I am not a fan of his "safely plink you with 2 knives, rinse and repeat until you go down" play pattern.
I love his machine gun style, with 44 knives it feels balanced and not oppressive but maybe that's also why people are so safe and boring with him.
-
I enjoy tough games if they are played respectfully.
By tough I mean I have the illusion of a winning chance, aka I roll Midwich and not Mothers Dwelling.
-
Doc and Hag are the 2 killers who draw out games, if you dont like that switch killers.
I personally lose the will to play if a match drags on like that unless I specifically want to spite you personally, so I play faster killers with no or little slowdown.
With the introduction of Boon totems, Doc and Hags ability to force stalemates is kinda worthless if you ask me. You only win against such a team is if they get bored and commit suicide.
-
This place constantly has laughably bad takes, what makes tomorrow special?
-
Jeryl for survivor, and Neon Artist Susie
-
Nah.
-
Nice to see Plague get some recognition. I think she would be quite good on last gen, especially with Prayer Tablet. Survivors injure themselves for you even if you're lagging.
-
I like going against Nurse and Spirit. Twins if I'm not solo.
Can't say I care for Dream Snare Freddy, Ghostface, Wraith, and the Chainsaw Bros. I despise Hag and Blight.
-
I'm a converted believer in No Way Out and Fearmonger.
To facilitate and encourage No Way Out, I believe BBQ has a place even in todays age of the Shadowstep.
BBQ and Lethal Pursuer are the lynchpins that make my No Way Out+Noed combo pop off.
I think typical slowdown such as Pop is overrated
-
Killer made a gamble and it paid off. Fair if you ask me.
Now instead of an exit gate, if it were you on a hook yeah that can be really #########.
Had a game of Twins where I hooked someone outside, and just body locked the door with Xharlotte and blocked the other with Victor.
-
BHVR doesnt know how to balance Nurse so her NEGATIVE bugs are considered part of her skill ceiling.
If we fix her shes probably need a hard nerf and other killers would need to be buffed unless we wanna see blight 24/7, or heaven forbid we start seeing Hag.
I suppose with how few people play and main Nurse, her current state is acceptable.
-
From my killer experience, it has a decent chance of working. Then again, I play with Fearmonger a fair bit these days so I sometimes forget DH exists. I sometimes get 4 DHs and might confirm only 1 DH some games lol
I only do it one time for the most part.
As a survivor, I struggle to time my DH to the swing anyway so it's kinda irrelevant to me.
-
My surv Q in the morning is literally instant, and at high noon my Q is 30 seconds.
I think when the sun sets, it becomes too spooky to play killer.
Because even if most people are SWF, that should make it easy to find a game because killer draws impatient people who dont wanna deal with the long survivor Q so even survivor should theoretically be fast...

Why we have no Ada is a complete mystery.
The fact we got JILL VALENTINE and no beret is honestly mind blowing to me.
RE 1 is iconic Jill

They nerfed that jerk? Finally.
Of all the killer terror radiuses, his made the least amount of sense. How you gonna have a ranged killer with normal movement speed and have a terror radius that's practically non existent until he's in range to shoot you. Hated him since launch so whatever nerf he got, he deserved it
I agree, his TR made 0 sense but a slight correction; slinger does not have normal movespeed.
Hes got a leg brace.
-
Let's just make his terror radius global. A man with a gun is pretty scary.
-
The Artist?
Pretty sure Jeff's not a killer.

Much truth here, sadly. Wonder how many peeps we lost because of that patch, and if any returned.
That chapter brought in so many people, and I bet none of those people even played RPD once before they quit.
-
I think the Plague is awesome.
-
Had a Lisa today 4% on her 2nd stage hook.
The cheating is so subtle I cant help but doubt myself and just assume I'm boosted or I'm just not understanding something.
I suspected she may have been a cheater so I changed my mind and decided to proxy camp her, but as I turn around shes off the hook and running, but nobody else was there. I thought for sure I was just Blendetted but there was no way.
-
I'm not sold on Corrupt only from the gameplay pattern that I tend to see in my lobbies, but my personal thoughts aside yeah that seems good.
-
Blights already busted so an OP addon will hardly make a difference.
-
Yeah, I gotta say one of my biggest gripes in Dbd is the mismatch of...intent on both sides.
When I want to mess around I get toxic transphobic bubba, so I go all out and then the next killer is serving drinks in the Ormond bar.
I am the kind of person who craves consistency.

Isn't Distortion just like
obsolete now that Shadowstep exists? Most aura reading is either predictable enough to avoid or so frequent you'd burn through tokens like I burn through fries.
Believe it or not, but nah.
SS doesnt reveal any info to survivors; Distortion/Object let's you reveal info to other survivors.
-
Franklins and Hoarder are both overrated. Franklin's more so than Hoarder.
Hoarder is decent but very map dependent.

Given you did not quote anyone, I'll assume you were responding to me, the OP.
'Leaving people on the floor to bleed out isnt fun and you deserve whatever endgame chat follows.'
- Look at that excuse to be toxic and mean. You set an standard that no one has to follow, then decided 'It's okay to be a dick if someone breaks this made-up rule'. This is the exact toxic self-excusing bullshit I'm talking about.
- I never once said anything about slugging, so I don't know where this even came from?
Killers have a right to 4k, so you have a right to leave survivors slugged on the floor to bleed out. But others have a right to call you out on being so scared to eat a DS or whatever that the killer feels the need to waste everybody's time with.
-
Leaving people on the floor to bleed out isnt fun and you deserve whatever endgame chat follows.
I'm not saying we aren't allowed to do this, but rather I think with the way the game is structured, therea really nothing you can do but just accept the insults.
Being forced to take a pee break mid game isnt exciting gameplay behavior so I'd like something to be done, like maybe implementing a Cowards Way Out if all alive survivors are bleeding out.
That's basically the only thing I have an issue with.
-
There's one killer, and 4 survivors.
Why do you think they need to be 1:1 in every area?
-
If perks barely did much, then there d be even less reason to not run the best I think.
I dont think we could touch perks without touching addons, and if killers like Pyramid Head are anything to go by, having weak or insignificant addons makes people burn out that much faster compared to a bottom barrel killer like Myers who just never goes away because there'stons of interesting loadouts for him.
-
Fearmonger is way better and will actually shut down DH, especially if you run Tinkerer.
I would like to see Blood Echoes' cooldown removed, though.
-
As a power, no.
As a passive free bonus like Freddy invisibility/ Spirit passive phase? Sure.

So you think if a Killer gets 0 hooks in the trial prior to 5 gens being done but gets a 2K because of NOED it's fair?
Because that doesn't seem fair to anyone.
A bubba or infinite tier 3 Myers can reproduce the same result with no noed needed.
Yet were not changing Bubba any time soon...
-
I love noed. It makes me more likely to spread out my hooks and only tunnel 1 survivor at the most.
When I run Noed, I go into a match wanting early game snowball so you dont have time to cleanse which is why lethal-->BBQ is my standard setup..
I go against 16 perks and I choose to save one of my 4 perks for a time that I prefer. That's one slot that could have went to tinkerer...
I laugh when people call noed a crutch perk just because it's an end game perk.
If you run aura perks, you must be bad too. Just find stuff/people. Run chase perks? You must be a bad chaser. Run gen regression? You must be bad and cant apply any pressure etc.
I'm not giving up just because all the gens popped. You have to actually leave the trial before you win.
The Entity loves Noed gamers because we fill Survivors with hope. They get so close to salvation, only to be robbed and filled with despair.
I enjoy playing with my food.
-
I do just fine with my comfort killers.
Its stressful but I still get the job done. I have a lot of misdeeds on my conscience but I've survived the killerpocalypse.
-
If you wanna play tough, then act tough. I cant stand when people on either side go all out and then cant handle a counter punch.
Its human nature to apply different rules than to yourself, so all we can do is not let it bother us.
Put up a Strode Key, and you'll be decorating my Christmas Tree. That's only fair. When this happens when I play survivor, I get ready for the worst and the only person I blame for the match is the BL user lol
-
People always have fun whenever they just buy twins
You might even convince yourself you'll be the one twins player that never ever slugs or ever ever hook camps
-
Twins was the new killer when I started so twins is "default Dbd music" to me
I think legion, demo pyramid head and slinger are the coolest
-
Laughs in base kit dead hard
-
Being a Deliverance gamer seems like suffering.
-
You don't need to camp, just be a boss gamer and run noed.
Camping gets talked about a lot because why work hard for the fabled 2k 2e when you get a guaranteed free incontestable 1k with a single Down as bubba? It makes us honest killers look like complete idiots when we play normally and struggle to get 1k after spreading out hooks
-
Boons on multiple levels really is ez mode
Like, Old Spirit Mindgame levels of ez mode
-
How can you fix something that you cant see?
-
If that were true, our Laurie's would probably be posting on reddit or Myspace or something.

Yes 100%. Fun should never be a metric for objective balance
The focus on objective balance over fun kinda killed Overwatch for many people.
I'd hate to see the same happen to the party game dbd that was never meant to be a competitive esports game

I don't know why y'all are humoring gen defence anymore. Against good survivors, the gens are getting done no matter what. If you want an annoying gen build that actually consistently does anything: Corrupt/Deadlock. It'll turn your 5-minute/5 gens into 7-minute/5 gens.
@Barbarossa2020 said:
The best regression i've found is killing survivors.
Can't repair when your dead.
There is little value in kicking a gen unless you can be 100% certain no one is around to insta fix it.
You guys are indeed right, this is why I'm a noed main. I just want to switchthings up and lose as slowly as possible instead.
In the next year I'm hoping to have a full Boon and Scourge Hook build as well
-
Susie's theme being Intracerebral Trance would be an interesting nod to Yuno from Future Diary, and it would be funny to imagine Frank being a pathetic wet towel.
-
It's asign of a small pp. Better off using that time to go smoke or use the bathroom.
As an adult with a life and a job, I can't tolerate people who waste time like that.
-
If the shoe were on the other foot, the other survivor would likely leave you to die.
Solo q may as well be a battle royale, where alliances are negotiated but often betrayed when convenient.
Those Bills are an exception.
