Med kits are kinda that thing that isn't completely broken that everyone starts talking about, but isn't weak enough to almost never see it. Here are my issues with them:

    • It is extremely hard to start pressure at the start of the game using hit and run playstyles, which is almost required to do against good squads due to all the pallets being available.
    • When you are forced to bail a survivor mid game this wasted time is used by the survivors to almost completely heal, removing the injury pressure you had.
    • In late game they remove slugging opportunities (situational as the med kit will probably be used, but it's something to add and consider).

I barely see anybody actually talk about med kits, but I'm actually seeing a few 4 man med kit squads and it is so hard to get pressure going, even if my chases are short.

Just wanted to see if other people have an issue with them as well.

Speaking of medkits, dodge if you see a ShinobiSlayer360 with one. If I have a medkit, its going to be me trading it for a flashlight, which I WILL bully you with. Not to mention I only trade insta meds for lights, since I hate insta meds and try to get rid of them.

I just saw the Tofu's video of matchmaking and I am scared of it.

The playerbase wont grow up or just a little if the devs dont do something...

that made me thinking if they will let their game die. Let me explain quickly why: I was a Paragon player (a dead game wich Epic killed cuz Fornite) and last thing I remember was that they were making bad decisions and I really hope this game wont go in that way

    Thoughts?

I was a paragon player as well. I miss that game:(

Claudette - Cares only for Claudettte. Won't think twice about sacrificing someone else to save herself.

Spends time at the campfire learning about other survivors weaknesses and how she can exploit them if need be.

Lmao I felt that as a former claud main.

  • I main nurse and feng now. My username is inaccurate. And I play feng like claud because I have all perks t3 on both so i can speak for clauds too. But anyways, I play feng now because she's the first survivor I ever played.

Full Crutch Combo Tier: I will go out and say it, any Claud or Nea in my game is gonna have the full crutch combo. How can I make as many mistakes as possible as survivor and still get rewarded for it? That's what these players wake up and ask themselves.

Crutch Boys Tier: General crutchy survivor players. Maybe 2 second chance perks on them; more than likely dead hard and DS.

Reasonable Builds: Usually only 1 second chance perk from these guys, or none. But the build itself is still well put together

Meme Builds: Nancy players are actually the worst I would say overall. A lobby with multiple Nancy's is when I put on the survivor pudding and get ready for an easy game.

No Mither: I barely see these guys. But when I see a stock David in my lobby they are liable to be running No Mither unironically.

Ok no. I'm a feng main and I run dead hard for tricky flashlight saves and ds to not get tunneled after I pull off that tricky save. My other perks are bond and resilience. Only one "crutch" and thats d's, because dead hard doesn't work most of the time, and i don't use it like that anyways.

I have been playing Dead by Daylight for 8 months and 8 months I play as a survivor. The worst part of being main as a survivor is having to suffer to get bloodpoints. Many times you have a breathtaking game and still can't even get close to 32K and not everyone has the same skills and focuses that guarantee maximum points in all categories. I love Prove Thyself to help my team and to farm. It is an efficient perk that benefits me and speeds up my allies' goal. We're Gonna Live Forever is a perk I've always used. I don't care so much for pips. For me, farming is a much bigger prize because it rewards me based on the effort I made during the match. However, to be honest, none of this has been enough.

Devs, please, David's new buff on the perk does not guarantee anything bonuses other than the healing speed on survivors lying on the ground. This is something extremely useful because it avoids slugging and above all it prevents the survivor from going to the hook. We're Gonna Live Forever has become a great selfless perk but what about the part where you add new ways to guarantee the percentage of bonuses in the categories? That's why I started playing the killer recently and was shocked by the ease of winning over 40K of bloodpoints. Using only Barbecue & Chilli without any additional bonus offerings, killer does not go hungry. This is a fact that cannot be denied. The point, at least for me, is that I don't find playing killer as exciting as I like playing survivor.

About the perk itself, there are some aspects that make this perk not have its purpose as it should and that does not guarantee stacks from "new ways" as spoken by the devs. First, saving a survivor from the killer's lap with a flashlight requires skill and many still don't master using that item. Pallet saves are extremely situational and rare to succeed. Only a babykiller not to notice that a survivor lying in the middle of a pallet can be saved if there is another ally nearby to drop the pallet. With that in mind and taking into account that stacks could already be obtained by doing any of the previous actions, I would very much like devs to rethink new ways to secure bonus stacks. Raising survivors from the ground as well as healing states of life completely would be far better situations to think about, since healing is a recurring action with great intensity in the course of the matches.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who uses We're Gonna Live Forever and I don't want to have to play killer whenever I want to farm better. Reinforcing what many have outlined their thoughts here about this David's perk, I leave here what I think about it and I strongly hope that the devs will take notice of it. I may not be good at loops, but I just wanted to make my generators, heal my friends and earn my double bonuses in peace. Looking forward to the new updates on the Xbox. See ya'll in the gate!

Flashlight and pallet saves always gave stacks. Also both of them are very easy.

As the title stated, which killer brings you the greatest satisfaction to play and which killer do you find most exciting to play against as survivor?

Any reason is valid, so long as the killer brought you entertainment value.

    ---

My personal pick is probably Huntress for both, though I think Myers and Nurse also have powers that are quite fun to work around.

But I'm curious to hear who else is generally viewed favorably by the community?

    Pig.

  • @xGodSendDeath said:

Not really. Not with matchmaking pricing you with literal rank 20s having their first game. Thats why I don't play survivor, and if I do, its always a four man swf.

  • @BillyMain77 said:

Yo this game is ridiculous when it comes to scoring and pips.

Just played a game vs a perm tier 3 myers with an ebony mori, long story short he was garb and couldn't tier up off anybody and he ended up getting gen rushed and only got 1 hook all game.

Still depip'd and its stupid. Why do i lose my rank for playing well?

Can yall please fix match making. Tired of playing boosted red ranks who got their level by playing boosted potatoes over the past few months that MM was turned off or whatever was going on.

Im running into more and more games where i have to go be toxic and mess with the killer just to try and squeeze out some extra BPs so i can at least safety pip.

People who say survivor is easy are trolling. Having to depend on so many other variables other than yourself in order to rank up is ridiculous. I can load up a killer game and get a double pip almost constantly because i control the flow of the game.

Tired of randos just being potatoes, can we go back to the good ole days where i use to load up a solo queue game and have full confidence in my team that they had my back and knew how to hit skill checks, loop, make saves, and big brain plays?

Now i load up solo queue games and watch some of the things my team mates do and i wonder to myself how did you even make it past green ranks? Who paths like that? Just running into dead zones as if they have no map knowledge at all. The list goes on and on and im tired of the incompetence.

Please bhvr i know it can be done, i wish to face the sweaty red rank killers like it use to be, and i want sweaty team mates as well.

The matches use to be so fun and intense and now its so hard just to get a decent game with the potatoes dcs tunnelers.

Okay done with my rant lol

Tl ; Dr : They need to fix matchmaking so we can have better games.

    And thats why I'm a killer main😁

  • @LittilAvindar said:

The killer Clown, that is... Yeah, the very one. Now, you know very well what to expect when the killer is The Clown... Tunnelling, camping, moris, etc. This guy was a trip. The match starts, and he finds his first survivor. After a bit of chases with bottles being spammed like machine-gun fire, he finally downs the first victim. They get hooked.

He looks around, before moving in a direction of one of the other survivors behind a wall - the obvious telltale sign he has BBQ. He goes after them, but not before they pop their gen, and another survivor goes for the unhook. As you can expect, the clown, already having scored a hit in that last chase, abandons and runs for the hook, spamming more bottles. He breaks off and immediately goes for the previously hooked survivor. After another rather long chase, and another gen popping he finally downs them, and immediately mori's them.

A few minutes and another chase later, two more gens pop, leaving just one. The Clown has just downed another survivor, and is literally face camping them. After about a minute the last gen pops, and another survivor manages to unhook them in front of the clown's face. He immediately tunnels and downs the previously hooked survivor. Previously hooked survivor uses Decisive Strike. Clown rage-quits.

How unbelievably sad. He used all the ######### tactics, and the survivors used their own to counter it. Remember folks, the reason perks like Decisive Strike exist is because of killers that play like that. He rage quit. I guess gg, because when tunneling and camping and moris actually don't work, you might as well give it up.

Checked all the boxes for you?

    Mori - check

    Tunneled - check

    Face-camped - check

    Rage-quit - check

If 4/4 aren't checked, you're probably not playing as The Clown. The question of the evening is: Why are most Clown players like this?

Thats pretty funny ngl. Ive has games like that, but it was a stridor spirit. She brought a mori, mother-daughter ring and yakuyoke amulet, with stridor, and still lost. She didn't even get a down. Anyways, my teammates were tbagging(I don't do that bc I know how it feels) and she ragequit. Its honestly pathetic that you can lose with some of the most bs things in this game.

Well I know for sure at least five hundred people put spirit, because all of my five hundred psn friends put her. I think that deathslinger is fine, because he can get genrushed as counter play. He doesn't have mobility, but he has an overpowered chase ability, so id say he's fair ATM.

That's a bit much... like I said earlier the only thing I would like to see is either something like audio deafness during phase to reduce the accuracy or at least give the survivors a intermittent blink of a ghostly outline of her when she is phasing so they have have a better prediction on when they need to attempt to juke like Otzdarva suggested. She's really not a problem if she isn't chaining hits (as she is base 110% movement) and flying around the map gen to gen with Mother/Daughter Ring with no real downside atm.

I was joking, dude. I'm a killer main and I play trapper a lot. I know how weak he is. I used to play spirit a lot. I know how strong she is. I also know that spirit doesn't need a nerf, but a rework, and trapper just needs two add-ons to be base kit.

I can assure you i use DS because most of the time its a free gen and if i get slug i will just rise up and finish my gen either way im stronger when i recently get unhook and if the killer dont come near me i can do that twice each match that mean a whole 2 minute were i can do whatever i want but yeah DS is an anti tunnel perk

I don't use unbreakable with ds because I dont use ds like that. I just don't want to get tunneled.

Hey, we've all been beginners at this game at some point, and I'm sure done some derpy stuff. What are your best (or worst) noob moments?

    For me:

As a survivor, running after an injured David like a misguided Pollyanna. Chased him all OVER that map, wondering why he kept refusing my attempts to heal him. HELLO, NO MITHER, I don't believe we've met before!

As Killer, wondering why it took so many kicks to bust a generator. Sometimes 3 or 4, sometimes 10 kicks! Per generator! How inefficient. HELLO ZERO REALIZATION I WASN'T COMPLETING THE DAMAGE ACTION!

    Ah, memories.

Reported a doctor with fake pallets for hacking because I didn't know that was a thing.

  • Am I the only one who does this TO waste time? Genrush is a problem, so I do this to slow the game and make it fair to the killer.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Ok so I want to start this off by saying I think this is one of the main offenders of polluted blood webs.

Everyone knows currently flashlights into have 4 good add ons. The batteries and the filament. Everything else is overpriced trash or cheap trash. What they have in common is polluting the bloodweb.

I dont want insta blinds back but I would like blind speed to be added back to the game or at the very least delete the other add ons or totally redesign them. Stuff like high end sapphire lens(hesl), intense halogen, and odd bulb do the exact same thing.

Ever since the blind speed removal all 3 of these add ons increase blind duration by 1 second. I want to also mention a mistake between the two effects "increase the flashlights range" and "increase the flashlights beam." The range add on does nothing and the beam add on actually increases the range. Also it only increases the rang by half a tile!

You have accuracy add ons which do so little they are unnoticeable. Increasing the beams visual brightness is nothing but an aesthetic. Decreasing range is way to punishing considering range add ons dont even do much for it. I'm gonna cut these flaws short because as you can see its alot.

The main change I want is to make odd bulb and ultra rare worth something. I would like it to make the blind take 0.75 to 0.8 seconds instead of 1.33. The exception is that this add on is now the only faster blinding add on.

Oh yeah, you probably didn't know this, but the increased range add-ons don't do anything, but the wide lens still decreases it. Just wanted to point out that there are more useless add-ons than you think.

I play both Survivor and Killer, but the only Killer I play (at least until I feel I've gotten down completely) is Michael Myers. Of late I am running into a metric ton of newbie Mikey players. It is hurting me watch you. I want to give you a few tips.

    1. Unless you are choosing to play a Mikey limited to Tier-1 (Scratch Mirror) with wall hacks, it should NOT be your goal to stay at Tier-1 all match. It isn't good for you. You should be stalking and getting to Tier-2 as quickly as possible. You do this by depressing the left trigger while in line of sight with a Survivor. The closer you are the more evil you will gain.
    2. I know you want that one kill at least so you don't feel you utterly failed, but face camping that one guy is not productive to you in the long run. Hook'em and hunt for more. The worst thing that will happen is someone will unhook that person, and if you caught them once, chances are you will catch them again. You need practice hunting and stalking. Sitting there at point blank range is not useful.
    3. If you are going to camp at Tier-1 move off enough to at least get some other Survivors to take the bait. Grab them when they come to do the unhook.
    4. At Tier-3 you get Insta-down, for however long Tier-3 lasts. Slug and slug and slug again. Don't lose time hooking if you can avoid it. Remember that you cannot stalk while you are in Tier-3.
    5. Take Play With Your Food.

My personal advice is only two things. 1 is dont pop t3 asap. Wait until its a good time to pop it.

2 is if you're stalking but can get a hit, take the ######### hit.

The day ds get nerf we the killers will be happy and celebrate and wanna hear all of the cry babies complain about it and quit dbd and see how is it feel like how we the killers feel about killer perks get nerf.

We all should get the equal buffed and nerf for all perks as well to make the game balance and it better to nerf all meta perks in a way on both side where it can make the game fun by having everyone use the other unused perks which there is like 90 perks instead of using the same boring perks so yea just make the game feel fresh.

The reason most people use ds is to not get tunneled, which most killers do. Thats why no one takes it off.

  • @ZCerebrate said:

Whelp here's your chance... Maybe Clown, Trapper or Wraith will get touched next.

Meanwhile in the nerf wheel: "Is Spirit the next on the chopping block?" Or will they opt for the far weaker "Deathslinger" next?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1VS0RC6NA9QB/untitled.jpg

    My personal take.

Trapper is just clunky to play at the moment with RNG riding from the moment you spawn into the map for trap locations, how quickly survivors struggle out, having to wear a minimum brown bag (unless they're running Iris Stone to auto reset) etc. Needs some QoL changes.

Clown needs to not be a weaker huntress and have "something" else in his kit other than "I throw gas and walk back and forth to judge distance for M1 at loops" then slowly trudge across impossibly big maps. Maybe he's easier to use for chases (even with Pinky Finger addon which increases his skill ceiling a bit) for console players but a very dry 115% movement speed experience. Wraith (with Windstorm) is actually more fun for me to play personally even if he is weak in his own way of not being able to really do much with his power once you actively get to the chase.

Spirit is currently one of my favorite killers to play and one that is definitely the most abuseable currently due to a perk called Stridor. People will cry that audio bugs makes Stridor unreliable to use but I'm yet to really have issues with a few hundred games running it. I don't even have trouble finding healthy survivors trying to play Hide and Seek with me (if they're not in a locker) while I run Stridor, Whispers and Mother Daughter Ring (I don't even need scratch marks). The fact that I can do short phase walks at 236% movement speed (not just the 176% of base Spirit) and accurately hit people consecutively is borderline abusive - I don't even bother kicking most pallets on the map unless my power is down and I HAVE to chase as a 110% for a bit.

The predictive element in her kit has be played up - release Spirit was considered weak because people didn't have enough games to realize how PINPOINT accurate you could still hear people during phase... She was annoying with the old Prayer beads but only being able to juke somewhat newer Spirits was a larger issue.

Anyways - the people crying about not being able to hear phase sounds and getting grabbed off pallets by the "standing still" mind game aren't really aware why that's so easy to pull off... the danger of a phase hit is high because of how accurate tracking is through sound alone - forcing them into thinking it's a lose/lose.

This is of course talking about killers who have 1000+ hours and can actually make use of this. Plenty of Lower "skilled" Spirits bomb out and juked themselves and don't run Stridor for reasons (on principle or not knowing how good it is), because I lead them around for 5 gens too... these aren't the Spirit players you should be balancing around.

Dude thats what I did. Trapper and spirit. Maybe they'll add new skins for trapper and make it so spirit has a 3 minute cool down on her power 😆

  • @xEa said:

And that's why I thanked you. If I sounded sarcastic I'm just gonna tell you how, I wasn't. Some people will not just simply stop arguing, when they are in reality wasting energy for no good reason. And although we are here because we like this game, it's still a game. I still disagree a hooked survivor and one going for the save is one of the best ways to apply pressure. They still have a trap to get off their head by that time your busy pressuring the next gen, downing the next survivor, putting a trap on their head ect. when their saved off the hook then they need healed also it's so much extra time off gens. Let's just agree to disagree then.

Alright I'm fine with that. Thanks for not going crazy to prove a point that literally means nothing because it's a game.

OoO is just as much a detriment as a benefit.

    Styptics were already nerfed.

Brand New Parts were already nerfed.

Decisive was already re-worked completely, and then re-sold as a pay-to-play perk, because killers didn't like that they couldn't tunnel right off the hook.

Keys are generally useless if survivors play well. If all 4 are up, the hatch only spawns after all the gens are already completed. 3 survivors require all but 1, 2 survivors require 3 to be done, and the hatch auto opens for the last survivor.

Grass is being changed in all the maps because killers complained that survivors could hide in it. Now it's short enough that survivors can't hide, but still tall enough that traps and totems are completely concealed.

Corn is just as much a detriment to survivors as killers.

Actually ooo is the best survivor perk. You know when the killer is coming so you get a 32 meter+ head start. If you're good, you won't ever get downed with it.

I disagree 100%. Hooks a hook especially if their out positioned. If you just let them go it's a wasted opportunity to get someone to the next hook phase or out of the game altogether. Then you have 2 survivors off gens if someone goes for the save. I wouldn't go out of my way to chase someone with a RBT if at a strong loop or if I really need to press gens. To just let a survivor just go free if you dont have any info on where to go next or have another target nearby take the hook it's worth. If survivor's make a mistake I capitalize. Better chance of their trap being activated to in the time it takes them to get unhooked. By that time I'm usually working on that next hook. I have a pretty good success rate with her and I play at top ranks. I understand your position though I just think it's to black and white to say you should never go after someone with a RBT their are certainly situations its the best option.

Oh there is one exception. If they're dead on hook.

Not chasing them and going for someone else IS pressuring gens. They will be off of them and you progress someone ELSE'S death. Its simply more efficient to chases someone else.

As killer I tend to see traps get taken off on all four boxes but usually 2-3 (with a lot also being taken off at first box)

As survivor I tend to get the trap off on the 1st-2nd box

If it's an active trap sure I let em run but if its not active you deny yourself momentum and opportunity to capitalize. 1 on hook 1 saving someone off the hook is time not on gens. Gives you more time to track down the next victim.

Commiting to chase a trapped survivor, active or not, isn't a very good idea. They will still be trying to get their traps off. You want to go to people on gens. That way you have a max of two people on gens.

    I don't understand either...

But for the most part the survivors get the trap off on first or second box so It's not as efficient as I'd like

Its usually the fourth box when I play her, but the first when I'm against her. I'm just super lucky I guess 😆

  • Pig is one of my favorites on both sides. Shes viable and fun. Who wouldn't suggest her?

  • Theyre off gen though, so its best not to chase them.

But they're complaining that spine chill says the killer is closer but premonition tells you the killer is close and hes over in that direction, sure it has a 30 second cool down but my point was it actually tells you where the stealth killer is and it's honestly hypocritical when these killers can run whispers on a stealth killer and basically have the killer version of spine chill and be stealth. There are so many more things that should be addressed before even worrying about a not so OP perk that is being ran due to the amount of undetectable options available to a killer , it's their own gameplay forcing this shift in meta

Spine chill is better than premonition because first of all, there are no false alarms with it, second, it has a shorter range as well which is good, third, it has no cool down, and fourth because it makes you do things faster.

I play Jigsaw a lot after Myers and the advice about the whole "boop the snot" meme is if you dont want to follow it, dont, smack the guy who tries it and he and the rest will get the message, you are here to play a little game and they should play it their best if they want to get out.

Its lame? a bit but is also lame to enter a trial and pretend the other side is a joker who just wants to goof around.

It depends, I have "Save Best for Last" on her, if Im chasing someone and see a trapped Survivor on a Jigsaw box ill hit them, not only gives me a token but also resets the box and injures them/forces the other Survivors to go pick them up from the hook/ground, its stalling on top of more stalling. If Im not chasing anyone well bad luck, hook time it is, I have to keep applying pressure.

Jigsaw is not a carbon copy Killer, you have to be aware of the flow of the game, sometimes is better to down someone near a box, sometimes is better to ignore him, sometimes is better to patrol boxes, sometimes is better to not, trapping always may not be the best decission (if you are gonna hook near a box and you are doing good on gens is better to save that trap for later or it may get removed 10 seconds after unhook) etc. You cant play her the same way always like other Killers like Hillbilly (sprint all map, find someone, saw him, hook, BBQ shows you next target, sprint, chase, saw, hook BBQ etc).

I meant commiting to a chase.

hmm... This is definitely a bug, and I might know where it's coming from.

The healing progress and medkit charges values are likely stored in a variable type similar to a "double". This data type stores a number that can can include integers in the decimal place, but the big drawback is that these numbers tend to be inaccurate when processed. This is probably what's causing your issue. 24 + 8 obviously = 32, but the program may end up with 31.9998 or something because of the mentioned inaccuracy. You'd generally handle this by rounding the number up if it's within a certain boundary, but something may have messed that system up in a recent patch.

    Big brain

It is incorrect though that tokens could already be acquired this way. It has only been safe unhooks and protection hits for a long while now.

And being able to quickly heal slugged teammates is a buff. This could be great paired with BK

No it hasn't. I used wglf with a flashlight yesterday. They still work.

The fact that it will now include flashlight saves and pallet saves is LOWKEYYYY a nerf LMFAO

This perk was already annoying as hell as it is with how it unfortuately inadvertently encourages farming (I don't WANT to get unhooked as soon as the killer turns around just because you have I'm Gonna Farm Forever and you want a hook save+protection hit, Jake), now we're gonna have bots wasting pallets in an almost-guaranteed-to-fail attempt to save you from the killer's grasp.

I'm mostly jk but... like kinda not LOL

Its always included flashlight and pallet saves.

I want healing a survivor to give you a token as well, I need them 4 stacks, give them to me!

Imagine if bbq and wglf had 12 tokens. Every hook/altruistic action gives a stack, up to a max of 12.

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 28
