivors so they'll be able to make a quick save if needed

That’s just the style you are playing , you have to know when you’ve lost a chase sometimes and go protect those gens, you said yourself just now by the time you get him there are two gens left which means you’re falling into his mind game and not playing your own for long enough for 3 gens to get done under your nose, if he’s injured commit and make him use all the pallets so his team have none left without wasting a whole match I promise there are counters to any problem you’re having and I’m not hating because I’m not the best killer, there’s been some games I’m teabagged at the exit and some where all four are hooked in the basement at once, I’ve casually made it to rank 5 as a killer even though I main as a survivor.KillingInstinct said:@lyric said:

so, you got bashed in one game? one game out of what? 100? this dude literally had to know each pallet spawn of the map. why did u go after him if u knew he was able to loop you for long time? make bad survivors instantly drop all the safe pallets and then go after the good ones
^^^ this guy right here gets it
make them waste those pallets and leave no safe zones, or you could just play the clown and throw the bottle in the pallet area when the loop starts, I promise you they will quit looping and look for another safe zone in that situationGuys! I know how to play killer and already do everything you guys tell me to do xD I always leave the distractor till the end. IT's just that survivors have so much power that almost all 4 survivors become the distractors xD. The game is too short to even deal with one of those survivors. If u do and you get him, there are only 2 gens left to repair. The game is too much in survivors favor...that doesn't sound very asymmetrical to me.

We’re gonna live forever does do something though, when you’re getting hooked people who run that will body block for the points, unhook you or take a hit to drag the killer off you in a chase and get the stackable tokens. The only reason I’m against the other part is because it’s almost just like a watered down kindred perk.KingArthanal said:compared to BBQ, we‘re gonna live forever is far worse with giving no game advantage. It just gives points and nothing more. BBQ was made to give the killer the incentive to hunt for other survivors instead of camping. We’re gonna live forever should work in the same way and makes camping less rewarding.
youre gonna be able to see killer for the next 5 sec. When he doesn’t leave a 36 yards area around the hooked survivor in the next 10 seconds.
in this case the killer have a really fair amount of time to leave the area without getting detected and only help survivor in rare case he’s facecamping or proxy camping. Another advantage is that this doesn’t buff SWF in any way and only random groups with no communication.
youre free to leave your suggestion but stay kind so far. -

I’m a survivor main and I say it needs to stay nerfed as is in the new patch, why should you get a extra boost in a chase if you just had one forty seconds before that? I don’t run ds or any exhaustion crutches and I do just fine. Point being Nobody should want to just initiate a chase with a serial killer because they know they have a get out of jail free card that keeps coming back, it’s a slasher game so if you purposely want to “run the killer around “ you deserve to rot on the hook.Swiftblade131 said:Survivors keep complaining about the exhaustion "nerf", when its really a balance, but fine whatever.
How does this sound then?
Exhaustion can go on cool down if you are running, but only if you are not in chase. So regardless it will be on cool down like normal.
However, if you enter a chase and run, it will stop the cool down. Walking would proceed with the cool down though, even during chase, as it is now.
Would this make you happy? Or is there only one extreme for you guys?

I’m not talking about hugging objects for a hot few seconds to dodge a chainsaw charge. I’m talking about extended looping sessions.lyric said:
My only argument to that is if you don’t actually hit the survivor then why should they be punished for you swinging at the wrong time? Hugging around objects is sometimes a good way to evade the killers like the hillbilly and if someone is juking you in a thicket of trees is that more legit than pallet looping to you? Looping and camping are both a strategy in the game, and if we’re talking about hit boxes how about when a survivor is like 6 feet on the other side of the window and gets hit or slams a pallet and takes a shot whenever it’s already down and you’re a whole pallet length away? If you increase the hit box there would be no way to legit juke and the BS hits that shouldn’t happen sometimes will happen way more, also looping would be a way bigger problem, now if they can give you what you want without making some of those situations more BS than they already are than I’m all for it if it truly balances the gameSovererignKing said:Change Bloodlust to give speed boost at a faster rate, but at lesser value. This would negate the collision box differences between Survivors and Killers. Survivors using the smaller collision to “hug” objects close to preform tighter and therefore faster circles around objects would be negated by the fact the Killer is still fast enough that the collision box abuse is negated.
Heres the difference between Looping and Camping : Camping has a negative draw back that all other Survivors have free reign of the map to do whatever they please.
Looping has no draw backs at all. It’s pure positive. The survivors fail state is being found by the Killer. Looping the Killer turns that failure into a win scenario.
As Survivor, You win if the Killer can’t find you. However you still win if you just Loop them. As Killer, you lose if you can’t find them, you still loose if you get looped.
Juking in a thicket of woods is alright, but you shouldn’t be doing that for more than 20 seconds. The focus should be losing the Killer, not running them around like a kite on a string.
Mad for the hit boxes, the issue you’re having is latency. It’s not your connection, it’s the Killer’s your connected to.
Though to be frank, I didn’t say adjust the hit box sizes. I said change blood lust. We’re you talking to @Acromio?
I may have thought you said it but I can agree you should be trying to lose the killer instead of running around trying to troll I interpreted the whole hit box increase as someone was swinging too early and got mad because they missed or got 360 and lost the survivor, like I was saying though it could be a connection issue with my problem or maybe even a lag switch but there’s no reason why I should get down if I’m already through a pallet or window and running away Then from nowhere get hit from the other side of the pallet far enough that when they break it they still have to take a few more steps to pick me up once they’re through itSovererignKing said:

Well I guess I can see why you wouldn’t take what anyone says as a fact but I’m just trying to explain a legit issue I’m having and no it’s not all the time and it’s possible it could be the killer connection but it is a issue that should be looked into if we’re talking about increasing hit boxes. Maybe they should make a connection requirement to be a killer in the game? I know it’s not good to leave certain players out but I’ll bet a lot of the problems some people report would go away if they made a connection requirement for the hostOrion said:@lyric said:
Which you doubt? Sorry if I don't take what you say at face value and actually require evidence for your claims.

But it legit is a normal scenario playing on PS4 it really is a problem , I’m not talking about the moments where you get hit at the same time I’m talking about after the pallet is already down. I bet I could go home after work and have it happen at least 3-4 times even with having top grade internet, if we can increase the hit box without those moments becoming more BS than they are I’m all for it as I saidRecord it and post your ISP and location (just the country, obviously), as well as the Killer's location (again, just the country). Connections are two-way, so even if your Internet is "top grade" (which I doubt, TBH), there's a chance the Killer's isn't.

You know that's true, so why are you trying to make it sound like a normal scenario? As for pallets, they can get hit at the same time as they drop the pallet. I see no problem with this - you got a stun, the Killer got a hit. Don't be greedy with the pallet and you might just not get hit.

Really? I thought vigil would be a more common perk since it would allow you to continue to recover exhaustion even if running, is there something I missed or a change they made?Ivy said:Unfortunately this change makes vigil dog #########. -
If you piss the killer off it doesn’t matter what perks they are running, sometimes they will just camp anyway is why I said I don’t care if they camp or not , if someone wants to camp for any reason they will, I agree with most of what you said but I still think NOED should be reworked it’s a ######### killers last resort just like they complain about DS for survivorsItsDaEmuDood said:@lyric said:

Just turn Hex perks into normal perks. Problem solved.
No way that would be way too OP. Especially devour hope
Increase the amount of required hook rescues to 3/5/7 and it´s not more OP.
Devour Hope would guarantee that the killer leaves the hook.
Do you consider any other Hex perks OP? Maybe the third seal?
I don’t consider any hex perks OP really besides NOED, but not being able to break a devour hope as is right now would be terrible. I really don’t care whether they leave the hook or not to be honest, only because then all the generators would get repaired if they decide not to
It's pretty much a guarantee that they leave the hook. If they don't, what's the point of even having the damn perk. Third Seal is just a disturbance, and easily countered by SWF, and even for the Solo Survivor, as long as you know where the gens are, and look in the general direction of a hook, it won't be a problem. NOED is strong, but it's late game, so you'll need to bait people into going for the save, and once they realize that you've got NOED, they'll probably just leave. Devour Hope is strong, but takes a lot of build up, but once you get to 3 tokens, you can end the game right there. Huntress Lullaby shouldn't be a Hex, and is underpowered because it is one. Ruin is pretty much a staple, but gets destroyed way too early. Thrill is good if you're farming, just need extra Bloodpoints, or really wanna protect your totems without camping too hard, and sometimes I think if you reduce the amount of Bloodpoints you gain, you don't need it to be a Hex.
“survivors think they should just get free escapes”
”DS is a crutch for when a survivor needs that extra bar to get away”
“I chased ONE guy the WHOLE match and when I finally got him he DS, it’s just cancer and doesn’t deserve to exist”
I don’t really care if DS is even in the game or not because I don’t run it but you can compare some of those statements to NOED and it fits right in
“killers think they deserve a free kill when they sucked the entire match”
”NOED is a crutch so the killer can get at least one person”
”The killer didn’t catch me the whole match and right when I was running through the open gate he had NOED, it’s cancer he didn’t deserve that kill”
See the similarities? I’m not saying take it away but it needs reworked to something like each hit you land on a survivor after the last generator is popped builds a token and after three tokens you can mori anyone afterwards ,so if you down a survivor and his friends try to block then you will already have the tokens to a mori and you downed a survivor to earn it and if they are SWF you can more than likely take another down with you By implementing the exposed effect to anyone who unhooks a survivor after the last generator is popped along with that

I can agree with that, I get why killer mains get upset about the totems because about 75% of the time someone spawns right in front of it, but say the other survivors got the exposed effect for not breaking the totem, it should give the killer some security knowing for the next 40 seconds he can one hit down three of the survivors and giving the ability to re-place your totem would ensure you didn’t just waste a perk slotRuniver said:I'll answer the usual :
Punishing someone for destroying the hex totem is a rather bad idea.
You'd better put a malus on players that DIDN'T.
