Answering the question, I don't think so. For me, anti-tunnel are effects that you provide to yourself DS is the prime example.
For the People is more akin to BT, both are altruistic perks with strong effects. Furthermore, FTP requires some degree of coordination to be effective.
-
Fabulous! I can't contain my tears.
On a side note, did someone send a welfare check just in case it was a stroke?
-
What do you mean by community? Forums? The general population that you find in pre/post-game chat? During a match?
If you're talking about the forums, it's because people tend to be a lot more vocal about negative experiences than positive ones.
-
Sure, let's make the killer more brain dead.

I believe Beast of Prey could give you undetectable after leaving a chase for 45 seconds and it ends when you get a hit. Maybe give it a 30 second cooldown inbetween.
Much rather have it get rid of just the Red Stain entirely and keep the TR whenever you are in chase.
-
You're missing the other possibility of the killer leaving so you can heal, take 2 hits and still have DS active.
-
It already does, and it needs to be changed.
The first impression the game gives to new players is through the tutorial: survivors win by escaping, killers win by killing everyone. Furthermore, the killer's Devout Emblem rewards Kill/DC/Sacrifice no matter the way you got it (camping, tunneling, 12 hooks). A killer that got 0 downs is almost as good as one that got 8 hooks and no kills and both are worse than a killer that camped 1 person to death and let the other 3 escape. Meanwhile, only the Unbroken emblem has one exemption criteria that reward escaping.
Change the focus of the game from kills to inflicting suffering through hooks. Change the tutorial from kills to hooks and modify the Devout Emblems to reward hooks and interchanging survivors and you have a much healthier game IMO. My suggestion:
Devout Emblem
-Each hook state counts as 0,5 point.
-Hooking a different survivor from the previous one awards a bonus of 0,25 point. First hook also gets this bonus.
-Kill, and DC counts as applying the remaining hooks consecutively. Ex: a killer with H:DH mori a survivor that was never hooked. They will get 0,75 (first stage) + 0,5 (second stage) + 0,5 (third stage) as if they hooked them in succession.
-The last remaining point is awarded after reaching 9 hooks.
Bloodpoints
Introduce a score event the counts the streak that starts on the first non-consecutive survivor hooks with increasing BP rewards for the killer and resets if the killer hooks the same survivor.

no because you might as well just run bamboozle
One advantage of H:CC is that it can block multiple windows, making tiles like TL walls useless.
To answer the question: no, I am not really concerned about the new Hex, I am quite excited about it. Finding the totem will become a matter of resource efficiency for the team and it might bring more complexity to the game.
-
Report using the tool in the postmatch chat. If you need visual evidence such as images or videos, make sure to upload them and put the link in the report.
-
ATM the Devout Emblem award 2 points for kill/sacrifice/DC, it doesn't matter if someone died in 1 hook or 3. It also doesn't reward killers that alternate hooks between survivors. <== this is the point the devs can easily improve to destimulate camping and tunneling.
-
DS banned = tunnel/camp week.
-
Oh lord no. Don't bring it back.

I know. League of Legends actually has taunt emotes.
I really think that DBD would be better off it the Devs sold taunt emotes in the shop. The more abilities to taunt, the less people care about it. To many players with thin skins.
Lack of communication is one of the charms of this game for me. :D

You ever took a dive into the toxic wasteland of League of Legends?

The only thing I don't like about the TR requirement is how unreliable Stakeout can be against Stealth killers.

Ds's might have fell from its throne though since at the highest level people used it as a invincibility shield with unbreakable to rush gens and remain safe.
As long as camping exists, DS will be there IMO. It's the kind of insurance perk that you equip not wanting to use unless you combo it with Deliverance or something.
-
Next match, I suggest you check for your emblem outputs and compare them with the link provided by @DawnMad.
There has been a bug confirmed for Devout Killer Emblems. If your match output is not consistent with the link you should make a bug report in the appropriate section of the forums. Best of luck.

IDK
But use 1 perk slot to get a BNP.
It sounds really really good for me even if playing solo.
DS+DH+fast track+BT/arua perk is a really great build for me.
The build sounds amazing. I usually keep 2/3 perks off-meta in my builds for variability. I suggest you combo it with Resilience and/or Stakeout too :D

Nurse main here with 1.5k hours.
It's a disability. Her strength is in her power. With it, i can usually end chases in < 10 seconds. Why would i use the movement speed boost when i can just blink on someone in a fraction of the time.
Against good survivors, it works once to catch them offguard, but after that it doesn't work anymore.
Not all add-ons need to be good, not all of them need to improve on existing fundamentals.
It exists for anyone who wants to play a normal killer with Nurse's power on a CD. That's all.

Remember how fast 2BNP match could be.
Now we have 3-4 BNP at 5 hooks and it is a perk not add-on.
I really can't see the reason why this perk would not be meta.
4 perk syndrome. To be meta a perk needs to debunk one of the top-performing perks. Fast Track will see play for organized gen rush SWF, just like Prove Thyself does. But it will never be as popular as one of the aforementioned perks bc it doesn't do something invaluable.
Suppose you DS a killer and extend a chase for 30 seconds (not unrealistic) before going down, the best-case scenario you got 3 teammates working on gens for 30 seconds, a net benefit of 90 seconds for the team. It is also not uncommon when bringing a full gen repair build (Prove Thyself, Resilience, etc) to be tunneled by the killer and get no values of your perks.
It's kinda difficult to translate the impact of chase perks to team efficiency, but they do create an invaluable impact on the game.
-
It's not a disability, it just changes her playstyle.
-
Devour Hope is versatile. You can strap it in any Build and be ok with it.
-
Sweet tears.
-
Unless you're going for a very specialized build fully dedicated to gen repair, it's not really worth it.
Meta perks are meta for a reason: they allow you to do something invaluable that you cannot otherwise. You can't pick yourself up without Unbreakable (No mither is a meme, Soul guard is unreliable), you can't stun a killer in his grasp without DS, you can't iframe without Dead Hard, etc.
Fast Track can come in clutch in some moments and it is a good perk, but I doubt that in the eyes of the community it will be meta.
-
I simply asked on the pre-chat match for help opening the hatch for a challenge and the team organized so we could get the achievement also. People can be quite cooperative if you just ask gently.
What's up with killers pointing fingers at people accusing them of being a SWF?
-
Hear me out:
Bear Trap: places a trap that will remain on the ground until disarmed. When stepped on by a survivor, the trap will restrain the survivor and summon a bear to maul them.

And as you can't communicate with them, they A. won't be as effective as a SWF and B. won't be able to tell if they are a SWF or not.
It's possible to check for SWF in the pre-game chat and as much as they cannot communicate with OP, they can coordinate actions between themselves.

Impossible skill checks Doc.

Yeah, and that's where the main balancing issue lays imo. However, I believe that we would see the meta slaves deviate slightly from the norm and the meta would become more versatile.
For example, if I really really wanted to win, I'd run Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, DS, and Unbreakable. But with DS getting nerfed, that's really not too bad. I have all the tools I need, but not much utility elsewhere. There are some diminishing returns here. So, I'd ditch DS and Borrowed Time or Unbreakable, and now I have 3 great perks and 2 free slots. Now I can synergize 2 perks together, such as Self Care + Botany, or Unbreakable + Tenacity, or just slap on some good and slept on standalone perks like Iron Will, WGLF, We'll Make It, Alert, Bond, whatever.
"Given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game."
-
The idea is good, but it would lead to too much homogeneity IMO.
the idea of allocating more slots to create unique builds is commendable, but for most of the community it would mean just equipping the 5th most powerful perk in the slot and that's it.
-
I mean, our Clown is passing gas and Pennywise is terrorizing kids.
-
He can still be matched with 2 or 3 SWFs.

no mither + soul guard.
you get endurance every time you get up, but you have no mither, so no one slugs you
Thanks, that sounds fun XD
-
Oh, I suggest you take this to the Bug section, or else the Streisand effect will lead to people abusing it.
-
The current rank system tries to match killer/survivors by rank but it loosens its priority the longer the people have been in queues. If you're getting instant queues with high-rank survivors, chances are that there is a drought of killers at the time you're playing.

I don't play to be "the good guy". I play to have fun, for myself, as I intended when I purchased the video game with my hard earned money. Winning, as it turns out, is fun for me.
I think @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe might be talking about the integrity of oneself in the face of toxicity, not the general way one plays.
-
It does, but atm it's bugged. Devs are looking into it.
-
-Experienced killers with game knowledge and tracking perks don't need to search for survivors either while having the lethality that Mah Boy Doc doesn't.
-His Shock Therapy anti-looping requires precision to be used and is often overused by many players attempting Mah Boy Doc. A good Doc will only shock you once and net a hit out of that. The issue is that no matter how good the player is, his kit lacks lethality and good survivors will know how to drag a match.
-No survivor worth their salt will miss skill checks frequently enough to slow down the game consistently. That's why Mah Boy Doc is much more effective in lower ranks and tiers poorly for the high-rank community.
-
I thought MMR was off.
-
You better just use Off the record instead of No Mither.
-
Oh lord no. Old ruin was the bane of inexperienced survivors.
