Definitely not, old Kate was bearable and sounded realistic, Nancy's sounds unrealistic and is painful to listen to.
-
The new survivor voices are both pretty bad, neither sound convincing at all. Nancy somehow manages to sound more bored than Kate when screaming and Steve's scream sounds really monotonous, like you were holding down a piano key.
-
So he can teleport to gens, slow down or completely remove loops AND not have to mind game at them? No thanks.

I at least need one kill against a competent swf now that this perk exists they should cut the time of egc
It's only a maximum of 4 minutes, you don't need any more time. Even then the perk doesn't affect you downing the survivor again or going after someone else.
-
This has no reason being ultra rare. May as well just run golden token.
-
Either this or they'll give us ones similar to pig and Tapp, things that the creators of Stranger Things could see the characters wearing.
-
Guys if you don't camp, this perk becomes a very situational inconvenience at most. You'll get told that someone is 16 m from the hook with the flashing entity progression bar and then they'll get unhooked. There is no logical reason for teammates to activate the 34 seconds and then leave unless you're camping.
-
People really aren't reading the post are they? The hex is still removable from the beginning of the match, it just doesn't give a visual notification that it is lit.
-
Most hex perks should work like this, I don't think that Huntress Lullaby should light up until at least 3 tokens have been gained, Haunted Grounds should also only light when another hex perk has been revealed to someone.

But it activates in a moment in which the killer can't move for 2 seconds and has to break a pallet or circle the loop. It would be insanely stronger than any other exhaustion perk for this reason.
I think a cool alternative could be to increase the stun time instead of giving a sprint boost.
So sprint bursting after a pallet stun isn't a thing that can happen in game then?

Honestly I think that perk would punish killers for doing good, and it would be very frustrating. As a good killer you almost never have to respect pallets, but if you know a survivor has this perk, then you will be forced to play bad just to avoid having this perk activated. Maybe add a condition (every 2 stuns) to not make it so powerful?
It's an exhaustion perk, it'll only activate once in a chase and then get put on cool down.

Any mechanical info the game gives you reduces the information swf have to think, ask, receive etc.
Asking for current status or action becomes redundant an allows for quicker strategizing.
it might lessen the gap between solo and swf, but ANY BUFF to solo is also a buff to swf.
How is adding a chase indicator to the HUD a buff to SWF? Because it tells everyone else that they're in a chase half a second before they can just say that they're in a chase? It doesn't change the info that they are given whatsoever.

That isn't what I said. They should in fact balance the game the best they can, but they need to focus on the real problems.
If SWF is out of balance because of the information it gives. You don't balance the game by giving them even more information. That's like putting gas on a fire in hopes it burns itself out. All that would do is make things worse needing even larger Killer buffs, who would then take even longer to put in place.
You need to focus on the problems first, cure the disease. Then deal with the symptoms and even things out.
What you don't realise is the devs are giving the info that SWF has to solos. Look at the title of this discussion. Does that affect SWF in any way? It only affects solo players, SWF gain nothing from it.
-
I will never play anything above 160, as killer the survivors are usually <130

Most solo games go better than any swf games I've played. I'd rather play solo.
Well then you obviously haven't played high ranks where the rest of your team are blendettes who hide when they aren't even in the terror radius.

An entire balance point of DbD is that Survivors are suppose to give up perk slots to have that information. Survivors are suppose to make due with a lack of information from the start or gain it at some cost be that perk slots or an item. Information is one of the most powerful things you can have. That's why there are so freaking many Survivor perks that offer information.
Being able to have that information for free is the problem and is why SWF can be so strong. If you just give out that information to everyone, then that instantly makes a dozen or more perks worthless and just as bad or worse than Left Behind.
Not only that, but you know Killers wouldn't get any form of buffs to balance that for ######### months or at least a year. If at all to be frank.
As I previously stated, the devs have confirmed that there will be buffs. Changes such as this will be implemented at the same time as or quickly after the solo buffs, everyone in this community seems to think the devs won't balance changes for a long time just because DS wasn't changed until quite recently.
One case where something took a while doesn't mean that everything similar to that will take a while, that's like saying "Planes have crashed in the past, therefore every single plane is going to crash", it's a pretty silly way of thinking about things.

Good thing you have 3 more.
The entire point of the upcoming changes is to bring solo players closer to SWF without solos having to waste perk slots to get info that SWF get for free.

How do you get good when you are exposed to the killer all game and they can run twice as fast as you?
1) They aren't twice as fast as you
2) You could always hide???

Ok then could someone give some examples where it isn't a choice?
When the killer sees you? When in chase you obviously have to resort to a more aggressive playstyle, you can't just crouch in a dark corner when the killer has direct line of sight. Another example could be on maps such as Lery's or The Game, both of which have very few dark areas.

The only things in this game that I consider to be survivor catering are keys, instaheals and ds. Keys because, no matter the skill, it's an easy escape, instaheals because they removed everything else that was instant about survivors, this should be too, ds because you can still get hit by it despite chasing, downing and hooking a totally different person.
You control whether a survivor uses DS or not, I still don't understand how so many players can complain about a perk that is only useful if the killer allows it to be used.

NOED and A Nurse's Calling will get nerfed indirectly by Inner Strength, Nurse's Calling is already not to good anymore because survivors don't heal as much as they used to and Thanatophobia and Stridor are useless, you make fun out of yourself by listing them. Oh, and Discordance is overrated, it procs maybe 1 time per match before survivors start to counter it.
So you're calling me out for it rather than the person who said that all those perks were strong? Okay then.

but let's take a look at the killer perks. i see NOED, nurse's calling, BBQC, make your choice, surveillance, discordance, pgtw, haunted ground, ruin, spirit fury/enduring, whispers, thanatophobia, stridor etc
NOED: Annoying perk but just cleanse totems.
Nurse's: Don't heal inside terror radius.
BBQ: Hide in a locker.
Make Your Choice: Play more cautiously, resort to stealth over anything else.
Surveillance: Understandable, annoying and no actual counterplay.
Discordance: Work on the gen alone?
PGTW: Also understandable, annoying and no actual counter.
Haunted Grounds: Resort to stealth.
Ruin: Work through it, if you come across the totem, cleanse it.
Spirit Fury, Enduring: Drop pallets early, it wastes more time than stunning the killer when this combo is being used.
Whispers: Gives the killer a helping hand, is in no way shape or form strong.
Thanatophobia: Gives almost no impact on action speed.
Stridor: Practically useless.
Practically all of these perks can be made useless by survivor actions and choices, just like how survivor perks can be made useless by the killer's actions and choices.

uhh i would say every single killer is good especially with their ridiculously good add ons. only legion, wraith, doctor and clown could use buffs. then there are nurse and spirit who are now god tier especially with their op add ons, zero counterplay.
So are we just ignoring how weak Pig is after the introduction of EGC? Even her ultra rare add-ons are awful. Rule Set No. 2 should be base kit and Amanda's Letter is worthless due to its huge downside.
-
The thing that people don't realise when saying that it should deactivate when another survivor is hooked is that;
You get hooked
Killer goes after and downs someone else
Killer then carries survivor to hook
Teammate saves you
Other survivor gets hooked
DS deactivated
Killer still tunnels you
You can't use DS
I understand that most killers won't actually tunnel but there are scenarios where a tunnelling killer will profit from a change like this.

Oh look survivors complaining about more things.
If you played killer for more than a few matches a day, you'd realize that killers have almost zero control over the match in Purple or Red ranks. Calling for nerfs on numerous perks and numerous killers, numerous items, just shows you got your ass killed and got salty and need to get better. I'm a damn good killer but against a coordinated Red rank team I can get legitimately bullied and there's not much you can do. Here's why...
If survivors are constantly stuck on gens, refusing to heal, refusing to cleanse, refusing to look in chest, and do gens instead, let their team mates hang an extra 30 seconds, and do gens instead, and can loop decently, and pretty much never stop doing gens, you really can't do much, no matter how much people say "just pressure more."
So whenever I see survivors constantly complaining it's just laughable. Survivors have so many second chance perks, and the only one killers have, NOED, is also constantly bitched about.
Okay? But ebony moris do kind of break the game, especially against solo survivors.

Inner Strenght:
- Equip Decisive also
- Do a totem
- When you get unhooked and the Killer tunnels you, jump into a locker. You will be healed.
- Killer can not slug you cuz you got healed, if he grabs you, use Decisive
- Profit
That will only work if inner strength does not require 8 interrupted seconds in a locker, which it probably will.

It only activates on struggle phase so no.

Oh yeah, people were also talking about the key aura reading. On that note, if you take an ultra-rare key, double down by increasing the charges by 15 with the beads, and triple down by running streetwise, you effectively get 56 seconds of use. Now, that gets cut in half with the blood amber (or whatever the name is), so you have 28 seconds.
The problem is that activating a key requires one second of you "priming" it, which doesn't reveal anything but still consumes charges. You could theorhetically get 27 seconds of aura reading, at most, if you used it all in one pass. More realistically, you'll use it for 1.5 seconds at a time, to get a quick peek of where the killer is and which direction they're moving.
Using it in this way, you're burning 2.5 seconds of key each time. If you bring an ultra-rare item and two support addons, and a perk to further empower them, you can get ten quick peeks. Is 17k bloodpoints worth of item, plus a perk, giving you an unbeatable advantage?
Lol no, it's an ok item. Not worth using it to hatch escape though, since you come down nearly 10k behind in BP.
Key and map charges no longer work like that anymore, charges are only consumed when the channel bar is full.
