It's not so much toxic survivors or toxic killers, but moreover toxic people. A side doesn't make someone more toxic, yet the behaviour of the individuals and attitude does.
Prime examples was in 2 matches yesterday I played survivor twice. First trial contained a Doctor with the accuracy of a cannonball. He contiuously missed hit after hit on all survivors, then messaged everyone saying they all had bad internet. The second was I was on 2nd hook at Midwich. The other final survivor, who was at most 2 rooms away from me, hid in a locker for the entirity of the phase when I could have been saved (the killer did not camp at all) and then got pissy I didn't kill myself so they could get the hatch when I didn't kill myself (Trapper got the hatch before him).
If someone is going to be a reject, the side doesn't matter.
Unfortunately that is true I feel for you man hate people who just go into locker and expect match at the end...if you cant do gens at least lead the killer away

wait till the hype to try this crappy killer out wears off it be back to normal in no time before the release of this killer wait time for survivor took a long time there will again.
Just ran into a hacked PC killer with trickster with Victor's running speed and no cool down on his swings 3 minutes into the match he hooked 2 people and downed me nice to see this crap still continues unfortunately I wasn't recording so no vid🤨 is there still a way to report this

I demolished an swf on ormond as clown so bad that two dc and one did it to let the last guy get hatch I proceeded to get abused in messages well I found that person again both dc'rs actually and I proceeded to facecamp both of them and the one who sent abuse dc again
Survivors shouldn't talk trash to killers who genuinely are playing in the most normal way because at least for me if I see that player again I'm going to mori and/or facecamp.
Therapeutic I applaud you good sir😎

long load time for survivors? EVERYBODY is playing trickster right now survivor Qs are next pretty fast. Depipping won't help you either, you will still get 3man SWF red/purple and a smurph 17 no matter what rank your at
Which is garbage I don't want sweaty teams but when I play survivor swear I get all brown ranks who would rather hide than do a gen

I mean just the other day a blight called me a the F slur. Toxicity comes from both sides. This is why I have my chat hidden now.
Yeah I have received some racist comments after the match as well don't know what my race has to do with playing killer but it happens...report it to your mods get them banned

Blight was meh, Halloween was slated, Twins are hated, Trickster is junk. They're on roll lol. They really need to get it right for chapter 20 5th anniversary.
I actually didnt mind blight and the twins aren't as bad as trickster at least i can get hooks with them bit man trickster needs some buffs bad

I personally feel like Oni, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Blight and Twins were all wastes of money. Although I managed to get all their Adepts, I never went back to them.
But I've avoided the K-Pooper. And it he's a waste of SHARDS, I'm sure glad I didn't use cells or spend money on the chapter.
Out of curiosity y do you feel the killers you mentioned are waste of shards?
-
@Mat_Sella said:
Starstruck is definitely not a waste of shards, it instantly puts respect on your name as any killer, especially when you decide to carry your survivor towards a partially completed gen. If they stick around they are one-shot, otherwise, they are scared and have to move across the map abandoning the survivor.
9000 shards for 1 perk though that sound right?
-
@Irisora said:
At least the perks are decent this time and not like the ones from Charlotte..
Its pretty sad but yeah it feels all I did was buy his perks and nothing else right now

Well, you do get his perks, all of which I like. I hate hag but I would definitely buy her for her perks, so I did.
Hag is leagues above the trickster though

If you're a sweatlord PC gamer, and you haven't figured this out yet--turn off your crossplay. Not only are queue times faster during most hours of the day, but your teammates actually come with their heads attached.
Please do this I want to play casually in my green rank status

You can play 2 killer matches for 1 survivor game minimum and not waste time and you make queues for other people shorter by not being selfish its win win

what you are thinking is if there is a network disconnect during MATCH LOAD you will not get a ban, but once the game starts it is there if you intentionally dc or even a network dc.
thing is if he can't take a loss then why is he playing? sure it might be a bad game but it's problematic when people just quit because they think they will not get a fun game. some games are not fun at all, some are great fun, if you pick and choose who knows what you'll miss out on!
I asked him he says if they can last minute switch y cant I switch my perks around...assume he was going to use Franklin's which he has a fair point but in all cases I think he just wanted to play a coop couch game since his bros were playing left 4 dead 2 on the other tv🤣
-
He couldn't though it was a last minute switch and then the game went to the loading screen and yeah it was intentional he didn't want to deal with the key I guess

What’s even funnier is that when more than one person is in the lobby decides on carrying a torch how could they NOT think that I’d equip lightborn? I’m sure plenty of killers wouldn’t, but even one is practically begging for either it Franklin’s. Lol.
Even funnier when more than one tries to blind you maybe it's the angle that's wrong it cant be lightborn😛

Agreed, not sure how to address the issue of deliberately unhelpful teammates though...anti-altruism! Probably needs to be a points penalty if the game could work out that it was perfectly easy to save someone, the team just didn't bother.
I think just the abandoned icon that shows up is all that happens...if a killer isn't camping your teammate rescue them don't you want another meat shield I mean person helping you with gens😂

@DecisiveDwight said:
I have a few reasons for this some I'm not exactly happy about but it happens and I get over it.
1. Killer is spirit and they tunnel and camp
2. Killer is Freddy this isn't all Freddy players just ones that get really bad hits on you.
3. Bad teamates
4. Killers leave me slugged for no reason
5. I'm having a bad day and every little thing irritates me
6. Key holding hatch campers especially claudettes
7. SWF sweat and bully squads
8. 4 torches in a game
9. Survivors switching last second to characters with obvious high powered items
10. Pigs wearing that cream leather jacket on cold wind she aint got no business blending like that
For number 8 you can always lobby dodge or use lightborn for number nine I just wait in a corner last minute item switch and I cant do anything rather sit there you get no chase points and I play phone games...your clicking and jumping pallets doesn't make me care enough😂

Slugging for the 4k is always a sorry ass move, but even more so when half the team has dced.
At that point it is a killer win no need to keep playing a sweaty killer

The only d/c I’ve had recently while playing killer was a Laurie Strode that tried to flashlight blind me while I was using Lightborn and was promptly hooked. Probably the only way this troll knew how to play. Probably also doubly mad that another player did an unsafe hook and he wasn’t running ds. Either way it made me laugh.
Rank 4 survivor.
Even more fun when you use lightborn with the wraith🤣 reminds me of that Simpsons meme it's not working shake harder boy

@SpiritedSalsa said:
I haven't had the game too long, but recently I've seen a few situations where I'm not sure if there's an internet issue causing a player to DC, or if it was intentional. I really wanted to help this Ace who was on his first hook. There was enough clear ground and the Killer was on a different part of the map, so no camping or proxying. The Ace in less than a second obliterated himself on the hook when I was so close to getting the save. He was new, so I wanted to heal him and then we could work on a gen. Another time recently, a fellow Survivor DC'd after being downed. I'd been downed too, but got saved, etc. A trolling situation happened where all 3 Survivors abandoned me and me and a Wraith just farmed points. (He downed me, got hits on me, let me wiggle out, then let me do a gen and finally gave me hatch). The DC's on purpose aren't my favoriite. If someone I see DC's after a down, I almost wish I could tell them that they have a chance of either getting healed if the killer is distracted, or getting saved from the hook before they enter the 2nd phase. I've even had times where I just wanted to DC, but I'm taking each loss as a learning curve and changing around my perks and enjoying the wins. Both losses and wins for me matter. The DC seems to be out of frustration that they weren't given a chance, at least in the games I've been in where I've seen it. Even killers have done it. I understand both sides. Again, there's definitely many reasons why someone does it and some even accidental. It happens more in Solo.
Most new players seem to DC because they get found and tunneled first and if it's solo play they just give up hope
-
@Hussein said:
I usually play survivor and rarely ever DC. Other than internet connection loss, I've only DCed once and that was because my teammates screwed me over. I was on a gen, clown chased me and downed me. He then put me in the basement. I was left on the hook almost the entire time, where I was about to die on the second phase. When they finally unhooked me, clown was right behind them. I managed to just get outside the killer shack, but then the clown downed me again. I went underneath a pallet, then my teammate dropped the pallet on me and ran away. Clown was about to put me on death hook and so I DCed. I would've only gotten 3-4k BP anyway, so I'd rather DC than give the clown BP for hooking me.
But generally it is annoying when people DC just because they dislike a map or killer, because then it puts more pressure on the rest of the survivors. Once someone DCs, it's very rare that we are able to escape.
That is y some killers just take the time to play it as a warm up match and let at least one person get hatch...getting left on hook until second hook phase sucks and is one of the worst things about playing solo queues

Yeah it is just unfortunate that people feel the need to DC for whatever reason and it makes things that much harder for everyone else. I am still learning the game but I never DC no matter how hard it may seem. I survivor main but wow in the last two days I have seen things like people in corners doing nothing but bagging each other instead of doing something, every other game players quitting, and my favy running right to me while on the hook with the killer in tow LOL.
Without borrowed time unhooking you farming I bet🤨

So did you just find a corner and chilled? Yeah gens are done way to quickly

Thank you yeah, I just instinctively ran to a gen but the killer hit me, picked me and dropped me off at the hatch so that was cool of them. Which is what I would have done as a killer.
Yeah at least you both got to move on quickly

This is the SINGLE worst part of the game. I dont care about rank one killers, or rank one survivors,,,I care that I got into 9 games last night and at least half of them had someone or multiple players DC right after they got hit or hooked???? They seem to be all console players. Now, I am not singling them out but there just were a lot of them. One match three players did it leaving me alone LOL. It makes me not want to play. So DEVS if you want less players then keep handing out 20 min bans.
Feel for you did you power through the game?
-
@Zarathos said:
Iri head huntress hatchets and 4 man slugs tend to trigger the most dcs. That's the most consistent I have gotten dcs. Apart from that early downs or not wanting to farm. If there claudette's the chance increases dramatically don't know why tbh?
As long as u don't let them bleed out that is always annoying 🤣

@ToxicPCPlayers_Sigh said:
Not really Dcing but when I see SWF or PC players in the pre game menu I dip. My general experience from PC players is toxicity, (running around slamming every palet on you, constant flashlight stuns, teabagging at exit and after every stun, generally not a fun experience at all, personally feel like toxic things like that should be reportable but I digress. My last full on DC was on my first game with me using the Blight, with some cross platform players, 3 gens done in 2 minutes no thank you.
That is y I turn off crossplay...much smoother experience
-
@Jyn_Mojito said:
I only DC when I'm rubber banding- like vaulting a pallet, only to wind up at the beginning and get smacked by the Killer. Running while rubber banding also gives me motion sickness, so I will throw in the towel.
Reasonable enough some people say that is y they can't play nurse as well

Really tempted to DC but then that is a win for them

So if you stare at a wall they can't earn points? Good to know, I'll do that from now on.
Usually where the exit gates are there is a little corner to the left or right just nudge in that corner with your back to them no killer light means no chase you will see scratch marks around but receive no chase or chase lost messages🤣

They can try all they want, but I'm AFK and their game ended the moment I went AFK.
They could consider it a win, or what they want, but as a killer I got complete control over the match.
If the game It's not being fun I can completely shut it down by going AFK and then, the match is over.
When you are the killer, you rule over the match.
I do the same when it's a sweaty swf and haven't gotten a kill by the time there are 2 gens left no hooks and I don't have a solid 3 gen strategy left...stare at the corner so they don't get chase points and play on my phone...just hear the clicky click behind me or the pallet drop into vault endlessly🤣
-
@oh_salutations said:
I only D/C sparingly (maybe 4-5 times a year) usually if its something dumb like a huntress hatchet going thru a wall and a nurse that stood 16 meters away blink when I got unhooked put me on a hook then proceed to stand where she did before with still 5 gens left
I once had a bug in the swamp was downed a dwight on the ship and they got stuck on the steps down to the killer shack picked him up and we were both stuck for the whole game he couldn't struggle and I couldn't move pass the step he was downed...he DC'ed I still couldnt get out and had to sit there waiting for the game to end
-
@sad_killer_main said:
As killer, if I face speedrunner I don't DC because I'd get no BPs... I just go afk, since there are no penalties for going AFK.
I go AFK, browse some internet and wait until the game it's done.
If they didn't make the game fun for me, I'm not gonna make it fun for them either.
Seems like they try and get your attention more in those instances

Yeah, it's only Doc. It's not really painful or anything. Definitely not something to complain about (in my case, at least). The effect is like the visual equivalent to nails on a chalkboard. Most of the time I can bear it, but other times it's just too irritating, especially when I'm getting shocked continuously. Like, I remember one Doc just spammed his power during a chase. Not sure if he was trolling or just getting a feel for the power, but I had to go, lmao.
Maybe a daily challenge or wanted to max his shock points

There's a multitude of reasons a player of this game dcs. The most commonly used exscuse is "I que'd knowing full and well I had to be somewhere in less than five minutes." But I've seen folks dodge games for a plethora of reasons of " I don't like [BLANK]". It could be the killer, a map, a specific perk, one of the other survivors, the vibe, the killer, the way their pants are chafing, its not Pyramid Head, it is Pyramid Head, its the Doctor, its a killer they don't like or just because. It has nothing to do with you there will always be a reason, and no matter how many soft bans they get they'll keep doing it.
Fun for killer feel bad for survivors they should get a BP bonus or a free gen done

Can't deal with getting outplayed I guess, so they'd rather have a 5 minute ban, lose thier items, offerings and add-ons, de-pip and not get any bloodpoints for that round.
Having said that, I would more than likely DC if I had gathered proof and evidence of hacking from either teammates or the killer. No point in giving hackers extra BP.
I'd rather eat the negatives than have a hacker running loose in my game.
Seems hackers happen more on PC that is y I turn crossplay off when i play killer
