And y'know what, that's a fair point that I might actually agree with, in the grand scheme of things it's not necessary that moris should activate on PH cages.
However, that doesn't change the fact that DS is absolutely bullshit, and needs to be changed. Pronto.
I think that it should go inactive after another survivor is hooked, but the timer pauses if you get chased.

Answer: IT'S NOT.
It's complete bullshit and the only people who defend it are completely misguided, misinformed, or flat out biased.
It's hilarious, that when PH releases people (survivor mains I can only assume) freaked out and condemned his power immediately when everybody on the live build realized DS wasn't working. Threads cropping up the very same day or soon after he released to "fix the problem"
When hold on, hear me out, Decisive Strike has been receiving complaints ever since it released alongside the Halloween chapter in October of 2016.
Think about that for a second. The "problem" that just became a "problem" maybe a week ago, is more pressing to fix than the problem that has been widely known about and expressed since 2016 for four years.
That's like telling a self-destructive alcoholic who has been an alcoholic for four years to cut back on all the junk food he's suddenly been eating in the past week. Uhm, THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM.
The only problem that I have with ph is that cages activate moris, but not ds. Either the cages should activate ds, or they shouldn't activate moris. Survivor main, btw. Killer mains are the exact same,(Whiny #########) so don't go shaming someone's main because of a stereotype, as both sides can be entitled.

you say they work (toolbox and prove thyself) but they don't. have you ever saved your game on console and replayed the video you will see that your not decreasing the time it takes to repair gen neither for toolbox or the perk prove thyself. do me a favor and do that and then tell me if you think they still work, ive even watched other players game play and still doesn't do anything meaning it also shows that the toolbox and prove thyself don't decrease the time to repair I know I can't believe it myself until i saved the video and played it back and to my shock and awe I was right. check it out and let me know it takes 1 survivor 80 secs to repair 1 gen so 2 survivors it should be 40 secs but when you use prove thyself with 2 survivors it should be less than 40 secs at least and its not, it shows that the perk is activated when a survivor is working with you on gen but gives you no credit for having the perk, but keep one thing in mind when you check this out for yourself you have to start on gen at same time when working on gen so time it out so you and another survivor start at the same time when you start repairing gen. and for the toolboxes just do the same thing save video and see how long it takes you, you will be sadly disappointed unfortunately.
There's a progress penalty for more than 2 survs on a gen. That isn't how it works. Learn action speeds buddy.

It's because he has the ability to stop the "normal looping," it's the same reason Doctor is unfun or OP now according to survivors. One of the reasons Spirit is OP/Unfun/easy and so on and so on.
The basic survivor accepted formula is 1. See killer coming 2. work on gen until last moment possible 3. get to nearest loop and loop it exactly 3 times then drop pallet 4. run when killer kicks 5. repeat
I don't mind spirit or freddy, but I feel like doctor should be reworked. Once someone gets good with him, its impossible to have fun. And spirit is too easy. Shes the first killer I bought and I could get really easy downs with her. All you really need with her is a good headset.

If you can't easily 4k against most red ranks easily, then get better. I could do this at yellow ranks. Most red ranks are potatoes anyway. If you aren't skilled at killer, play survivor. No one needs to hear someone complain about their lack of skill. Red ranks doesn't mean godlike lol.

Both moris and keys are unbalanced. I personally think that both should be removed. Both promote toxic behaviour equally. You cant call someone a salty surv main for complaining about moris, and same goes for killers about keys. Tbh I have 37 keys on one character, and 0 moris on any killer bc ive used them all to derank from red ranks, as all red ranks genrush. I see brand new parts and keys every game, and I bring a mori and try to depip to get back to grey ranks. At least at rank 20 I don't have to worry about any of that. No moris, no keys. Thats honestly the best thing you can do to not play against them. Unless the devs remove both. My point is, the higher you climb, the more bullshit you dont want to deal with happens.

So, a pretty simple idea to make the game more balanced and make survivors more than just skins would be to make teachable's non- teachable as this would make Claudette the one know for healing etc, etc. and we all know the game is way too easy on survivor right now due to, in most part the access to certain perks.Honestly we should just do readjustments to certain perks. Make DS an exhaustion perk so that you can't pair it with SB. Things like that so we can limit the extremely strong perks from being bunched together while keeping the perks use as a standalone viable.
This is the one good ds change that I have ever heard. Thank you for being a smart human.

It needs to at least be reworked completely like Ruin did. Ruin's useless now so DS should be too.
Ruins still good. Id say it's better. What kind of idiot can't hit greats?

I mean pop isn't that strong... if you down someone and hook them in the right spot you can kill 15 seconds of gen i guess...
But It doesn't have any synergize, it won't work with ruin or surge or tremors and you need to spend time going after a gen while other survivors are doing progress anyway and getting the save
And if you hook someone else too quickly it won't work with the long cooldown and if your stuck in a chase you won't get to use it anyway..
Its only good because most killer perks are utter garbage
There isn't even a cool down lol

@Sluzzy said:
No perk should remove the opponents objective progress for simply doing your own objective. A good killer will always and I mean always down survivors quickly.
PGTW needs to be redesigned into something like overcharge, if you miss a very difficult skillcheck then the progress is removed. I don't like the perk at all, I feel like it carries killers that are high mobility and that means it was not well thought out.
Overcharge is way too easy to hit. Half a great, now we're talking.

And you're wanting it to get nerfed why?
What is the core reason you want DS nerfed? Is it to play friendlier? To "have more fun."
HELLLLLLLLLLLL NO, I see every killer who want DS nerfed as a villain. You want to take away the only perk in their arsenal that prevents killers like you from playing scummy, from playing like a complete jerk. I can't even imagine the field day a player like your, or a player that wants DS nerfed has when they don't see an obsession.
You're probably the type of player that has their Steam on Private so people won't -Rep you to death.
I'm a killer main who is fine with DS. A player slugged is as useless as a player on a hook.
Can't you count to 60? Can't you tell who you just hooked and who recently was unhooked? You can't tell a Shirtless David from a Meg apart? What's preventing you from going for the unhooker? Do you need BBQ so you wouldn't have a reason to camp and tunnel? I can give you 500 Auric Cells if you need them so you can get Bubba. What reason do you have to want DS nerfed?
Giving someone like him bubba would NOT be a good idea

Just the fact you mention ranks shows you are clueless about a big aspect of the game and probably and hopefully don't have many hours in this game. If you do that is a shame you haven't learnt anything for all those hours. Rank literally shows nothing but how much you played in a month. If you watched any good streamers they also know rank means nothing there is extreme potatoes at rank 1 you think plays like rank 20 and god mode lords at rank 8.
Spoken like a true rank 21

So then high ranking survivors shouldn't get points for escaping when they bully the rank 20 killer into disconnecting.
I kind of have to agree with this. I was on a different account, as I had taken the disc to my cousins house, and was a rank 20. On my reg. account, I am rank one. Anyways, somehow in rank 20 queues, I had gotten three rank ones against a rank 20 killer. I didn't get out, because the killer facecamped as he was a rank 20. I died on first hook and looked at the ranks. Three rank ones against a rank 20 lol.

Totems shouldn't be survivor-sided, especially Hex totems. It's a killer's perk, so while it can be taken away it should require survivors to actively look for it throughout a map. That is why the newer maps, particularly the indoor ones, are some of the most fair maps in the game (in my opinion, unless you're a killer that benefits from more open space/grass).
The most fair map for me is azarovs, all of them. I can get a decent run there as survivor, and can get a five second chase as killer (billy) although totem spawns are always horrible as killer and survivor. For some reason, my devour gets cleansed in the first 5 seconds as killer, or I can never find a totem as survivor. Maybe I'm just really unlucky lol.

- Small Game
- Detective's Hunch (probably the absolute best anti-totem perk).
- Map with Yellow Wire
- Rainbow Map
- Any map offering other than Lerys or Hawkins
Not to mention that if you truly commit to it, you can find all the totems on any map. It's not hard to learn how totems spawn and where they spawn and search the map for them.
Truth is, your friends should have just left you to die if they couldn't find the totem. Doc gets 1 kill. Sucks to be that guy on the hook, but better than feeding him more kills.
He only killed the guy who saved... I got out. In all of the time ive been playing( since late December, but still red rank btw its easy as survivor lol) ive only gotten the swamp a few times, so I know more totem spawns on hawkins than there. No-one put on a map offering, we just got unlucky with the map. I also couldnt run detectives, bc I was doing a vid on plunderers. The build was plunderers, ace in the hole, d's and bl. They only saved bc I had a- carried the team or b- he had insidious so they didn't know he was there, not sure which.
-
It's also painful to get 5 stack devour on an indoor map. Totems arent always survivor sided.

No it's still their fault. If you don't get all the totems then expect a NOED and play safe at the end game.
If its a map with really difficult totem spawns then its not. Although playing safe is good, it doesn't really counter noed. Like this one match. I had a doctor who facecamped off the first hook(me, don't judge I can't loop swamp) and tunneled me, I looped him for five gens and got adrenaline, but he had noed, he downed me, face camped, but my team couldn't find the totem and ended up doing a one for one, as I had carried the team ( I window teched over 20 times and he never knew where I was for a couple of seconds after) anyways, I saved in front of him, and he picked up immediately. He got hit by d's and I got out when I saw that he had downed the other guy. The poor guy didnt have d's and the doctor ended up getting a kill he didn't deserve, all because of that map having hard totem spawns. That wasn't anyone's fault. My point is that sometimes noed isn't preventable. It's really all about luck with the map, honestly.

It doesn't reward survivors for playing poorly, it punishes killers for not changing tactics. OMFG
Would you say NOED rewards killers for playing poorly? NO! It punishes survivors that don't do totems.
If you get hit by NOED or DS it's your own fault.
Noed isn't necessarily the survs fault if they get hard maps to find totems like haddonfield indoor maps and coldwind, so there's that.
-
How?
-
Survivor: Ds- Most red rank killers tunnel.
Killer: Bbq and chili- I'm a billy main.

As silly as it sounds I like running it as a "free Boldness" perk with how close a hook typically is at most times. That's 500 Boldness every minute for a quick 2.5 second action meaning I don't have to go too far out of my way from a generator or take too much time with say finding and breaking a totem to get points.
Also maybe give the perk only half the cooldown if you stop or get interrupted while using it.
Just get chased my guy

His only strenght Is camping, what buffs would u give him?
Camping is a very boring way to play. You have to secure ONE kill with perks and an ability for downing multiple people. It takes the fun away, and without fun, whats the point in playing? You can't say rank either, because if you facecamp for a whole game, you will depip, even with a 4k. If they remove that ability, and replace it with lower charge time, more acceleration, and less of a tantrum time maybe, the game would be a lot more fun. I get at least six facecamping leatherface a day. That's why I hate the current state of leatherface. He sucks the fun out of a game. So tell me whats fun about face camping. Do people like to deny other people fun in a game? Do people find that fun? If someone does, they should not be playing the game. It isn't fair to the people who play to have fun.

That would make him even worse killer than he Is now
How though? As I said I am open to others ideas, however I dont understand how it would make him worse. Ik bubbas a weak killer, however his ability to facecamp makes him overpowered. Remove that, and he isnt annoying to go up against as survivor. I'm a survivor main, and I know how boring it is to have no chance to live. Btw dont call me an entitled survivor main, because I'm not. I do care about killers. They should get rid of facecamping, and buff his power in a way that isnt scummy, but makes him fun to go up against, like hillbilly or demo, and fun to play as, like hillbilly and ghostface. I'm a hillbilly main when I do play killer, and I personally think that he's the most fun out of all of the killers to play as/against. Making leatherface more like him would be a good change. Make him more fun. Its not fun to facecamp as killer, and isn't fun to go up against as survivor, which is why I hate leatherface in his current state.

@SweetTerror said:
Since his chainsaw takes so long to rev up, I think they need to either get rid of the slowdown, or at the very least reduce the pause that he has when hitting an object with the chainsaw. At the very least that pause should be the same length as the hillbilly.
So you're saying that you should make an overpowered killer stronger. Although he isnt a powerful killer, once he has someone downed, he can just rev his chainsaw right in front of someone on the hook. What I think they should do is make the chainsaw only revvable for 15 seconds at a time, with a 5 second cool down to prevent facecamping. I only say this because this is how almost every bubba plays. That's what overpowered about him. He can facecamp without repercussion, plus if someone goes for the save, it gives him two hooks at one time, reducing progression of the game by 50%. This rework would be one of the best ways to go, as it doesn't weaken his already mediocre power, while preventing scummy facecampers. Idk if anyone has a better idea, but if you do let me know.
