  • I wouldn't say killers need a nerf. They are ALL op right now, but that's because the devs overbalanced for SWF.

What needs to happen now is make every single survivor team an actual team, buff survivors by giving them voice comms. It is the only way to introduce a fairness in the lower ranks that isn't there right now.

  • This has everything to do with the event. It is easy to get all crowns on killer. It is easy to get more blood on killer. It is extremely easy to do well on killer unless you face a swf team.

It is hard to do well on survivor. Killers are camping and tunneling like never before, which takes how well you do completely out of your hands. Killers are acting like 4k every match is deserved. Killers target glowing survivors. Getting the crowns on survivor is hard. So why would anyone want to play survivor?

Two days ago I played every single killer that can get a crown. I got crowns on all of them on the first match but one (twins is bugged - end your match playing Charlotte or you can't get the crown), and I ALSO got adept trophies on most of them for the second time (PS5 adept trophies don't transfer from PS4).

Yesterday I worked on survivor crowns. I played ALL DAY. From around noon to 1 am. Breaking only a few times for meals etc. I still need 9 crowns.

The game is heavily balanced towards killer in ALMOST all situations. This event highlights that imbalance and makes it plain to everyone who is honest and doesn't have an agenda of trying to keep exploiting this imbalance. BHVR KNOW this information. They see the numbers. What they don't know is how to fix it so it's fair. That much is blatantly obvious. The only way to do this is to add survivor voice comms to the game. Then, and only then, can you even begin to come close to balance in the game.

  • This WAS a thing that was happening on PS5 after RE chapter, but they fixed it on Tuesday. At least for me and my son. We were having pallets flicker and such, but not anymore.

So, is it happening NOW? If so, this needs to be mentioned in the bugs section of the forums.

  • I had this same problem the first time I tried, and I did end the match as Victor that time. The second match I made sure to end as Charlotte as I'd guessed this was why, and it worked. I got my crown the second time. My son has also ended with a crown twice on Twins and still doesn't have the crown, though he isn't sure if he ended it with Victor both times or not. The first level I played as Twins on (the one with the failed crown) has the coal mine. The next level that I succeeded in getting the crown was Hawkins Lab.

    Platform: PS5

To recreate: End the match after successfully getting a crown. Might need to end the match as Victor to fail getting the crown in the end.

  • Nemesis was literally able to hit two pallet spaces away through a window! That needed to stop. Thankfully BHVR didn't intend that.

Now it's time to get rid of his aura reading of zombies. They already help with infecting and damage, he shouldn't also base kit be able to see when a survivor is near them from across the map. No other killer has that much power with no effort or cost on the player's part at all. This should be an iridescent add-on, not a base power.

He should also be slower than normal speed killers. He has a ranged attack that hits past pallets (and can break them) and over junk/debris, he shouldn't be faster than Huntress and Trickster. He is also slow in the RE games, so him being that much faster than the survivors is NOT in line with who he is.

To be fair, the Killer knowing where the hatch spawn is does nothing when there are two keys in the match.

I do agree with your second statement though, to an extent. I believe keys don't really need a nerf because it takes for Survivors to die/gens to be done for it to spawn. I think all that's really needed is a progress bar when opening and/or an animation so Killer has a "fair" chance. Also, the hatch being reverted to not closeable is unneeded considering Keys can open closed hatches.

Thanks for being reasonable. My point is, before endgame collapse, killers were in a horrible situation. With endgame collapse they were handed insta-death and they still whine about auto kill not being enough. I think BHVR should revert the endgame collapse for a week, so these new killer mains can see how big of a pain in the ass the hatch standoff was, and how whiny asking for something so controllable as nerfing a third exit is. If you don't want them to get the hatch, don't tunnel, and don't let them finish gens. Don't put the survivors in a position where it spawns, then they CAN'T use their keys! Viola!

  • If survivors choose where the hatch spawns they show you as well.

Keys don't need a nerf, unless the hatch is reverted to not closable.

  • I picked it up with Kate and escaped on PS5 and I can't find it in my customization.

My son also finished with David he is also on PS5 and he doesn't have it in customization either.

  • So, nobody else has gotten one? I guess 'hacker' was probably the right response.

Anyone know, what time does the festival start tomorrow?

The Dwight that brought it also brought a key and led the killer to us then the killer let him escape.

  • These are all great ideas. Definitely want to see the removal of the blood cap, the removal of tier one and two perks, and the reduction of the cost of everything.

I would also like to see the web removed. Make the leveling process after 50 a store, where you just buy in dialy-limited quantities items and add-ons that you like, and are no longer forced to buy trash that you will never use. Leftover perks could then be picked up as you want, too.

I'd also like to see the total removal of prestige tiers eating your progress, so you keep any perks and items you've bought in the prior tiers.

At his current state, Nemesis' zombies are a very minimal help. Granted that these zombies make up about half of his kit, the fact that zombies get MAYBE 1 or 2 hits each match (which is a generous guess) when used correctly, half of his kit super weak. I think that not only does the zombie AI need to be patched up, but should include either better stats or just a 3rd zombie.

    What do you all think?

No. Not unless he's slowed down, he loses the ability to see the zombies' auras, and his tentacle gets a trim.

  • The problem I have with Doc is that he is just annoying. A game against him means it is guaranteed to not be a fun match.

It is toxic to continually hit an already hooked survivor. It is also toxic to but dance at the exit gate. You are winning, why can't you be happy and proud of that without trying to rub your opponent's nose in it?

However, if you didn't already realize it by your first paragraph, survivors are the worst. Endgame chat is no exception. The bullies want you to feel bad even if you don't win.

So what I recommend you do is close the chat window, and NEVER look at it. They will message you outside the game, too. In this case they are likely to violate rules of companies that will enforce the rules harshly and immediately, so report and block those comms as you see fit.

After joining DbD I had to block ALL comms on Playstation, because of the toxic sore losers and sore winners. The survivors were by far the worst for this.

  • I did it for the trophy.

The blood web percent increase is a scam. The grind is a con game.

The cosmetics will get you camped and tunneled as survivor, and as killer with them you just get laughed at.

'You fell for it!' 'You wasted so much time!'

I have done every single challenge in every other level of every other Tome except the most recent one, for context. I know what all of the challenges are, and I know how garbage a lot of them are.

That said, BHVR, what the absolute flying ######### is this?!

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QHPS7C0DGA88/image.png

No, seriously, what the hell were you thinking when you designed this challenge? There's so many flaws in it that a high-rise apartment gets envious, swiss cheese craves the amount of holes this challenge has. What in the name of every known Deity is this?

    Yes, I'm angry.

EDIT: You all seem to be missing the fact this is solo survivor when matchmaking doesn't function

It's not fair, that's for sure, especially since you have to risk Discordance which just ruins this challenge completely.

It is not the worst, though. All of the survivor challenges that require you to escape, for instance, are much worse than this one, because you have to do some bullshit and THEN escape. So are the sac four in the basement type challenges.

  • Don't message people that upset you. You aren't going to hurt them with words. You are just asking to get banned from your platform. Do you want to risk ALL OF YOUR GAMES, not just DbD?

Playstation and Nintendo, for instance, will ban you from all online gaming at the drop of a hat. Steam is a little more lenient, I believe, but get banned there and you might as well burn the money you spent on PC games.

Just move on to the next match.

Dont lie survivors are not constantly being nerfing. And you dont need to be in a four man team to easily beat a killer

Don't lie, survivors lost EVERYTHING good. I listed a huge list of things that were nerfed recently. I think trolling is against the rules.

  • The game is definitely balanced in favor of the killer, unless the survivors play with a four man team over comms.

    They ARE constantly nerfing survivors.

All but one of our items were nerfed in the past year and killers are whining for the only one that hasn't been hit yet to be made useless next, keys.

All of our very good perks have been made useless and no great new perks have come out since Metal of Man was nerfed.

Pallets have been made to randomly generate in large bunches and the maps often have huge dead zones.

Sabotage can no longer deal with hooks because there are at least three everywhere you go and Sabatuer/toolboxes were nerfed so the hooks respawn in less time than it takes to blink your eyes.

Look at the challenges in the Tomes. Survivors have to win to achieve a lot of their challenges, while killers have nothing more difficult than doing what they were already doing and nobody can stop them from doing it. How is that challenging?!

There is DEFINITIVE PROOF, the killers have been whining for years and BHVR listened to them. Making the game more and more killer sided.

  • Detective's is definitely better. Seeing a totem as far from where you are now isn't always helpful in actually finding it, but seeing one right next to you is very hard to miss. Add in all the extras and Counterforce is only useful as a secondary to Detective's or Small Game. Though, you are hurting yourself more than any hex by running any of them, imo.

No offense but I check for those perks and I haven't seen anyone use those at red ranks in months.

No offense, but I use Fixated all the time and I'm often in the red ranks, as is my son, though we are admittedly in the minority on that. There are also a lot of challenges in the tomes for specific perks, and I remember a couple with Poised specifically. More than enough reason to believe that the survivors had one of those.

I try to check what people had at the end card whenever there is anything hinky. Cheating is not impossible, after all. Besides that, even in red you still face a myriad of survivor ranks. I myself have had gray rank survivors in an otherwise red rank match.

  • They disappeared because the survivor had Fixated or Urban Evasion, so they walk/sneak faster and leave no scratchmarks, or they had Poised, which stop leaving scratch marks when a gen is finished for a time. I think there are one or two more, but the most likely culprit is Poised.

  • Yes, definitely. There are more killer mains than survivor on the forums. The squeaky wheel, don't you know? They live in a constant fear of their easy mode being balanced so they shout the loudest here. Take note of how many 'vote ups' any suggestion that is killer sided gets (or conversely how few a survivor sided suggestion gets) and you can easily see that this is a fact.

  • Keys don't need a change.

  • Something I don't see being pointed out. They very clearly said, "During the Anniversary Event." Does that mean the leaks that they wouldn't stack are all about after the event ends?

  • Red rank solo queue players are the worst. Most of them got their by working entirely SOLO. Meaning they hid in the shadows saving only when it is convenient, lead the killer to other survivors so they can shake the chase, and always find the hatch for their escape letting one or two people die on hook so they can 'win'. They are EXTREMELY likely to be running bond for shaking off the killer. If they see you get in a locker when you go to craft a flashbang, they will come open the door, stopping you from crafting it for a moment. Most of them are ######### morons! They assume they know what needs to be done and try telling you that by waving and pointing. If you don't listen to their gesticulations they get upset and start fast vaulting through windows and into lockers trying to summon the killer to punish you for your insolence. /rant

  • Trapper is not bad, he just isn't OP and you can't expect a 4k so killers rate him as bad. He is one of the most fun killers to play as and play against, because you know the person playing him wants a challenging, fair match. Not easy - I win - mode, like so many other killers have come to expect with their S tier of choice.

    You know...

If you lose so many games to Nemesis than maybe you should adjust the way you play a bit. You know that guy is called a "Killer" for a reason. He is not a fluffy pony, he is supposed to be dangerous.

Or maybe if you lost so many games you are just not that good.

Uh, no, don't try insulting that will get you in trouble. You know, the facts don't lie. BHVR see the numbers on their end. I don't have to prove anything, they already know the truth.

  • NO! Please don't waste your time and money on something so worthless as this, BHVR!

@OP do you have any clue what goes on in end game chat? For the most part it is nothing but toxic players yelling about how good they are and how bad their opponent is while threatening reports and bans at each other.

After starting DBD I soon realized how childish this community is, and had to turn off all communication from anyone not on my friends list. People still try to add me in game just to message trash talk. I'm warning you, Playstation does not sit on their hands like BHVR on this. They will ban you from PSN for harassment in a heartbeat. That doesn't mean no more DBD, that means no more online games, at all, and you lose the money that went into it, too.

  • I don't agree. He needs more nerfs than just a tentacle slow. He gets 4k nearly every game because he has more advantages than any other killer in his basekit. He is shown where you are if you open a vaccine box. He is shown where you are if you are near a zombie. He is fast enough to end all loops while swinging around his tentacle. They also need to remove his ability to see the zombies auras and the notification of the vaccine boxes. He needs to be slower at full power, too.

He needs major nerfs. If you are a killer main investing all your blood in him I would think twice! He won't be so OP forever, because the numbers do not lie. He's killing everyone. I have written down the details of every match since his release and out of around 200 matches he is the most used killer by far (somewhere in between 25% and 50%), and he has gotten 4k in all but FOUR matches. No other killer even comes close to that. If this continues the devs know they won't keep new players. BHVR NEED 4x the survivors as they do killers, so they desperately need to balance this better. Nerfs are coming, don't waste your blood!

  • Keys don't need a fix. If you want to take out keys I want the hatch to not be closable. You can wait at the hatch for an hour while I stealth behind you like the old days.

Keys are the solution to the hatch being closable. NOT a problem.

  • That is interesting. I've been writing down every killer I face, how many kills they get, and their rank, along with some notes since last week's update. That being said I've had about 150-200 matches this past week and I have seen exactly zero Twins. None. Demi and Pig are also missing from my tallies.

  • I think this is a pretty good idea.

  • Moris are useless. When did this happen?

You should get 4k every match. You need to adjust your expectations.

  • @Luckyz17 Try killer for a little while. You will see that the survivors are just as inclined to be jerks, but there are four of them in the game.

This is a casual game, so you will enjoy it more if YOU don't go into it thinking that you will live every match (or ANY match) or that you will sacrifice four survivors (or ANY survivors). Just do your part as best you can and most importantly, have fun!

Also, don't be a jerk, there are too many of those in the game already. Don't do things like but dance after dropping a pallet or at the exit gate, and don't hit survivors on the hook or tease survivors with the hatch. These things are toxic.

Some camping tips. If the killer is a dedicated camper some perks that will help you mess them up are Borrowed Time, Kindred, and Decisive Strike. The best strategy to deal with camping is to just finish the gens and leave the game. It sucks for the one or two players but you should be able to escape if you don't reward them with an attempted save.

As killer the best way to camp is Insidious with Cannibal in the basement. Find a willing survivor to start, hook them in the basement. Hide around the corner and wait for the others to show up. Kindred defeats Insidious, but Borrowed Time doesn't protect against the two hit chainsaw. Decisive strike will give the bait a chance to get away unless you wait it out. Survivors playing together should counteract this type of camping, but they ALWAYS think they are better at the game than they actually are, so their comms can have mixed results.

Another tip I doubt anyone mentioned but you asked. Not all killers are faster than survivors. Some of them run at pretty much the same speed as you. Against the slower killers you can run around a single large object and unless they have a power to reach you, like nurse teleporting or shape powering up, they aren't going to catch you without playing mind games (like doubling back). Nemesis and Shape are really bad at this but like I just said, you could end up giving them more power by not trying to escape.

  • FOV gives a disadvantage. It is one of the ONLY disadvantages killers have. If it's too much for you, bring shadow. If you want more than that, too bad.

  • I hate the swamp. The large boat gives away your location. As survivor it is too small, there are too few pallets, and too many hooks. As killer it is too dark.

I love The Game. It is my favorite map. As killer, your terror radius spreads across the floors so you pressure the survivors even if you aren't near them. If I play nurse I love to burn this map. I've never gotten so many gen pulls on any other map. Scratch marks spread around like red paint on this map. As survivor there are a ton of ways to lose the killer in a chase, if you aren't a player that runs everywhere, that is. Since they added breakable walls, the map often has dead ends that only the killer can open up. That part really sucks for survivors.

The Saloon still has major bugs. You can get stuck if you walk off the steps instead of using them. It also has some of the most well hidden hex totems to date.

Im not sure whether you are trolling. I think almost everyone in this forum knows what op means.

BBQ may be an overpowered bloodpoint gatherer, but there is no competition for gaining bloodpoints in the game. Having more perks, addons etc can be a competitive advantage, but nothing is stopping you to earn your survivor bloodwebs with killer games.

You dont need to bring a BP-perk every game, so you need to compare BBQ with all perks. I would even argue that you can only compare killer perks with each other bc killer perks (4 slots) need to be stronger than survivor perks (16 slots) by design.

And the aura reading of bp isnt even that useful on most killer. I switched it out for thrilling after i earned enough bloodpoints.

The aura reading on BBQC is why players use it. If it were as big a piece of useless dung as WGLF, it wouldn't be used by anyone. Anyone saying it is useless is flat out lying. I use it all the time and it is ######### awesome.

You don't get to say what I compare. I do. What matters to me is that the BP perk survivors have sucks, while the killer side is excellent.

Finally, just because you can earn more blood on killer, doesn't justify the perk making an even bigger gain. If anything, that is an argument in my favor!

  • You obviously don't know what OP stands for. It means Over Powered, meaning having more power than it should, or more power than the opposite side's comparative perk or capabilities.

In the case of BBQC, comparing it to WGLF is the only option. It is OP, because it gives an enormous advantage alongside also giving the bp buff. The one side has much more advantage, more power, than the other side. It is clearly Over Powered. Especially since killers earn more blood than survivors already, just to promote people playing killer.

That being said I want WGLF to be buffed more than I want a nerf to BBQC. In addition to that an entire revamp to the way we spend blood to reduce the grind 99%.

  • I run discordance all the time, and I find it is too easy to counter once the survivors guess you have it. I think lethal pursuer has more advantages. It shows you EVERYONE. That means you can spot the ultra sneaky survivor, the idiot, as well as the team working on the gens - unless they run distortion, which finding out that can help you, too. I main Shape as killer so I would use lethal pursuer to find the idiot running around like a chicken with his head cut off, because he'll be the easiest to track and he will stand in the open the most for stalking. The gen rushers like to hide around the edge of rocks crawling around and you can't get a clear fix on them unless they don't notice you stalking them while they plow through a gen, and the sneak is going to go for a save or finish a gen sometime so they'll show up, usually.

I don't think I'd ever run both, but lethal pursuer has advantages for sure. I've noticed that most games against good killers (other than people learning Nemesis) that are using this end before the second gen pops. It is probably too good.

  • Three reasons:

Adept - Trophies/achievements are a thing you get when there are new ones to get.

Prestige - The entity eats your items when you prestige. All that blood is just lost. Most idiotic leveling system I've ever seen.

Endgame Collapse - You can close the hatch now, so it is only fair that they can bring an item that opens it back up.

Don't be afraid of keys. Rank means absolutely nothing more than that you were willing to put a certain amount of time into playing the game the way you're meant to. If you aren't having fun, why are you playing?

  • We need cross progression. There is no longer a valid excuse. Other companies have done whatever is necessary. Sony is not at fault, BHVR is, because if it were just a matter of Sony saying never, no game would have the capability. Since some games do, it is definitely on BHVR to get this done.

I would play on my PC if I could transfer my work, but I will NEVER farm out the DBD grind again.(we also need 99% less grind, and the blood cap to be unlimited)

  • If it doesn't sell it will get fixed. As it stands it looks nothing like Claire while Jill's looks like they took the skin straight from the remaster. Leon's all look great as well.

I would buy a Claire skin, if BHVR actually made one.

  • Also happening on PS5 on survivor perspective. I was literally running into pallets that would appear a moment later and past pallets that I could have used in a chase. It reminded me of when dream pallets are dropped into existence, but the killer was Nemesis.

  • Franklin's is still a broken perk, imo. The fact that you can remove an item I spent 3000 to 19000 blood points on was totally bullshit. Now it still trashes the add-ons so the player is out 0-13000 IF they get a chance to pick that item back up. Still entirely unfair, imo.

What needs to happen is this; Make Franklin's Demise send the item out of the game. It doesn't get dropped, it gets sent back to that player's inventory for use on other matches. That would make the perk very good, and get rid of this flat out ridiculous waste of survivor blood.

While we're on the topic of wasting blood, BHVR, get rid of the bloodweb entirely. Make it a shop where we can buy every individual item a certain number of times per day, with perks being purchased in a random rotation of say three perks then slot machine it to three new perks when one is bought. We should never be forced to waste our blood, when the grind is this ridiculous.

  • I recently got this one for a second time, too, because PS5 trophies didn't transfer from PS4. It was rough, and like others the first few games I had players DC immediately once they knew what was up. The end game collapse didn't exist last time I got it, either, so that was difficult to plan around. Also, players I faced would try their hardest to hide in lockers during a chase, just to stop you from getting the kill. Shape should be able to kill survivors from the dying state with this.

For other players working on this still, learn how to get Myers to attack rather than grab for the kill, then (after killing two) down the third and fourth survivors, preferably separate from one another. Pick the one that's closest to the hatch up and drop them until they are standing again, then kill one. Close the hatch. Kill the last. Burning a 'hatch will spawn' offering helped me find the hatch, too.

The only trophy that might be as difficult as this one is downing with hatchets from a long distance. I hated getting that one the first time and have no intention of redoing it. At least Evil Incarnate was fun to do.

Yesterday I was working on Ghost Face markings for a daily and the tome challenge of hooking your obsession (stockpiling blood for today), and I accidentally got adept. I had no intention of trying so hard, but the survivors were sweaty, going for every flashlight save and stun they could get, while also trying to body block every hooking.Needless to say I can't remember a more satisfying killer match. I got six out of my 15 obsession hooks, finished my daily, and got adept.

  • I am guessing we will get a Halloween revamp this fall. The new movie comes out in October I think. I just hope they don't screw up Shape too much.

  • Yes. I run distortion a lot. Knowing the killer has BBQC makes a big difference, because they are relying on that information. If you aren't the first found you can take advantage of that and finish a gen while the killer chases down the other survivors. If you are the first one found and later discover BBQC is a definite you can protect yourself from being tunneled better.

It also protects against so many other things, but be warned. Knowing the killer has Nurse's Calling, for instance, sure is a nice thing, but you will use up tokens quickly and the killer still sees the other player's aura if you aren't healing yourself, I believe. It's also great for every other aura perk.

Knowing what the killer brought (for sure) to the match gives you a huge advantage. If you can identify the four perks they DO have, you can also tell what they didn't bring. Like, knowing for a fact they don't have no-ed, no reason to cleanse dull totem (other than blood).

  • Every single game is two maps at the same place AT LEAST in a row.

Won't have to worry too much, though, almost every single game will be in Racoon PD unless someone burns an offering.

  • NO! You bring borrowed time or don't make the save. I'd rather die on hook then have you farming me!

1 … 6 7 8 9 10 11
