Hello spooky and Creepy Dead by Daylight Forum,
I guess we should see the Prestige Level or the general Level from the Killer and Survivor in the Lobby
because that can be better for the preparedness (and somepeople can indicate with that hehe ^^'').

So yes whats your Opinion about that?

Why? Your answer is because you want to lobby dodge. So, NO!

If you want to pick your teammates play SWF. You don't need to break the SBMM system even more with lobby dodges.

  • Why do you think one side deserves something just because the other side might get something? Yes, killers deserve balance, too, fixing one issue doesn't mean the other side should automatically be given a gift for no reason.

The specific reasoning behind this idea, in my opinion, is about balancing camping and tunneling while making the game fun. The game is undeniably not fun for a survivor that is the first downed then camped and tunneled out. Base kit BT might help resolve this issue if the survivor is skilled enough to take advantage and escape, but honestly I don't think it is enough. More needs to be done. Maybe campers should get a movement debuff when they trigger a BT mending state as well.

If BT is made base kit, I hope that the rework of the BT perk after that just gives BT regardless of how far away the killer is.

Because from a technical point of view, as they explained (and it's true), it wouldn't be that easy. Combine it with the spaghetti code DBD is written in and it probably would take ages to find any possible bug

From a players point of view, perk tiers might look as useless to veteran/older players, but to new players it actually gives a feel of progression. Remember when you were new and would unlock a stronger tier, the excitement behind it? Honestly I wouldn't like to remove that from new players.

What they could do is gradually reduce the grind based in playtime, number of characters unlocked, prestige level. Or they could flat out do number changes in blood points.

From my point of view it doesn't matter how difficult it is because it is a necessity. It isn't a request at this point. It is needed for this game to keep going much longer.

We need the removal of tier 1 and 2 on perks to reduce the grind. While you're at it, get rid of ascension 1 and 2 and make the bloody outfits show up in the tree after all perks have been purchased.

If you aren't convinced have someone do the math for you. How much time is necessary to ascend ONE character through with ALL perks? This means leveling ALL of either survivor or killer to 40 then ascending ONE to tier 3 50+. Now do the math for ALL of them. When you are adding nearly quarterly DLC, cosmetics like six times a year, and a battlepass system, you already have enough reasonable feeling of progression for old players, you don't need the insane grind anymore for the new ones.

From the standpoint of bugs it seems logical that in the end this would make balancing and bugs easier to deal with, not harder, because there would be no variety in these perks.

  • Paying for cosmetics and then having the artists revamp my character and ruin the look.

The battle pass permanently ruined every match where anyone is working on it.

The grind is growing exponentially and BHVR are obviously not willing to change that. How many months of grind are required for a new player now? It is the worst of any game I've ever seen.

I still enjoy the game, but those three things weigh on me the most every single time I launch it.

  • Out of all the perks they could fix for survivors, Boil Over should not have been on their list.

They could have FIXED Distortion, instead they decided to give 1 more token. Tokens evaporate against some killer perks, so this is not enough. It isn't fair to have one aura revealing perk eat ALL of your perk's tokens in a matter of a few seconds.

Some really great improvements to killer perks. No surprise there. Gearhead let's you hunt down the most proficient survivors now, Dead Man's Switch let's you tunnel the survivor's that are hungry for unhooks, and both of those show you which gen they were working on, too.

I fully support their Bubba face mask decision. There is NO room for scumbags here.

  • This is not new, I have seen it happen several times, maybe because I have much more play time than the first comment.

With the change to the hatch it's even more important that the devs deal with it somehow. It is cheating.

Report cheaters at this link with video evidence of the match that you post on another site like YouTube or Twitter. https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=191426

  • I only got 100k, and I definitely had more than 100 offerings over all my survivors/killers.

100k is a reimbursement for only 20. Where's the rest BHVR?! I maxed out several characters since Stranger Things and I almost never burn a location offering.

How much you want to bet they looked at only the one survivor/killer that had the most on your account, and that's it, not the full total.

  • I wonder if this had anything to do with losing Stranger Things. Is Netflix against killing the planet?

  • I noticed that Legion was grayed out for me even though I own that dlc. PS5

  • @MyersIsPantless said:

why? why do you feel the need to make sure someone doesn’t get their achievement?

I think it is a fair strategy. Just open the locker, carry them away from the locker, and drop them over and over. You gotta catch them before they make it back to the locker.

The ones that DC are the ones that are trying to screw up your achievement. Can't remember how many times I had to deal with that BS.

  • I am not and I wouldn't recommend it. They messed with Nancy's face as part of the cosmetic update a couple weeks ago and to me she doesn't look right anymore. As BHVR have made it painfully clear that they have no intention of guaranteeing that characters won't be sent through an artist's hand grinder in the future, cosmetics are something I will no longer pay for, and I would recommend you consider that before you do.

  • It's a license, not the full game. The people at Netflix probably wanted more $, or they have their own plans for that license and wanted it to expire. Stranger Things has been delayed a ton by covid, so it is possible sometime next year the next season will come out alongside a new game using these characters.

Again, it could be that Netflix just wanted too much money to renew. BHVR are suspected (by me at least) for being tight-pursed in that regard. Otherwise we would have cross progression for Playstation users already.

  • Yes, since before the anniversary. The day before it started someone hacked in the new cake. A week or two before that I faced an infinite sprint burst steve. Too many for me to have time to report and provide video evidence for them all. My son faced a team that had infinite dead hard and the players could NOT be hooked (he had to just carry them around until they wiggled free).

  • What's the complaint here? I don't get it. A person that DCs gets punished for it. Besides getting absolutely nothing for the match they get locked out of matchmaking for a period of time. If you are right and they are doing that over and over again that punishment increases cumulatively. If you disconnect two games in a row you don't get two five minute time outs. Only the first is five. Players have complained here about 24 hour bans and I expect it goes even further than that.

That's the punishment, but you want to add in that the OTHER survivors who broke no rules whatsoever also should be punished while you get a free kill? Why would that be fair? Killer gets a free kill if a survivor DCs.

so, NO! You don't deserve free wins.

Its not about protection hits, its about pulling your weight in chase. If all you do is hide and just try to do gens while your team is going down, you need to alleviate some of the pressure off your team by finding the killer yourself to get them to chase you.

Most players, including myself hate immersive teammates. I don't care if you did a gen, or think you are being useful. If you hide for a majority of the match, and havent been hooked once while the rest of the team is TRYING to do gens, and loop the killer, I can see why they would be upset and want you to get downed by the killer.

You don't get a say in how other people play the game. If you cheat, you deserve to be banned. If you are the killer, and you work with the survivors, YOU ARE CHEATING!

  • @SentinelCaptain said:

I don't know if it's enough to call a problem yet, but I've had 2 solo queue matches close together where I had another survivor intentionally try to sell me out, even though I was constantly contributing.

First was against Myres, early in the match, another survivor was about to get hooked so I jumped into a locker to cover for BBQ just in case. Just after, a survivor I know was not in line of sight came by not being chased, drops a pallet and vaults back and forth a few times, then tries to climb in my locker well before the killer gets there, then proceeds to do so over and over until the killer arrived and then did so again in front of them.

2nd was against Wraith. Midgame 2-3 gens done, while working on a gen with another survivor near the killer shack, we hear the heartbeat getting close and break off, so I jump in a locker again just before the killer arrived and the other survivor was found and hit. They then looped the shack 2-3 times, stopping every time to spin in front of the locker I was in.

These were not Point Farming matches.

I was constantly contributing to objectives.

I was not sitting in the lockers for any unreasonable length of time.

Does/have anyone have trouble with this?

All the time. Fair warning the closer to red ranks you are the more likely the survivors are to cheat. They will use bond to lead the killer right to you. They will point you out if you hide in a locker. They will try to shake the killer off on you every chance they get.

This is cheating, under the report options it is called "Working with the Killer". They deserve to be banned. Take video evidence. Report them.

  • Lately, as a survivor, at least 10k and I don't depip and the match wasn't filled with ######### cheaters.

As killer, two sacs and the match wasn't filled with ######### cheaters. If the match went well and I don't kill anyone I'm fine with that, too.

Having fun is more of a win than anything else the game can provide.

The amount of cheating these past two months has been disgusting. I see it at least twice a day! From Bond whores working with the killer to flat out infinite haste, unable to be hooked (the killer cannot perform the hook action because the survivor has hacked something), infinite Dead Hard hackers. Notice how all these situations are SURVIVORS. I've encountered literally dozens of survivors cheating in the past two months. I reported many of them with video evidence, in case you were wondering, but that takes too much time for me to keep doing it for anything less than hacking.

I'm not defending anyone. If people feel ripped off that's ther perogitive.

Nobody got ripped off really though, they still have the exact same thing they bought. There was a graphics update and some things changed, mostly to make them more realistic and now a bunch of nostalgia people a whining about the change.

I'd say 90% of the faces are an improvement and there are very few genuine complaints that aren't just "wha I don't like change". "My creepy waifu looks different"

All this talk of "solidarity" and "petitions for change" is frankly a rediculous overeaction, if people cared this much about real issues that mattered then the world would be a utopia.

If the new graphics somehow ruined your game experience I'd say you are putting to much emphasis on it and perhaps you should take it as a lesson in blindly spending cash on digital content.

Is this why people get so mad when they die in game because they are creepily in love with the digital avatar they chose?

"My didigtal dolly dress up time is ruined because they gave her face some definition and now I don't like it"

I'd mock the whole thing some more but I think enough has been said.

We DO NOT have the EXACT same thing we paid for. If you 'think' that we do you understand absolutely nothing about the entire thread.

I'm afraid it is possible that you lack what normal people do not. Have you never had a favorite toy? Have you never felt attachment to a single thing in your life? Do you think that everyone around you is so devoid of humanity? We aren't. We care about things. Especially things that we put our time and money into.

Just because you probably cannot form that same type of bond doesn't make our emotional attachment to aesthetics mock-worthy any more than your emotional detachment is disturbing and disconcerting.

  • @pseudechis said:

No, survivors are just skin and they really look ok in the higher definition. Everyone will get used to it in a month and then it'l be a non issue just like the new HUD.

Also you have to remember when buying digital skins that you don't own them you just pay to unlock them in game. They are BHVR's property and can be altered at anytime.

So, what you are saying is that we should never have trusted that BHVR wouldn't rip us off? That's some defense there.

  • Well, the doctor is the most annoying killer in the game, in my opinion. All of his mechanics are just obnoxious to deal with and he's about as scary as a kid that just picked his nose and wants to wipe it on you. Just to give you an idea of the 'logic' behind people that don't want to play against that.

  • I am changing from Kate to Elodie. I am very displeased with BHVR's cosmetic downgrades. I want to make one thing absolutely clear to them. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER COSMETIC FROM YOU EVER AGAIN, BHVR. From my point of view, you stole from me. That includes buying rift passes, because there is no other purpose in doing the rift other than cosmetics that no player can trust will remain the same.

This is what a DBD dev told me on Twitter when i asked few questions about Kate/Feng/Yui etc. This is what he said:

"That being said we will also not change something just because a handful of people are upset and keep repeating it. If we notice that it is something largely requested by the community through compiled feedback from our official sources we will most definitely look into it."

"Criticism is completely fine and welcomed, it's just more likely to be considered if it's a majority consensus sharing the same criticisms on our official channels. Throughout this process we've had a data team looking at feedback on all of DBDs outlets, platforms and countries."

I feel like this is stretching the truth. Are they honestly telling us that people went to 'official sources' to complain about how ALL of the characters look, so they changed it based on THAT?! That's not the case. They changed it because they thought they were 'improving' the art without customer feedback, and spending their time producing something rather than nothing meant their team made money. Which is really the point. They did it for the money. Not to improve anything.

So, here is the information we need to PROVE that we are not happy with their changes.

Where are these "OFFICIAL SOURCES" where we show them that the majority of players are not happy with these changes? Someone please provide a link and everyone go tell them exactly what is wrong (or right, if you like it) with the cosmetics.

  • I agree.

Anyone that says changing the face structure of our characters is an improvement upon them is borderline racist. What if I look like that character used to, is the new face better than my face?! I liked the look of almost every single character before the 'improvements' more, and I paid for cosmetics with that look included.

I feel ripped off, so I won't be investing in the unreliable DbD cosmetics ever again.

  • I'm glad they are trying to fix this, by having the server check the timing. He threw the pallet before you swung your fist. He hits you, you don't get a hit.

    Use your tentacle.

  • This is a bug. I have encountered this bug with my son about a month or two ago. We both play on PS5s.

We had a match on the Temple of Purgation. He was downed by the clown, and it looked like the killer picked up an invisible body and was carrying that around for the rest of the match. From my son's point of view he was locked in from the killer's shoulder point of view. Other than being invisible he didn't realize that he wasn't actually on the killer's shoulder until somebody healed him. At that point he could play as normal, except he could not see his character. His point of view never changed from the killer's shoulder.

If it weren't for the fact that he could see his character on my screen he would not have been able to do anything.

  • In the past MONTH I've seen these types of cheaters several times and reported them with video evidence, but it never ends.

I don't have enough free time to help you fix your game, BHVR. Your reporting functions should work without the extra effort of providing video evidence.

I downed a Bill with t3 Myers, he got up immediately sliding to the other side of the shack. I faced an infiinite sprint burst Steve, who I could only keep up with him while I was cloaked on wraith. And more... This doesn't even count the enormous amount of cheating that isn't hacking, when players try to team up with the killer and farm the other survivors.

I have no interest in playing with or against cheaters so I'm really glad the event is over. Now I can move on to something else until BHVR get their game working.

  • Do: Record video evidence of survivors trying to cheat by showing where other survivors are at, and turn those cheaters in to BHVR.

Don't: Tell other people how to play. You aren't in charge so as long as they aren't breaking the game's rules you don't get a say in how they play.

But the plague changes the entire match you play, yeah she isn't the best but no where close to the worse. If only one survivor cleanses then that's at least a couple downs. And if no survivors cleanses then if there medkits won't do them any good; self-care and other perks that have to do with healing are instantly unusable and she gets one free corrupt purge. So that makes her pretty good good in my opinion.

That's the point. Since she came out I've never once played a match where someone said, 'Sure, I'll play with No Mither just because the killer wants me to.' They always use the pools. If they're smart sometimes not right away, but it is always available, and it takes about 1/10th the time to use a pool as it would to heal with self care. Plus, they are everywhere. The killer has to be pretty good at aiming to even hit once with the damage shot, which is the only benefit from all of that downside. Definitely the worst killer in the game.

To say the Plague nullifies all healing perks tells me you need to rethink this. The Plague hands everyone that was even slightly concerned about healing the fastest healing device in the game, and also gives that same healing benefit to everyone that wasn't prepared to heal themselves at all.

All the killers on this list of 'worst' are better. Legion sees everyone on the map, and Legion and Pig both give survivors secondary objectives that keep them VERY busy (mending/traps). Myers downs everyone easily one after another. Trickster is a machine gunner that basically has Plague's damage with better aim all of the time. Trapper takes some work but is pretty easy for anyone that knows how to trap a building/shack. Finally, the Twins, which I don't know enough about to comment on. They don't give the survivors insta-heal pools every five steps though, so they aren't as bad as Plague right away.

  • Making it give tokens for finishing gens would be more in line with BBQC, but I think it should be combined with Borrowed Time. That's all it needs, both perks in one.

Before the uninformed forum poster points out that 'you have to safe unhook, blah blah blah for WGLF,' They only added that because farm forever was ruining the game. Every solo queue had at least two solo players that would chase after a killer and unhook right in front of the killer for the blood.

BBQC gives the killers an enormous advantage. WGLF should do the same for survivors.

  • @D4M4VR1CK said:

I want to learn reasons why certain killers are considered bad.

You left out the actual worst, Plague. No other killer gives you full heals all over the map. No other killer has to work so hard to power up with such a huge detriment. Plague is mechanically the absolute worst killer.

  • The most annoying setup I've ever faced was Doctor + Lullaby.

Franklin's isn't fair. Imagine the uproar if survivors were given a perk the removed killer add-ons when we get a pallet stun. It wastes our blood and we get less per match to begin with.

  • You don't even need to be good at getting great skill checks. Fast Track works with Stake Out (gain charges in the terror radius, each turns a good check into a great check). This is a decent combo if you are working on the 'make x great skill checks' challenges for the tomes. If you hit the great skill checks it doesn't use the charges of Stake Out either. Bring a medkit with the increased chance of skill checks add-ons and get bonus blood + heal faster, too.

  • I had someone do this last week. Match starts with me and another survivor in the shack with a gen, the survivor runs over to the door and throws the pallet. Needless to say I just left them to do the gen alone.

Today, though, I had two brand spanking new rank 20s grouped with us. The legion was rank 13, and my son and I rank 8. Apparently they had never seen mending before, so they were letting it run out. One of them went for a save and it ran out at the hook. It was hilarious.

  • Cheaters. Whether it is as simple as pointing to the hiding survivor, or as blatant as hacking the game, you deserve to be banned if you are cheating.

  • My problem with it is that those charges we get are used very quickly in some cases. I believe, for instance, when healing and Nurse's Calling triggers it, if the killer moves away and back again it uses multiple charges. The totem perk that reveals nearby players' auras will use all three charges in a matter of seconds. In fact, I don't believe it is possible to break a single totem in the time of three distortion tokens.

So, I'd suggest a buff to how long it remains in effect, or just a fix for those and similar situations that will consume all your tokens at once and basically break the perk. Even if we had 5 or 6 tokens they would still evaporate in the situations I mentioned above.

  • I used up mine, and I've leveled everything on my main characters so I don't want to waste any more blood. It can take three or four levels to get one on survivor, so they aren't really worth it. Especially when most killers have been so sweaty they are hurting themselves with how fast they kill everyone.

  • I have run into many of these 'cheaters', but they have all been survivors. Report it, and save video if you can. If you put that video on twitter or youtube or the like you can share that with the DBD team. Search where to report cheater in the forums and you'll find a post with a mod response. It is basically a ticket that you turn in and give them a link to your video... It is an awful lot of work just to get these people out of the game though.

Just the past couple of weeks I've had a Bill get up after I downed him, a Steve with infinite sprint, and a few bond-troll survivors that think it is okay to work with the killer.

  • This is happening on PS5 as well.

  • It isn't that Nintendo OR Google 'allowed' it. It is that BHVR were willing to do whatever Nintendo and Google required, but they obviously have not yet done whatever Sony is requiring, making it on BHVR to do what is necessary to make this happen.

Again, theres little testing on console because console makers have extremely stupid policies for testing; the devs cant make a ptb for console and it takes 2 weeks for patches to be verified. Feel free to yell at bhvr for pc bugs, but console devs are at fault when it comes to console.

And its entirely up to sony. As it is the only reason any game on ps is able to do cross anything is cause bethesda threatened to pull games from the ps if they werent allowed crossplay for a card game of all things. Sony is still very selective about it.

You are wrong. ALL of the evidence clearly shows that you are wrong. You cannot defend BHVR in this, because of that evidence. BHVR have not yet done whatever is necessary to make this happen.

It is 100% on BHVR, NOT Sony.

  • This is one of the best killer focused maps ever made. I have only ever seen exactly ONE useful pallet. Almost every window is within two steps of a door and there are about a million corners to literally corner survivors in. If your problem is finding your way around it, that is absolutely NOT a killer problem but a knowledge one. Learn the map.

    Easy mode=trifecta.

  • Doctor, Legion are just annoying time wasters. They have powers that are flat out obnoxious and games against them drag on because instead of killing the survivors the players playing them want to make you mend or make you crazy. Meaning they WANT to annoy you. They were the children in grade school that would pick their nose and threaten wiping it on everyone. Nobody likes them.

  • Yes, BBQ is the most powerful perk I have, then again I don't main an OP killer (I use Shape)

Although, I mainly play killer for tome challenges and ps5 trophies, I run BBQC, Nurses, Discordance, and Ruin. When I am playing to win and not doing some stupid challenge this is my go to, and they work wonderfully.

In my opinion, anyone that says they ONLY run it for the bps, is FLAT OUT LYING! Are you trying to tell us that you close your lying eyes when you hook a survivor, liar?

  • ONE of the players is working on the pustule for a challenge.

Besides which, they would be stupid to not copy and paste WORKING code. Bugged code, on the other hand...

Had anyone else experienced this kind of thing before? Someone who's not flying around as Clown machinegun throwing hatchets, but is still getting some kind of advantage?

Take last night. Up against a Ghostface on Azarov's, I get into a couple chases with him-- and it just feels wrong. I've played this game for a hot minute, and I know what 115% feels like. He was just catching up too fast. He moves in weird ways where he slows down a little then just speeds right up, sometimes doubling his crouching speed.

Postgame, my teammates tell me he had very high ping, but high ping shouldn't just straight up make you faster running in a straight line, should it?

And that besides, I had a match earlier last month against a Michael who was absolutely speedhacking. No speed buffing perks postgame, no TR affecting perks-- unhook a teammate in Hawkins when Michael's tier 3, and within 4 seconds of hearing his Terror Radius, he's back at the hook and downed me. Chased me up the stairs on my final hook, and he closed the distance like nothing.

It's not always flying Ghostfaces with hatchets.

I faced a Steve a couple days ago that had infinite sprint. I promptly recorded the video and reported the cheater with video evidence. This is all we can do, and there is no way to verify that BHVR do anything with it.

  • It is only survivor friendly if you are playing a ranged killer, or a too fast for his own good killer. Otherwise it is totally a killer focused map. Pallets are easily avoided. Hallways leave no room for looping. Trifecta's are easy to create and defend.

It might be the most killer focused map in the whole game.

  • Trapper is awesome on this map, and hag would probably do the same. The small paths help Nemesis' zombies a ton. The small rooms and multiple floors make it easy for demi, freddy, spirit, and nurse to teleport grab you off a gen. Doc can shock you while being nowhere near you on a different floor. Legion and wraith can easily trap survivors in a corner with their speed. There is only one pallet I've seen that doesn't take one second to walk around. It blocks a hall, while the rest of them are in between something as small as a chair and a wall. Walk around the chair, you don't even have to break the pallet.

The poor design makes it the absolute easiest map to trifecta. Hell, two gens can be in the main hall!

Basically, this is the best map for killers that they EVER made!

The only killers that this map isn't excellent for are the ranged ones, which is pretty much the case with all indoor maps for them. See trifecta above for how to dominate with them. I suppose super speed killers like billy and blight would also have trouble on this map, no more than game or midwich, though.

Honestly, if anyone should have a complaint about this map it's the survivors. Every game I've played on this map the killers camp the center, meaning the survivors cannot possibly finish the trophy generator and will definitely end up having a trifecta.

1 … 5 6 7 8 9 … 11
